By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, PMW – “A Fatah official based in Lebanon recently explained that Yasser Arafat was involved in ‘all liberation movements in the world; in South America, in Asia, in Africa, and had a part in all these revolutions.’ The official, Fatah’s Director of Communications in Lebanon Rifat Shanaah, claimed that Arafat ‘taught them’ that Israel is ‘the racist entity, the enemy of all nations of the world’ and that ‘it bears responsibility for insecurity everywhere because Israel exists in order to create conflicts – sectarian and ethnic conflicts in the Middle East.’

This message of Israel and the Jews being a danger to humanity is not new in official PA and Fatah discourse. Earlier this year, Palestinian Media Watch documented that PA TV had two young girls recite a poem with the words: ‘Oh Sons of Zion, oh most evil among creations.’ In 2011, a PA-funded educational magazine for children published an essay written by a teenage girl that depicted Hitler heroically because he ‘killed the Jews’ because they ‘are a nation which spreads destruction all over the world.’ In January this year, PA TV broadcast a documentary explaining that European countries wanted to get rid of the Jews because ‘Europe could not bear their (the Jews’) character traits, monopolies, corruption…’ and stated that ‘later the Jews obtained the Balfour Declaration, and Europe saw it as an ideal solution to get rid of them.’

Earlier this year, Jibril Rajoub said that Israel ‘threatens the world’s peace‘:

‘The world today has begun to be convinced that we (Palestinians) are a victim and that they (Israelis) are the criminals and hangmen. Under the rays of the sun Israel has been revealed to be a foreign and threatening body that threatens the region’s independence, threatens the world’s peace and threatens the world’s values and interests.'” Read more.

Rumors Of War: Iran Launches ‘Massive’ War Drills Codenamed ‘Toward Jerusalem’

By Adam Kredo, The Washington Free Beacon – “Iranian military forces launched a series of ‘massive military drills’ across nine provinces on Wednesday following an order by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to state media reports.

The drills, codenamed ‘Towards Jerusalem,’ will continue over the coming days and throughout the rest of the year.

At least three battalions of Iran’s ‘fast reaction’ Basij Force participated in the drills, which come as Western nations and Iran try to finalize a deal aimed at halting the country’s contested nuclear program.

A lieutenant commander of one of the volunteer fighting battalions said that the drills are meant to show off Iran’s ability to confront enemies at key points across the country, according to Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency.

‘The main purpose for these war games is to retain preparedness and increase the combat capability of the forces to confront any possible move by domestic and foreign enemies,’ Hossein Karimi, lieutenant commander of the Golestan’s Neynava Corps, was quoted as saying.

Additional fighting brigades will enter the war games over the next few days and at other points throughout the year, according to Karimi.

State-run media published multiple pictures of the armed Iranian forces battling through explosions and taking enemy forces hostage.

The ‘Towards Jerusalem’ military drills began on the same day that Iran dispatched a destroyer, helicopter carrier warship, and heavy submarine to East Asian waters.

These military maneuvers also come just a day after back-to-back blasts at the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, killed 23 and wounded more than 100 others.

Iranian officials immediately blamed Israel for the attack, despite an al Qaeda-affiliated group having publicly claimed responsibility.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei threatened to crush Iran’s enemies during a Wednesday address to some 50,000 fighters.

Khamenei singled out Israel in particular, calling it a scourge on the region.” Read more.

Report: Beirut Suicide Bombings Are ‘Just The Beginning’

NOW – “The twin suicide bombings that hit close to the Iranian embassy in Beirut on Tuesday morning signal the beginning of a series of similar attacks, a Kuwaiti daily reported Thursday.

The suicide attacks were ‘just the beginning of a process of applying the Iraqi model to Lebanon,’ sources close to the Shiite group Hezbollah told Al-Rai newspaper.

The sources also expect a rise in such attacks in Lebanon ‘similar to what is happening in Iraq.’

They added that ‘similarly to Iraq as well,’ the attacks will not change the policy of the government, and will only succeed in creating a high number of casualties.

The Hezbollah sources also warned that simultaneous suicide attacks could occur in separate locations ‘to create confusion on the ground.’

They pointed out that Druze and Christian areas in Lebanon, as well as Palestinian refugee camps, have become a ‘welcoming environment’ for Takfiri groups who have crossed the border into Lebanon to take part in terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, sources close to the pro-Western March 14 coalition said in remarks published by Kuwaiti daily Al-Anbaa that its members were taking precautionary measures as they fear retaliatory attacks against them.

They added that similar measures were also taken by Arab and foreign embassies in Lebanon.

Two explosions rocked southern Beirut Tuesday morning near the Iranian embassy, killing at least 23 people and injuring 146 others.” Read more.

FNA – “A Saudi militant doctor has killed himself during a suicide attack on Syrian soldiers in Northern province of Aleppo, sources close to the Syria militants reported.

