RT – “Islamic State militants are planning to insert operatives into Western Europe disguised as refugees, claim US intelligence sources, who unencrypted locked communications of the caliphate’s leadership.

The militant organization is afraid of using aircraft due to strict security rules, so they use land as an alternative, the US sources told Bild Am Sonntag, a German national Sunday newspaper.

Disguised as refugees from Syria, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) operatives will cross the border to Turkey. Then, using fake passports, they will travel further to European countries to conduct attacks.

‘In view of the chaotic conditions on the Syria-Turkey border, it is nearly impossible to catch ISIS-terrorists in the wave of refugees,’ wrote Bild Am Sonntag.

Because hundreds of refugees cross the Syrian-Turkish border every day, the jihadists have a good chance of remaining unnoticed in the crowds.

Turkey is also used by jihadists who want to join the IS in Syria, as they don’t need a visa to get there. They go on ‘vacations’ as tourists and upon arrival have almost no trouble finding a way to cross the border.

According to one of Iraq’s foremost security experts with unique access to intelligence, at least 100,000 jihadists were fighting in the ranks of the IS in August.

There are some 15,000 foreign fighters from the IS in Syria alone, including 2,000 Westerners, a US intelligence official told AFP in September.” Read more.

It seems to me that the authorities would have been wiser if they had allowed him to leave and never return. Instead, they’re forcing this jihadist wannabe to remain in the land of infidels — and likely on the tax-payer’s dime — where he now has no other choice but to declare his “Allahu Akbars” on American soil, even if behind prison bars. But this shouldn’t be comforting. It should be concerning. By Michael Walsh, NY Daily News – “A suburban Chicago man was charged Monday with attempting to travel overseas to join the Islamic State.

Mohammed Hamzah Khan, 19, of Bolingbrook, was arrested without incident at O’Hare International Airport after being questioned by FBI agents Saturday.

The alleged wannabe terrorist left behind a three-page letter for his parents explaining his actions, according to the criminal affidavit.

‘My dear parents, there are a number of reasons I will be going to the blessed land of Shaam (another name for Syria) and leaving my home,’ the letter reads.

He allegedly wrote he feels an obligation to migrate to the region now that the Islamic State has “been established,” referring to the terrorist group’s self-declared caliphate.

Khan also raged against what he considered the decline of western societies, the affidavit said.

‘We are all witness that the western societies are getting more immoral day by day. I do not want my kids being exposed to filth like this,’ he wrote, according to the FBI.

The letter was signed ‘Your loving son, Hamza (Khan’s middle name.)'” Read more.

The Algemeiner – “A new Islamic State video released titled ‘Message of the Mujahid’ calls on Western jihadists unable to travel to territory controlled by the terrorist group to conduct attacks at home. The message also offers a pointed rebuke of British Prime Minister David Cameron and the U.S.-led bombing campaign.

‘A message to all of the brothers who cannot do Hijrah, I advise you to respond to the call of the sheik, the mujahid (Holy Warrior) Mohammed al-Adnani, to cause terror in the hearts of the kuffar (unbelievers),’ the unidentified Islamic State spokesman said. ‘You are living in the West, you can cause terror in the hearts of the kuffar, right in the center of the kuffar in the center of all that shirk (polytheism), you can cause terror right from within.

‘So unlike us, you can cause real damage right within the heart of Dar al-Kuffar (Land of Unbelief), so rise up my brothers. Rise up!’

He starts out the video mocking Cameron and the Western leaders for thinking they can defeat the Islamic State with bombs dropped from the air, chiding them that if they were ‘real men’ they would send ground troops to fight them.

‘You know that in the hearts of your men, they’re cowards,’ the spokesman says. ‘So America, you think you are a superpower, when in fact if you were a superpower, you wouldn’t need these 40 nations to come and fight us.’

‘Know that all power belongs to Allah, and Allah is with [the pious Muslims], so you could send your planes above us, but know that Allah is above your planes,’ he continued. ‘You are fighting people who love death more than you love life.'” Read more.

FBI Director James Comey

Associated Press – “An al-Qaida cell in Syria that was targeted in American military airstrikes last month could still be working on a plan to attack the United States or its allies and is ‘looking to do it very, very soon,’ the head of the FBI says.

‘Given our visibility we know they’re serious people, bent on destruction,’ FBI Director James Comey said.

The Khorasan Group, a small but battle-hardened band of al-Qaida veterans from Afghanistan and Pakistan, was the target of U.S. strikes near Aleppo, Syria.

In an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS’ ’60 Minutes,’ Comey said the militants were ‘working and, you know, may still be working on an effort to attack the United States or our allies, and looking to do it very, very soon.’

Senior U.S. officials have not said whether the group’s plots have been disrupted.

