Brace for Another U.S.-Mideast War

By Aaron Klein – “JERUSALEM – Turkey secretly passed a message to Damascus last week that if it does not implement major democratic reforms, NATO may attack Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime, according to Egyptian security officials speaking to WND.

The Egyptian security officials said the message was coordinated with NATO members, specifically with the U.S. and European Union.

Assad has been widely accused of ordering massacres on militants and protesters engaged in an insurgency targeting his regime.

The Egyptian officials said Turkish leaders, speaking for NATO, told Assad that he has until March to implement democratization that would allow free elections as well as major constitutional reforms.

The officials said the NATO message demanded Assad halt attacks against the insurgency and begin the process of democratization immediately.

Last week it was widely reported Turkey gave the Syrian government a two-week ultimatum to come up with a set of reforms and asked Assad’s regime to withdraw its security forces from protest cities.

The reports, however, did not mention any message passed to Assad on behalf of NATO.

Yesterday, the Spanish newspaper El Pais reported Spain sent a secret mission to Syria in July to attempt to find a solution to the current conflict there and offer asylum to Assad and his family.

While it is not clear what form any NATO military action would take against Assad’s regime, the Egyptian security officials told WND they would expect such action to mimic the international coalition that has been targeting Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi.” Read more.

Syria using Iranian snipers as violent crackdown continues – “IRANIAN snipers are being used in Syria to put down the growing tide of demonstrations against president Bashar al-Assad, claims a member of the regime’s secret police who has fled to Turkey. The 25-year-old officer offered a detailed account of increasingly brutal tactics used by security forces to end the five-month uprising, including parading women naked through the streets and shoot-to-kill orders against unarmed protesters. He said he had beaten prisoners and shot at protesters in Dasmascus. At times during the past two months he was aware of Iranian troops operating alongside his team in the Syrian capital.” Read more.

That’s March 2012. Keep in mind April 1, 2012 is Palm Sunday, 1260 days before the first day of Rosh Hashanah begins the evening of Sept 13, 2015… Just something to watch.

Revelation 13:1a, “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea …”

Luke 21:25, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring …”

I wonder if Revelation 8:8 also refers to a sea of people/nations? If so, it’s going to get very messy over there.

Revelation 8:8, “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood …”

In general I think that method of interpretation is more in keeping with how Revelation is written and meant to be read, but I don’t have an opinion yet about the specifics of that verse.

A “mountain” scripturally represents a kingdom or center of worship (i.e., Mt. Gerazim or Mt. Zion), and “the sea” is well established as being unstable, storm-tossed humanity, so your interpretation is definitely possible.

I am still going to continue to push the Historicist view of Rev., (which is not necessarily un-Islamic Beast-y, so to speak) through the seals and trumpets, and I’m going to take a stab at disassociating the trumpets and the bowls, your very excellent analysis notwithstanding. I’ve made it through Seal 3, and have a good notion about Seal 4. After that things get a little squishy. But regarding the trumpets and bowls, I am wondering out loud if Trumpet 7 is not the FoT and Bowl 6/7 is not the DoTL/DoA, with the Saints either in Jerusalem, or perhaps a descending Jerusalem between the two Feasts (we should call them “Appointments”)?

Mike Bickle teaches two descents of Jerusalem, the first at the beginning of the Mill, and the second at the new heavens and earth, with the 2nd descent described first in Rev 21:1-8:

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea[unredeemed, non-glorified body humanity??]”, v.1

    and also

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”, v.4

So after the Mill, sin is completely gone from Earth, whereas in the Millennium’s New Jerusalem, described in Rev 21:10-26, there are still ‘nations’ and ‘kings of the earth’, the gates are the twelve tribes (Israel) and the foundations are twelve precious stones, the apostles (the church), God’s one people through the two covenants…etc.

But back to the original thought–yes, Revelation must be interpreted symbolically to arrive at a true meaning. Or another way of putting it–in order for Revelation to be literally true, it must be symbolically interpreted.
