Ahram Online – “Twitter is nothing more than ‘a source of lies’ and evil, Saudi Arabia’s top Muslim cleric said, in comments that sparked lively debate Tuesday on the microblogging site.

‘If it were used correctly, it could be of real benefit, but unfortunately it’s exploited for trivial matters,’ Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh said on his ‘Fatwa’ television show broadcast late Monday.

Twitter is ‘the source of all evil and devastation’, the mufti said.

‘People are rushing to it thinking it’s a source of credible information but it’s a source of lies and falsehood.’

The social media platform is popular among both men and women in ultra-conservative Saudi Arabia, where some supported the mufti’s views but many others objected.

‘This is why I will repent, and close my account to distance myself from this great evil,’ one Twitter user wrote with apparent sarcasm.

‘Respected sheikh, how can you judge something without using it?’ another post asked.

But a supporter of the sheikh wrote: ‘I swear the mufti has spoken the truth; the evils of Twitter are many.'” Source – Ahram Online.

Imam Foudil Selmoune told a Radio-Canada journalist that under Sharia law, those harsh punishments are part of God’s rules for Muslims to live in a ‘peaceful and just society.’

‘We don’t cut hands off just anyone,’ he said. ‘We cut the hands of people who have money and who steal.’

He also said ‘stoning exists in Sharia.’

‘But we have to ask why did God make these laws? It’s to create a society that is healthy, pure and balanced.’

Selmoune is still listed on the mosque’s website as its imam.

Trudeau’s visit was part of a campaign-style tour of Montreal’s south shore that raised the ire of the Tories.

They previously criticized Trudeau after learning the Islamic centre gave more than $11,000 to a charity called IRFAN-Canada, which the government listed as a terrorist entity this year.” Read more.

The structure, known as Rujum en-Nabi Shua’ayb or Jethro Cairn, is located near the Sea of Galilee and predates the construction of Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid in Egypt, as well as the writing of the Bible.

It was initially discovered in the early part of the 20th century, and was thought to form part of an anciant city’s defensive walls.

Butt doctoral student Ido Wachtel from Hebrew University in Jerusalem recently made a convincing case that the construction served as a monument in its own right.

‘The proposed interpretation for the site is that it constituted a prominent landmark in its natural landscape, serving to mark possession and to assert authority and rights over natural resources by a local rural or pastoral population’, Mr Wachtel wrote in a paper submitted to an archaeology conference in Switzerland.

Presenting his findings ad the International Congress on the Archaeology of the Ancient Near East, Mr Wachtel said the structure may have been erected to honour the ancient Mesopotamian moon god, ‘Sin’.

One of the most important gods in Mesopotamian mythology, Sin is symbolised as a crescent moon and often depicted riding on a winged bull.

The structure was found close to the ancient Israeli town of Bet Yerah, which translates as ‘house of the moon god’, and is believed to have been linked to the town’s religious community.

The vast structure, which is 150 metres long with a volume of 14,000 cubic metres. is thought to have taken more than five months to build.” Source – The Telegraph.

U.S. federal agents discovered the banner draped over the primary border fence in Arizona’s Yuma Sector in a restricted area that could only have been reached from Mexico. The message also contained an image described by authorities as an anarchist symbol. The incident was kept secret from the American public by federal authorities. Breitbart Texas exclusively obtained the leaked incident report from federal agents on the condition their identities remain private.

The leaked incident report reveals that U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered the banner in the early hours of September 12, 2014, indicating that the banner had been draped over the border wall late in the night on September 11th.

One federal agent involved in leaking the incident report to Breitbart Texas expressed concern over the symbolic timing of the message and said, ‘Everyone has been discussing whether cartels would work with ISIS or other terror groups, but this indicates that political groups in Mexico’s border region may be more of a concern in terms of working with terrorists to make a political statement in America.’

Breitbart Texas recently published a leaked intelligence report from the Texas Department of Public Safety that was distributed to federal agencies and indicated that ISIS members or supporters were known to be discussing the potential use of the porous U.S.-Mexico border as a means of secretly entering the United States.” Read more.

When Christ returns in power and great glory Scripture lists the nations that He fights against by name, and every nation that is identified in Scripture is today an Islamic nation. Yet today we continue to see many Christian leaders of all denominations virtually “bowing down” to Islam by defending it. A few weeks ago I attended a service where a “Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover” sermon was given, intimating how the violence against Christians in the Middle East today had nothing to do with Islam, only “extremists” hijacking it. When I asked afterwards if they had even read the Qur’an the response was, for all intents and purposes, that they had not. Sadly, this is all-too typical. Like those in authority over us, it’s high-time for Christian leaders to start picking up the Qur’an to actually read what it teaches before telling us what it doesn’t …

The only one that doesn’t begin with that is surat at-tawba, sura 9, which contains the exhortation to Muslims to fight against Jews and Christians until they ‘pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued’ (9:29). Cardinal McCarrick seems quite submissive already.

