Lying Wonders: Iran Promotes ‘Discovery’ Of The ‘Gospel Of Barnabas’, Claims It Will Cause ‘Worldwide’ Collapse of Christianity

05/24/2012 8 comments

Islam’s Messiah “al Mahdi” isn’t the only thing that remains hidden today.  Yet again, the “prophets of Persia” have concealed Truth by touting the false and poorly written “Gospel of Barnabas” in an effort to promote Islam. Unsurprisingly, while Iran claims the book “predicts” the coming of the “prophet” Mohammed, it neglects to disclose the fact that, among other things, written in Aramaic on the front cover is an inscription revealing that “this book is written on the hands of the monks of the high monastery in Nineveh, in the 1,500th year of our Lord.” Spelling errors, Qur’an contradictions and historical inaccuracies aside, if predicting the coming of Islam’s prophet nearly 900 years after the fact can somehow be twisted in an effort to advance the cause of Islam, then anything can.

Christian” archaeology undermines the Qur’an. “Jewish” archaeology undermines the Qur’an. Even “Islamic” archaeology undermines the Qur’an. But when it comes to an ideology whose foundations are grounded in lies and deception, the only facts that need apply are those that can be distorted to undermine the Truth …

By Reza Kahlili – “Iran’s Basij Press is claiming that a version of the Gospel of Barnabas, found in 2000, will prove that Islam is the final and righteous religion and the revelation will cause the collapse worldwide of Christianity.

Turkey confiscated a leather-bound text, written on animal hide, in an anti-smuggling operation in 2000. Turkish authorities believe the text could be an authentic version of the Gospel of Barnabas, one of Jesus’ apostles and an associate of the apostle Paul.

This version of the Barnabas Gospel was written in the 5th or 6th century and it predicted the coming of the Prophet Mohammad and the religion of Islam, the Basij Press claims.

The Christian world, it says, denies the existence of such a gospel.

However, religious scholars have said another version of the Barnabas Gospel, discovered a century ago, was written less than 500 years ago, which would post-date Mohammad.

In Chapter 41 of the Barnabas Gospel, Basij claims, is this statement: ‘God has hidden himself as Archangel Michael ran them (Adam and Eve) out of heaven, (and) when Adam turned, he noticed that at top of the gateway to heaven, it was written ‘La elah ela Allah, Mohamad rasool Allah,’’ meaning Allah is the only God and Mohammad his prophet.

The Turkish army has taken possession of the Barnabas Gospel because the ‘Zionists’ and the governments of the West are trying to suppress its contents, Basij Press claims.

According to the Barnabas Gospel in Turkey’s hands, Basij Press says, Jesus was never crucified and that not only is He not the son of God, but that He himself predicted the coming of the Prophet Mohammad. The book even predicts the coming of the last Islamic messiah, the report says. Read more…

MSNBC’s Submission: Don’t Expose Muslim Atrocities, It’ll Make Islam Look Bad

05/23/2012 Leave a comment

To understand how truly ridiculous such a mindset is, simply go back to 1944 and change out “Muslim” and “Islam” for “Nazi” and “Germany” …

By Colin Flaherty, WND – “MSNBC’s new golden girl was in a pickle: If someone sees a black person committing rape or domestic violence, should he report it if it makes black people look bad?

Or if Muslims see wife-beating, genital mutilation and childhood sexual abuse, should they just keep it to themselves, because saying something gives ammunition to the ‘Islamophobes’?

The questions appear to be simple. But they posed a challenge for the host of the new ‘Melissa Harris-Perry’ show when guest Mona Eltahawy talked about her Foreign Policy magazine cover story about abuse of women by men in the Muslim world.

Eltahawy speaks from experience: She had her arms broken in a demonstration in Egypt and was tortured and raped in an Egyptian jail cell.

So she seemed surprised to find Harris-Perry questioning her right to draw attention to ‘traditions’ such as involuntary female circumcision, wife-beating and childhood sexual abuse.

