Australia: Muslim Immigrants Five Times More Likely to Commit Crimes Than Other Australians

09/28/2012 1 comment

Revelation 9:21, “And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”

By Daniel Greenfield – “According to the Victorial Police Commissioner

Sudanese and Somali-born Victorians are about five times more likely to commit crimes than the wider community, a trend that must be addressed to prevent Cronulla-style social unrest, police warn. The most common crimes committed by Somali and Sudanese-born Victorians are assault and robbery illustrating the trend towards increasingly violent robberies by disaffected African youths.

Are they mugging Australians because they are ‘disaffected’ or because they make money that way?

‘Property is one of the issues, so they’re stealing iPhones or money or things of value,’ Mr Cartwright said.

Apparently their disaffection takes the specific form of stealing iPhones. How oddly specific.

‘We’ve got to fix this now and make sure it doesn’t continue, so the kids who are now 10 years old aren’t in this offender bracket in five years’ time. So we don’t get the Cronullas happening,’ Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Tim Cartwright said.

There is a slightly simpler fix, stop admitting Sudanese and Somali Muslims into Australia and let their crime statistics be a problem for back home. And while we’re at it, why not retune the immigration system so that it admits those categories of immigrants from groups with the lowest violent crime rates?

The police statistics show the rate of offending among the Sudanese community is 7109.1 per 100,000, while for Somali people it is 6141.8 per 100,000. The figure for the wider community is 1301.0 per 100,000.

That’s a 5-10 percent rate of crime in those communities alone. Why would you go on admitting people who are 5-10 percent likely to mug you as soon as they get off the plane?

Would you allow someone who is 5-10 percent statistically likely to assault you into your house, and if you wouldn’t, then why would you let him into your country?

Naturally this sort of honesty wouldn’t pass and Cartwright is already apologizing for having mentioned that there is even a problem.” Source – FrontPageMag.com.

Michigan: Islamic Leaders In Dearborn Plan To Exercise Their Right To Free Speech To Protest Against … Free Speech

09/28/2012 6 comments

I can almost hear them now: “How dare people abuse freedom of speech and freedom of expression to speak out against someone’s religious faith… Death to Jews and Christians! Islam will rule America!” …

By AWR Hawkins, Breitbart – “Islamic leaders in Dearborn, Mich. are holding a rally this Friday night to build momentum for the passage of laws that prohibit speech or expression that hurts ‘the religious feelings of Muslims.’

Put together in response to the film ‘Innocence of Muslims,’ rally organizer Tarek Baydoun said, ‘We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to sow the seeds of hate and discord against the religious beliefs of others.’ Rally co-organizer Osama Siblani added, ‘There is a need for deterrent legal measures against those individuals or groups that want to damage relations between people, spread hate and incite violence.’

In other words, it appears one of the goals of the rally will be the eventual creation of blasphemy laws: laws that would reflect an international movement toward banning speech that is critical of Islam or Mohammed.

Ironically, this rally comes at a time when hate crimes toward Muslims in America have dropped more 50% in the last ten years. For example, in 2001 hate crimes against Muslims constituted approximately 28% of all such crimes in America, but in 2010 that category of crime against Muslims only constituted 12.7%.

This drop in crime was not due to blasphemy laws or other curbs on free speech.” Source – Breitbart.

Flashback: New Study Shows That 80% of Mosques in America Teach Jihad Violence and Islamic Supremacism – “… Then there was the Center for Religious Freedom’s 2005 study, and the Mapping Sharia Project’s 2008 study. Each independently showed that upwards of 80% of mosques in America were preaching hatred of Jews and Christians and the necessity ultimately to impose Islamic rule. And now comes yet more confirmation that mosques in the U.S. are teaching these things, and again the percentage is remarkably similar: around 80% of mosques are found to be teaching jihad warfare and Islamic supremacism.” Read more.

