Obama To Pressure Eurozone To Keep Greece In Until After US Presidential Election

By Oliver Wright, The Independent – “The Obama administration will pressure European governments not to let Greece fall out of the eurozone before November’s Presidential elections, British Government sources have suggested.
Representatives from the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank and the European Commission are due to arrive in Athens next month to assess Greece’s reform efforts.
They are expected to report in time for an 8 October meeting of eurozone finance ministers which will decide on whether to disburse Greece’s next €31bn aid tranche, promised under the terms of the bailout for the country.
American officials are understood to be worried that if they decide Greece has not done enough to meet its deficit targets and withhold the money, it would automatically trigger Greece’s exit from the eurozone weeks before the Presidential election on 6 November.
They are urging eurozone Governments to hold off from taking any drastic action before then – fearing that the resulting market destabilisation could damage President Obama’s re-election prospects.” Read more.

- Sent billions in aid to Pakistan only to see the funds diverted to Islamabad’s cold war with India.
If there’s any doubt the money didn’t buy loyalty, Pakistan also ambushed our troops in cross-border attacks and blocked U.S. access to critical military supply routes into Afghanistan.
The anti-American effrontery — which spans from North Africa to the Arabian Peninsula to Central and South Asia — is a broad repudiation of the president’s post-9/11 strategy. He thought retreating from the war on terror and apologizing for U.S. foreign policy would win the ‘hearts and minds’ of Muslims.

Bank Of England Deputy Governor Paul Tucker Warns Banks They Could Collapse ‘Before Christmas’

‘Gentlemen, you could all be out of business by Christmas,’ Mr Tucker said in a stark warning to the bank chiefs, according to three sources present at the meeting.
The revelation of Mr Tucker’s remarkable warning shows the depth of fear among senior officials over the havoc the collapse of the eurozone would wreak on the British financial system.
Mr Tucker is one of the front-runners to replace Sir Mervyn King as Governor of the Bank of England.
Minutes published by the Bank’s Financial Policy Committee in September and December made clear the depth of its concerns, but the explicit warning given to the chief executives shows that officials feared a crisis even greater than that in the wake of the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September 2008. The meeting led directly to the creation of working groups at banks to gauge the potential for a full-scale collapse of the financial system.” Read more.

These “schools” ought to be ashamed. But when even Germany, the very nation responsible for the memory of one of history’s most evil men, has willingly bowed down to the Father of Lies and chosen to protect the very ideology that inspired Hitler and the final solution, why should we then expect anything different from anybody else?
When the Prophet Daniel wrote in 7:25 that Antichrist would intend to “change” or “make alterations” to times and laws, it is clear in my mind that the “laws” were a direct reference to the desired implementation and subjugation of Sharia Law upon all non-Muslims, regardless of where they lived. But seeking to change the “times” may not have simply been referring to changing Greenwich Mean Time with Mecca Time or replacing the Gregorian calendar of Christianity with the Hijri calendar of Islam. In Scotland, 30 non-Muslim children from the Parkview Primary School recently were required to visit the Bait ur Rehman Ahmadiyya mosque in the Yorkhill district of Glasgow. At the mosque, the children were instructed to recite the shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith which states: ‘There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.’ Muslims are also demanding that Islamic preachers be sent to every school in Scotland to teach children about Islam, ostensibly in an effort to end negative attitudes about Muslims.
British schools are increasingly dropping the Jewish Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, according to a report entitled, Teaching Emotive and Controversial History, commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills.
British teachers are also reluctant to discuss the medieval Crusades, in which Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem: lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.
In an effort to counter ‘Islamophobia’ in British schools, teachers now are required to teach ‘key Muslim contributions such as Algebra and the number zero’ in math and science courses, even though the concept of zero originated in India.

