Fox News – “CAIRO – Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s heart has stopped beating and is not responding to defibrillation, Egyptian state news agency reports.Egypt’s State TV says Mubarak is ‘clinically dead.’
An Interior Ministry spokesman said Mubarak was moved from prison to a military hospital after reports that he suffered a stroke and his condition had rapidly worsened.
The spokesman Alaa Mahmoud says Mubarak was moved by ambulance from the hospital in Torah Prison to nearby Maadi Hospital in southern Cairo. The military facility is where Mubarak’s predecessor Anwar Sadat was declared dead after being shot by Islamic extremists in 1981.
Earlier, the state news agency said Mubarak’s health condition rapidly deteriorated, with his heart stopping briefly, then suffering a stroke. It also reported that his doctors were giving him medications to break up blood clots.
State TV said Mubarak was in a ‘critical’ condition and had been placed on a respirator. A defibrillator was used to restart Mubarak’s heart after it stopped briefly.” Read more.
Gaza: Hamas Terror Organization Jubilant Over Muslim Brotherhood’s Presidential Victory Claim In Egypt
While the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists in the region celebrating a win, the opposition is saying not so fast. It’ll be interesting to see who is declared the official winner on Thursday …
Al-Arabiya – “Hamas leaders and supporters in Gaza Strip celebrated Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood presidential victory, according to preliminary results announced on Monday.
The Islamist bloc’s candidate Mohammed Mursi claimed he had won the election over former prime minister Ahmed Shafiq in the early hours of Monday, in line with primary results that were announced later that day.
Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zohri said that the result, which will be officially announced by the electoral body on Thursday, is a victory for the Egyptian people, its martyrs and the uprising which ousted former president Hosni Mubarak last year.
But perhaps more significantly for Hamas, an Islamist group born from the Muslim Brotherhood which controls the Gaza Strip, Zohri said that Mursi’s win will help break the siege on Gaza and support the Palestinian cause, especially on the issue of the disputed Jerusalem, Egypt Independent reported.
Mursi amassed 13.2 million votes, according to Al Arabiya TV, citing the primary vote counts, which resulted in a 51.8 percent win – against 12.3 million for Shafiq.
Initial results contain a margin of error of about two percentage points, meaning the result may be premature.
In related news, Ismail Haniyeh, prime minister of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, also praised the Islamists’ preliminary win.
‘We, the Palestinian people, follow the political scene in Egypt. We pin great hopes upon the Egyptian leadership, revolution, army, people and presidency to bolster the resistance of the Palestinian people, which has looked to Egypt throughout history,’ Haniyeh said.
‘We hope that Egypt enjoys stability, security and safety and we are still waiting for the official results of the presidential election.’
Mursi’s victory is widely welcomed by many in Gaza, who see it as the first step in the ending of the six-year siege of Gaza, and a great stride for the Palestinian struggle.” Read more.
Campaign: Muslim Brotherhood Opponent Claims Vote Win – “A campaign spokesman for Hosni Mubarak’s ex-prime minister said Tuesday that Ahmed Shafiq has won Egypt’s presidential election, countering the Muslim Brotherhood’s claims that its candidate was the winner and setting the stage for a divisive fight for the leadership. The rival claims carry the potential for a new chapter of unrest at a time when opposition already is growing against a ‘constitutional declaration’ announced by the military on Sunday which robbed the next president of many powers and gave the generals who succeeded Mubarak last year legislative powers as well as control over the process of drafting a constitution. Shafiq’s campaign spokesman, Ahmed Sarhan, told a televised news conference that Shafiq won 51.5 percent of the vote and that the claim of victory by Shafiq’s rival Mohammed Morsi was ‘false.'” Read more.
‘Brutal’, ‘Misogynist’, ‘Racist’: The Islamic Kingdom
Daniel 7:7,23, “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet … The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on earth, Which shall be different from all [other] kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces.”
Zechariah 5:3a, 8a, “… This is the curse [“alah”] that goes out over the face of the whole earth … This is Wickedness …”

