Afghan Senators Want ‘Friendship’ Axed From ‘Friendship And Cooperation Treaty’ Signed With France

10/02/2012 1 comment

In 2001, Afghanistan was lead by hardline Muslim extremists. They hated the West. In 2012, Afghanistan is lead by hardline Muslim extremists. They hate the West. I’d hate to imagine what Afghanistan would look like today if we all hadn’t spent billions and lost thousands of lives liberating it …

Qur’an Sura 5:51, “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

AFP – “KABUL — Afghanistan’s senate voted to cut the word ‘friendship’ from a pact with France because Islamic texts say it cannot be used to describe relations between Muslims and infidels, senators said Tuesday.

France, which has seen 88 of its troops killed as part of the NATO coalition backing the Afghan government against Taliban insurgents, signed the 20-year ‘friendship and cooperation treaty’ earlier this year.

‘Some senators said that based on Sharia rulings we cannot use the word friendship with infidels, so after voting the word friendship was replaced with relationship,’ Senator Zahra Sharifi told AFP.

The move, which amounts simply to a recommendation as the senate has the power only to approve or reject the document, not to amend it, apparently embarrassed some senators.

‘We argued, we said that France has been a close friend of Afghanistan for a very long time,’ said Mohammad Alam Ezedyar, who chaired the senate session.

‘Some senators disagreed, but the important thing is that the pact was approved, and will be sent to the foreign ministry.'” Read more.

Taliban Openly Supported by Clerics in Afghanistan – “Mawlawi Ataullah Faizani took time out from teaching Islamic studies at a girls’ school in Kabul to explain why Afghans have a duty to resist the occupation of their country. He quoted sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, spoke of foreign troops humiliating civilians, and ridiculed the corruption that runs through the heart of the government. ‘This anarchy has been created by the West,’ he told GlobalPost. ‘The West is never happy to let Muslims be united.’ Faizani’s views are common among members of the powerful religious establishment here. Clerics and scholars now openly sympathize with the Taliban …” Read more.

Flashback: Afghan President Hamid Karzai: If America and Pakistan Go To War, Afghanistan Will Back Pakistan – “Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case of military conflict between Pakistan and the United States, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel broadcast on Saturday… ‘God forbid, If ever there is a war between Pakistan and America, Afghanistan will side with Pakistan,’ he said in the interview to Geo television. ‘If Pakistan is attacked and if the people of Pakistan needs Afghanistan’s help, Afghanistan will be there with you.’” Read more.

Too Radical For Four More Years: Obama Still Wants To ‘Fundamentally Transform America’

10/02/2012 3 comments

By David Horowitz, The Washington Times – “An American compound in Libya is invaded by al Qaeda terrorists and an American ambassador is purportedly tortured before being killed. Muslim mobs attack American embassies in 27 countries chanting, ‘Death to America.’ The White House response? A statement blaming the outrages on a filmmaker in the United States, along with apologies to the Muslim world.

The American economy languishes with millions unemployed in the worst times since the Great Depression. Yet the president spends his first years in the White House focusing on a plan to create a trillion-dollar socialized health care system opposed by a majority of Americans. Then he campaigns for re-election on a platform blaming rich Americans for the economic woes.

What’s going on here?

The answer lies in a famous statement the president made on the eve of his election, when he told a crowd of cheering supporters: ‘We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.’ These are not the words of a traditional, pragmatic-minded American politician. A practical politician attempts to address problems and fix them, not to fundamentally transform an entire nation. Transforming nations is what radicals aspire to do. But Mr. Obama’s actions in the past four years — beginning with putting Obamacare in front of the economic crisis — are nothing if not radical.

Radicals are sometimes referred to as ‘liberals in a hurry.’ They share goals but not means. Both Mr. Obama and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, expressed early sympathy for the Occupy Wall Street movement, whose rage at the American social order quickly turned violent and destructive.

But while Mr. Obama and Mrs. Pelosi may pursue their agendas through the traditional process of democratic government, ends still determine means. The radical nature of the goals they pursue does have consequences, the first of which is to Read more…

Luke 21:9-11,25, “When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away… Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven… There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea…”

Egypt: President Morsi Adviser Describes Israel As ‘Occupied Arab Palestine’, Says Peace Treaty Change Is ‘Top National Priority’

10/01/2012 1 comment

By Elhanan Miller, The Times of Israel – “An adviser to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Sunday said ‘removing the constraints of the Camp David [Peace] Accords’ with Israel is a top national priority, and referred to Israel as ‘occupied Arab Palestine.’

In an interview with Egyptian daily Al-Youm A-Sabi’, Mohammed Saif Al-Dawla, an Arab nationalist and Morsi’s adviser for Arab affairs, said that the Mubarak regime provided Israel with ‘free services’ which will not continue under the new regime.