Freshwater Fish In North America Going Extinct At An Alarming Rate
Terra Daily – ” North American freshwater fishes are going extinct at an alarming rate compared with other species, according to an article in the September issue of BioScience. The rate of extinctions increased noticeably after 1950, although it has leveled off in the past decade. The number of extinct species has grown by 25 percent since 1989.
The article, by Noel M. Burkhead of the US Geological Survey, examines North American freshwater fish extinctions from the end of the 19th Century to 2010, when there were 1213 species in the continent, or about 9 percent of the Earth’s freshwater fish diversity.
At least 57 North American species and subspecies, and 3 unique populations, have gone extinct since 1898, about 3.2 percent of the total. Freshwater species generally are known to suffer higher rates of extinction than terrestrial vertebrates.
Extinctions in fishes are mostly caused by loss of habitat and the introduction of nonindigenous species. In North America, there are more freshwater fish species in a typical drainage to the east of the Great Continental Divide than to the west, where a greater proportion of species have gone extinct or are found nowhere else.
Estimating the number of extinctions relies on scrutiny of historical records and careful estimation procedures, since the last populations of a species are often recognized as such only in hindsight-there is typically a lag of several years from the last observation of a species and its estimated year of extinction.
Estimates are complicated by the fact that, on average, 6.7 new species are discovered each year, and occasionally a species thought to have gone extinct is ‘rediscovered.’
Nonetheless, Burkhead concludes that between 53 and 86 species of North American freshwater fishes are likely to have gone extinct by 2050, and that the rate of extinction is now at least 877 times the background extinction rate over geological time.” Source – Terra Daily.
New Jersey: Pesticides Blamed After Dozens of Dead Birds Fall From The Sky Like ‘Something Out Of A Movie’
By Dan Stamm, NBC10 – “Residents in a Cumberland County community were left wondering Tuesday morning what caused dozens of birds to drop dead from the sky.
Residents along Peach Drive in Millville found at least 80 birds — many red-winged blackbirds — on the ground dead having fallen from trees and the sky. One neighbor even said he saw the birds falling out of the air.
‘Crazy — something out of a movie,’ said resident Michelle Cavalieri who saw the birds fall from the sky.
The birds caused a bloody mess on roadways in the residential neighborhood.
‘They’d get up and try and fly and they were out of control so they’d crash and fall again,’ said resident Jim Sinclair. ‘It was just strange.’
Animal control, public health officials and other emergency crews were on the scene later Tuesday morning collecting dead birds to try and figure out exactly what caused so many of them to die.” Read more.
Japan: Fukushima Radiation Causing Genetic Mutations In Multiple Generations Of Butterflies
By Shingo Ito, AFP – “Genetic mutations have been found in three generations of butterflies from near Japan’s crippled Fukushima nuclear plant, scientists said Tuesday, raising fears radiation could affect other species.
Around 12 percent of pale grass blue butterflies that were exposed to nuclear fallout as larvae immediately after the tsunami-sparked disaster had abnormalities, including smaller wings and damaged eyes, researchers said.
The insects were mated in a laboratory well outside the fallout zone and 18 percent of their offspring displayed similar problems, said Joji Otaki, associate professor at Ryukyu University in Okinawa, southwestern Japan.
That figure rose to 34 percent in the third generation of butterflies, he said, even though one parent from each coupling was from an unaffected population.
The researchers also collected another 240 butterflies in Fukushima in September last year, six months after the disaster. Abnormalities were recorded in 52 percent of their offspring, which was ‘a dominantly high ratio’, Otaki told AFP.
Otaki said the high ratio could result from both external and internal exposure to radiation, from the atmosphere and in contaminated foodstuffs…
Otaki later carried out a comparison test in Okinawa exposing unaffected butterflies to low levels of radiation, with the results showing similar rates of abnormality, he said.
‘We have reached the firm conclusion that radiation released from the Fukushima Daiichi plant damaged the genes of the butterflies,’ Otaki said…
Researchers and medical doctors have so far denied that the accident at Fukushima would cause an elevated incidence of cancer or leukaemia, diseases that are often associated with radiation exposure.
But they also noted that long-term medical examination is needed especially due to concerns over thyroid cancer among young people — a particular problem for people following the Chernobyl catastrophe.
‘There are a number of unknown factors surrounding the genetic impact of radiation,’ said Makoto Yamada, a medical doctor who examines Fukushima residents. ‘We still cannot 100 percent deny that the impact may come out in the future.'” Read more.
Israel: Authorities Suspect Wave Of Fires May Have Been Deliberate
Ynet – “Coastal District Police Commander Hagai Dotan has ordered the establishment of a special team to investigate the circumstances behind the recent fires that have hit Israel in the past week.
‘It is suspected we are experiencing a wave of nationalistically motivated arson fires,’ he said. ‘There is no intelligence to support the claim but from a national perspective a sequence of arson fires in Tivon, Jerusalem and Beit Shmesh cannot be coincidental.’
Earlier, firefighters gained control over a large fire that broke out between Kibbutz Shaar Haamakim and Kiryat Tivon.
Haifa Fire Services chief Arie Regev estimated the fire broke out as a result of arson, noting that a total of six fires were recorded in the area in the past week. ‘Six fires in the same place cannot be caused by negligence,’ he said. Police are saying that Thursday’s blazes are part of a wave of arson attacks.
Fire and Rescue Services commissioner Shahar Ayalon said there is no evidence to suggest that the recent fires were caused by arson. Nevertheless, he stated that there is suspicion of arson that warrants an investigation.
The fire reached some trees which caused several houses to catch fire. Residents and a nearby retirement home had beene evacuated. Twenty-seven crews worked to contain the flames together with dozens of Jewish National Fund and Nature and Parks Authority teams. Two aircraft assisted the extinguishing efforts.” Read more.