By Amil Imani, American Thinker – “Islam is a brutal, tribal warrior cult that glorifies jihad and martyrdom. The Quran is replete with acts of murder, terrorism, and genocide.
Let us look at some explicit provisions of the Quran:
* Islam is misogynist. Men are superior to women. Women are to obey men and are to be beaten when they disobey or misbehave.
* Islam is racist. The Quran stipulates that the Arabs are superior to all others, and it clearly condones slavery. It explicitly stipulates discriminatory laws for slaves.
* Islam denounces other belief systems and marginally recognizes the validity of only two religions: Judaism and Christianity.
* Islam is violent. It not only condones jihad; it recommends it and promises great reward for the jihadist.
* Islam is already splintered in a number of major sects and innumerable numbers of secondary sects that harbor huge disagreement with and animosity toward one another as well as toward all infidels.
Nearly a billion and a half of the human species — a species supposedly endowed with the greatest of intelligence — swallows Islam whole and even dispenses it to others by any and all means possible. It is one of those great mysteries of life that defies any and all logic…
Islam, from its inception, discovered the crucial secret of getting to the young mind early by adhering to the dictum: instruction in early childhood is akin to carving in the rock. In the same vein goes the Jesuit saying, ‘Give me a child until he is seven, and I will give you the man,’ derived from the philosophy and theology of Saint Augustine. The immense importance of getting early to the young mind is also emphasized by non-religious doctrines as diverse as the Freudian psychoanalytic theory and Watsonian Behaviorist psychology.
It is thus that millions of infants annually end up in the care of people who themselves are imbued with a pathological Islamist belief system rooted in the mores and practices of the primitives of the Arabian Peninsula from 1,300 years ago.” Read more.

Endgame Rumor Suggests Russian Commandos ‘To Escort Assad Out Of Syria’
By Gil Ronen, INN – “Ships carrying Russian commandos may soon sail to Syria to escort strongman Bashar Assad to safety from the country where a rebellion against him is growing fiercer.
Reports to this effect were cited by Voice of Israel radio’s veteran ‘listener’ Miki Gurdus, who specializes in listening to radio broadcasts on various frequencies worldwide.
The Interfax news agency said Monday that two Russian navy ships are to sail to Syria to protect Russian citizens and its naval base there. This would be the first time since the current rebellion in Syria began that Russia is sending extra troops to its base in Syria.
Cited by the Associated Press, Interfax quoted an unidentified Russian navy official as saying that the Nikolai Filchenkov and Caesar Kunikov amphibious assault vessels will be heading to the Syrian port of Tartus. The ships appear not to have left their home port in Sevastopol on the Black Sea yet.
The Russian official mentioned nothing about evacuating Assad, but said the ships will carry an unspecified number of marines to protect Russians in Syria and evacuate materials from Tartus if necessary.
Russia has shielded Damascus from international sanctions over its bloody crackdown on the rebellion against the minority Alawite regime. Russia also continued to provide the regime with arms.” Source – INN.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood Declares Presidential Election Win As Ruling Military Council Issues New Rules Limiting Presidential Powers
We’ve seen a couple of seismic events this week in Egypt. The military dissolved the Islamist parliament just two days before Egypt’s historic presidential election, and now that an Islamist has apparently been “elected” they’ve decided to limit presidential powers. It’s quite obvious that the ruling military council is seeking to somehow curtail the rise of Sharia Law and the call for an Israeli confrontation at the last minute, but considering the freight train of Islamism that, up until now, has plowed ahead virtually unfettered, it may already be too late to put this genie back in its proverbial bottle. If there is chaos in Cairo, listen for the echoes of Isaiah 19 in the distance …
Isaiah 19:2-3a, “‘I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian–brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing …'”
“CAIRO (AP) — The Muslim Brotherhood has declared that its candidate, Mohammed Morsi, won Egypt’s presidential election.
Morsi ‘is the first civilian, popularly elected Egyptian president,’ the group says on its website.
The declaration was based on returns the Brotherhood reported from 95 percent of the more than 13,000 polling stations nationwide. The returns showed Morsi with 52 percent of the vote, his opponent former prime minister Ahmed Shafiq with 48 percent. A million votes separated the two, which a Brotherhood spokesman said the remaining votes could not overcome the difference for Shafiq.
The figures were from results announced by election officials at individual counting centers, where each campaign has representatives who compile the numbers and make them public before the formal announcement. The Brotherhood’s early, partial counts proved generally accurate in last month’s first round vote.
The final official result is to be announced by Thursday.” Source – Seattlepi.com.
Egypt: Military Generals Issue New Rules Limiting Presidential Powers – “(Reuters) – Egypt’s Islamists claimed a narrow lead on Monday in vote-counting for the presidential election but the generals who have run the country since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak issued new rules that made clear real power remains with the army. A decree from the ruling military council, published as the count got under way on Sunday, spelled out only limited powers for the new head of state and reclaimed for itself the lawmaking prerogatives held by the Islamist-led parliament which the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) dissolved last week. Liberal and Islamist opponents denounced a ‘military coup’.” Read more.
Egypt: Islamist Group Forbids Eating Tomatoes Because They Are ‘Christian’
“Allah” — the alleged creator of all things in Islam — creating food with crosses, not to mention “Zionist” snowflakes? Oh, the humanity! I wonder how they feel about the fact that the universe itself exists as a “Trinity” of time, space and matter, which are themselves comprised of past-present-future, length-width-depth, and solid-liquid-gas? Will they begin forbidding any discussion about the nature of the universe due to the fact that it was created as “Trinities within a Trinity”? …