‘There is land on Egypt’s eastern border called occupied Arab Palestine,’ said Saif Al-Dawla in response to a question on Egypt’s future relations with Israel. ‘This will remain its name till the end of time, and this is a national principle as well as a historic truth.’

Saif Al-Dawla said that in the Camp David peace accords signed with Israel in 1979, Israel’s national security was given precedence over Egypt’s; noting that 150 kilometers of Sinai territory must remain clear of Egyptian military forces under the terms of the treaty, whereas Israel is only obligated to a 3-kilometer demilitarized strip. He added that the Camp David peace accords implicitly overpower the joint Arab defense treaty.” Read more.

Ahmed Subei told Al-Alam Iranian TV that Egypt should reexamine ‘everything to do with… sovereignty over its land,’ and claimed that increased instances of hepatitis, cancer and kidney infections in his country were are all results of the Camp David accords.” Read more.

Flashback: ‘Egypt Will Never Be the Friend, Partner or Ally of the Zionist Entity, The First Enemy of Egypt’ – “It’s amazing what ‘freedom’ has brought to Egypt. Rejecting $1 billion in US aid would almost be laughable, if the possible implications were not so serious. Last month the Muslim Brotherhood had apparently come to the conclusion that it was Halal to extort the United States by threatening, for all intents and purposes, to wage war against Israel if America cut off aid to Egypt. Now they’re threatening to reject it all together, and all this while making it loud and clear that Egypt will ‘never be the friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity’ …” Read more.

Early American Awareness of Islamic Terrorism

10/01/2012 2 comments

By Yoram Ettinger, The Ettinger Report – “The American founding fathers and early scholars – since the 18th century – were aware of deeply-rooted Islamic violence, terrorism, intolerance and hatred toward other Muslims, as well as non-Muslims.

Early American leaders and thinkers were endowed with deep appreciation and unique knowledge of global history, international relations, ancient cultures, ideologies and religions.  They spoke and wrote candidly about global threats, including the Islamic threat.

In 1830, New York University Prof. George Bush, the great-granduncle of G.H.W. Bush, considered one of the most profound American scholars of the mid-19th century, published The Life of Mohammed.  He was not concerned about political correctness, was low on delusion and top heavy on realism.  His 1830 reference to the Islamic threat was consistent with the 2012 state of intra-Muslim atrocities, hate-education, tyranny, anti-US stormy Arab winter, intolerance of criticism, global Islamic terrorism in general and suicide bombing in particular.

According to Prof. Bush,  ‘[Mohammed] promised robes of silks, marble palaces, groves and fountains and beautiful virgins to those who fought for the faith…offering his enemies the alternative; the Koran or the sword…. It was inflamed by zeal for a religion which assured the soldier of victory now and paradise hereafter. The permanence of this religion is now apparently secured by education…in regions where freedom of thought is unknown (p. 155-6)….

‘O prophet of God, I will beat out the teeth, pull out the eyes, rip open the bellies and cut off the legs of all who shall dare to oppose thee (pp. 36-37)…. [Muhammed] was cruel on principle. He did deliberately what other men do from impulse…. The ambition which tramples on the right of men to think or to live is the greatest of human crimes…. The sword is the key of heaven and hell. A drop of blood shed in the cause of God is of more avail than two months of fast and prayers.  Whosoever falls in the battle his sins are forgiven… and the loss of his limbs shall be replaced by the wing of angels (103-4)…. Hatred of Christians and Jews is rooted in their hearts from childhood (p. 137)….

John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist church (1703-1791) preferred clarity over ambiguity when describing Islam: ‘Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it… have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws…. Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind’.

‘Sharia Medicine’: Egyptian Clinic Treats People … With Camel Urine

10/01/2012 7 comments

By Raymond Ibrahim – “A recent Egyptian TV program showed how Islamic Sharia law’s many prescriptions do not merely clash with modern-day concepts like free speech and religious freedom, but even with medicine and science.

On September 16, popular TV persona Wael El-Ibrashi hosted Dr. Zaghlul al-Naggar, a prominent Islamic thinker and Chairman of Egypt’s Committee of Scientific Notions in the Quran, on the topic of medical science and Islam. Inevitably the idea of drinking camel urine as a form of therapy—first proposed in the 7th century by Muslim prophet Muhammad—came up.

Not only did Dr. Naggar promote this practice, but he made the staggering announcement that right now in Egypt a medical center in Marsa Matrouh actually specializes in treating people with camel urine, all in accord with the prophet’s advice.

Other Egyptian thinkers joined the show via satellite, including Khaled Montaser (who earlier exposed the Islamic world’s ‘inferiority complex’). At one point, while delineating how science and medicine work, Montaser reminded that urine is where all the body’s toxins are carried out, asking ‘so, shall we drink it for health?’ Naggar simply responded with arrogance: ‘I am older than you and more learned than you: you are not going to teach me; I will teach generations of people like you.’

