By Todd Starnes, Fox News – “Soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood say they were told that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the nation and that any soldier donating to those groups would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

A soldier who attended the Oct. 17th briefing told me the counter-intelligence agent in charge of the meeting spent nearly a half hour discussing how evangelical Christians and groups like the American Family Association were ‘tearing the country apart.’

Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, is advising the soldier and has launched an investigation into the incident.

‘The American public should be outraged that the U.S. Army is teaching our troops that evangelical Christians and Tea Party members are enemies of America, and that they can be punished for supporting or participating in those groups,’ said Berry, a former Marine Corps JAG officer.

‘These statements about evangelicals being domestic enemies are a serious charge.’

The soldier told me he fears reprisals and asked not to be identified. He said there was a blanket statement that donating to any groups that were considered a threat to the military and government was punishable under military regulations.

‘My first concern was if I was going to be in trouble going to church,’ the evangelical Christian soldier told me. ‘Can I tithe? Can I donate to Christian charities? What if I donate to a politician who is a part of the Tea Party movement?’

Another soldier who attended the briefing alerted the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. That individual’s recollections of the briefing matched the soldier who reached out to me.

‘I was very shocked and couldn’t believe what I was hearing,’ the soldier said. ‘I felt like my religious liberties, that I risk my life and sacrifice time away from family to fight for, were being taken away.'” Read more.

Palestinian Youth Magazine Publishes List Of ‘Sharp-Witted’ And ‘Wise’ Sayings It Claims Are Hitler’s

To bestow a pinch of sanity to their insane Nazi hero  …

By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, PMW – “The PA-associated educational youth magazine Zayzafuna, whose Advisory Board include PA Deputy Minister of Education Jihad Zakarneh and the Head of the Media Department of the PA Ministry of Education, Abd Al-Hakim Abu Jamous, published a list of ten short wisdom sayings that it claimed were said by Hitler. The youth magazine gave no introduction or comment on the list other than the title ‘Among Hitler’s sayings.’

Some of the sayings attributed to Hitler included:

  • ‘If you were stabbed in the back, know that you are in front’
  • ‘When the defeated smiles, he denies the winner the pleasure of victory’
  • ‘Don’t challenge a man who has nothing to lose’
  • ‘Don’t find fault in your wife’s taste for she chose you in the first place’

Palestinian Media Watch has not found the quotes attributed to Hitler. Several of them appear with slight variations on ‘words of wisdom’ websites, and are either anonymous sayings or attributed to other people. For example, ‘Don’t argue with a fool because people won’t be able to tell you apart’ has been attributed to Mark Twain; ‘We are all like the moon – we have a dark side’ has been attributed to Lebanese writer Khalil Gibran.

The purpose of attributing these ‘sayings’ to Hitler, it seems, is to present Hitler as a sharp-witted and wise person.

This is not the first time that the PA-associated youth magazine has presented Hitler in a positive light. In 2011, PMW exposed an essay in Zayzafuna that glorified Hitler and portrayed him as a role model. By Ben Chapman, Erin Durkin and Jennifer Fermino, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – “No matter who is elected mayor next month, city kids will likely find two new vacation days on the school calendar: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, the holiest days of the Muslim year.

Both Democrat Bill de Blasio and Republican Joe Lhota say schools should close on the two holidays, just as they do for major Jewish and Christian days.

It’s a matter of ‘respect’ for a religion practiced by an estimated 13 percent of city school kids, de Blasio said Wednesday at a campaign rally with Muslim groups in Brooklyn.

‘The origins of this nation (are) people of many different faiths coming together … That’s why we have to respect Muslim faiths by providing the Eid school holidays for children in our school system,’ de Blasio said.

The two holidays fall at different times during the year but often land on school days, including in 2006 when they coincided with a state-wide test.

‘A child who has an exam on a day that right now is one of the Eid holidays, they’re either respecting their religious obligation or they’re doing what their education requires of them,’ de Blasio said. ‘They can’t do both under our current system.’

Lhota said he’s been calling for to close schools on the two days throughout his campaign. ‘We have a growing Muslim community in the city of New York and their religion needs to be respected as all other religions are respected,’ he said Wednesday.” Read more.

Obama Praises Islam For Setting ‘Powerful Example’ On How To Work Together And Address Common Challenges

President Obama lauds Islam for setting a “powerful example” but failed to provide any real ones himself. The truth of the matter is that Islam has done little but keep the Muslim world spiritually desolate in an 8th century Arabian culture while seeking to terrorize and subdue all others. From India Today:

US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle today greeted Muslims across the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, lauding their faith for setting a ‘powerful example’ on how to work together to address common challenges.

