BBC Promotes Lie That Israel Is Targeting Civilians In Gaza

The Algemeiner – “The BBC News website’s main article on the second day of Operation Protective Edge  – July 9th – underwent amendment numerous times (available to view here) until reaching its fourteenth and final version. Currently going under the title ‘Hamas fires rockets amid Israeli air strikes on Gaza,’ its first four versions were titled ‘Hamas fires rockets at Israeli cities after Gaza offensive’, thus misleadingly suggesting to BBC audiences that the firing of missiles by terrorists from the Gaza Strip is a response to Israeli actions, rather than the exact opposite, which is actually the case.

The first eleven versions of that article used the sub-heading ‘War crime’ – as did the previous day’s main report – in the section of the report relating to the incident on the morning of July 8th in Khan Younis in which Palestinians acting as ‘human shields’ were killed after a warning had been given to the building’s occupants to vacate the premises.

The report’s final version was not updated to include accurate figures.

“Israel said it had intercepted 15 rockets on Wednesday, including eight over Tel Aviv, Ashkelon and Ashdod.” […]

“It [the IDF] said 117 rockets had hit Israel on Tuesday, with the Iron Dome interceptor system shooting down 20. Three rockets landed around Jerusalem.” […]

“Some 48 rockets were fired at Israel on Wednesday, the military said. Iron Dome intercepted two rockets above Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning, three over Ashkelon and three over Ashdod.

The town of Hadera 100km (60 miles) north of Gaza, was also attacked, with an M-302 surface-to-surface rocket, the furthest target so far reached.”

The figures provided by the IDF are actually as follows:

Tuesday July 8: 117 missiles fired from the Gaza Strip hit Israel. A further 29 (not 20 as the BBC claims) were intercepted.

Wednesday July 9: 90 missiles (not 48 as the BBC claims) fired from the Gaza Strip hit Israel. A further 24 (not 15 as claimed by the BBC) were intercepted.

No explanation is provided to readers regarding the origins of that M-302 missile that hit Hadera and they are not informed that a shipment of such Syrian-made missiles was intercepted as recently as March of this year, nor of Iran’s role in the smuggling of such weapons to the Gaza Strip.

With regard to Palestinian casualties, this report does at least acknowledge that some are not civilians, although it does not inform readers that they are terrorists.

“Reports from Gaza said at least eight people had been killed in the latest Israeli air strikes.

Gaza officials say 35 Palestinians have now died in the recent hostilities, with 150 more injured.

The officials say half of the casualties are civilians, a number of them women and children.”

Under the sub-heading ‘No safe haven,’ the report promotes and amplifies what the BBC knows full well to be a baseless allegation from an official belonging to what it equally well knows is a politically motivated NGO.

“The head of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights in Gaza, Raji Sourani, accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians.

He told the BBC: “There is no safe haven in this place and Palestinian civilians are once again in the eye of the storm and are paying heavily. Israelis.. are trying to pressure militant groups through targeting civilians.”” [emphasis added]

Across the street raged an ugly, hate-filled pro-‘Palestinian’ rally, at which — as you can hear in the above video — demonstrators chanted, ‘Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahoud, jaish Muhammad saufa yaoud.’ That’s ‘Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.’ As I explain in my book The Truth About Muhammad, this chant refers to Muhammad’s unprovoked massacre of Jews at the Khaybar oasis in northern Arabia. When modern-day Muslims invoke Khaybar, they are doing much more than just recalling the glory days of Islam and its prophet: they are recalling an aggressive, surprise raid by Muhammad which resulted in the final eradication of the once considerable Jewish presence in Arabia. To Islamic supremacists, Khaybar means the destruction of the Jews and the seizure of their property by the Muslims.

And on Wednesday, this genocidal, anti-Semitic chant was heard right in the heart of New York City.

Invoking Emmett Till. The biggest racists on the face of the earth (the whole jihadic/sharia ideology is based on hate, racism and apartheid) invoke race into a horrible crime. You can’t make this stuff up. That horrible crime repels us, they celebrate when Jews are slaughtered.

What’s more, there is no comparison between Emmett Till and Mohammed Abu Khdeir. The brutal murder of Till did not follow the kidnapping and murder of three white boys. The murderers of Emmett Till were not properly prosecuted, and were acquitted after a sham trial. The murderers of Mohammed Abu Khdeir are going to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and imprisoned for life if found guilty. The murder of Emmett Till was widely considered justified in the racist South. The murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir has been the cause of a huge outpouring of grief and apologies from Israelis.

