“The liberal western media has been holding up the revolution in Egypt as a victory for Democracy. In particular, a young man by the name of Wael Ghonim, regional manager for Google in northern Africa and the Middle East has been receiving much of the praise for orchestrating the revolution via digital social networks.

Former Muslim Brotherhood activist and PLO member Walid Shoebat has been monitoring arab media’s reporting on what is taking place and Ghonim appears to have already been thrown under the bus.

On Friday, February 18th, Ghonim was on a stage with a radical Sheikh who has been extremely sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood over the years – Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradawi. However, Ghonim was forced to leave the stage in disgrace while Al-Qaradawi took charge of its center.”  Read more.