‘As our Muslim neighbours and friends gather for Eid celebrations, Muslim Americans are among the more than three million pilgrims joining one of the world’s largest and most diverse gatherings, which serves as a reminder of the shared roots of the world’s Abrahamic faiths,’ Obama said in a statement.

Contrary to the claim of Muslim apologists like Barack Hussein Obama, Islam has never been and will never be an “Abrahamic faith.” There is only one faith of Abraham, and it is belief in YHWH and His Promise — Jesus Christ who was crucified — the very thing that Islam completely denies …

Galatians 1b-8a, 14, 16, “Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified… Abraham ‘believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.’ Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham … He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit… The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He said that Muslims around the world who are joining in offering their assistance to those suffering from hunger, disease and conflict to commemorate Eid, is a powerful example of the positive role that faith can play in motivating communities to work together to address shared challenges.

“Shared challenges” that Islam itself is often responsible for. The Islamic world is ravaged by war, by deprivation, by desert and famine and starvation and pestilences, conditions that are true both physically and spiritually, both literally and figuratively. Because of “Sharia lawlessness” the “Religion of Peace” is typified by widespread destruction and disparity, and any number of recent headlines bear this out all too well. In Sudan, for example, slavery is explicitly permitted and tens of thousands of Christians are held in bondage, taken as slaves and face starvation because of Sharia laws instituted by an Islamist government. In Mali, 4.6 million people are threatened with starvation following Islamist advances in the north. In Somalia, Islamists deprive 1.3 million people of food, clean water and health care after banning humanitarian aid. In Chad, children starve to death as Islamic “doctors” with “healing gifts from Allah” throw common sense to the wind. Islamists are killing aid workers in Pakistan for trying to save lives with “un-Islamic” polio vaccines. Nigeria faces famine because most of the farmers in the north are threatened by Islamist attacks seeking to impose Sharia Law upon all. As Islamists engage in an all-out war to oust Bashar Al-Assad and implement an Islamist state in Syria, a flesh-eating parasite dubbed the “Aleppo Boil” sweeps across the country while famine grips a desperate, war-weary population. As divided as these nations already are, if they are also split geographically it’ll be because of the same reason they’ve been unable to develop themselves into modern, democratic and free societies to begin with. Khouri, The Daily Star (Lebanon) – “An article and map in The New York Times’ Sunday edition two weeks ago examined the possibility that current upheavals may cause some Arab states to break up into smaller units. Written by the veteran foreign correspondent Robin Wright, the article created lively discussion among Middle East-focused circles in the United States, and in the Middle East it sparked wild speculation that it evidenced a new plan by Western powers, Israelis and others of evil intent to further partition large Arab countries into many smaller, weaker ones. The title of the article, ‘How 5 Countries Could Become 14,’ naturally fed such speculation, as did the immediate linkage in millions of Arab minds of how British and French colonial officials in 1916-1918 partitioned the former Ottoman lands of the Levant into a series of new countries called Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel, while their colonial handiwork had also created new entities that ultimately became independent countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and others.

Wright’s article explored the possibility that Libya could fracture into three units, Iraq and Syria into five units (of Druze, Kurds, Alawites, Sunnis and Shiites), Saudi Arabia into five units, and Yemen into two units. Syria might trigger such fragmentation across the region in stressed multisectarian societies. She did not advocate this, but only speculated whether sectarian stresses and conflicts might reconfigure countries that were not designed by the will of their own people.

Most critics of the article and map were horrified by the possibility that foreign powers may once again be at work redrawing the map of the Middle East, reaffirming two of the greatest lived traumas that have long plagued the Arab world: the ability and willingness of external powers to meddle deeply and structurally in our domestic condition, and the total inability of vulnerable, helpless Arab societies to do anything about this.

I understand the harsh reactions by Arabs who fear another possible redrawing of our map by foreign hands, but I fear that this is not really the bad news of the day; the really bad news is the state of existing Arab countries, and how most of them have done such a terrible job of managing the societies that they inherited after 1920.

The horror map is not the one published in the NYT two weeks ago; it is the existing map and condition of the Arab countries that have spent nearly a century developing themselves and have so little to show for it.

Not a single credible Arab democracy. Not a single Arab land where the consent of the governed actually matters. Not a single Arab society where individual men and women are allowed to use all their God-given human faculties of creativity, ingenuity, individuality, debate, free expression, autonomous analysis and full productivity. By Todd Starnes, Fox News – “Several dozen U.S. Army active duty and reserve troops were told last week that the American Family Association, a well-respected Christian ministry, should be classified as a domestic hate group because the group advocates for traditional family values.

The briefing was held at Camp Shelby in Mississippi and listed the AFA alongside domestic hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis, the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam.