Egypt’s Islamist President Warns World: ‘We Will Not Allow Anyone’ To Insult Islam ‘By Word Or Deed’

09/28/2012 1 comment

Watch out world, if you’re not walking on egg shells when it comes to Allah, his “prophet” Mohammed, his Qur’an and anything and everything to do with his religion, then President “death-in-the-name-of-Allah” Morsi might get angry. So be sure to “work together” and “join hands” with your friendly neighborhood “I-am-forbidden-from-being-your-friend” Islamist as you both walk across the Isles of Irony in an effort to confront “regressive ideas” …

Qur’an Sura 5:51, “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

James 1:26, “If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.”

By Susan Jones, CNSNews – “In his speech to the United Nations on Wednesday, Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi condemned ‘insults hurled on the prophet of Islam, Mohammed,’ and said the United Nations must do something about it.

‘We reject this. We cannot accept it,’ he said, speaking of insults to Islam. ‘And we will be the opponents of those who do this. We will not allow anyone to do this by word or deed.’

The warning that ‘We will not allow anyone to do this’ was spoken through a translator and did not appear in the prepared text of Morsi’s speech.

Mentioning ‘an organized campaign against Islamic sanctities,’ Morsi said the U.N. has a ‘main responsibility’ in addressing Islamophobia, which ‘is starting to have implications that clearly affect international peace and security.’

‘We all have to work together,’ Morsi said. ‘We must join hands in confronting these regressive ideas that hinder cooperation among us. We must move together to confront extremism and discrimination and incitement to hatred on the basis of religion or race.'” Read more.

Egyptian President Asks Egyptian Consulate to Monitor Case Against Anti-Israel Activist In New York – “President Mohamed Morsy asked Yousef Zada, Egypt’s consul general in New York, to closely follow the case of Egyptian-American journalist and human rights activist Mona Eltahawy, who was arrested in New York City on Tuesday… Eltahawy was arrested for vandalising a pro-Israel ad in a subway station at Times Square, while another woman who supported the billboard’s content, Pamela Hall, was standing against the wall to prevent her from doing so. The journalist was arrested while spraying pink paint over the phrase, ‘In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel, defeat Jihad.’ Eltahawy has been released on bail.” Read more.

How ‘Religious Defamation’ Laws Would Ban Islam

09/26/2012 8 comments

The Catch-22 here is that Islamists would then accuse you of defaming Islam if you tried to enforce a law prohibiting the defamation of any religion upon Islam itself. And judging from the decrepit and frightened response we’ve been seeing from the West recently, many would still choose to agree. Because Muslims don’t need to abide by any set of rules outside of Islamic jurisprudence. They just need to enforce them …

By Raymond Ibrahim – “As the Islamic world, in the guise of the 57-member state Organization of Islamic Cooperation, continues to push for the enforcement of ‘religious defamation’ laws in the international arena—theoretically developed to protect all religions from insult, but in reality made for Islam—one great irony is lost, especially on Muslims: if such laws would ban movies and cartoons that defame Islam, they would also, by logical extension, have to ban the religion of Islam itself—the only religion whose core texts actively defame other religions.

To understand this, consider what ‘defamation’ means.  Typical dictionary-definitions include ‘to blacken another’s reputation’ and ‘false or unjustified injury of the good reputation of another, as by slander or libel.’ In Muslim usage, defamation simply means anything that insults or offends Islamic sensibilities.

However, to gain traction among the international community, the OIC maintains that such laws should protect all religions from defamation, not just Islam.  Accordingly, the OIC is agreeing that any expression that ‘slanders’ the religious sentiments of others should be banned.

What, then, do we do with Islam’s core religious texts—beginning with the Quran itself, which slanders, denigrates and blackens the reputation of other religions?  Consider Christianity alone: Quran 5:73 declares that ‘Infidels are they who say Allah is one of three,’ a reference to the Christian Trinity; Quran 5:73 says ‘Infidels are they who say Allah is the Christ, [Jesus] son of Mary’; and Quran 9:30 complains that ‘the Christians say the Christ is the son of Allah … may Allah’s curse be upon them!’