‘I start with a little bit of trepidation in this conversation,’ the host said, ‘in part because I know some of the critiques of this. The very idea that Western press, those that are not from these nations, who are not Muslim ourselves, who are not part of these traditions can look at your article and say ‘ahhh, look at how horrible those men, or those societies, or that religion is.’

‘And that is part of the reason why, for example, we have an under-reporting of rape and domestic violence in African American communities,’ Harris-Perry continued. ‘Because we know the violence enacted on black men by police, so we often don’t call. Right?’

Then the MSNBC host brought in Harvard professor Leila Ahmed, who questioned whether Eltahawy should have written the article at all. Not because it was false, but because it made Muslims look bad.” Read more.

Iranian Government: ‘Jesus’ And The Mahdi Are Coming Soon!

Matthew 24:26-27, “‘Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; [or] ‘Look, [He is] in the inner rooms!’ do not believe [it]. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.'”

Joel Richardson: “The following picture was sent to me from a friend in Iran. It is of a small billboard set up in various cities throughout Iran by the present Iranian government. The caption reads,

“Quote from our Holy prophet, His Holiness Mohammad (God Bless Him): ‘I swear to God, for sure, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) shall descend amidst my followers, the leader of [the] people on that day shall be his holiness (sic) [the] Mahdi. (May God expedite his revelation).’”

Try to imagine if the present United States government placed billboards across the nation informing and encouraging people with the message that Jesus will return soon. The concept is so utterly foreign to us. Please pray for the Church in Iran. Pray that the revival in Iran would only continue to grow and bear great fruit. And do not forget to pray that war with Iran can be averted.” Source – Joels Trumpet.

Two strange incidents today in the air …

“PHILADELPHIA INT’L AIRPORT – May 22, 2012 — A runway at Philadelphia International Airport was briefly closed on Tuesday afternoon after a pilot on approach reportedly saw a smoke trail and felt a blast.

The FAA tells Action News that U.S. Airways Flight 4321 from Elmira-Corning Regional Airport was on final approach when the pilot saw something coming from the ground with a smoke trail.

The pilot said something seemed to detonate off the right side of the plane, but didn’t hit the plane.

The plane was about one-and-a-half miles from landing and 500 feet in the air.

Runway 17 was closed from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

The FAA is investigating.” Source – ABC News.

Plane from Paris diverted after passenger claims to have a ‘surgically-implanted device’ – “A US Airways jet flying from Paris to North Carolina was diverted after a French woman handed a flight attendant a note stating she had a surgically-implanted device, according to House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Pete King (R-NY). The Charlotte-bound jet landed in Maine after the incident, which an airline spokesman calls a ‘security issue.’ King said the woman, who was arrested, had no scars. Sources told Fox News investigators believe the ‘passenger never posed a threat.’ The passenger, who is originally from Cameroon, had no checked baggage and was planning to stay in the U.S. for 10 days, sources told Fox News. The incident came just weeks after CIA thwarted the new underwear plot and just weeks after more reports surfaced over concerns that terrorists could hide bombs inside their bodies.” Read more.

Tunisia: Radical Islamists Hold Anti-Semitic March In Central Tunisia, ‘Jews, Jews, The Army Of Mohammed Is Back’

05/22/2012 Leave a comment

AFP – “KAIROUAN (AFP/EJP)—Thousands of Salafist Muslims marched on Kairouan in Central Tunisia, as part of the extremist Islamic movement’s annual assembly. The exclusively male attendees, many of whom were dressed in Afghan military uniform or waving Salafist black flags, marched through the city and raised a banner over the minaret of its mosque, the oldest in Africa.

The demonstration comes in the wake of the rejuvenated Jewish annual pilgrimage to the Tunisian island of Djerba, the continuation of which was in doubt after Israel’s National Security Council expressed fears the country’s activists were planning attacks on Israeli or Jewish targets…

Organisers of the Salafist assembly had instructed marchers to remain ‘calm’ and not to talk to reporters. Many participants however defied their request not to chant slogans, reciting ‘We are all the children of Osama (bin Laden)’ and ‘Jews, Jews, the army of Mohammed is back’.