For the “Palestinians” to make this comparison shows how morally monstrous they really are. “Palestinians” didn’t mourn the murders of the three Jewish boys; they celebrated them. Now they claim the moral high ground. Unconscionable.

The Times of Israel – “A popular Turkish female pop singer was under pressure Friday to make a public apology after she posted a succession of anti-Semitic tweets over Israel’s deadly air campaign in Gaza

Yildiz Tilbe, who has been making folk-influenced hit albums since the 1990s, appeared to praise Hitler in the tweets and say the end of the Jews was near.

‘If God allows, it will be again Muslims who will bring the end of those Jews, it is near, near,’ she tweeted on her official account @YildizzTilbee.

‘They (Jews) are hostile to Allah and all prophets including their own prophet Moses.’

In another tweet she appeared to praise Hitler for the mass extermination of Jews in the Holocaust, writing ‘May God bless Hitler.’

The Jewish Community of Turkey condemned the singer’s tweets as ‘racist and inciting hatred,’ calling on judicial authorities to ‘immediately start necessary legal procedures’ under the country’s penal code.” Read more.

By Robyn Dixon, Los Angeles Times – “When Boko Haram invaded her village last year, the Islamist extremists burned the churches, destroyed Bibles and photographs, and forced Hamatu Juwanda to renounce Christianity.

‘They said we should never go back to church because they had brought a new religion,’ the 50-year-old said. ‘We were going to be converted to Islam.’

The head of the village, a Muslim, presented her with a thick nylon hijab to cover her head and renamed her Aisha.

She submitted, smarting with rage. Women who didn’t wear the hijab were beaten.

‘When I went to the market, I wore the veil,’ she said. ‘But at home, I took it off and prayed.’

The gunmen returned time after time to the village of Barawa, shooting people, burning houses and wearing down the resistance of the villagers.

In September, the attackers came again: 30 turbaned men with covered faces, big guns and camouflage clothing. Juwanda’s husband tried to flee but was shot in the chest and killed.

Horrors became commonplace for Juwanda: She saw a young man shot in the head as he fled along a rural track. She watched a neighboring woman weep bitterly as gunmen abducted her with her children.

‘She was crying, but they told her not to,’ Juwanda said. ‘The leader of the group told her, ‘If you cry, it’s useless. If you don’t cry, it’s useless.’’

In the last year, the government has lost control of vast swaths of the country’s northeast to Boko Haram with barely a fight. In a military-style campaign, the extremist militia has raised its black flag over villages, driven Christians from their farmland and houses, and dragged people from cars at roadblocks, killing ‘infidels.’

Boko Haram’s insurgency has killed 12,000 people and shattered the northern economy. Schools have been shut down because of attacks that have seen hundreds of schoolgirls kidnapped and schoolboys burned alive in their dormitories.” Read more.

In Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, and a number of other countries in the region, radical jihadists are literally slaughtering Christians. They are pillaging Christian villages and burning churches.

In Nigeria, the radical Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram continued their killing spree, massacring 30 Christians as they worshiped and burning down four churches this past weekend. Experts continue to reiterate that ‘Christians are one of the explicit targets of Boko Haram.’

In Iraq, ISIS terrorists are targeting Christians and destroying churches. There are stories of forced taxes, rape, kidnapping, murder, and other horrendous persecution of Christians by ISIS militants. It’s believed that since 2003, two-thirds of Iraq’s Christian population has fled. Some experts believe the number of Christians there could dwindle to as little as 50,000 in the next 10 years due to increasing persecution.

ISIS’s leader has declared a ‘caliphate,’ an Islamic state, in Iraq and Syria and has demanded the imposition of Islamic Shariah Law. Experts have described the goal and brutality of ISIS as ‘annihilating Middle Eastern Christians.’ In Syria, ISIS has actually crucified 9 people in recent days.

In Sudan, government officials destroyed a church and at least 10 Christians have been murdered in recent months. Christian mom Meriam Ibrahim, who was previously on death row for her faith, is still being prevented from leaving the country, as she faces new possible charges and a lawsuit by Islamic family members.

Pastor Saeed is still imprisoned in Iran. Hamas terrorists are bombarding Israeli civilians with more rockets (nearly 150 rockets in the last 24 hours). The examples of radical Islamic brutality in the region are as seemingly endless as they are breathtaking.