Considering that the word infidel (or kafir) is one of Islam’s most derogatory terms, what if a Christian book or Western movie appeared declaring that ‘Infidels are they who say Muhammad is the prophet of God—may God’s curse be upon  them‘?  If Muslims would consider that a great defamation against Islam—and they would, with the attendant rioting, murders, etc.—then by the same standard it must be admitted that the Quran defames Christians and Christianity.

Similarly, consider how the Christian Cross, venerated among millions, is depicted—is defamed—in Islam:  according to canonical hadiths, when he returns, Jesus supposedly will Read more…

California: Clear Channel Bows To Allah, Muzzles KSTE’s ‘Armstrong & Getty’ For Promoting Freedom Of Speech And Expression

09/26/2012 5 comments

In the mind of Clear Channel, when Barack Obama stated that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” he must have inadvertently neglected to begin his statement with “starting today.” Now, after promoting the First Amendment’s freedom of speech and expression, the future of popular KSTE radio hosts Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty is, well, not so clear …

By Cynthia Hubert, The Sacramento Bee – “Popular talk radio show hosts Armstrong & Getty were absent from Clear Channel’s live programming Tuesday amid controversy around one of the hosts’ on-air comments about Muslims.

KSTE (650 AM) aired a previously recorded ‘Best Of’ morning show on Tuesday instead of its regularly scheduled live program featuring Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty. Officials for the Sacramento station and its owner, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, offered no explanation for the change, sparking questions and heated comments among fans on the show’s Facebook page.

During an on-air discussion Monday, Armstrong criticized the United States for what he characterized as apologizing for a crude YouTube video that mocked the Prophet Muhammad and sparked anti-U.S. uprisings around the globe. He urged listeners to make their own ‘anti-Muhammad ads’ and post them to Al-Jazeera, the Arabic news network. ‘We need to bombard them with ads until they grow up,’ he said.

Armstrong did not return a phone message from The Bee on Tuesday, and Clear Channel spokesman Dave Milner said, ‘We do not have any information at this time’ about the hosts and their future at KSTE.

The program, which airs weekday mornings, features the hosts taking calls from the public and offering social commentary and humorous anecdotes about everything from celebrity sex to politics.

The show’s fans spoke out on Armstrong & Getty’s Facebook page Tuesday, questioning why they were absent from the live broadcast and accusing the channel of censorship.” Read more.

No Future for ‘Those Who Slander the Prophet’? – “So, what are we to make of the President of the United States speaking before the United Nations and declaring: ‘The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam…’ What does it mean, ‘the future must not belong to’ a particular group? Does it mean these people won’t be around in the future? That in the future, their viewpoint will be marginalized? Out of style? Unpopular? Suppressed? That sometime between now and ‘the future,’ they will have changed their mind? That at some point in the future, no one will feel like slandering the prophet of Islam? Is the First Amendment still in effect in this envisioned future, or has it been rewritten or modified on this topic? How does ‘the future’ belong to one group instead of another?” Read more.

Thinking They Can Change Western Laws, Muslim-Led Nations Seek To Implement Global Ban On Insults Of Muhammad

09/25/2012 4 comments

Daniel 7:25a, “And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws …”

By Guy Taylor, The Washington Times – “As the U.N. General Assembly convenes this week in New York, several leaders of mostly Muslim nations are suggesting that the world body consider sanctions on blasphemy, amid widespread protests against an amateur movie that denigrates Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he will focus at least part of his remarks on the film when he addresses the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.

‘I am the prime minister of a nation, of which most are Muslims, that has declared anti-Semitism a crime against humanity. But the West hasn’t recognized Islamophobia as a crime against humanity. It has encouraged it,’ Mr. Erdogan told reporters last week.

Turkey heads the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a body of 57 nations, which has long pushed for a U.N. resolution condemning the ‘defamation of religion.’

Nonbinding versions of the resolution have been adopted, but the effort was crushed last year by religious groups and human rights activists who argued that it represented a dangerous step toward an international law against free speech.

The debate has been reignited by ‘Innocence of Muslims,’ a crudely produced film made in the United States that has sparked fury in the Muslim world. Protesters have breached the walls at U.S. embassies and desecrated American flags in sometimes violent demonstrations. A protest in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi ended with the deaths of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton appealed Monday to Muslims to show ‘dignity’ and not resort to violence as they protest the film, the Associated Press reported.