The Salafist movement has risen to prominence since its launch in April 2011, following the popular protests that forced former president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to flee Tunisia after 23 years in power, and which constituted the start of the Arab Spring across the Muslim world.

The revolution brought moderate Islamists to power to replace the former secular administration, but also led to the rise of extremist groups advocating the adoption of fundamentalist shariah law.

The leader of the outlawed Hizb Ettahrir party, Ridha Bel Haj told the crowd he was hopeful because of the number of participants in the country’s second annual assembly:

‘The revolution was made so that sharia could be applied’, he said…

Not all observers were willing or welcome participants, however. A group of tourists were seen leaving in disgust, while a crowd of women gathered nearby expressed their horror at the demonstration:

‘Frankly, my first reaction in seeing them was fear,’ said one of them. ‘I don’t know if they bring luck or misfortune to Tunisia, but I’m afraid of a second, religious revolution.'” Read more.

Flashback: ‘A New Cycle of Civilization’: Tunisia’s Islamists Hail Arrival of the ‘Sixth Caliphate’ – “The Islamist politician likely to become Tunisia’s first democratically elected prime minister has alarmed liberals and secularists by claiming the arrival of the ‘sixth caliphate’, a controversial term for a Muslim empire. Hamadi Jebeli, secretary-general of Ennahda, the moderate Islamist party which romped to victory in last month’s elections, told a rally in the city of Sousse: ‘My brothers, you are at a historic moment in a new cycle of civilisation, God willing. We are in sixth caliphate…” Read more.

Hawaii Responds To Arizona’s Obama Birth Records Request

05/21/2012 Leave a comment

Hmmm… I thought that the state of Hawaii already issued Barack Obama’s “official” long-form birth certificate? If this were indeed the case, I would have expected this to be Hawaii’s response to Arizona, but the fact that they’re asking Arizona to prove why they need confirmation of Obama’s Hawaiian birth suggests that the “official” release in 2011 may not have been as “official” as initially suggested …

By Andrew Michalscheck, AZFamily.com – “PHOENIX — The state of Hawaii has responded to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett’s request for proof that President Barack Obama was in fact born in the Aloha State.

The Hawaii attorney general’s office has reportedly told Bennett that there are steps he needs to take in order to confirm President Obama’s birth records.

Those steps include Bennett proving that he legitimately needs confirmation in order to update the records at his office.

Bennett recently said in an interview with KFYI that he had asked Hawaii to further verify the President’s birth.

Bennett said he would consider removing President Obama’s name from the ballot during this year’s presidential election if Hawaii didn’t fulfill his request.

Bennett stated that he is not a ‘birther,’ and believes that President Obama was born in the United States.

He went on to explain that he had received about 1,200 emails from Arizona voters who are concerned about President Obama’s birth records, and felt it was his duty to follow up.

President Obama released his birth certificate last year after some people questioned whether he was actually born in Hawaii.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been investigating the President’s birth certificate since last August. Arpaio has said that his investigation is still ongoing.” Source – AZFamily.com.

Lying Wonders: Baby Boy Born In Nigeria ‘Clutching A Copy Of The Holy Quran’ Hailed A ‘Miracle’ By Imams And Islamic Scholars

05/20/2012 3 comments

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.”

For those who may not know, the name of Satan is “heylel” in Hebrew (Isaiah 14:12, “Lucifer”). The Arabic equivalent is the word “hilal”, which means “crescent moon” …

“OLALEKAN OLABULO reports on the baby boy, who at childbirth in Lagos a few days ago was found clutching a copy of [the] Holy Quran.

The most talked about issue in Lagos and Ogun states in the last one week, is the birth of a baby, who was said to be clutching a miniature Quran, in his hand, at the time of his birth.