Catholic Cardinal Theodore McCarrick offered Islamic religious phrases and insisted that Islam shares foundational rules with Christianity, during a Sept. 10 press conference in D.C.

“In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate,” McCarrick said as he introduced himself to the audience at a meeting arranged by the Muslim Public Affairs Council. That praise of the Islamic deity is an important phrase in Islam, is found more than 100 times in the Koran, and is akin to the Catholic prayer, ”In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

McCarrick next claimed that “Catholic social teaching is based on the dignity of the human person… [and] as you study the holy Koran, as you study Islam, basically, this is what Muhammad the prophet, peace be upon him, has been teaching.”…

“Has Cardinal McCarrick converted to Islam?” asked a scornful critic, Robert Spencer, the best-selling author of many books on Islam.

“‘Peace be upon him’ is a phrase Muslims utter after they say the name of [their reputed] prophet… [so] probably he is unaware of the unintended Islamic confession of faith he has just made,”said Spencer, who runs the Jihadwatch.org website.

McCarrick is wrong to say “that Islam teaches the dignity of every human person,“ Spencer said. “Actually it teaches a sharp dichotomy between the Muslims, [who are called] ‘the best of people’ and the unbelievers [are called] ‘the most vile of created beings,’” Spencer told TheDC.

“The Koran also says: ‘Muhammad is the apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are merciful to one another, harsh to the unbelievers,’” Spencer said.

The same warning came from Archbishop Amel Nona, who was head of Chaldean Catholic Archeparch of Mosul in Iraq. In a August comment made to Europeans, he said that “You think all men are equal, but that is not true: Islam does not say that all men are equal  [and] your values are not their values.”…

“We are together on this against evil, we are against killing, we are against destruction… God bless you in this work you do,” McCarrick said to the Muslim speakers, which included representatives from one group — the Islamic Society of North America — that was implicated in a conspiracy to smuggle funds to the Hamas terror group that recently launched another bombardment of thousands of rockets at Israeli Jews.

“We believe that Islam is a religion which helps people, not kills them… the Muslim community has always taught this,” McCarrick said….

Since early this year, the Islamic State group has killed and murdered thousands of Iraqis that don’t accept rule by the brutal Salafi variant of Islam. The victims include Shia Muslims, Christians and adherents of the pre-Christian Yazidi religion. Tens of thousands of non-Muslims have also been driven from their homes and fields.McCarrick, however, downplayed ISIS’s attack on Christians in Iraq, and expressed more concerns for Muslim victims of ISIS attacks. “The truth of the matter is in these terrible massacres of the Islamic state, most of the victims have been Muslims, most of them have not been Christians,” he told his Sept. 10 audience….

Spencer urged McCarrick to challenge his Muslim hosts. “Cardinal McCarrick, rather than indulge in this fond and ignorant wishful thinking, would have done better to have challenged his Muslim friends to match their lofty words with real action to combat the Islamic State and other Muslim persecutors of Christians,” Spencer said.McCarrick should have “asked them to institute programs in mosques and Islamic schools to teach against the literal meaning of the verses I quoted above and others like them, so that they no longer incite Muslims to violence,” in the U.S. or abroad, Spencer said.

If you really think about it, sometimes people say things by logical extension without actually saying them. If you were to ask Obama directly, however, whether or not the “prophet” of Islam was “contemptible” and “uncivilized” for beating women he’d deny it completely. Because in the politically correct world of brainwashed simpletons, Allah-sanctioned wife beating — like Islamic terrorism — has absolutely nothing to do with Islam …

Hadith, Abu Dawud 2142, “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife.”

Qur’an Sura 4:34a, “Men have authority over women because [Allah] has made the one superior to the other… Good women are obedient… As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them …”

Qur’an Sura 38:44, “And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).”

But by condemning Ray Rice for domestic abuse, President Obama has condemned the Qur’an and Muhammad. A recent press release declared:

The President is the father of two daughters. And like any American, he believes that domestic violence is contemptible and unacceptable in a civilized society. Hitting a woman is not something a real man does, and that’s true whether or not an act of violence happens in the public eye, or, far too often, behind closed doors. Stopping domestic violence is something that’s bigger than football – and all of us have a responsibility to put a stop to it. (Source)

How is this a condemnation of the Qur’an? In Surah 4, verse 34, Allah declares:

Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

Since domestic abuse, according to the president, is “contemptible and unacceptable in a civilized society,” the Qur’an must be contemptible and uncivilized.

Moreover, Muhammad himself, like Ray Rice, was known to hit women, as we can see in this excerpt from Sahih Muslim 2127:

… He (the Holy Prophet) entered the (house), and said: Why is it, O Aisha, that you are out of breath? I said: There is nothing. He said: Tell me or the Subtle and the Aware would inform me. I said: Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransom for you, and then I told him (the whole story). He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you? …

Because President Obama believes that ‘hitting a woman is not something a real man does,’ the president has just declared that Muhammad was not a ‘real man.’
