“ROMPIN: Malaysians should support President Barack Obama’s policies on improving ties with Islamic countries, said Malaysian Ambassador to the United States Datuk Seri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis.

He said it was especially crucial as Obama was facing great challenges to his policies from Congress.

‘The previous administration’s policies towards Islamic countries were very worrying to us.’

‘Ever since Obama took over, he has been implementing changes to build better relations with Islamic nations,’ said Dr Jamaluddin.

He added that Obama should be supported so he would continue to treat Muslims fairly.

‘It is not easy for him to change the prejudice towards Islam which has become deeply set.’

‘We have to support him, not criticise him as it cannot be changed in the blink of an eye,’ he told reporters after handing out dividend payments to participants of Risda’s commercial replanting scheme at Muadzam Shah here recently.” Read more.

Large majority of American Muslims support Barack Obama – “A majority of US Muslims are content with the nation’s direction in contrast to many Americans and few Muslims believe there is support for Islamic extremism here, a survey released on Tuesday found… In contrast to the majority of the general public dissatisfied with the nation’s direction, 56 percent of the estimated 2.75 million American Muslims said they are satisfied, the survey showed. Three Muslim Brotherhood members employed by the White House, influencing policies of President Obama – “Rashad Hussain is Obama’s special envoy to the 52-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference. His background is entrenched in the Muslim Brotherhood… Dalia Mogahed is a speech writer and chief advisor on Islamic affairs for Barack Obama. Numerous sites provide information that show Ms. Mogahed is pro-Sharia and deeply entrenched with the Muslim Brotherhood and its offshoot, Muslim American Society… Azizah al-Hibri was appointed by the president to the Commission on International Religious Freedom. She is an intellectual professor and lawyer who defends Islamic law. She once served on the advisory board for Mohammed Alamoudi of the American Muslim Council, defending Alamoudi even after he made public statements supporting terrorism.” Read more.

Flashback: Obama allows 80,000 Muslim immigrants into United States – “President Barack Hussein Obama, in a determination letter to Congress, has announced that he will allow an additional 80,000 immigrants –- mostly from Islamic countries –- to resettle in the United States during fiscal year 2011. Mr. Obama says that the increase in Muslim immigrants ‘is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.’ For a president who browbeats Americans about the Federal government having separation of church and state he sure is advocating one religion consistently over all the others.