Egyptian thinker, Sayyid al-Qemany—whose strong support for rationalistic thinking and the separation of religion and state caused Egypt’s Islamic establishment to pronounce him an apostate infidel—also joined the show via phone, deploring the very idea that drinking camel urine could heal people.

Referring to Naggar’s announcement that there is a clinic specializing in treating people with camel urine as a ‘catastrophe’ that only indicates how far Egypt has sunk, Qemany called on Egyptian health officials to verify if such a medical center truly exists, saying this is a serious issue involving the health of Egypt’s citizenry.

Naggar tried to defend the ‘salutary benefits’ of camel urine by arguing that European pharmacies produce a medicine that contains female urine (possibly a reference to HCG). Qemany replied that such medicines are not based on drinking crude urine but are synthetic, exclaiming, ‘does this mean I should go drink my wife’s urine?!'” Read more.

Algeria Demands UN To Impose Limits On Freedom Of Speech And Expression‚ Protect Islam And Mohammed

10/01/2012 Leave a comment

Associated Press – “UNITED NATIONS: Algeria demanded new efforts yesterday to limit freedom of expression to prevent denigrating attacks on Islam, appealing to the United Nations to take a lead as nations engaged in new debate on the tensions between free speech and religious tolerance.

In an address to the General Assembly, Algeria’s foreign minister Mourad Medelci called for global action under the auspices of the United Nations to respond to violent demonstrations provoked by a US-produced video that mocks Muslims and the Prophet Mohammad.

While Medelci didn’t offer precise details of how he believed the UN could intervene, his call follows similar demands at the General Assembly from scores of leaders in the Muslim world who want new laws to ban insults against Islam.

On the sidelines of the annual forum, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, told the AP yesterday that the deaths of two dozen people in violent protests against the anti-Islam film underscored the need for new legislation.

Malaysia’s foreign minister Anifah Aman told the General Assembly that the creators of the anti-Islam film — an amateurish, privately produced US video that mocked Mohammad’s image — and those behind the publication of lewd caricatures of the prophet by French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo had shown ‘blatant malicious intent’ towards Muslims.

‘When we discriminate against gender, it is called sexism. When African Americans are criticised and vilified, it is called racism. When the same is done to the Jews, people call it Anti-Semitism. But why is it when Muslims are stigmatised and defamed, it is defended as ‘freedom of expression’?’ Aman told the General Assembly.

Aman he believed it was ‘time to dwell deeper into the heart of the problem and the real debate — the relationship between freedom of expression and social responsibilities, duties and obligations.'” Read more.

‘Absolutely Uncertain’: Short Documentary Reveals How Obama Says One Thing, Does Another When It Comes To Israel

09/29/2012 8 comments

What you are about to watch not only brings to light the degree to which Barack Obama was self-deluded prior to being sworn in to office, it also effectively exposes the catastrophic consequences of a puerile, ineffectual foreign policy entirely modelled after the famous words of the late Rodney King

Description: “A new, 18-minute mini-documentary follows the journey of Irina, a 23-year-old liberal, Jewish New Yorker who voted for Obama in 2008. Yet as her connection to Israel has grown, and she has learned more about the President’s policies across the Middle East and towards Israel in particular, Irina has come to realize that ‘when the chips are down,’ the President may not ‘have Israel’s back’ as he says.”

Top 10 Obama Mideast Mistakes

09/29/2012 4 comments

Human Events – “Despite Barack Obama’s view that his presidency would repair relations with the Muslim world, America’s standing on the Arab street has never been lower.

1. Egypt policy

The administration has been consistently one-step behind events in crafting an Egypt policy. The White House’s initial backing of President Hosni Mubarak lost any support it might have gained from the crowds in Tahrir Square. Then the United States shocked its Mideast allies by pulling support from the Egyptian leader. The United States is now faced with a hostile regime in Cairo, where a Muslim Brotherhood-headed government could hardly be bothered to act when a mob tried to overrun the U.S. embassy.

2. Iran nuclear program

During his 2008 campaign, Obama posited that the Iranian leadership was bellicose mostly in reaction to misguided policies of the Bush administration. Unlike his predecessor, he would be willing to sit down and talk with the mullahs, confident that his powers of persuasion would convince them to lay down their nuclear ambitions. Four years later, Obama seems has been more concerned about cutting back our nuclear arsenal than trying to stop Tehran.

3. Diplomatic security

How could a U.S. ambassador be at an unsecured consulate in a hostile location in the Arab world on the anniversary of September 11? Christopher Stevens’ murder by a terror mob need could have been avoided if the U.S. heeded the warnings that violence was afoot. The State Department had even issued a travel alert to Americans about going to Libya, yet the consulate had minimal security.