‘Dignity does not come from avenging insults, especially with violence that can never be justified,’ Mrs. Clinton said at her husband’s Clinton Global Initiative. ‘It comes from taking responsibility and advancing our common humanity.’

In New York on Monday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad alluded to the film and accused the United States and others of misusing freedom of speech and of failing to speak out against the defamation of people’s beliefs and ‘divine prophets.’

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, whose country boasts the world’s largest Muslim population, has condemned the film and called on ‘the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the U.N. to mull over international protocol to prevent such things like this from happening again.’

Pakistan’s parliament passed a resolution condemning ‘Innocence of Muslims’ and demanding the nation’s leaders to call on the United Nations to take action against those who made the film…

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi will address the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, and many are waiting to see whether he will echo Mr. Ghaffour’s remarks.” Read more.

‘Forward’: President Obama Endorses Imposing Limits On Free Speech In America

09/25/2012 3 comments

That explains this video. When any leader of  a “free” and “open” society explicitly declares that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” — in other words, to those who disagree with the “prophet” Mohammed, his religion and any expression thereof — they are directly attacking one of the cornerstones of Western society: freedom. Today, cloaked in a facade of “tolerance”, the President of the United States has himself just deliberately attacked the First Amendment of the US Constitution’s Bill of Rights and the founding principles upon which America was built as a nation, a President who may possibly be brazen enough to push for a law respecting the establishment of a religion. Unfortunately, it is the one that seeks to destroy the whole of Western civilization. If the American people do not put an end to this man’s presidency, we may be witnessing the beginning of the end of America as we know it …

By John Hayward, Human Events – “Barack Obama’s speech to the U.N. General Assembly began with a fine tribute to slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, which is worth reading in full.  The New York Times has a transcript.

But then the President segued into the circumstances surrounding Stevens’ murder, and things grew… problematic.  Obama is still deeply invested in the mythology of a liberating ‘Arab Spring’ spreading from a self-immolating Tunisian street vendor, leading to a captivating transformation by ‘the forces of change.’  He seems almost completely, willfully oblivious to the tawdry reality of political takeovers by Islamist forces, or the future those forces have in mind for their people.

Once again, the childlike fantasy equation of ‘elections = democracy = freedom’ was worked out before a global audience.  Too much of the Western political elite still seems incapable of dealing with the idea that certain populations might freely elect oppressive regimes hostile to the civilized world’s interests.  It’s not that all such populations are inevitably fated to do so; we seem to be institutionally reluctant to concede that they might do so, and have already cast a few such votes, in rather important places.

Obama offered some rhetorical concessions to the difficulty of managing ‘true democracy’ and ‘real freedom’ beyond simply casting a few votes.  ‘Those in power have to resist the temptation to crack down on dissent,’ he explained… right before allowing that it’s understandable they should do so, at least in the matter of offenses to locally popular religious sensibilities.

Listening to Obama speak on these topics often makes me wonder if he really understands what ‘dissent’ means.  He’s big on the idea of permissible, carefully controlled ‘dissent,’ operating within strict parameters.  His domestic policy is based on the idea that wise government officials can set the parameters of dissent, based on their perception of general public consensus.  You’re not allowed to disagree with ObamaCare’s requirements to provide birth control and abortion drugs, no matter what your religious conscience says.  If you attempt to dissent from ObamaCare in full, you’ll pay a special ‘tax penalty,’ which has grown to devour over 6 million people.  In the early days of Obama’s health care “reform,” his Administration was big on the idea that even verbal disagreement was fundamentally illegitimate, and needed to be controlled by government agencies.

You’re not allowed to dissent from central economic planning – in fact, you must surrender an ever-increasing share of your money, your economic liberty, to support the dictates of Washington.  You cannot dissent from the radical environmentalist agenda that has gone a long way toward crippling the American energy industry, transferring billions into absurd ‘green energy’ projects.  You cannot escape from any of this, because power has been steadily transferred from state governments you can move away from, to omnipresent Washington.  To Obama, the concept of ‘dissent’ is largely limited to infrequent votes in which the public may choose new engineers for the gigantic government machine that controls their lives.  Once the votes have been tallied, obedience is required.