The Asia News Website reported on Tuesday that Moshari al-Anzi, a Saudi heart surgeon and one of the first people who came to fight in the more than two-and-half year bloody conflict, killed himself in a suicide attack on the Day of Ashura (November 13).

The website quoted sources close to the militants that Anzi, who picked the name Abu Samak al-Jarzawi worked in field hospitals during his presence in Syria.

According to the source, he had applied before to take part in the battles but his requests were denied because of the need for doctors.

However he managed to steel a bomb-laden car during an offensive against Syrian soldiers near Aleppo and killed himself.

He is the second Saudi doctor who has died in Syria, fighting alongside other foreign militants.

Many from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa have been influenced by Al-Qaeda and other extremist groups to enter Syria and fight to overthrow the Syrian government.” Read more.

An Obama Nation: US Air Force Drops ‘So Help Me God’ From Oaths

By Todd Starnes, Fox News – “The Air Force Academy has admitted they removed the phrase ‘so help me God’ from three oaths in the 2012 edition of their official cadet handbook, Fox News has learned.

The revelation came after more than two dozen members of Congress sent a letter to Academy Supt. Lt. Gen. Michelle Johnson demanding that she explain why the phrase was removed.

The lawmakers contend the 2012 edition of the Contrails Cadet Handbook excludes the phrase ‘so help me God’ in the Cadet’s Oath of allegiance, the Oath of Office for Officers and the Oath of Enlistment.

‘The Constitution does not require that this phrase be scrubbed from the oath,’ read the letter drafted by Rep. Jim Bridenstein (R-Okla.) and signed by 28 lawmakers. ‘The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the establishment of religion’ however, the inclusion of the phrase ‘so help me God’ in an oath of service does not rise to this level.’

Bridenstein said ‘editing the oath for all Academy students is extreme and unnecessary, and does a disservice to the countless individuals who wish to include the phrase as a solemn reminder that they are pledging their fidelity to God and country.’

Air Force Academy spokesman Maj. Brus Vidal told me the omission was a simple mistake.

‘It was an editorial oversight,’ he said. ‘We learned within the last few weeks there was a problem.’

Vidal said there was no reasoning behind the omission and there was no forethought.

‘Whoever was doing the editing didn’t catch it,’ he said.

He said next year’s edition of the Contrails Cadet Handbook will be revised and will include the phrase ‘so help me God.’

Last month, the Air Force Academy was embroiled in another controversy involving ‘so help me God’ after they decided to make it an optional part of the Honor Oath.” Read more.

Siv Kristin Sællmann, a Christian, was given the cross necklace by her husband as a Christmas gift in 2012. Coming up at 6:00 on NRK news, the Muslim community in Norway says they are offended that non-Muslims refuse to wear headscarves, veils and burkas …

Pravda – “Popular Norwegian TV presenter Siv Kristin Sællmann was suspended from her job for appearing on air with a cross on her chest. The woman’s appearance on the screen with a gold pendant, decorated with black diamonds in the shape of a Christian symbol, caused outrage among a part of viewers.

Members of the local Muslim community organized protests claiming that ‘a chain with a cross insulted Islam.’ According to them, displaying the Christian symbol did not guarantee the impartiality of the TV channel.

As a result, the director of NRK television channel was forced to hold a conversation with the newsreader, after which she was suspended from her duties not to become a source of discord and crimes.” Source – Pravda.

Malaysia: Historical Cross Torn Down And Discarded To Make Room For A Mosque

Malaysia Chronicle – “Shocking disrespect towards one of Sarawak’s most treasured historical figures has come to light, with this image of a Rajah Brooke memorial cross, plucked from its position outside the Governor’s Mansion in Kuching and dumped in a junk heap.

The white marble cross had stood in front of the Astana, as a memorial to three Brooke children, who were lost at sea.

It provided a poignant Christian symbol, with the famous phrase ‘suffer little children to come unto me’ wrapped round its simple stem.

But, now as these exclusive photographs reveal, it has been unceremoniously ripped from its position and dumped lopsidedly alongside discarded junk, as an enormous building renovation gets underway.

Naomi Hirose, president of the company that runs Fukushima, Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco), said the triple meltdown following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan was a ‘warning to the world’ and that Britain’s nuclear industry must be ‘prepared for the worst’.

Speaking to the Guardian, he said that despite what the nuclear industry and the public wanted to believe, nuclear power was not 100 per cent safe.

‘But we have to explain, no matter how small a possibility, what if this [safety] barrier is broken? We have to prepare a plan if something happens … It is easy to say this is almost perfect so we don’t have to worry about it. But we have to keep thinking: what if …’ he told the paper.

By JAMES GORDON MEEK, CINDY GALLI and BRIAN ROSS – ABC News – “Several dozen suspected terrorist bombmakers, including some believed to have targeted American troops, may have mistakenly been allowed to move to the United States as war refugees, according to FBI agents investigating the remnants of roadside bombs recovered from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The discovery in 2009 of two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky — who later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq — prompted the bureau to assign hundreds of specialists to an around-the-clock effort aimed at checking its archive of 100,000 improvised explosive devices collected in the war zones, known as IEDs, for other suspected terrorists’ fingerprints.