A soldier who attended the briefing contacted me and sent me a photograph of a slide show presentation that listed AFA as a domestic hate group. Under the AFA headline is a photograph of Westboro Baptist Church preacher Fred Phelps holding a sign reading ‘No special law for f***.’

American Family Association has absolutely no affiliation with the controversial church group known for picketing the funerals of American servicemembers.

‘I had to show Americans what our soldiers are now being taught,’ said the soldier who asked not to be identified. ‘I couldn’t just let this one pass.’

The soldier said a chaplain interrupted the briefing and challenged the instructor’s assertion that AFA is a hate group.

‘The instructor said AFA could be considered a hate group because they don’t like gays,’ the soldier told me. ‘The slide was talking about how AFA refers to gays as sinners and heathens and derogatory terms.’

The soldier, who is an evangelical Christian, said the chaplain defended the Christian ministry.

‘He kept asking the instructor, ‘Are you sure about that, son? Are you sure about that?’’ he said, recalling the back and forth.

Later in the briefing, the soldiers were reportedly told that they could face punishment for participating in organizations that are considered hate groups.” Read more.

Someone with a Muslim-sounding name then filed a criminal complaint about him. The result: a 1200 euro fine for ‘insulting faiths’.

However, he has appealed the decision and is attempting to invoke the defence of truth. As he makes the case in written form:

If the court is actually interested in finding out the truth, it would have to come to the conclusion that Islam operates exactly like a cancer: just as healthy cells are gradually and systematically replaced by mutated cells, so healthy people, communities, cities, countries and continents are gradually decomposed into converts, mosques, Islamic parallel societies, Koran schools, religious monitors, sharia courts and jihadist terror groups, until the entire body is cancer-ridden and dies, until the whole of humanity is islamised and vegetates into a religious-fascist state.

Pay particularly close attention to how the Muslim “scholar” in the video below berates Jews as “culturally evil” by falsely accusing them of doing the very thing that he and other Islamists like him are guilty of on a daily basis …

Kuwaiti scholar Muhanna Hamad Al-Muhanna, Al-Rai TV (Kuwait), 9/30/2013: “First of all, as a Muslim, I believe that (the Jews) are evil. It is not that evil is in their genes, but that their cultural education is based upon the Talmud, which derides the goyim, or ‘the others.’ For them, even God is racist. Yahweh is the god of the Israelites alone. The word Elohim is barely mentioned, and Yahweh belongs to the Jews alone. Racism became part and parcel of this religion, or this people. The Jews became a separate people with its own religion… What is remarkable is that, secular or not, the Jews are racist…”

Mr. Al-Muhanna must have forgotten to actually study the Old Testament. In Jeremiah 32:27a Yahweh says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh ….” The Hebrew word for “flesh” is “basar” (H1320) meaning “all people” or “all mankind” and from the very beginning demonstrates His unconditional love for humanity by including all nations in His plan of salvation (Gen 12:1-3; Ephs 3:5-6; Rom 5:8) regardless of race (John 3:16). Setting Israel apart as a beacon of light to the nations (Isa 42:6) in no way makes the God of Israel a “racist” God, evidenced by the insistence of Old Testament law that once a foreigner attained legal immigrant status in Israel they were to be treated like a native born Hebrew (cf. Ex 14:49; Lev 18:26), enjoying legal protection, social benefits and religious inclusion, hardly something that one would expect from a God who was “racist.” In the teachings of Islam, however, “Allah” does not love those who do wrong (Sura 3:57). “Allah” does not love those who waste food or drink (Sura 7:31). “Allah” does not love non-Muslims (Sura 2:276) and, in fact, considers all of them “vile animals” (Sura 8:55), among other things. It is quite apparent that the god if Islam is only the god of Muslims whose love is completely conditional. And we haven’t even begun to discuss the prevalent sexism in Islam or the fact that “Allah” prefers the Arab race over others according to the Hadith …

‘Duck Dynasty’ Dad: Show Editors Cut Out Praying ‘In Jesus Name’ To Avoid Offending Muslims

Heaven forbid if non-Muslims in a non-Muslim country dare say or do anything that could potentially offend the perpetually offended. As Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer correctly points out, “this is yet another reinforcement of the idea that terrorism works, and jihadist intimidation and thuggery work: cowards start falling into line even without any explicit threat” …

CBS Houston – “Popular A&E reality show ‘Duck Dynasty’ continues to smash competition in the ratings on Wednesday nights, but one star has spoken out about how the show is portrayed.

In an interview with Sports Spectrum TV earlier this year that’s only recently gone viral, Phil Robertson admitted that fake bleeps were inserted into the show even though there was no cursing happening.