Which gets us back to the big issue of the day, and the part of Obama’s U.N. speech that will dominate the headlines: ‘The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.’

Obama went on to stipulate that Read more…

‘Illegitimate’, ‘Bastard’: Grand Ayatollah Denigrates The Biblical Jesus As Unworthy Of Heaven, Elevates Mohammed Above Christ

09/24/2012 3 comments

In Hebrew, the name “Lucifer” is “heylel,” which means “light-bearer.” The Arabic equivalent is “hilal,” which means “crescent moon.”  Revealing the adversary’s corrupted ambitions, the Prophet Isaiah writes how Satan has said in his heart that “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation … I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”  Through “the man of sin”, he will magnify himself above everything that is called god, even above God Himself. He will, until the bitter end, continue to pursue the iniquity of his disdain, to exalt his throne upon the mount of his own congregation, the Ummah of Islam, a religion which derogates all other faiths and all other gods — even the God of Abraham and Ishmael — in order to honour its own. It is therefore no surprise that the “Takbir” of Islam — “Allahu Akbar” — doesn’t really mean “Allah is great”, as it is often translated in the West, but rather “Allah is greater” …

Isaiah 14:12-14, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! … For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend [alah] into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation … I will ascend [alah] above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Daniel 11:36-38, “… and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished … Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god … But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour …”

By REZA KAHLILI – “Iran’s mullah-dominated regime, even as it was damning the recent video on the Prophet Muhammad as an insult to the sanctity of Islam, has unleashed a ferocious attack on Christianity.

Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, a prominent Shi’ite source of emulation and a Twelver, in condemning the insult to the Prophet, not only insulted Pope Benedict XVI but also Jesus and Miriam, stating that if it were not for the Quran, Jesus would not be worthy of God’s heavens.

Khorasani, in a long statement quoting several verses from the Quran published Friday in Hawzah News, the official site of the seminaries in Qom, Iran, claims the only reason Jesus is regarded as holy is due to the Quran and Muhammad.

‘Hey, clueless pope who has chosen silence (on the Muhammad video), answer this: If there was no Quran, then as the Bible and the Torah have it, Jesus the son of Miriam is a bastard and a bastard will be forbidden from the heavens of God, and so the high place of Jesus is due to the existence of the Prophet Muhammad as the last prophet by God,’ Khorasani said.

The grand ayatollah likened Muhammad to the sun that shines on humanity and cannot be diminished.

‘The Prophet is the light of God and everlasting and that Allah, among all of His prophets, only compares himself to Muhammad and clearly calls him the last of His prophets with the most complete and righteous religion,’ Khorasani said.

The Quran, the last book of God, removed the burden of ‘adultery’ from Miriam and sanctified the birth of Jesus, Khorasani said. ‘The ignorant Christians burn the Quran and don’t understand that the result will be that Jesus becomes an illegitimate child.’

Khorasani had previously called the Bible wrong and unjust, a book that does not reflect the words of God but rather one that has been altered.” Read more.

Athens: Muslim Violence Over Anti-Islam Film Spreads To Greece

09/24/2012 5 comments

By DEMETRIS NELLAS, Detroit Free Press – “ATHENS, Greece — Greek riot police used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse Muslim protesters who clashed with officers Sunday during a rally against a film produced in the U.S. that denigrates Islam’s prophet. No injuries were reported.

A general strike in Bangladesh shut down schools, transportation and businesses, while a few hundred people peacefully marched in Pakistan. Iranian students burned flags in Tehran to protest the publication of lewd caricatures of Mohammad by a French satirical weekly…

In Athens, six people were detained during the demonstration at a central square, police said. About 600 people attended the rally, which featured heated speeches, but was mostly peaceful. Some in the crowd then wanted to march to the U.S. Embassy, about 2 miles away. They tried to break through police lines several times, but riot officers pushed them back.

