Retired Egyptian General Believes Egypt Will Join Iran and Syria If They Are Attacked

We heed the call of Arabism!’ with regard to the revival of the joint Arab defense agreement. The Egyptian military will not leave the powerful Syrian Arab army alone in the battlefield. This may be a good opportunity for Israel to learn that when Egypt and Syria unite, the end will be like in the days of Saladin. Moreover, the US must never forget the humiliation and harsh lesson that it was taught in the days of President Carter, when Iran humiliated America for 400 days in the US embassy affair. The US must never forget this lesson. It must never forget how its airplanes and helicopters collided. Islamist Organization CAIR Demands Defense Department Fire Ex-Muslim Iran Expert (Because He Tells The Truth)
WND – “WASHINGTON – A former Iranian CIA operative, now an expert lecturer with the Defense Department, is being targeted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim Brotherhood front group, because he ‘renounced Islam and began the quest to find the real God.’
CAIR, based in Washington, D.C., is calling on the Defense Department to fire Reza Kahlili, a frequent contributing writer to WND, in part, a press release from the group states, because he became a Christian and revealed his change of faith in a commentary in WND.
‘They actually cite my change of faith as a principal reason for targeting me,’ Kahlili told WND in a phone interview. ‘I thought once I left Iran for America I wouldn’t have to worry about that kind of persecution.’
Khalili uses a pseudonym and guards his anonymity because of death threats he faces from The Islamic Republic of Iran.
Among the other reasons CAIR says it wants Kahlili driven out of the Defense Department is because of his documented revelations that:
Iranian agents are ‘coordinating operations out of [U.S.] mosques and Islamic centers’;
Iran already has nuclear weapons; and
Iranian agents have infiltrated the United States through the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim Students Association.’
CAIR, unlike almost any other organization in the public eye, has been associated with a disturbing number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations.
‘Their offices have been a turnstile for terrorists and their supporters,’ said one FBI veteran familiar with recent and ongoing cases involving CAIR officials.” Read more.

Kenya: Mass Vaccination Planned After Outbreak Kills More Than 1,300 Animals
By Mathews Ndanyi and Janet Yego, allAfrica – “The government will vaccinate livestock in Kerio Valley where a disease outbreak suspected to be East Coast Fever has killed more than 1,300 animals in three weeks. Bernard Mwenga who is in charge of Disease Control at the Ministry of Livestock says they are waiting for test results on the disease’s identity before beginning the exercise. The outbreak has been reported in Marakwet East and West, Pokot Central and East Baringo districts all located in the Kerio Valley.
Marakwet West district livestock and veterinary officer Dr Joseph Keying confirmed that the outbreak has been reported in the region but could not give details on the number of animals that have died. ‘The symptoms indicate the disease to be East Coast Fever. We have sent officers to the ground to establish the situation before we put in place control measures,’ said Keying.
Yesterday Mwenga said they feared the disease could affect the livestock and meat market hence the decision to carry out the vaccination. Keying said the disease is spread by ticks especially during the rainy season. The valley has experienced heavy rains in the last few month. East Coast Fever is prevalent in East and Central Africa. The ticks host the parasite responsible for the disease. Indigenous cattle are more resistant to the disease than their foreign counterpart.
However reports from Kerio indicate that both have died from the mysterious disease. ‘It is unfortunate that farmers have lost livestock. They ought to be sensitised about control measures,’ said Keying.” Read more.
California: Thousands Of Dead Fish Spotted Around Lake Elsinore
By Toni McAllister, LakeElsinore-WildomarPatch – “Residents around Lake Elsinore are taking notice: Thousands of dead Shad fish are being spotted on the lake’s beaches this week.
Saturday, a Patch reader submitted the attached photos and expressed some concern about the dead fish.
‘I went fishing this morning back behind the abandoned boy’s military school off Grand and all along the shoreline for at least a mile there were thousands and thousands of dead Shad all over the place,’ Eric Ritchie said in an email.
Additionally, during a town hall meeting Wednesday night at Lakeland Village School, a resident voiced her concern about the lake’s odor caused by the die-off.
But Lake Elsinore Mayor Brian Tisdale told the audience assembled at the school this week that Shad are very sensitive fish that can easily succumb to sudden temperature change. He pointed to an earlier heat wave this month that was followed by a cool spell, and now more hot weather.
Tisdale said the aeration system in the lake hasn’t changed, and the Shad die-off is something to contend with when the weather causes abrupt temperature flux.
In April, Lake Elsinore had a similar Shad die-off. Then Interim City Manager Pat Kilroy said, ‘Shad are sensitive,’ and tend to be the first species hit when changes occur in the lake.” Source – LakeElsinore-Wildomar.Patch.com.
Maryland: Thousands Of Dead Fish Wash Up In Piney Point, ‘There Are Just Dead Fish Everywhere’
By JESSE YEATMAN, SoMdNews.com – “Thousands of dead fish lined private beaches Thursday along Lighthouse Road, the state highway that leads to Piney Point Lighthouse.