By Angie Nassar – “This makes perfect sense… because it makes no sense.
A Salafist group called the Popular Egyptian Islamic Association has come under fire after sending out a warning on Facebook urging its followers not to eat tomatoes because the vegetable (or fruit) is a Christian food.
The group posted a photo on its page of a tomato – which appears to reveal the shape of a cross after being cut in half – along with the message: ‘Eating tomatoes is forbidden because they are Christian. [The tomato] praises the cross instead of Allah and says that Allah is three (a reference to the Trinity).
[God help us]. I implore you to spread this photo because there is a sister from Palestine who saw the prophet of Allah [Mohammad] in a vision and he was crying, warning his nation against eating them [tomatoes]. If you don’t spread this [message], know that it is the devil who stopped you.” Read more.

US Military Completes Initial Planning For Syria Attack As Israel Considers Military Action Against Syria’s Chemical Stockpiles
By Barbara Starr, CNN – “The U.S. military has completed its own planning for how American troops would conduct a variety of operations against Syria, or to assist neighboring countries in the event action was ordered, officials tell CNN.
In recent weeks, the Pentagon has finalized its assessment of what types of units would be needed, how many troops, and even the cost of certain potential operations, officials tell CNN.
Multiple military officials say initial planning is complete with a full understanding of what types of troops and units would be needed. This has been done so that if President Obama were to ask for options the military would be ready to present them. But officials say additional detailed work would have to be done before forces could be deployed.
The planning comes as the U.S. has become increasingly concerned that the violence in Syria is verging on civil war. Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the recent series of bombings have heightened the worry.
Dempsey said it reminded him of the escalating violence during the Iraq war.
The violence ‘gives us all pause that have been in Iraq and seen how these issues become sectarian and then they become civil wars and then they become very difficult to resolve,’ Dempsey told CNN in an exclusive interview on Thursday.
A senior U.S. official said the developments have been a matter of discussion in the Obama administration.
‘There is a sense that if the sectarian violence in Syria grows, it could be worse than what we saw in Iraq,’ the official said.” Read more.

Useless Neanderthals: UN Appoints Saudi Arabia To Lead Counter Terrorism Initiative
I should be shocked, but given the UN’s laughable and cockeyed track record, I’m not. Picking the nation primarily responsible for the world’s terrorism to lead an initiative against world terrorism is like picking Hitler to hide Jews from the Nazis. Let’s see how long it takes before they begin pointing the finger north towards Israel. Defunding this kooky organization is long overdue …
By Brooke Goldstein and Zack Kousnetz, American Thinker – “If the UN were to form an anti-terrorism group dedicated to attacking the menace on a global scale, who do you think would be asked to lead it? A nation with a proven track record of anti-terror initiatives? A nation that esteems human rights and freedoms above all else? Unfortunately, in the case of the UN Centre for Counter Terrorism (UNCCT), the answer is emphatically neither.
The UNCCT was formed in September 2010 with the purpose of executing the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, adopted by the General Assembly in 2006. In a move more befitting Alice in Wonderland than the United Nations, Saudi Arabia was named chair of the organization.
The Resolution that created the UNCCT highlighted four key ‘pillars’ in the fight against terrorism. The first of these pillars, ‘tackling the conditions conducive to the spread of terrorism,’ was undermined almost immediately upon the organization’s establishment. Three months after the UNCCT’s formation, WikiLeaks exposed a trove of diplomatic cables in which Secretary of State Hilary Clinton wrote ‘Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support base for al-Qa’ida, the Taliban, LeT, and other terrorist groups, including Hamas.’ Clinton’s US embassy cables also revealed Saudi resistance to prioritizing the issue in terms of its own domestic policy.
These revelations are perhaps not so surprising in light of the Saudi kingdom’s lukewarm response to terrorism funding and recruitment within its borders. Remember when, in the months following the 9/11 attacks, Saudi Arabia denied the fact that 15 out of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens, before eventually confirming the undeniable truth in 2002? Even worse, this past February two former US senators involved in the 9/11 inquiries suggested in separate affidavits that the Saudi government may have played a direct role in the attacks themselves.
It’s an ironic twist that the UN appointed Saudi Arabia, a country historically labeled by groups like the CATO Institute as a state sponsor of terrorism, to chair the flagship effort to end such practices. The UN’s actions speak to a certain cluelessness it exhibits as a governing body: the organization bows to diplomatic and political courtesies while ignoring what’s happening on the ground.” Read more.