The violence occurred at the end of the rally, when small groups of protesters threw objects at police. Three cars were damaged and three storefronts smashed.

In Bangladesh, schools and businesses were closed Sunday and transportation was disrupted across the south Asian country as hard-line Islamic groups protesting the film enforced a general strike.

The strike was called in response to police action Saturday against supporters of the groups who rallied in the capital, Dhaka, to denounce the film. Dozens of people were arrested and scores injured Saturday as protesters clashed with police. Several vehicles were burned, including a police van.” Read more.

China: Thousands Of Hong Kong Muslims Denounce Free Speech, Clash With Police During Protest Of Anti-Mohammed Film, Cartoons

09/24/2012 Leave a comment

AFP – “Thousands of Muslims in Hong Kong protested against an anti-Islam film and French cartoons Sunday, briefly scuffling with police as they tried to deliver a letter to the US consulate.

The protesters, who numbered more than 3,000 according to police and organisers, held up banners to denounce the film and cartoons as they marched through the city chanting ‘Allahu akbar’ or ‘God is greater’.

The group, including women in headscarf and children, briefly clashed with police as they tried to break through a cordon outside the US consulate to deliver a petition letter, according to an AFP reporter at the scene.

‘Freedom of speech should not be used against any religion,’ Saeed Uddin of the Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong, a group that claims it represents some 300,000 Muslims in the city, said before the march.

‘This is not the first time that our Holy Prophet has been insulted and attacked,’ he said, branding the cartoons and the film as ‘malicious, disrespectful and derogatory’.

Uddin, a Pakistani who has lived in the southern Chinese city for 35 years, urged the American and French governments to take action against the filmmaker and cartoonist who are behind the controversial works.” Read more.

Pakistan: Christian Beaten By Police For Drinking Water From Glass Belonging To Muslims

09/21/2012 Leave a comment

By Rana Tanveer, The Express Tribune – “LAHORE: A Christian worker at a veterinary dispensary building shared by a police post has accused two police officials of beating and humiliating him for drinking water from a glass used by the policemen.

Nisar Masih, assistant at the Veterinary Dispensary at Jandiala in the Narang Mandi police area, told The Express Tribune that he had filed an application on August 4 to the Sheikhupura regional police officer (RPO) against ASI Rana Raees Ahmed, the police post in charge and constable Muhammad Sarfaraz for beating him up for drinking water from a glass he found in front of the former’s office.

According to the complaint, Sarfaraz took Nisar Masih to the office of Ahmed on seeing him drink water from the office cooler. Ahmed asked Nisar Masih about his religion. When he responded that he was a Christian, Ahmed remarked, ‘How dare you drink from a Muslim’s glass?’ Ahmed then asked Nisar Misih to sit. When he sat in a chair, Ahmed admonished him, ‘How dare you sit on a chair? Sit on the ground.’ Masih said Ahmed also abused and beat him. His ordeal only ended when dispensary incharge Dr Mohsin Farooq Hashmi and two other colleagues pleaded with Ahmed to secure his release. Nisar Masih said, ‘I approached former MPA Chaudhry Wajid Ali on July 29 to request action against the police officials. He informed the concerned DSP and also forwarded a written complaint.’ He said he had stopped going to work since the incident fearing another beating.

ASI Ahmed told The Tribune he had had no objection to Nisar Maseeh sharing their glass when he did not know he was a Christian. ‘On July 28, there was a complaint and I called him to my office and asked him about his religion. He said he was a Christian, I asked, ‘How come he drinks from a glass used by Muslims?… Christians can’t use utensils used by Muslims.’

He denied that he had abused or beaten Nisar Maseeh. Instead, he said he had complained against him to Dr Hashmi. Ahmed said, ‘Dr Hashmi said he had no objection to sharing utensils with Christians… I told him to not let him drink water from our glass.’ He said I have given the glass to Nisar Maseeh and asked him not to use the new glass.

Chaudhry Wajid Ali said he believed that Maseeh had been humiliated and beaten on account of his religious beliefs. He said the DSP had not responded to his complaint.” Read more.