Residents and a spokesperson for the Maryland Department of the Environment speculated that the fish kill could have been caused by low oxygen in the water and high temperatures, a condition sometimes referred to as a red tide…
‘It’s been bad for the last two weeks,’ waterman Craig Kelley of Ridge said…
When fish die like that, Kelley said, they first sink to the bottom where they stay for a few days. As they bloat the fish rise and begin to float. Depending on the wind and tides they can wash up on shore, he said.
Dead, rotting fish are useless as bait, he added.
There are crab pots scattered throughout the river off the shoreline in Piney Point and three large pound nets used for catching fish are nearby.
According to one woman visiting friends at Piney Point, more than a mile-long stretch of beach along Lighthouse Road was littered with dead fish between 6 inches and a foot long.
‘There are just dead fish everywhere,’ she said.
Roman Pausch of Tall Timbers was visiting his parents who live along Lighthouse Road.
‘This is more than usual,’ he said Thursday morning while taking in the scene. ‘This seems like an awful lot.'” Read more.
India: Wildlife Department Mystified As Dozens Of Peacocks Drop Dead
By Z Ali and Sajid Bajeer, The Express Tribune – “MITHI / HYDERABAD: The Sindh Wildlife Department believes that the peacocks which died in Thar were suffering from ‘Ranikhet’ or Newcastle Disease, which is a fatal and contagious virus found among birds, including chicken. However, blood tests of sick and dead peacocks have yet to be conducted.
Although no exact figure for the dead peacocks is available, the residents of Mithi say that more than 50 have perished within a week across half a dozen villages. The ones which have died in the forest or were eaten by animals have not been included in this figure.
Over a week after the birds started appearing ill, chief conservator Saeed Akhtar Baloch visited those villages in Mithi which reported the highest incidence of deaths.
‘If we had treated the peacocks in time, many of them would not have died,’ he admitted. He has also suspended assistant conservator Lajpat Sharma and game officer Ashfaq Memon for showing negligence.
He added that a team of vets from the Poultry Development Department will come to Thar on July 23 with medicines so that the ailing birds can be cured.
Earlier, vets from the livestock and poultry departments said the peacocks had been suffering from an acute deficiency of vitamins and minerals.” Read more.
Alberta: Thousands Of Dead Fish Wash Ashore On Pigeon Lake
By MATT DYKSTRA, QMI Agency – “EDMONTON – Beach-front property owners on Pigeon Lake were shocked Sunday morning to see ‘thousands’ of dead fish wash up on the sand along Ma-Me-O Beach.
Seagulls were feasting on the piles of dead walleye along the beach as community members led a self-started clean-up operation on the lake 109 kilometres southwest of Edmonton.
From the window of her cabin, Deborah Cresswell said she could see at least a dozen people walking the shoreline, organizing the fish into piles and shovelling them into the bucket of a backhoe for disposal.
‘It’s surprising because we’ve been going to the beach and swimming every day and suddenly … we go to the beach and it’s littered with thousands of dead fish,’ Cresswell said.
‘The fish started coming in last (Saturday) night after it was really windy,’ Cresswell said, speculating that ‘the weather gets a little too hot and when the water gets above a certain temperature, the fish all die.’
The fish aren’t small either, Cresswell said. Each fish is at least a foot-and-a-half long and would’ve made any sport-fisherman happy with his catch. Even now, the dead fish are still washing ashore, she said.” Read more.
Florida: Thousands Of Dead Fish Litter Volusia’s Beaches As Far As The Eye Could See, ‘I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It’
By JULIE MURPHY, The Daytona Beach News Journal – “ORMOND-BY-THE-SEA — Officials believe that thousands of fish that washed ashore Sunday, both at Ormond-by-the-Sea and Ponce Inlet, are the by-catch of shrimp boats, a Volusia County Beach Patrol captain said.
‘We don’t know absolutely for sure, but I’ve called around and everyone seems to think they are from the shrimp boats,’ Capt. Tammy Marris said Sunday afternoon.
Crowds at Ormond-by-the-Sea thinned as the dead fish washed ashore in the early afternoon.
‘It was packed and we were swimming and swimming,’ said resident Monique Marella. ‘Then the fish came and you sure couldn’t be the water. Everyone just left.’
Marella and her companions said three shrimp boats had been with 100 yards of the shore.
‘At first everyone just thought it was (the shrimp boats), but there were so many fish,’ she said. ‘I don’t see how it could be that.’
Dead fish, mostly whiting, were visible on the beach as far as the eye could see both to the north and to the south.
Kevin Soravilla, visiting from New Jersey, was worried that a lack of oxygen or a drop in the water temperature caused the fish to die.
‘There’s just so many of them,’ he said. ‘I’ve never seen anything like it.'” Read more.
