By Charles C. Johnson, The Daily Caller – “A senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security is an old friend of  an activist who was convicted in 2008 of financing the terrorist organization Hamas.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, reiterated claims he made this summer that former Holy Land Foundation president and CEO Shukri Abu Baker is innocent and a victim of political persecution.

Elibiary, who in his position on the council has regular access to classified information, also said the United States insults Muslim dignity and compared the Muslim Brotherhood to American evangelicals.

Elibiary confirmed to journalist Ryan Mauro of the ClarionProject in August that he is a longtime friend of Baker. Mauro’s interview can be read at the Center for Security Policy.

Baker and four other officials of the closed Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development were convicted of using the charity to finance Hamas in 2008. It was the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history. Federal prosecutors described the Foundation, which was closed by the U.S. government in 2001, as an entity of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.

Elbiary first disclosed the relationship in a 2007 article in the Dallas Morning News. He met Baker as a teenager and was so moved by the terrorist funder’s explanation of alleged Israeli persecution of Palestinians that he says he began donating monthly to Baker’s foundation until it closed in 2001. The friendship continued, with Elibiary meeting with Baker for coffee the day before he was convicted.

Elibiary maintains that Baker is innocent, and in 2010 he wrote that the U.S. government was ‘using the law to force compliance with unjust foreign policies.’ He reiterated his belief that the U.S. should not have prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation.

The Muslim activist has never disguised his support for Muslim Brotherhood extremism. In a 2006 letter to the Morning News, he defended the fanatically anti-American early Brotherhood leader and theorist Sayyid Qutb, stating, ‘I’d recommend everyone read Qutb …’

Who Is Mohamed Elibiary — And Why Is He Advising DHS? – “Elibiary had the mau-mau strategy down pat, being quick to accuse his opponents of anti-Muslim bigotry. This is his standard m.o., and he’s done pretty well by it. One of the last times I wrote about him at the Dallas Morning News was to blog about how incredibly foolish it was for Congress to rely on Elibiary for counterterrorism advice, considering that Elibiary publicly defended the late Muslim Brotherhood jihad ideologist Sayyid Qutb as a positive spiritual influence. Qutb, understand, called for global holy war to subjugate the planet — including dissenting Muslims — for radical Islam.” Read more.

By Cynthia Yacowar-Sweeney, Vlad Tepes – “Winnipeg’s Hasting School, presently at the centre of a controversy regarding the cancellation of this year’s Christmas and Halloween celebrations, is part of the very same school division where a dozen Muslim families who recently arrived in Canada, went to demand their children be excused for Islamic reasons, from the elementary school music and co-ed physical education programs, both compulsory, back in 2011.

In the end, the immigrant Muslim families finally accepted the physical education classes, but with stipulations: boys and girls would have separate classes. However, the Muslim parents would not allow their children to be exposed to singing or playing musical instruments, as this is not permitted in Islam.  The school division caved to Muslim demands by suggesting these students write a music project instead.

Well, so much for promoting Canadian values. The next thing to go is Canadian traditional holiday celebration. This is actually occurring at Winnipeg’s Hastings School, part of the Louis Riel School Division. Hastings School is not only cancelling Halloween and Christmas celebrations, but replacing them with possibly Islamic ones. Yes, Islamic ones. How so?

Hastings School has decided to go with African ‘drumming’. Why not African ‘music’, if anything, like beautiful Mali music that was outlawed by Islam when al Qaeda took control of northern Mali?

What’s interesting is that the ‘daf’ drum from Islamic North Africa is the ‘only’ instrument AND the only ‘kind’ of drum allowed in Islam. Is this the drumming that Hastings school is offering in lieu of our traditional celebrations that have been celebrated for a few hundred years?

According to the Koran and Hadiths, musical instruments, including drums (such as the tabla drums that are not hollow as the daf drums) are all regarded as tools of Satan that lead man astray and away from Islam and the path of Allah…” Read more.

Some might say yes, particularly those who believe that faith-related field trips serve as good educational opportunities. But what about when those trips include Islamic mosques and Hindu temples at the expense of others? A a controversy in Tennessee is brewing over exactly that.

Enter Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tenn., a school that has come under fire after sending freshmen to a local mosque on Sept. 4, where they were reportedly offered copies of the Koran. In the wake of the controversy, the school has revised its field trip policy to restrict trips to churches, reports conservative commentator Todd Starnes.