4. Libya explanation

Long after the entire world knew that the strike on the Libyan consulate was a terrorist attack, the Obama administration continued its laughable explanation that the assault was solely the result of a spontaneous mob enraged by an anti-Islamic film. As Sen. John McCain pointed out, protesters don’t usually bring rocket-propelled grenades to a political rally.

5. Disdain for Israel

The one ally the United States could always count on in the Middle East—Israel—has consistently gotten the shaft from the White House. Obama has shown nothing if not disdain for the Jewish state, at one point offending Israeli officials by Read more…

NYC Subway Bows To Allah, Bans Conservative Ads Against Jihad On The Basis It Will ‘Incite Or Provoke Violence’

09/29/2012 3 comments

New York City’s MTA has decided to ignore the First Amendment, opting instead to now ban any and all ads that they fear may “incite or provoke violence.” This can arguably mean the following: Since ads speaking against Christianity do not incite or provoke violence and ads speaking against Israel do not incite or provoke violence, those ads may be coming soon to a terminal near you. But ads speaking against violent jihad and Islamic extremism will never again see the light of day. Terrorism may be winning this battle, but the war is a whole other story …

Revelation 17:2, “With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”

By Billy Hallowell – “The epic battle between American Freedom Defense Initiative executive director and blogger Pamela Geller and The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) culminated with a court decision that forced the transit authority to permit the display of controversial ads about radical Islam. But the story didn’t end there. As TheBlaze reported this morning, Geller’s case caused the MTA to rethink the manner in which it handles First Amendment issues, leading to the adoption of some potentially-controversial measures.

On Friday, TheBlaze spoke with a spokesperson who confirmed some of the details surrounding the case, while clarifying the new changes that passed on Thursday. As noted, one of the emergent provisions that was added into the public company’s advertising standards in the wake of the Geller debate allows the MTA to deny ads it believes could incite violence (this was not mentioned in the press release the agency put out about the changes).

As previously noted, a document, reflecting yesterday’s changes, was provided by the MTA to TheBlaze this morning. It highlights the transit authority’s advertising standards and reads, in part, ‘The licensee (‘advertising contractor’) shall not display or maintain any advertisement that falls within one or more of the following categories.’ One of the category sections reads:

The advertisement, or any information contained in it, is directly adverse to the commercial or administrative interests of the MTA or is harmful to the morale of MTA employees or contains material the display of which the MTA reasonably foresees would incite or provoke violence or other immediate breach of the peace, and so harm, disrupt, or interfere with safe, efficient, and orderly transit operations.

Canada: Muslim Mother Stabbed Daughter In Attempted Honour Killing, ‘It’s Good For Your Good, Let Me Finish’

09/29/2012 3 comments

By Graeme Hamilton, National Post – “MONTREAL – For months, Bahar Ebrahimi had been rebelling against her parents, complaining their Afghan culture and Muslim religion were suffocating her. ‘I want to enjoy my life. I want to feel what the other ones feel,’ she told them, according to her mother’s statement to police.

It was June, 2010, Grand Prix weekend in downtown Montreal, and on two straight nights the 19-year-old stayed out past dawn against her parents’ wishes.

For her mother, Johra Kaleki, the behaviour confirmed that all her efforts to steer her eldest daughter on the right path had failed. ‘I felt like she would never be fixed,’ she told Sgt.-Det. Alexandre Bertrand in an interrogation video played Wednesday in Quebec Court.

As her crying husband spoke to Bahar in the basement of their Dorval home, Ms. Kaleki went upstairs and grabbed a large knife from the kitchen counter, the one she used to chop meat, she recounted. ‘I said, ‘This is the time.’ ‘

She hid the knife under her T-shirt, returned to the basement, and told her husband the problem would best be resolved between mother and daughter. ‘Just leave us alone for five minutes,’ she said she told him. ‘Don’t come until I call you.’

He left and she cuddled her first-born and told her to lie on her stomach so she could give her a back massage. ‘Then I stab her, stab her neck,’ she confessed. ‘She said, ‘No Mom!’ I said, ‘It’s for your good. Let me finish.’’

Earlier in the interrogation, Sgt.-Det. Bertrand has asked whether the knife blade was sharp. ‘No, it wasn’t,’ she replied. ‘I wish it was. I wanted to give her the peace that she needed.’

Bahar survived the attack, suffering serious knife wounds to her head and shoulder. Ms. Kaleki, 40, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and illegal use of a weapon.

Her husband, alerted by Bahar’s screams, rushed downstairs and grabbed the knife from Ms. Kaleki, the court heard. ‘I said to my husband, let me finish her.’’ She tried to choke her daughter, she said, and after Bahar escaped, she chased her upstairs and tried to break down the locked door to the bedroom where she was calling 911.

She was arrested, and after being treated in hospital for a knife wound on her own arm, she told her story to Sgt.-Det. Bertrand.” Read more.