China: Scores Injured As Worst Typhoon In 10 Years Lashes Hong Kong
The Business Times – “HONG KONG – Scores of people were injured and trees were ripped from the ground as a typhoon lashed Hong Kong packing winds in excess of 140 kilometres (87 miles) an hour, officials said Tuesday.
Authorities issued a hurricane warning for the first time since 1999 as Typhoon Vicente roared to within 100 kilometres of Hong Kong shortly after midnight, disrupting dozens of flights to the regional hub.
The alarm was downgraded to a strong wind warning by mid-morning as the cyclone passed to the west and weakened over the southern Chinese coast.
The storm brought down hundreds of trees and sent debris crashing into downtown streets as commuters made their way home from work on Monday evening, when people were told to seek shelter.” Read more.
Japan: Advisory Panels Call For Immediate Legislation To Prepare For Devastating Tokyo Earthquake
By YOSUKE AKAI – “Saying Japan’s very survival is at stake, two advisory panels urged the government to take immediate action–including finding an alternative capital–to prepare for an earthquake that could devastate the Tokyo area.
The working groups are discussing measures to deal with massive quakes that could be triggered by movement along the Nankai Trough as well as one directly under the capital.
In an unusual move, the groups called on the government to pass legislation for the quake-preparedness measures even before estimating the number of fatalities and damage from such temblors.
‘There is a need for the entire society to deal with the two quakes that are expected to cause extensive damage,’ according to interim reports released on July 19 by the two working groups, respectively.
Passage of special measures laws would allow a wide area covered by the studies to take effective measures to deal with the possibility of the huge earthquakes.
The Nankai Trough extends from Suruga Bay near Shizuoka Prefecture to off the coast of Kyushu in southern Japan.
Special measures laws were passed in 1978 to deal with a possible Tokai quake and in 2002 to prepare for Tonankai and Nankai quakes. But there is no law for a unified response to a Nankai Trough quake with an expected magnitude over 9.0.
One estimate for possible damage from a Nankai Trough quake was 400,000 fatalities.
The two working groups have yet to come up with their own damage estimates. But their recommendation for swift passage of legislation underscores their sense of urgency from not being able to pinpoint when such a destructive quake might hit.” Read more.

Iran: Ayatollah Mouthpiece Media Calls Upon Damascus To Attack ‘Totally Unprepared’ Israel
By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu , INN – “Syrian President Bashar Assad should attack Israel, says an Iranian newspaper considered the mouthpiece of the Supreme Leader.
Iran is concerned that the fall of Assad’s regime will cost the Islamic Republic its closest ally and could ignite anti-Syrian elements in Lebanon, base of the Iranian-funded Hizbullah terrorist organization and political party.
The Kayhan newspaper, which operates directly under the supervision of the Islamic Supreme Leader of Iran, wrote last week that Assad has every reason to strike Israel because of Israel’s alleged responsibility for the bombing in Damascus, which killed several of Assad’s’ top military officers.
The suicide blast has been widely attributed to Al Qaeda or other terrorists, if not the Syrian rebels themselves, and no journalist has even implied that Israel was involved.
The newspaper’s call for war cannot be taken lightly. Kayhan ‘offers insight into the most extreme views of Iran’s leaders and into the mind-set and plans of those who are at the center of power,’ according to New York Times correspondent Michael Slackman.
The daily charged that Israel’s military deployment along the Syrian border prior to the bombing was further evidence of its responsibility for it, even though the IDF has posted troops there ever since the Six-Day War in 1967…
‘It is patently clear that Israel is currently totally unprepared for military confrontation – on the contrary, the worst possible scenario for it right now would be a confrontation with Syria,’ Kayhan wrote.
‘Such a confrontation would turn the atmosphere in the region against the Zionist regime, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and against the entire American-Zionist front – thus unifying the resistance front and making it operational.'” Read more.

Egypt: New Fatwa Bans Muslim Taxi And Bus Drivers From Transporting Christian Leaders To Churches
By Raymond Ibrahim – “Dr. Yassir al-Burhami, a prominent figure in Egypt’s Salafi movement and vice president of the Salafi Call—the same sheikh who seeks to punish Muslim apostates, condemns Mother’s Day, and advocates deceiving Israel—has just issued a fatwa, published in the ‘Voice of the Righteous Salaf,’ forbidding Muslim taxi-drivers and bus-drivers from transporting Coptic priests to their churches, which he depicted as ‘more forbidden than taking someone to a liquor bar.’
This analogy, of course, does not begin with Sheikh Burhami, but traces back to some of Islam’s early giants, including Ibn Taymiyya and Ibn Qayyim, who agreed that ‘building churches is worse than building bars and brothels, for those [churches] symbolize infidelity, whereas these [bars and brothels] represent immorality.
The logic is simple: It is better to profess Islam and sin, than to profess Christianity and not sin—for the latter denies the veracity of Islam, and hence is much more abominable. In this context, the Muslim who transports a priest to his church where he will preach Christianity—a message that contradicts Islam—is a terrible crime.” Source – Jihad Watch.