Bala is from the sharia state of Kano where islamic theocracy rules. Bala’s renunciation of muslim faith did not go down well with the family members. They thought he was out of his senses and forcefully took him to a mental hospital for treatment.

Fortunately, Bala, from his hospital bed, managed to get out some message asking for help. He drew the attention of his online friends to his predicament. His friends responded by mobilizing local and international support. Bala was eventually released from the hospital. He lives in hiding and continues to fear for his life.

Yes, Bala, we can say to some degree is free but other ex-Muslims in Nigeria, and in other parts of Africa are not. Ex-Muslims in the region live in bondage. Leaving Islam is like passing a death sentence on oneself. Ex-Muslims are invisible thanks to sharia law that rules in the minds and shapes the morals people in muslim communities.

Bala was lucky that some freethought and human rights groups got to know about his situation on time and came to his help. Other ex-Muslims are not that fortunate. They suffer and die in silence without anyone’s knowledge. Should we allow this to continue? No, we should not.

Ex-Muslims are tortured and abused with impunity. They are treated as persons without human rights. Ex-Muslims in Africa live anonymous life. They cannot openly identify themselves as ex-Muslims. They live in constant fear of their lives. Ex-Muslims are always worried that friends or family members might get to know that they have abandoned their faith in Islam-that they no longer believe in Allah-or in the prophethood of Muhammed.

Ex-Muslims do not enjoy the right to freedom of religion or belief because there is no freedom of religion under sharia. Instead what obtains in sharia states is ‘unfreedom’ of religion or rather freedom to profess one religion, and that is Islam. Muslims are compelled to profess islamic faith for life and forever. Renouncing Islam is apostasy. And apostasy is a crime punishable by death.

Also the whole idea of family and community honour is defined on the basis of Islam. So, renouncing Islam is dishonouring the family and community. And dishonouring the family is a serious offence that could lead to the killing of the person who renounces Islam. Simply, any one who renounces Islam deserves no mercy. CBS Tampa Bay – “A succinct blip of sound detected from far beyond the Milky Way Galaxy amid deep space has left scientists saying they ‘really have no handle on’ the mysterious ‘fast radio burst.’

The split-second burst of radio waves discovered through the Arecibo radio telescope has given scientists new evidence of the rare, mysterious pulses emanating from deep outer space – well beyond the ends of the galaxy. Published July 10 in The Astrophysical Journal, the ‘fast radio burst’ is the first of similar sounds to be detected by an installation other than the Parkes radio telescope in Australia.

The Arecibo Observatory is the world’s largest single-aperture telescope located in Puerto Rico. The radio telescope has been featured in numerous movies and television shows including 1995’s James Bond film ‘Goldeneye.’

‘Our result is important because it eliminates any doubt that these radio bursts are truly of cosmic origin,’ said Victoria Kaspi, an astrophysics professor at McGill University in Montreal and principal investigator for the pulsar-survey project that detected this fast radio burst. ‘The radio waves show every sign of having come from far outside our galaxy – a really exciting prospect.’

Although exact origins for the sound bursts are still an enigma for astrophysicists, proposed possibilities include evaporating black holes, merging neutron stars, or flares from extremely powerful deep-space magnetic fields.” Read more.

The Algemeiner – “Perception and reality continued to baffle Palestinian advocates on Thursday as the conflict between Israel and Gaza terrorist groups reached its third day.

Palestinians fired more than 100 rockets at major Israeli cities, including Beersheba, Rehovot, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. Israel, meanwhile, stepped up efforts to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure and leadership responsible for the attacks. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with his security cabinet late Thursday, saying the military campaign was going well and ‘more stages were expected.’

Slate reporter William Saletan, a critic of the Israeli government, nonetheless saw reality. Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas started firing rockets at Israeli cities ‘well before’ Israel started bombing targets in Gaza, he wrote.

Israel has conducted more than 500 airstrikes as part of Operation Protective Edge since then, yet the death toll stands at around 80 Palestinians. Their deaths are tragic, but ‘you’d have to conclude that either Israel is failing miserably to kill people or, more plausibly, it’s largely trying not to kill them,’ Saleton wrote. He notes that Israel directly calls occupants of targeted buildings urging them to get out, and fires warning shots in an attempt to limit civilian casualties.

Yet, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas calls Israel’s strikes, which target rocket launch sites and terrorist leadership, ‘collective genocide.’

‘The charges are false,’ Saletan writes. ‘By the standards of war, Israel’s efforts to spare civilians have been exemplary.’

