Ever since the January 25 revolution, she is experiencing a difficult period. ‘In the first days of the mass demonstrations against Mubarak, my mother and me couldn’t even sleep because of fear,’ said the Christian Copt. ‘We didn’t know what will happen to us. Ever since then, even though the general security situation in the country has stabilized, our fears were confirmed.’

In recent months we have seen significant escalation in violent clashes between radical Islamists and members of the Copt minority across Egypt. It started with the lethal suicide attack in one of Alexandria’s main churches in the first days of the year, even before the popular protest against Mubarak gained steam. Twenty three worshippers were murdered and some 100 were wounded…

‘At first we thought that the revolution would put Egypt on the right path,’ said Maher, who immigrated to Canada and returned to visit his family. ‘We believed that the many minorities in the country would be able to live freely in a new society, yet today we no longer believe it. The Islamists are reckless and are taking over the country. It’s only a matter of time before they impose Islamic law here.'” Read more.

“TEHRAN – Iran said on Saturday it test-fired two long-range missiles into the Indian Ocean earlier this year, the first time it has fired missiles into that sea, according to state television.

‘In the month of Bahman (Jan 21-Feb 19) two missiles with a range of 1,900 km (1,180 miles) were fired from Semnan province(in northern Iran) into the mouth of the Indian Ocean,’ Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Revolutionary Guards’ aerospace division, told a news conference some of which was shown on television.

Iran usually tests its missiles in extensive deserts in the heart of the country, so the firing into the Indian Ocean is an unusual move, aimed to prove Tehran’s longstanding claims it can hit targets beyond its borders…

The announcement came after a 10-day military exercise by the elite Guards that was designed to deter Iran’s enemies by showing Iran is ready and able to hit back at US bases in the Middle East and at Israel.” Read more.

Colebatch – “British police — sarcastically described as the enforcement arm of the left-wing Guardian because of their zeal in prosecuting political incorrectness — have been accused of suppressing information about a wave of threats, abuse and violence in Islamicising areas of London, in particular the borough of Tower Hamlets.

Victims say police in the borough, fearing racism allegations, have ignored or downplayed cases where people — Muslim and non-Muslim alike — have been threatened or beaten for breaching ‘Islamic norms.’ One such victim, Mohammed Monzur Rahman, was left partially blind after being beaten by a mob for smoking during Ramadan. According to a local anti-extremism campaigner, Rahman reported the incident to police, but was told they could not take action because there were no witnesses — absurd, considering that the street was lined with closed-circuit TV cameras and filled with people.

Already Muslim immigration, concentrated in ‘Londonistan’ and other big-city areas, has reached a point where it is unsafe for Englishwomen to walk in many streets uncovered or for Jews to venture out wearing such identifying symbols as skull-caps. A video is being shown on the Internet of police apparently running in terror through the London streets from a mob bearing placards proclaiming BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT ISLAM and similar slogans. Even politically-liberal comedian John Cleese recently declared: ‘London is no longer an English city.'” Read more.

“Iran has enough low-enriched uranium to produce two nuclear weapons, which it could have prepared and ready for delivery as early as 2012, Leon Panetta, the CIA director, said on Sunday.

Tehran would need a year to enrich the uranium fully to produce a bomb and it would take ‘another year to develop the kind of weapon delivery system in order to make that viable,’ Mr Panetta said.

Sanctions imposed by the United Nations could help weaken Tehran’s government by creating economic problems, but were unlikely to put an end to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Mr Panetta told the ABC network’s ‘This Week’ programme.

Iran is under mounting international pressure over its suspect nuclear programme, which the West fears masks a covert weapons drive. Iran denies the charge, insisting that its atomic programme is for peaceful civilian purposes only.” Read more.

Flashback: Iran to Test First Nuclear Bomb by 2012? – “According to sources in the Revolutionary Guards of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei has ordered them to proceed immediately with the completion of the Iranian atomic bomb project, including testing and arming of missiles with nuclear payload. Ayatollah Khamenei’s decision is based on a belief by the Islamic regime’s strategists that both America and Israel lack the courage and the ability to dismantle the Iranian nuclear facilities. The Iranian regime believes that America and Israel fear Iran’s retaliation, and that it has had them frozen in place and confused as to what action to take next. They have concluded that this presents a great opportunity for the Iranian regime to become a nuclear-armed state without any interference from the outside.” Read more.

‘The U.S. is in the line of fire’, warns Iran’s elite military commander – “A senior Iranian military commander sent panic through the world today after making a chilling claim today that his country has the ability to produce even longer range missiles than those currently in its arsenal. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Guard’s Aerospace Force, said that the U.S. and it’s ‘Zionist regime’ was in the line of fire. The remarks came as Iran is conducting 10 days of war games designed as a show of strength amid a standoff with the West over the country’s controversial nuclear programme.” Read more.

By Yossi Melman – “…  Iran is determined to continue its nuclear program at full speed and is even accelerating the pace… Iran’s leadership is undaunted by the sanctions imposed on the country, or by the damage the Stuxnet computer worm caused to the program that operates the centrifuges at the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz. The Stuxnet worm has been ascribed to a sabotage operation undertaken by the Mossad and the CIA. According to foreign sources, it is one of the major achievements of former Mossad head Meir Dagan.

In the same announcement, Abbasi Davani said Iran has developed an advanced centrifuge model whose rotors spin at greater speed, thus enabling the enrichment of a larger amount of uranium in a shorter time. Such centrifuges, he said, will be constructed at the second uranium enrichment site that Iran built secretly near the Revolutionary Guards base just outside of Qom.

According to the reports of IAEA inspectors who visited it, the site, built deep inside a mountain, looks like a fortified facility made to withstand aerial bombardments. Its existence was revealed in September 2009 thanks to information obtained by the intelligence agencies of Israel, the U.S. and Britain. According to both diplomatic sources in Vienna and intelligence experts, the site at Qom, which contains only 3,000 centrifuges, can only have one goal – enriching uranium for the production of a nuclear weapon.” Read more.

Flashback: Iran believes it could destroy Israel with a single nuke – “Iran’s nuclear program seeks first-strike capability against Israel, a leading strategist said. The Israeli strategist and former intelligence officer said Iran believes it could destroy the Jewish state with one nuclear weapon. ‘Iranians believe that it holds, may hold, a first strike capability against Israel once it has a nuclear capability,’ said Shmuel Bar, director of studies at the Institute of Police and Strategy. Iran believes ‘that Israel is a one-bomb country, one bomb from the point-of-view of the receiving side; that the U.S. would not intervene against Iran under such conditions; and all of that with apocalyptic zeal may result in actual use of nuclear weapons,’ he said.” Read more.

And it was just another fluke that this particular miscreant, hell bent on committing mass murder, was again an Islamist.  So there’s still no reason for the TSA to ever profile individuals such as this, that would just be silly and ‘Islamophobic’, even if they really do want to kill you …

“NEW YORK — A New York man who plotted violent jihad against US forces in the Middle East and the Balkans was convicted Thursday of conspiracy to commit murder and other charges, federal prosecutors here said.

Betim Kaziu was tried in a federal court trial in Brooklyn, where the charges against him included plotting to commit murder overseas and attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, the US justice department said in a statement.

He was also convicted of conspiring to provide material support to terrorism and conspiring to use a machine gun to commit those crimes.

Prosecutors said that Kaziu, 23, traveled from New York to Cairo in February 2009 to wage jihad against US troops in the Middle East and the Balkans.

In Egypt, the defendant attempted to acquire automatic weapons and to travel to Somalia to join the radical Somali al-Shebab network, US authorities said.” Read more.