The students in the school’s honors world studies class visited both an Islamic mosque and a Hindu temple. Considering that the pupils likely had little knowledge about either faith system, the assumption is that the trip was a cultural learning opportunity.

But some parents, Starnes notes, were bothered by the fact that Hendersonville students were not also sent to Christian and Jewish houses of worship.

Parent Mike Conner voiced his concern to Starnes, claiming that the kids were served cookies and punch at the mosque and that they purportedly heard readings from the Koran. They were, however, allowed to decline the Koran if they chose. At the Hindu temple, the kids were apparently led in meditation.

‘Our kids are being indoctrinated and this is being shoved in their face,’ Conner told Starnes. ‘It tells me they are pushing other religions and they want Christianity to take a back seat. They want our children to be tolerant of everything except Christianity.’

The blog DailyRollCall.com, initially reported that the children visited the Islamic Center of Nashville, a house of worship described as ‘one of the most radical mosques in Tennessee.’ Conservatives have criticized the center in the past, but it’s unclear exactly what the children learned on the trip. A call to the house of worship went unanswered.

But the visits aren’t the only controversial element worth noting.” Read more.

Someone who believes that the Muslim Brotherhood should be ruling Egypt and that Islam itself should rule the world has no business advising Homeland Security in any way, shape or form. Then again, the same is true for the Office of the President of the United States …

He was one of the speakers at a December 2004 conference in Dallas titled ‘A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary.’ The visionary in question was none other than the founding father of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ayatollah Khomeini.

When I questioned him about his appearance at such a conference, Elibiary claimed that he hadn’t known what kind of conference it was going to be, although he didn’t explain why he went ahead and appeared there anyway once he found out. Among those who found this explanation wanting was journalist Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News, whose skepticism angered Elibiary. The great moderate subsequently threatened Dreher, telling him: ‘Expect someone to put a banana in your exhaust pipe.’

Yet despite all this, Elibiary still got his appointment to the DHS Advisory Council, and has now been promoted. Mohamed Elibiary has risen as far as he has without ever being properly vetted because government and law enforcement officials, and the media, are so avid to find a moderate Muslim who will stand against Islamic jihad terrorism that they will accept virtually anyone’s claim to be just that, no questions asked.

Cherson and Molschky – “A careful plan has been acted out in the UK over the past six decades, which has gone into complete overdrive in the past 15-20 years, turning Britain from a harmonious society into a modern day ‘Babylon of Multiculturalism’.

There was never any mandate for a multicultural society, but we Brits are accustomed to the illusion of democracy now on all major issues. No debate on how this ‘diversity’ will affect the natives because our liberal-minded politicians ‘knew best,’ and now their dream of a multicultural utopia has turned into a nightmare. Politicians accept no accountability for their treacherous actions and what’s more, they simply do not care.

Multiculturalism has nothing to do with race, but is a vile, ruthless social engineering experiment aimed at undermining British culture. The liberals ‘became suspicious of the host majority culture and saw it as imperialistic, discriminatory and exclusive’ and wanted to change society. Now Brits are encouraged to promote other cultures instead of their own.

Multiculturalism encourages immigrants to form parallel communities based upon their homeland across Britain, which can be problematic due to a rise in crime, rape and violence. Britain also pays for its colonisation as David Solway states: ‘A financial burden to the nation, disproportionately swelling the welfare rolls; and, no less critical, many of these immigrant groups import the hatreds, prejudices and conflicts of their countries of origin, sequester themselves with official approval into closed or aggressive enclaves, and often cause violence and disruption in the public life of their new home.’

Liberals: The Enablers & Facilitators

Immigrants cannot solely be blamed because liberals, the useful idiots, the enablers and facilitators, encourage this to happen, then stifle criticism. ‘Liberal’ is defined as ‘open to new behaviour or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.’ That’s true, though I would replace the word ‘willing’ with ‘determined’!

Immigration has many issues, but especially troublesome is the importation of millions of Muslims which causes conflicting cultures, community division and ultimately violence. Islam indoctrinates Muslims that they are superior and should despise non-Muslims and non-Islamic culture, which causes most Muslims to segregate themselves and their lifestyles from the mainstream. The hatred and intolerance some Muslims have towards the host nation is intense, and it was a surprise when the liberal BBC sent a lefty reporter in to see what was happening in her hometown of Luton;  ‘My Hometown Fanatics: Stacey Dooley Investigates’. It’s quite an eye opening account of Dooley getting a nasty surprise as parts of the Bedfordshire town are now more Mecca than Luton.” Read more.
