Is The U.S. Government Stockpiling Food In Anticipation Of A Major Economic Crisis?

09/25/2011 Leave a comment

By Michael Snyder – “Is the U.S. government stockpiling huge amounts of food and supplies in anticipation that something bad is about to happen? Is something about to cause a major economic crisis that will require large quantities of emergency food? For a while, I have been hearing things about the government storing food through the grapevine and I have not been sure what to think about those rumors. Well, today I received a phone call that blew me away. I debated for quite a while before I decided whether or not to share this information with you all. Normally I do not like to talk about anything unless I am able to prove it by pointing to an article in the mainstream media. But the source of the information that I am about to share with you is rock solid. I cannot reveal his name, so you will just have to trust me on that. Hopefully the following information will be one more ‘dot’ as we all try to connect the dots about what is really going on out there.

This morning I received a call from a very prominent person in the storable food industry. He has asked me not to reveal his name. I have been dealing with him for an extended period of time and I consider him to be a rock-solid source. When I talked to him today, he had just received a huge order for storable food from a U.S. government source. He told me that the dollar amount of the order was in the ‘five figures’.

When he asked about why so much food was being ordered, the government source told him essentially that ‘you know what is coming’. When pushed further, the government official did not elaborate.

It was unclear whether this was part of a larger food stockpiling program by the government. Perhaps this order was just part of the normal preparations that government agencies make for potential emergencies.

Nobody could blame the government for storing up some emergency food. That is something that we all should be doing.

The truth is that the government is taking emergency preparedness very seriously these days. For example, you can see video of a high-level NASA official urging NASA employees to develop preparedness plans for their own families right here.

But what if this is a sign of something bigger?” Read more.

Would Jesus Support a Palestinian State?

09/24/2011 Leave a comment

By Joel Richardson – “In a recent blog post for CNN, Middle East expert and evangelical Christian, Carl Medearis, wrote a piece arguing that Jesus would support a Palestinian state.

I’ve met Carl on a couple of occasions. Carl is an amazing storyteller, a nice guy, and he truly loves Muslims. But his theology is utterly abysmal. And, even worse, his pro-Palestine position stands in direct conflict with the principles of justice, truth, love and righteousness.

The gist of Carl’s argument, and one I suspect is shared by many American evangelicals, is that Christians should discard the Bible, discard their eschatology and support a Palestinian state simply because it is the right thing to do. Carl warns against, ‘allowing obscure Old Testament promises to dictate our foreign policy.’ Instead we should simply focus on, ‘love, compassion, justice and peace-making.’

The glaring problem with Carl’s argument is that it assumes that those ‘obscure Old Testament promises’ are in conflict with the principles of ‘love, compassion and justice.’ Carl could not be more wrong. Not only does Carl’s position require him to discard numerous very clear passages from the Bible (would Jesus reject these sections of the Bible?), but it also runs rough shod over the principles of love, justice and compassion.

For the sake of argument, let’s take Carl’s approach. Let’s forget the Bible entirely. Let’s just examine the conflict based upon an objective assessment of the reality on the ground. Let’s also begin by acknowledging that whether Jew or Arab, it doesn’t matter; God loves them all.

First, let’s ask: Which side truly desires peace? This question is a no-brainer. According to the Pew Research Center, in a poll conducted between March 21 and April 26 of 2011, 78 percent of Palestinians support suicide bombing to kill Jews. Of those polled, only 19 percent said they would never support suicide bombing. But Carl says, ‘The good news is that extremists are a minority on both sides of the conflict.’ Seventy-eight percent is no minority, Carl; it is an overwhelming vast majority. As a person who claims to desire justice, peace and love, let this fact sink into your head: Roughly eight out of 10 Palestinians believe that is acceptable to use suicide bombing to kill Jews – simply because they are Jews. Truth and justice demand that we begin by acknowledging the dark reality the Jewish people are contending with.” Read more.

Gaza and the West Bank: 31 Opportunities for Statehood Squandered in Favor of Genocide – “There is an eerie déjà vu about an unmistakable and oft-repeated process in the Arab–Israel conflict. The process started in 1937 and has repeated itself with minor variations many times over the subsequent 74 years. The process is as follows: Arabs go to war with Israel, promising Israel’s destruction and the annihilation of its Jews. Israel wins the war and offers peace. Arab leaders reject Israel’s peace offer, renew their promises of destruction and annihilation; and after a while they go to war again, and lose again, and Israel again offers peace. Repeat this process 31 times and you have the history of the Arab-Israel conflict in a nutshell. Unfortunately, this process never seems to make it to our mainstream media’s radar screen, nor into many of the classrooms of professors of Near Eastern Studies.” Read more.