The birth of the baby, who was later christened Abdul Wahab Iyanda Irawo, has generated serious argument and discussions from Muslims and Christians alike…

The 32, Shonde Street, Ijeshatedo home of the 32-year-old mother of the baby, became a Mecca of sorts. People from different backgrounds stormed the house to catch a glimpse of the new born baby whose fame had spread to the east, west, north and South of Lagos and Ogun states. Residents of the two-storey building were forced to accommodate the large crowd, who daily besieged the house.

The new baby became an instant commercial merchandise as his photo instantly found its way into calendars, soft sell magazines and tabloid. He became a reference point for Islamic scholars during homily. Millions of naira have exchanged hands since the birth of Abdul Wahab Irawo, as people also gave out money as gifts to his mother and other needy people in the spirit of rejoicing on the birth of the boy.

Residents and workers around Ijeshatedo had since the birth of the new baby listened to more Allahu Akbar than they might have done, probably in the last few years. Every new person that visited the new baby kept shouting Allahu Akbar, apparently to glorify God.

The mother of the baby, Kikelomo Ilori, had confessed to have tried to abort the baby, despite several warnings from the church. Kikelomo was until the birth of the baby, a Christian and the young baby was born at a Cherubim and Seraphim church. This has also created serious arguments on religious superiority.

Kikelomo, while speaking on the birth of Abdul Wahab, stated that a friend of hers, Kehinde Ogunlana, took her to the church after the baby refused to come, when the pregnancy was due. It was after she had spent many days at the church that she finally delivered a baby boy, whom many are now describing as a miracle baby…

Imams and Islamic scholars from different Islamic organisations and foreign missions, all paid their respect to what they described as ‘miracle of [Allah].'” Read more.

Egyptian ‘Sheikdown’: Voting For ‘Secular’ Candidate Would Be Against Islam, Must Vote For Someone Who Will Implement Sharia And Liberate Jerusalem

05/19/2012 Leave a comment

In other words, this Muslim preacher is telling the Egyptian people to vote for the Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Because he is compelled by the religion-of-no-compulsion to tell them who to vote for. Because democracy is forbidden. And there is no freedom in Islam. So voting has become a religious duty. Because buying votes would be a ‘great sin’. Except for when the Muslim Brotherhood does it. So it is imperative for every Egyptian to freely vote for a pro-Sharia candidate who will take away that forbidden freedom …

Isaiah 19:4, “‘And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master, And a fierce king will rule over them,’ Says the Lord, the LORD of hosts.”

By Al-Masry Al-Youm, Egypt Independent – “Muslim preacher Safwat Hegazy, who has been campaigning for the Muslim Brotherhood’s presidential candidate, Mohamed Morsy, said it is against religion to elect a presidential candidate who wants to establish a state based on liberalism, secularism, communism or socialism.

During Friday prayers in Nagda Mosque in Nagaa Hammadi, Qena, Hegazy called on people not to elect a candidate who participated in the injustice and the corruption of the former regime or who even remained silent watching the injustice and corruption of Hosni Mubarak and his entourage.

Hegazy said voters should choose the candidate who would apply Sharia and ‘who would be living in Cairo, but would tremble in fear [of God] if asked about a hungry person in Nag Hammadi.’

He described the elections as a testimony before God and a great responsibility, and said: ‘If you choose a man who corrupted the country, you will be responsible with him for his corruption and will be held accountable with him [before God]. But if you choose a man who abides by the law of God and establishes justice, you will be rewarded with him. Everyone will be held accountable [by God] if the next president is ill-chosen, and we should not blame but ourselves.’

Hegazy stressed that participating in the elections is a religious duty and that not voting or invalidating one’s vote is against religion. He added that buying votes is a ‘great sin.’

‘We want a president who we can tell, ‘Fear God and His law and judge according to His Book.’ We want a president who will free Palestine and Jerusalem to tell the world that the law of God has returned in Egypt,’ he said.

A large number of Brotherhood members and Morsy supporters were reportedly attending the sermon, passing out campaign flyers.” Source – Egypt Independent.

