Nigeria: Islamic State Issues Warning Christians – Covert To Islam Or Be Killed – “The Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP), has warned residents of Adamawa State, especially in Christian dominated communities to either convert to Islam or be killed. The warning came after the ISIS-affiliated group claimed responsibility for attacks on a Christian village and churches where over 14 people were killed on December 31, 2025. Numerous homes and businesses were vandalized or burned in the attacks by the terrorists who struck the villages of Zah, Mubang Yadul, and Kijing, all in Hong Local Government Area of the state… they issued the warning shortly after they carried out the carnage. ‘ISWAP released an image of one of the Christian villages in Adamawa State burning, alongside a statement saying that all Christians in Nigeria are legitimate targets …'” Read more.

Nigeria: Terrorists Murder And Abduct Dozens During Attacks In Niger State – “The death toll from an armed attack on a market in Nigeria’s Niger state has risen to 50, local reports said Sunday. Members of an armed gang stormed the Kasuwan Daji market in Demo village on Saturday, opening fire indiscriminately on residents, abducting many people and looting food supplies. A mass funeral was held for the victims while the wounded were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. President Bola Tinubu condemned the attack and ordered security forces to apprehend the perpetrators. ‘They are testing the resolve of our nation and must face the full consequences of their criminal actions,’ he said. Tinubu also instructed authorities to immediately rescue all individuals abducted during the assault. Niger state has witnessed repeated terrorist attacks in recent weeks, particularly in rural communities vulnerable to armed groups operating from forested areas.” Read more.

Sudan: More Than 50% Of Children Screened Are Malnourished Across Darfur – “The United Nations children’s agency (UNICEF) has warned of an ‘unprecedented level’ of child malnutrition in the war-torn region of North Darfur and called for immediate access to children and families trapped by the conflict. The warning on Monday came amid intensified fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), as the paramilitary force continues to push east after seizing the city of el-Fasher in Darfur in late October. The conflict, which erupted in 2023, has killed tens of thousands, displaced more than 12 million people and triggered famine in several parts of Sudan… said some 53 percent of 500 children it screened in the Um Baru locality in North Darfur earlier this month were acutely malnourished. It said one in six were also suffering from ‘severe acute malnutrition’, a life-threatening condition that it said could kill a child within weeks if left untreated…” Read more.

Nigeria: Suicide Bomber Kills Infidel Co-Religionists During Mosque Prayers – “A bomb exploded during prayers at a mosque in Nigeria’s northeastern city of Maiduguri on Wednesday night, killing five people in what police described as a likely suicide attack. Police said that 35 people were also injured in the attack. Nahum Daso, spokesperson for police command in the surrounding state of Borno, said in a statement that fragments of a suspected suicide vest were found at the site. The bombing is the latest in a series of attacks in Nigeria’s troubled northern region, where the country is battling multiple armed groups, including Boko Haram and its splinter group, Islamic State West Africa Province. Several thousand people have been killed, with millions displaced from their homes… the use of suicide bombers has been heavily attributed to Boko Haram, the Islamic militant group that has previously claimed responsibility for many such attacks …” Read more.

Sudan: Islamist Forces Target Christian Procession With Drone Strike – “A Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) drone strike on Dec. 25 killed at least 11 Christians on their way to Christmas celebrations in South Kordofan state… At least 18 other people were seriously wounded in the attack on congregation members making their way to the Episcopal Church of Sudan in Julud (Biyam Jald area) on Christmas morning, said an area Christian attorney. ‘The church [building] was not hit, but a congregation who were marching in procession towards the church were targeted’ … Sudan registered increases in the number of Christians killed and sexually assaulted and Christian homes and businesses attacked… ‘Christians of all backgrounds are trapped in the chaos, unable to flee. Churches are shelled, looted and occupied by the warring parties,’ the report stated. Both the RSF and the SAF are Islamist forces that have attacked displaced Christians on accusations of supporting the other’s combatants.” Read more.

Kenyan Islamist Plotting 9/11-Style Terror Attack Sentenced To Two Consecutive Life Terms – “A Kenyan man who federal prosecutors say researched Delta flights and Atlanta’s tallest skyscraper as part of a 9/11-style terror plot has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison… of conspiring to support the terrorist group al-Shabaab and plotting to hijack a commercial aircraft and crash it into a building in the United States. Court records show Abdullah specifically researched flights linked to Atlanta and focused on the Bank of America Plaza, a 55-story downtown tower, during his attack planning. Federal authorities said Abdullah was training to become a commercial airline pilot so he could carry out a mass-casualty attack on U.S. soil. According to court documents and trial evidence, Abdullah joined al-Shabaab in 2015 and spent about a year in Somalia receiving military-style training, including firearms and explosives instruction. With wars in Ukraine, Gaza and Sudan attracting more attention and foreign aid falling, the grinding conflict in Mozambique has been largely ignored or forgotten.