‘The inserted fake bleeps … like somebody had used profanity, but no one had used profanity,’ Robertson said. ‘I ask those guys that produce the show … ‘What’s the point of the fake bleeps?’’

Robertson admitted that there are up to 20 editors who are ‘arranging the scenes’ on the show so they might think that’s where cursing likely happened.

‘Of course these people probably thought that there was some profanity going on which there was zero,’ Robertson stated. ‘If we’re not using profanity, why make it look like we’re using profanity? What is the point? Why don’t you just run it and say what we say?’

Robertson also said that the name Jesus has been cut out during the family’s prayer scene at the end of the show.

‘So they would just have me saying, ‘Thank you Lord for the food, thank you for loving us. Amen.’ So I said, ‘Why would you cut out ‘In Jesus’ name?’ They said, ‘Well those editors are probably doing that. They just think that they don’t want to offend some of the Muslims or something.’’

Robertson said that since that conversation the show has been leaving ‘Jesus’ in the show.” Read more.

By Raymond Ibrahim, American Thinker – “Rereading some early history books concerning the centuries-long jihad on Europe, it recently occurred to me how ignorant the modern West is of its own past. The historical narrative being disseminated today bears very little resemblance to reality.

Consider some facts for a moment:

A mere decade after the birth of Islam in the 7th century, the jihad burst out of Arabia. Leaving aside all the thousands of miles of ancient lands and civilizations that were permanently conquered, today casually called the ‘Islamic world’ — including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and parts of India and China — much of Europe was also, at one time or another, conquered by the sword of Islam.

Among other nations and territories that were attacked and/or came under Muslim domination are (to give them their modern names in no particular order): Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Sicily, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, Albania, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia, Crete, Cyprus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Belarus, Malta, Sardinia, Moldova, Slovakia, and Montenegro.

In 846 Rome was sacked and the Vatican defiled by Muslim Arab raiders; some 700 years later, in 1453, Christendom’s other great basilica, Constantinople’s Holy Wisdom (or Hagia Sophia) was conquered by Muslim Turks, permanently.

The few European regions that escaped direct Islamic occupation due to their northwest remoteness include Great Britain, Scandinavia, and Germany. That, of course, does not mean that they were not attacked by Islam. Indeed, in the furthest northwest of Europe, in Iceland, Christians used to pray that God save them from the ‘terror of the Turk.’ These fears were not unfounded since as late as 1627 Muslim corsairs raided the Christian island, seizing four hundred captives and selling them in the slave markets of Algiers.Nor did America escape. A few years after the formation of the United States, in 1800, American trading ships in the Mediterranean were plundered and their sailors enslaved by Muslim corsairs. The ambassador of Tripoli explained to Thomas Jefferson that it was a Muslim’s ‘right and duty to make war upon them [non-Muslims] wherever they could be found, and to enslave as many as they could take as prisoners.’In short, for roughly one millennium — punctuated by a Crusader-rebuttal that the modern West is obsessed with demonizing — Islam daily posed an existential threat to Christian Europe and by extension Western civilization.

And therein lies the rub: Today, whether as taught in high school or graduate school, whether as portrayed by Hollywood or the news media, the predominant historic narrative is that Muslims are the historic ‘victims’ of ‘intolerant’ Western Christians. RT – “The UK’s official religion is dwindling at a record speed, with the decline of the Church ‘approaching rock bottom,’ experts warn. While Christian congregations age, most British mosques are bringing more and more young people on board.

Public mosque services attract thousands of British Muslims, but when you check out a church, there are hardly a dozen participants at Sunday morning worship, RT’s Polly Boiko reports from London.

‘The decline of churches in the UK is long term, now it just happens to be approaching rock bottom. So 95 percent of people don’t attend church on an average Sunday. Christian worship is already the concern of a tiny minority of people,’ Andrew Copson, chief executive of the British Humanist Association, told RT.

‘I think over time even the weak cultural identity that still seems to be associated with Christianity will banish away, probably all over Europe, not just in the UK,’ Copson added.

The British Muslim population has surged dramatically over the past 15 years, increasing by 75 percent. According to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics, Muslims have the youngest age profile of the religious groups, with 48 percent (1.3 million) aged under 25.

Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari, Honorary Chairman of one of the largest mosques in the UK, the East London Mosque, believes that’s because Islam’s family values are ‘really bonded, and families really try to nurture young people in the folds of Islam.’

He told RT that the Mosque he goes to, founded in 1910 and accommodating 7,000 worshippers for congregational prayers, has a congregation over 50 percent young people, who feel ‘part of the Mosque establishment’ these days.” Read more.