Turkey Urges No Access To NATO Data For Israel
By Rachel Hirshfeld, INN – “In Turkey’s latest rebuff of Israel, Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz has decided to renege on an agreement in principle to provide Israel with information about ballistic missile launchings from terrorist entities, Defense News reported.
NATO agreed in a summit meeting in Lisbon two years ago to devise a missile defense system to protect alliance members from a rogue nation in the area. As part of the system, Turkey agreed to allow the U.S. military to install a special X-band radar at a base in Kurecik in southeastern Turkey.
‘Any data or information produced by this system will only be available to the alliance, as in the case for other alliance systems,’ Yilmaz said in an email message to Defense News on June 12. ‘Information-sharing with non-NATO actors is subject to specific arrangements and it is possible only if the allies consensually agree on it.’
Although there has been some discussion of sharing the radar’s data with Israel, the Turkish government would likely object if the alliance sought to do so.
Yilmaz also stated that his ultimate objective as defense minister would be the development of Turkey’s national defense industry.
‘The Ministry of National Defense will continue its modernization program … and will support the national defense industry by following the scientific developments in the world,’ he said.” Read more.

Egypt: Mubarak Appointed Court Dissolves One-Third Of Parliament, Paves Way For Former Mubarak Official To Run
The new Islamist status quo rising up in Egypt will not bow down to this ruling without a fight. Things could get ugly …
By Ernesto Londoño and Leila Fadel, The Washington Post – “CAIRO — Egypt’s constitutional court ruled Thursday that Mubarak ally Ahmed Shafiq can run for president, and declared that one-third of the lower house of parliament was elected unconstitutionally–raising the possibility that parliament will be suspended until a new election can be held.
The eagerly anticipated rulings were a setback for Egypt’s revolutionaries and Islamists on the eve of the country’s landmark presidential vote, which begins Saturday. Protesters clashed with security forces outside the courthouse minutes after the decisions were announced.
By keeping Shafiq in the race, the court appeared to side with Egyptians who see the former air force chief— who served as Mubarak’s last prime minister, before Mubarak was ousted — as best suited to lead a country reeling from a year and a half of chaotic military rule.
The judges on the top court are Mubarak appointees and seen as sympathetic to the old order. That perception could fuel confrontations between anti-Shafiq protesters and security forces, who were recently given vast powers to detain civilians.
‘Both decisions empower the Mubarak status-quo, which is no surprise, as the judges of the court were appointed by the latter, and represent a part of the so-called ‘deep-state,’’ Omar Ashour, an Egypt expert at Exeter University, said in an e-mail.
Shafiq will compete for the presidency against Mohamed Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Morsi and his allies say Shafiq wants to return Egypt’s government to the repressive tactics Mubarak favored. Shafiq, in turn, says a Morsi victory would transform Egypt into an ultra-conservative Islamic state.” Read more.
‘On The Edge’: Drums Of War Reverberate As Russia, Britain Both Consider Mobilizing Troops For Possible Syrian Deployment
By Aaron Klein, WND – “JERUSALEM – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is preparing a major offensive in the coming days against the opposition targeting his regime, an informed Syrian government source confirmed.
The source told WND yesterday Assad was warned by Russia that if the coming counterinsurgency targeting the opposition is not successful in the next 4-6 weeks, Syria should be prepared for a war.
The source did not say whether the possibility of war referred to a Russian expectation of international intervention in Syria.
The information comes after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yesterday accused Russia of sending helicopter gunships to Syria for use in crackdowns on rebel positions across Syria.
‘We have confronted the Russians about stopping their continued arms shipments to Syria,’ said Clinton. ‘They have, from time to time, said that we shouldn’t worry – everything they are shipping is unrelated to their [the Syrian government’s] actions internally. That’s patently untrue.’