Already Muslim organizations are claiming a common cause with Sikhs in trying to turn this tragedy to their advantage, because Sikhs of this temple had been mistakenly threatened for being Muslims. Yet, when Muslims invaded India and murdered 80 million Indian natives, they had a special hatred and fear of the Sikhs (who were great warriors), and murdered them by the tens of thousands, culminating in Sikh holocaust of 1746, known as The Chhōṭā Ghallūghārā.
The Chhōṭā Ghallūghārā was a massacre of a significant proportion of the Sikh population by Muslims during the waning years of the Mughal Empire. Chhotaa Ghallooghaaraa is Punjabi for the ‘lesser massacre’. As such, it is distinguished from the Wadda Ghallooghaaraa (‘the great massacre’) of 1762. An estimated 7,000 Sikhs died in these attacks.
The Ghallooghaaraa were not pogroms in the sense of the killing of masses of defenseless people. Since the martyrdom of the fifth Sikh Master, Guru Arjun in 1606, Sikhs have known the use of arms and the need of self-defence. They are called Ghallooghaaraa, because of the wholesale slaughter of the innocent, with the intention of genocide. The first Chhotaa Ghallooghaaraa was a dramatic and bloody massacre during the campaign of Afghanistan‘s (Durrani Empire) provincial government based in Lahore to wipe out the Sikhs, an offensive that was started by the Mughals and lasted several decades.
This murderous enmity of Muslim against Sikhs has continued to this day with Muslim attacks against Sikhs in Europe, Pakistan, and India. Read more…
Italy: Standard And Poor’s Downgrades 15 Of Italy’s Largest Banks, Prime Minister Warns Of Eurozone Breakup

The credit ratings agency said today that Italy’s recession could potentially be deeper and more prolonged than previously thought.
It said problem assets are mounting and that many banks have reduced provisions for loan losses, making them more vulnerable.
The ratings of UniCredit SpA and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA were confirmed by S&P. Banca Carige SpA, Banca Popolare dell’Alto Adige and Unione di Banche Italiane, among others, also saw their ratings reduced.
S&P lowered its rating on 34 banks in February, citing the country’s financial vulnerability and expectations of lower earnings.
The move came as Italian prime minister Mario Monti gave an interview claiming that the nation needs moral support from Germany, but not its cash.
Mr Monti told German magazine Der Spiegel he was concerned about growing anti-euro, anti-German and anti-European Union sentiment in the parliament in Rome.” Read more.

As Truth About Fukushima Radiation Emerges, Japanese Authorities Struggle To Maintain Cover-Up
“(NaturalNews) The cat is out of the bag, as more evidence continues to emerge proving that clean-up workers at the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan deliberately covered up high radiation readings at the order of their superiors. And as more people become aware of this disturbing fact, Japanese authorities are trying to maintain the facade that the cover-up was an isolated incident, and that there was not a larger conspiracy to hide legitimate radiation readings from the public.
The Japanese news source Asahi Shimbun (AS) reports that a senior official working for Build-Up, a subcontractor hired during the Fukushima clean-up efforts, has admitted to instructing his workers to wear lead coverings over their dosimeters in order to shield accurate radiation readings. Dosimeters measure an individual’s exposure to radiation, and indicate when it is no longer safe to be in the presence of a radiation source.
Recordings uncovered from a December 2 conversation between the official and his employees reveals that he coaxed them to use the lead coverings by claiming that he had used them many times before without issue. He also apparently told them that they would have to use them in future clean-up efforts as well, and implied that they should get used to using them now.
According to AS, the senior official also came up with an alibi that the workers could use to explain the coverings, should anyone inquire about the unusual presence of tape on their torn radiation protection suits. All the bases were covered, in other words, which was enough to convince four of the workers to go along with the plan…
But now that the media has blown the lid off the story, the senior official in question is now claiming that the incident was isolated, and that he came up with it himself on the fly in order to protect him and his team from radiation. What? Even though this explanation makes absolutely no sense, as dosimeters cover up radiation readings, not the radiation itself, this is the story he is now telling, and the mainstream media appears to be buying it.” Read more.

India: Second India Blackout In Two Days Cuts Power To 670 Million
By Frank Jack Daniel – “(Reuters) – Grids supplying electricity to half of India’s 1.2 billion people collapsed on Tuesday, trapping coal miners, stranding train travellers and plunging hospitals into darkness in the second major blackout in as many days.
Stretching from Assam, near China, to the Himalayas and the northwestern deserts of Rajasthan, the outage was the worst to hit India in more than a decade and embarrassed the government, which has failed to build up enough power capacity to meet soaring demand.
‘Even before we could figure out the reason for yesterday’s failure, we had more grid failures today,’ said R. N. Nayak, chairman of the state-run Power Grid Corporation.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has vowed to fast-track stalled power and infrastructure projects as well as introduce free market reforms aimed at reviving India’s flagging economy. But he has drawn fire for dragging his feet.
By the afternoon rush-hour, only about 40 percent of power was back up. Electricity had not been restored to all of the sweltering capital, New Delhi, and streets were clogged with commuters trying to get home.
‘It’s certainly shameful. Power is a very basic amenity and situations like these should not occur,’ said Unnayan Amitabh, 19, an intern with HSBC bank in New Delhi, as he was giving up on the underground train system and flagging down an auto-rickshaw to get home.
‘They talk about big ticket reforms but can’t get something as essential as power supply right.’
Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde blamed the system collapse on some states drawing more than their share of electricity from the over-burdened grid.
Asia’s third-largest economy suffers a peak-hour power deficit of about 10 percent, dragging on economic growth.
‘This is the second day that something like this has happened. I’ve given instructions that whoever overdraws power will be punished,’ said Shinde, hours before he was promoted to interior minister in a cabinet reshuffle.
More than a dozen states with a population of 670 million people were without power.” Read more.
