    Is there any significant difference between the punishments for similar behaviors mandatory in the Old Testament and in Islam? I seem to recall a stoning of a woman caught for adultary the Jesus interrupted, don’t you.

    You have a point Robert in Arabia, however the old testament was written over 4,000 years ago, the Rabbi Yeshua/Jesus made a great deal of difference to this particular law. Stoning never takes place under Judaic law, so I think your point is rather silly. Judaism is revised over and over. Today Jewish Law is nothing like the Old Testament and I am not just giving rose colored ideas as a Jewess. We as Jews do not fight amongst each other, the occasional bit of grumbling is heard but modern Judaism simply deals with this kind of thing in a reasonable manner. I am speaking of some of the seriously orthodox sects which many young Orthodox find stifling and somewhat out of date. Islam has made no progress in 1400 years after all for 600 years of that 1400 they were ruled by the Ottomans. As for many of the Arab Royal families or Sheiks as I prefer to address them they have strangle hold power over the countries and the majority are kept in Sharia chains. The families have vast sums of money at their disposal and instead of divesting themselves of power and introducing a Parliament there is in the Middle East serious poverty and illiteracy. What the middle east needs is a civil war as in Britain when Charles First was beheaded, parliament instituted and then came the return of Charles II who knew his place and today our Royal Family is merely figure head but nevertheless keeps Parliament in check if necessary. This is modern politics not medieval as in Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen Jordan etc etc.,

    To ‘Robert in Arabia’ – Something you may have forgotten–God’s Lamb has been sacrificed to fulfill this Old Testament requirement. That’s why Jewish Law no longer requires death for adultery. Unfortunately not all Jews will acknowledge their kinsman Redeemer as their Savior but it doesn’t change the fact that he took their place of punishment on the Cross.

    Let there be no doubt–God requires bloodshed to pay for sin. Sin = rebellion against God’s known Law. The punishment is death. No one is exempt.

    Let’s suppose that you up and decided to kill or rape my wife or child. At that point I must make a choice. I can choose to forgive you or I can seek revenge. In God’s eyes we are all as guilty as sin! His Law requires death. There is no exception.

    God has chosen to forgive the guilty transgressors. The remedy has been paid in full. A pure, spotless Lamb bled and died to pay this eternal price. It’s no joke! Jesus paid for my sins and yours–you can accept Him and his forgiveness or reject Him and PAY THE PRICE YOURSELF! THE PRICE OF REJECTION IS ETERNITY IN A PLACE OF TORMENT, DEVOID OF ALL MERCY, CALLED HELL!

    To ‘ICA’ – The point of the video is well taken–all of islam is an unequivocal system of vile sharia requirements for “righteousness”, which masquerades itself as God’s true law. BUT NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!!! THERE IS NO TRUTH WHATSOEVER IN ANYTHING OR ANYONE THAT CLAIMS TO BE ISLAMIC!!!!! ABSOLUTELY ZERO!!!!! There is no one who serves the FALSE allah-god who will be saved!!!!! NO NOT ONE!!!!! JESUS BE PRAISED FOREVER!!!!!

    Watchmen in Israel were appointed to sound the alarm to God’s people about impending danger (Isaiah 21:6). As God’s watchman, I see the greatest danger for America and the church is the Islamic Beast Rising while most in America and in the church are mesmerized by its propaganda and thus unwilling to say a word.

    Islam is couched as a “religion.” It is not. It is an Anti-Christ, Anti-Semitic Fascist political Beast intent on re-establishing the Byzantine caliphate that ruled one-thousand years after the collapse of Western Rome; all done by following the teachings from the Qu’ran that command Mooslims to slaughter all who won’t convert to Islam: “Fighting [which means “killing” in Arabic] is obligatory for you, though you dislike it.” [Sura 2:126]. “I shall cast terror into the hearts of the disbelievers. Cut off their heads, and cut off their limbs.” [Sura 8:12].

    This is the Islam advocated in this video to be sure!

    Yes, there is. The Old law was never intended to be kept forever. It was, rather, meant to remind the people of the consequences of sin, showing them that they could never live up to God’s standards and live by the letter of the law. As has already been pointed out above, the wages of sin is death — which is why, because of the sins of the people, a perfect, healthy and innocent animal like a lamb had to be sacrificed and die. But because of the death of the Messiah — the Lamb of God and the final sacrifice to end all sacrifice — Jesus paid those wages for us and “abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances” (Eph 2:15) and “nailed it to the cross” (Col 2:14). Under a superior New Covenant we therefore are no longer bound by the dictates of Old Covenant statutes upon which those ordinances were contained. Under the New Covenant sins are dealt with in a new way — through forgiveness and through restoration. To be forgiven and have our relationship with God restored all we have to do is believe in Christ Jesus, and Him crucified.

    Hebrews 10:1-6, 9-10, “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: ‘Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased…’ Then He said, ‘Here I am, I have come to do Your will.’ He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

    Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

    John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

    Robert, the wages of my sin, and of your sin, has been paid. Faith comes by hearing, and then believing the Word of God. Please believe in Him today, and you, too, will be saved …