Uncovering Early Islam – New Books Question The Conventional History Of Mohammed And Islam

05/18/2012 2 comments

When the Prophet Daniel wrote in 7:25 that Antichrist would “think to change times and laws”, it’s clear in my mind that the “laws” were a direct reference to the desired implementation and subjugation of Sharia Law upon non-Muslims. But thinking “to change times” may not have simply been referring to changing Greenwich Mean Time with “Mecca Time” or replacing the Gregorian Calendar of the West for the Hijri Calendar of Islam. It may have also been referring to something that we’re witnessing even this very day in the world of Islam: the rewriting of history …

By Daniel Pipes, National Review Online – “The year 1880 saw the publication of a book that ranks as the single most important study of Islam ever. Written in German by a young Jewish Hungarian scholar, Ignaz Goldziher, and bearing the nondescript title Muslim Studies (Muhammedanische Studien), it argued that the hadith, the vast body of sayings and actions attributed to the Islamic prophet Mohammed, lacked historical validity. Rather than provide reliable details about Mohammed’s life, the hadith, Goldziher established, emerged from debates two or three centuries later about the nature of Islam.

(This is like today’s Americans debating the Constitution’s much-disputed Second Amendment, concerning the right to bear arms, by claiming newly discovered oral transmissions going back to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Obviously, their quotations would inform us not what was said 225 years ago but about current views.)

Since Goldziher’s day, scholars have been actively pursuing his approach, deepening and developing it into a full-scale account of early Islamic history, one that disputes nearly every detail of Mohammed’s life as conventionally understood — born in a.d. 570, first revelation in 610, flight to Medina in 622, death in 632. But this revisionist history has remained a virtual secret among specialists. For example, Patricia Crone and Michael Cook, authors of the synoptic Hagarism (Cambridge University Press, 1977), deliberately wrote obliquely, thereby hiding their message.

Now, however, two scholars have separately ended this secrecy: Tom Holland with In the Shadow of the Sword, and Robert Spencer with Did Muhammad Exist? As their titles suggest, Spencer is the bolder author, and so is my focus here.

In a well-written, sober, and clear account, he begins by demonstrating the inconsistencies and mysteries in the conventional account concerning Mohammed’s life, the Koran, and early Islam. For example, whereas the Koran insists that Mohammed did not perform miracles, the hadith ascribes him thaumaturgic powers Read more…

Israel: Muslims Attack Israeli Medical First Responders While Treating Injured Muslims, ‘I’ve Never Experienced Anything Like This’

05/18/2012 Leave a comment

In a culture built upon hate, no good deed goes unpunished …

By Akiva Novick, YNet News – “An emergency medical crew narrowly escaped being lynched this week while responding on the scene of an injurious car accident near Jerusalem, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday.

The fateful call came on Tuesday; a car carrying a group of Palestinian youths from east Jerusalem swerved off the road and hit a safety barrier near the village of Hizma.

Upon reaching on the scene the crew began treating two young women who were hurt in the crash. But their efforts were interrupted with the arrival of the victims’ family members, whose misguided attempts to defend the women quickly turned violent.

‘Suddenly, a Volkswagen came to a screeching halt and three Arab youths emerged,’ said S., a paramedic. ‘They started to curse and tried to discern who hurt the women.’

The crew’s account of the accident failed to pacify the enraged men, who upped the verbal attack.

‘They started cursing the IDF, Magen David Adom and everything affiliated with the state,’ S. said. ‘They called us ‘maniacs and f***ing Jews.’ We were shocked by how angry they were.’

Meanwhile, more Palestinians gathered around them. When some began hitting the ambulance, the paramedic took charge of protecting his crew mates – a female driver and a 16-year-old male volunteer.

‘I told them to lock themselves in the ambulance while I remained outside to deal with the situation,’ S. said, ‘The attackers cursed and pushed me. At one point more than ten people surrounded me and began punching me in the ribs and the head.'” Read more.