WARP Speed Ahead: Have CERN Scientists Managed to Exceed the Speed of Light?

09/22/2011 Leave a comment

“An international team of scientists has recorded neutrino particles travelling faster than the speed of light, a spokesman for the researchers said on Thursday — in what could be a challenge to one of the fundamental rules of physics.

Antonio Ereditato, who works at the CERN particle physics center on the Franco-Swiss border, told Reuters that measurements over three years showed the neutrinos moving 60 nanoseconds quicker than light over a distance of 730 km between Geneva and Gran Sasso, Italy.

‘We have high confidence in our results. But we need other colleagues to do their tests and confirm them,’ he said.

Dr. Ereditato conducted the research with his colleagues by preparing beams of just one type, muon neutrinos, sending them from Cern to an underground laboratory at Gran Sasso in Italy. They then checked how many of the beams showed up as tau neutrinos, the BBC reported.

While conducting experiment, the researchers noticed that the particles showed up 60 billionths of a second sooner than light would have over the same distance, the BBC report said.

The team then measured the travel times of neutrino bunches roughly 15,000 times, reportedly reaching a level of statistical significance that in scientific circles would be considered a formal discovery.

If confirmed, the discovery would overturn a key part of Albert Einstein’s 1905 theory of special relativity, which says that nothing in the universe can travel faster than light.” Source.

The Universe Confirms the Bible – “In this chapter, we will explore some passages of Scripture which touch upon the topics of astronomy and astrophysics. It is interesting that many of the Bible’s statements about astronomy went against the generally accepted teachings of the time. Undoubtedly, many of these verses would have seemed counterintuitive, and may have been difficult to believe when they were first written. However, modern science has confirmed what the Bible has taught. As in all things, the Bible is absolutely correct when it teaches about the universe.” Read more.

Distant Starlight and the Speed of Light – “The stars created on the fourth day were created for man – as ‘signs and seasons.’ There is no reason to believe that Adam and Eve had to wait four years for the first stars to ‘switch on’ (the nearest star is about four light-years away). Similarly, we do not see new stars ‘blinking on,’ as if their light had finally reached the earth. The model mentioned earlier by Dr. Humphreys may give us a way of better understanding how light was originally created ‘on its way’ and yet not have this problem of ‘built-in information.’ In a sense, it may also effectively involve a change in (apparent) c (since as the stars recede rapidly, the lightbeam remains intact), though it would not predict that this would be detectable in historical measurements. We hope that sufficient discussion has already taken place to enable the reader to see that the apparent problem of having young age and great size of the universe has a number of possible solutions. Did light speed change?” Read more.

France: ‘A Wild Horde’ of Pro-Palestinian Activists Chanting ‘Death to Jews’ Terrorize and Threaten Passengers Waiting to Board Israeli Airline

09/20/2011 Leave a comment

“’About 30 pro-Palestinean activists invaded the embark lobby of the Israeli airline El-Al at Roissy, crying ‘Death to Israel’ ‘Death to the jews’ and preventing the checkin of passengers.’”

According to witnesses on the spot ‘a wild horde terrorized, threatened, intimidated passengers.’ They were responding to a call from the extremist organization EuroPalestine. Some wore t-shirts calling for a boycott of Israel.

The National Bureau of Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism (BNVCA) condemned ‘the attack’ and appealed to the Prefect of Seine Saint Denis ‘to stop this aggression and discrimination that those responsible are arrested and brought to justice for disturbing the public order and incitement to hatred’.

The police and security service from the airport intervened and asked the reinforcements to disperse the demonstrators.” Source.

Unearthly Sounds of Earth Perplexing Scientists

09/19/2011 5 comments

By Nancy Houser – “Strange unearthly sounds heard around Earth are perplexing scientists, especially when similar sounds are heard at the same time. The sounds are described as ‘running trains,’ while others are described as trumpets or booming sounds. All are unearthly.