‘We are currently supporting dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations like that,’ FBI Agent Gregory Carl, director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), said in an ABC News interview to be broadcast tonight on ABC News’ ‘World News with Diane Sawyer’ and ‘Nightline’.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if there were many more than that,’ said House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul. ‘And these are trained terrorists in the art of bombmaking that are inside the United States; and quite frankly, from a homeland security perspective, that really concerns me.’

As a result of the Kentucky case, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, federal officials told ABC News – even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets. One Iraqi who had aided American troops was assassinated before his refugee application could be processed, because of the immigration delays, two U.S. officials said. In 2011, fewer than 10,000 Iraqis were resettled as refugees in the U.S., half the number from the year before, State Department statistics show.

An intelligence tip initially led the FBI to Waad Ramadan Alwan, 32, in 2009. The Iraqi had claimed to be a refugee who faced persecution back home — a story that shattered when the FBI found his fingerprints on a cordless phone base that U.S. soldiers dug up in a gravel pile south of Bayji, Iraq on Sept. 1, 2005. The phone base had been wired to unexploded bombs buried in a nearby road.

An ABC News investigation of the flawed U.S. refugee screening system, which was overhauled two years ago, showed that Alwan was mistakenly allowed into the U.S. and resettled in the leafy southern town of Bowling Green, Kentucky, a city of 60,000 which is home to Western Kentucky University and near the Army’s Fort Knox and Fort Campbell. Alwan and another Iraqi refugee, Mohanad Shareef Hammadi, 26, were resettled in Bowling Green even though both had been detained during the war by Iraqi authorities, according to federal prosecutors.” Read more.

Mario Joseph was born in an ordinary Muslim Indian family. His father prepared him—the third among six brothers—as a spiritual leader: thus, aged 10, Mario entered a Koranic school, and when he returned from it at the age of 18, he became an Imam-khatib in a local village Mosque.

However, the young man turned to Christ, and this choice made him a target even for his own father who, having known about his son’s conversion to another faith, threatened to kill him. Moreover, his father erected a gravestone in advance in a local Muslim cemetery with the epitaph containing the young man’s name and date of birth.

The Spanish radio station Сadena Сope managed to talk with this young Catholic preacher and learn certain facts from the history of his tremendous trials.

‘From age 18, I was an imam and regularly delivered sermons,’ begins Joseph. ‘One Friday I was fervently talking about Isa al-Masih [Jesus the Messiah], saying that He was not Allah. When I finished my speech, someone asked me: ‘But, after all, who is the Messiah?’ On that day I could not find a proper answer; my knowledge in this sphere was extremely poor’.

Again and again Mario returned to the Koran, to the Muslim Holy Tradition (the Sunna), to various commentaries of the exegetes of authority, but could not find the answer. To the contrary, he noticed instead that the only woman’s name mentioned in the Koran, was the Name of the Most Holy Mary; moreover, according to tradition Muhammad died, while Isa was taken to Heaven alive. ‘Then, after long thought, I decided to leave the dead one and to follow the Living one,’ explained the young man.

Dark News: Sun’s Flipping Poles Could Mean Lights Out For America

By F. Michael Maloof, WND – “A vulnerability test by the electric-power industry of the national electrical grid shows the system would fail during certain catastrophes – and would fail even if only some of the impacts of certain catastrophes were experienced.

That is the sobering message from a preliminary readout of the results of a vulnerability test called Grid Ex II.

It revealed that even though the test was done under circumstances that didn’t represent the full impact of what would occur in the event of a grid blackout – caused either by a cyber or electromagnetic pulse attack – the system failed.

The North American Electric Power Reliability Corporation, or NERC, led the nationwide exercise to examine just how vulnerable the nation’s electric power grid would be under a limited nationwide cyber or EMP attack.

The test, regarded by experts as presenting less of an impact than a real EMP, comes as the sun is about to ‘flip’ its own magnetic poles at the peak of its expected 11-year cycle.

The sun flips the polarity of its magnetic north and south, causing huge intergalactic geomagnetic storms which can affect the earth’s grid and communications including satellites.

The sun’s 11-year cycle started peaking a few months ago, and will continue through 2014, according to NASA scientists.

Todd Hoeksema, director of the Wilcox Solar Observatory at Stanford University, said the polarity change builds up throughout the 11-year cycle, and the sun’s magnetic field goes to zero before coming back with the opposite polarity.

It is during that time that flares sometimes are huge, and if one hit the earth directly, it could deliver a life-changing EMP blast.

‘Something big is about to happen on the sun,’ according to an August 2013 NASA statement. At the time, Hoeksema said the big event, the solar flip, was three to four months away – placing that time in a November-December 2013 time-frame.” Read more.