For Israel’s foes, ‘exemplary’ is not a concept they can handle. National Islamist groups are condemning Israel’s strikes while staying silent about Hamas’ rocket fire. Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Los Angeles office, similarly absolves Hamas of responsibility for the violence. And, ignoring Israel’s attempts to minimize casualties, he lashed out on Twitter, with a ‘damn you’ post toward Israel and those who support ‘your filthy, criminal #Zionism.’

Hassan Shibly, Ayloush’s CAIR colleague in Tampa, similarly blasted Israel for not valuing ‘the lives of Palestinian children’ and said that Israel, ‘on an institutional level treats Palestinians worse than animals.’

Contrast that with the reality of the Hamas message this week. When it comes to the Israeli warning calls, a Hamas official went on the group’s Al Aqsa television to encourage people to stay in the buildings as human shields, the Israel Defense Forces reported, offering the video.” Read more.

New Photo Of US Army Deserter Bergdahl Shows Him Smiling In Friendly Pose With Taliban Commander

Judging from the photo below, not to mention his very own words, Bowe Bergdahl appears happier with the enemy that he ever did while serving in the US military. Susan Rice was right in saying he “served with honor and distinction” — if she meant while serving in the “Not-Our-Enemy” Taliban, that is. Don’t be surprised if the US government completely ignores this narrative-imploding photo’s existence …

FoxNews – “The Middle East Research Institute (MEMRI) has identified a photo tweeted out by the Taliban that shows Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl posing with a senior member of the Haqqani network in Afghanistan.

MEMRI, a think tank, said the Twitter account @khorasan3, which is associated with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, showed an undated photo Wednesday of an apparently happy Bergdahl posing with Taliban Commander Badruddin Haqqani.

Haqquami, who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in August 2012, was the son of Haqqani head Jalaluddin Haqqani. It was not immediately clear when the photo with Bergdaal was taken.

The Idaho native was freed by the Taliban May 31 in a deal struck by the Obama administration in which five senior Taliban officials were released from detention at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Bergdahl had disappeared from his post in Paktika province in eastern Afghanistan on June 30, 2009. Some former members of his unit have said that he left of his own accord.” Read more.

According to a Gallup poll released Friday that tracked responses for the first six months of 2014, 72 percent of Muslims said they approve of the president, compared with just 20 percent who disapprove.

Mormons were the least approving religious group, with 18 percent of Mormons approving and 78 percent disapproving of the president. Mormons in the past have ranked as the most conservative major religious group in the U.S.

Qur’an Sura 5:51, “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

According to many Muslim apologists, Sura 5:51 above is not simply referring to personal friends but also to a Muslim’s allegiance to a non-Muslim state. As the “word of Allah” itself so aptly declares, “He maketh none to share in His government” (Sura 18:26) and freedom, human rights and equality are all restricted by Islamic Law, which is absolutely incompatible with democracy. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration is driven by liberal extremism and political correctness, not by conservative values and common sense, so let’s go ahead and put those whose own religious ideology demands they view a nation like America as an enemy of Islam in positions responsible for the security of the nation. What could possibly go wrong? …

World Tribune – “The administration of President Barack Obama has been identifying Muslims in the military in an effort to encourage their presence.

Officials said the Defense Department has been keeping records and tracking Muslims. They said the administration sought to attract Muslims both to the military and to the Pentagon.

‘Our nation and our entire military family remain stronger because of the service and sacrifice of people of all faiths, including the thousands of patriotic Muslim Americans who have served and still serve in this long period of war,’ Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work said last week.

The U.S. military currently has 4,500 uniformed Muslims, the Pentagon said on July 3. It was not clear how the Pentagon identified the Muslims. The department has not given statistics on members of other religious faiths.

In 2009, a U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, shouting ‘God is great,’ opened fire and killed 13 of his colleagues. Later, authorities acknowledged that Hasan, a psychiatrist, was linked to Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.

Critics have accused the administration of promoting Islam as the preferential faith in the United States. Over the last year, a senior adviser to the Homeland Security Department, Mohamed Elibiary, issued a statement that said the U.S. Constitution was ‘Islamically compliant’ and that a Muslim caliphate was ‘inevitable.’

‘I said America was an Islamic country not a Muslim country,’ Elibiary said in a Twitter post on June 30.

On July 3, Work attended the annual Pentagon ceremony of Iftar, or the evening dinner after a day-long fast that continues throughout the Muslim month of Ramadan. The Pentagon has been conducting the ceremony since 1998 in commemoration of Islam.” Read more.