Comey said the U.S. believes there are about a dozen Americans fighting alongside extremist groups in Syria. He said if someone has fought alongside the Islamic State militant group and tries to come back to the U.S., ‘we will track them very carefully.'” Read more.

Now, in the name of the great and powerful “Allah” and his messenger of mayhem, the Taliban of Pakistan itself has, for all intents and purposes, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State as well without actually saying they’ve pledged allegiance. This Beast is growing and, as it does, Islamists all around the world are thinking to themselves, “Who can fight against it?” …

By Saud Mehsud and Maria Golovnina, Reuters – “The Pakistani Taliban declared allegiance to Islamic State on Saturday and ordered militants across the region to help the Middle Eastern jihadist group in its campaign to set up a global Islamic caliphate.

Islamic State, which controls swathes of land in Syria and Iraq, has been making inroads into South Asia, which has traditionally been dominated by local Taliban insurgencies against both the Pakistan and Afghanistan governments.

The announcement comes after a September move by al Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahri, to name former Taliban commander Asim Umar as the ’emir’ of a new South Asia branch of the network that masterminded the 2001 attacks on the United States.

Although there is little evidence of a firm alliance yet between IS and al Qaeda-linked Taliban commanders, IS activists have been spotted recently in the Pakistani city of Peshawar distributing pamphlets praising the group.

IS flags have also been seen at street rallies in Indian-administered Kashmir. The trend has been of growing concern to global powers struggling to keep up with the fast-changing nature of the international Islamist insurgency.

In a message marking the Muslim holy festival of Eid al-Adha, the Pakistani Taliban said they fully supported IS goals.

‘Oh our brothers, we are proud of you in your victories. We are with you in your happiness and your sorrow,’ Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said in a statement sent to Reuters by email from an unknown location.

‘In these troubled days, we call for your patience and stability, especially now that all your enemies are united against you. Please put all your rivalries behind you …

‘All Muslims in the world have great expectations of you … We are with you, we will provide you with Mujahideen (fighters) and with every possible support.'” Read more.

YUMURTALIK Turkey (Reuters) – Khaled Baki phones the number of a fellow Kurdish fighter and gets through to the Islamic State militants who say they beheaded her.

Baki’s friend, one of the Kurdish forces’ many female soldiers, disappeared as she fought to try and stop the Islamist militants’ push on Kobani, a predominantly Kurdish settlement in northern Syria close to the Turkish border.

More than 180,000 people have fled ahead of Islamic State’s advance, alarmed by accounts of the jihadists’ ruthless tactics – reports that have been fuelled by taunting phone messages from the militants themselves describing gruesome deaths meted out to Kurdish comrades and loved ones.

“We call her, someone else answers and says, ‘We cut off your friend’s head. Now we’re coming for your head,’” Baki said at Yumurtalik, just over the border from Kobani in Turkey.

“She was just 21 years old, and they cut off her head,” added Baki, a builder before he became a fighter. On Friday he called the Islamists back and spat insults down the line.

The Islamist fighters have pressed on in the face of U.S. air strikes on their positions. Kurdish fighters warned on Friday they now faced a massacre as the insurgents encircled Kobani with tanks and bombarded its outskirts with artillery fire.

Other Kurdish fighters have had calls from IS fighters vowing to take the town within days, using the mobile connections as a kind of psychological warfare. One said he was told: “We will be praying in your mosques by Eid,” an Islamic festival which starts on Saturday….

Before he is killed, a gaunt and tired looking Mr Henning gives a short forced speech in which he blames his execution on Parliament’s decision to launch strikes against Islamic State in Iraq.

Mr Henning, a 47-year-old father-of-two, was kidnapped on Boxing Day last year as he delivered aid to Syrian refugees.

The clip, which is in English with Arabic subtitles, shows Jihadi John stepping forward to cut Mr Henning’s throat before the screen turns black, then shows his body lying on the desert floor.

Before he is killed, Mr Henning says: ‘I am Alan Henning. Because of our parliament’s decision to attack the Islamic state I as a member of the British public will now pay the price for that decision.’

In a thick London accent, the fighter adds: ‘The blood of David Haines was on your hands Cameron, Alan Henning will also be slaughtered but his blood is on the hands of the British parliament.’

In the footage, Mr Henning appears visibly thinner than in previous pictures, and has large dark rims underneath his eyes.

After Mr Henning is killed, the black-clad militant reappears with Peter Kassig, who is shown kneeling in the same position as Mr Henning with a caption showing his name.

Jihadi John then adds: ‘Obama you have started your aerial bombardment in Sham (Syria) which keeps on striking our people, so it’s only right we continue to strike the necks of your people.'” Read more.