YouTube.com is full of videos displaying strange sounds from all over the world, with viewers asking for explanations. They vary in countries and states—with many heard at the same time but in different locations of Earth, such as the sounds in southern Sweden.

‘What’s going on is an interesting challenge, whatever it might be,’ said seismologist David Hill, scientist emeritus at the U.S. Geological Survey office in Menlo Park, Calif., in the article, ‘Mysterious ‘Booming Sounds’ Heard Around World Perplex Scientists.’ ‘It seems there is quite a range of processes in nature that might be responsible.’

Saudi Arabia: ‘Moderate’ Anti-Assad Sheikh Declares that Christians Should Be ‘Torn Apart, Chopped Up and Fed to the Dogs’

09/19/2011 Leave a comment

“(ANSAmed) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 – A Syrian sheikh who has been exiled to Saudi Arabia and has become one of the voices of the uprising against Assad, urges his followers, in television sermons that have been broadcast in Syria as well, to ‘tear apart, chop up and feed’ the meat of all supporters of the current regime ‘to the dogs,’ including all Christians. The fundamentalist turn part of the Syrian opposition is taking is denounced on the website Terrasanta.net, of the Franciscan Custody.

Many Syrian Christians, the website reads, are terrorised; in some cities, like Homs, they are even afraid to leave their houses. Some churches have already been burned down. These appeals to hate were made in this context by sheikh Adnan al Aroor, who is described in a profile of television network Al Arabia as a ‘moderate Sunni’, a ‘symbolic figure’ for the anti-Assad activists, a man who invites people to ‘peaceful and non-violent’ rebellion. The sheikh broadcasts on the Islamic satellite channel al Safa, which has its headquarters in Saudi Arabia. The channel is very popular in Syria. In one of the sheik’s sermons that have been examined by the editorial staff of ‘Terrasanta’, al Aroor explains that Syrians can be divided into three groups: ‘the first includes people who are for the revolution and against Assad. When the President falls, the winners will look with favour on this group. The second group consists of people who are not for nor against the revolution. They can expect no privileges from the new regime. The third group opposes the revolution and backs Assad. The meat of these people – in the words of Al Aroor – will be ‘torn apart, chopped up and fed to the dogs.’ This is an explicit threat to Christians, who have always been considered to be protected by the current regime.'” Read more.

Australia: Freaked Out Driver Tail-Gated by UFO, Reported Sightings Double This Summer

09/19/2011 1 comment

By DAMIEN McCARTNEY – “A TERRITORY man was shaken after an encounter with a UFO south of Tennant Creek.

The man, who wished to be identified only as Aiden, was an hour south of Tennant Creek on his way to Melbourne when he noticed a bright light following him closely, the Katherine Times reported.

Aiden said he had left Tennant Creek at about 3.30am.

‘About an hour after I had set off I looked in my side mirror and noticed a light behind me,’ he said.

He thought nothing of it, believing it was another car – but the light got brighter.

‘I thought ‘geez, they must be driving fast’ as I was doing 120km/h,’ he said.

‘When I looked again after a few minutes the light was really bright but it was in the bloody sky.'” Read more.

UFO sightings spiked this summer – “According to an organization that tracks UFO reports, this summer has been an especially busy period for UFO sightings. The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) noted that sightings increased over the past six weeks, with some states more than doubling their normal numbers. Are we on the cusp of an alien invasion? Or maybe people just have more time on their hands to spot — and report — strange things in the sky? ‘It’s pretty exciting,’ said Clifford Clift, the international director of MUFON. ‘When you average 500 a month [nationwide] and go to 1,013 in one month, that’s an interesting spike in sighting reports.'” Read more.

NASA: Huge Defunct Satellite Falling Faster Than Expected, Will Plummet to Earth Around September 23rd

09/16/2011 Leave a comment

By Tariq Malik – “NASA space junk experts have refined the forecast for the anticipated death plunge of a giant satellite, with the U.S. space agency now predicting the 6 1/2-ton climate probe will plummet to Earth around Sept. 23, a day earlier than previously reported.

The defunct bus-size spacecraft is NASA’s Upper Atmospheric Research Satellite (UARS), which launched in 1991 and was shut down in 2005 after completing its mission. The satellite was expected to fall to Earth sometime this year, with experts initially pegging a weeks-long window between late September and early October, then narrowing it to the last week of this month.

That window, NASA now says, has been trimmed to just three days.

‘Re-entry is expected Sept. 23, plus or minus a day. The re-entry of UARS is advancing because of a sharp increase in solar activity since the beginning of this week,’ NASA officials wrote in a status update today (Sept. 16). The projection is a day earlier than a previous forecast released by NASA yesterday.

NASA spokeswoman Beth Dickey confirmed with SPACE.com earlier today that the reason UARS is expected to fall early in its re-entry window is because of the sharp uptick in solar activity. Solar effects from the sun can create an extra drag on satellites in space because they can heat the Earth’s atmosphere, causing it to expand, agency officials have said.” Read more.

Obama Has Aggravated Muslim Extremism

09/13/2011 Leave a comment

By James Lewis – “We have the first administration in American history that’s both fabulously incompetent and anti-American to boot.

This weekend Charles Krauthammer said on Fox News that Obama is simply in over his head. But Rush Limbaugh thinks BHO is blowing up the economy on purpose.

Well, how about both? Maybe this is the Keystone Kops trying to commit national hara kiri?

Domestically, we’re in the longest recession in the last sixty years. And if that’s not enough, take our foreign policy. Please.

The howling fanatics who just stormed the Israeli Embassy in Cairo happen to be the same old Blind Sheikh gang that truck-bombed the Twin Towers in Manhattan in 1993. That was the first NYC attack by Radical Moos, remember? Eighteen years ago. Fortunately, that bomb didn’t do structural damage to the buildings, but it led straight to 9/11/01.

Bill Clinton managed to ignore the Blind Sheikh for two whole terms until ‘those chickens came home to roost’ on 9/11/01, to use Rev Wright lingo.

National Review’s Andy McCarthy was the federal prosecutor for the Blind Sheikh, and has spent years writing about all the chances we’ve blown against Jam’a al-Islamiya. Today they look stronger than ever, or they wouldn’t be storming the Israeli Embassy in Cairo, with Egypt’s boss General Tantawi refusing to answer the phone.

This attack represents the complete breakdown of the 30-year Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty. It would never have happened if Obama had just left President Mubarak in peace. Mubarak kept the Moo Bros out of power.

But no…Obama’s Alinsky Reflex got triggered by those pictures of big crowds in Tahrir Square, and the New York Times told all the mediots that this had to be the ‘Arab Spring.’ CBS News promptly sent comely correspondent Lara Logan into Tahrir Square, where the Moo crowd turned on her and committed gang rape. Score another historic first for Obama and liberal insanity.

See, under Obama those peace-loving Muslims really like the United States of America. It’s because Obama shows respect.” Read more.

Lo! There He Is, Out In The Desert! Russia’s Vladimir Putin Believes He “Saw Christ” In Iranian Leader

09/06/2011 19 comments

Matthew 24:28, “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”

Pajamas Media – “Iran’s supreme leader is being elevated to sainthood and leader of the worldwide Islamic movement by the Iranian media.

In commentaries that reflect the dictates of the Iranian regime, the media for the first time are publishing statements by world officials and others that deify Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The most significant of such statements comes from Vladimir Putin, the former president and current prime minister of Russia. The media outlet Mahramaneh reports that in October 2007, when Putin traveled to Iran, he specifically requested a meeting with Khamenei and came away dazzled.

During that meeting, according to the report, Khamenei talked about the history of Russia and what lies ahead, which surprised Putin. Afterward, Iranian diplomats said that Putin’s behavior had changed drastically. When Putin returned to Moscow, a reporter asked what he thought of the Iranian supreme leader. Putin is quoted as saying: ‘I don’t know much about the Messiah, the Christ, just what I have heard or read in the Bible, but I saw Christ, the Messiah, in the leader of Iran.'” Read more.

Putin is absolutely right and I agree with him 100%.  He doesn’t know much about the Messiah …

Russia, Iran now linking up – “Despite centuries of antagonism, Russia and Iran have decided to enter into discussions to form an alliance to enhance their security cooperation, according to a report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin. Even while Russia has agreed to some United Nations sanctions over Iran’s nuclear development program, discussions toward a strategic alliance have been under way for months already, according to informed sources. And more discussions about that relationship, and to address a range of threats, are to take place at the highest levels of government.” Read more.
