John MacArthur Says America Is Under Divine Judgment
By Anugrah Kumar – “Evangelical preacher John MacArthur spoke at the 2011 Resolved Conference in Palm Springs, Calif., Saturday evening, saying America’s sins were akin to that of Israel’s and the nation was under divine judgment.
‘Materialism, drunkard pleasure seeking, arrogant conceit, defiant sinfulness, moral perversion, and corrupt leadership… Do you not see [them] in America?’ MacArthur asked a roughly 3,000-strong Christian audience at the four-day conference which began June 24.
The head pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif., MacArthur identified Israel’s six sins leading to six curses on that nation from Isaiah 5, saying those misdeeds were not isolated to Israel.
Author of more than 150 books, the evangelical leader said, ‘I look at America… people say what is wrong with this country. That is what’s wrong with this country. Right there. They have rejected the Word, the law of the Lord, the Holy One Himself.'” Read more.
Michio Kaku: ‘This Could be the World’s Record Holder for an Industrial Accident’
Physicist Michio Kaku on Fukushima: “If they have another aftershock … the accident could start all over again … In the last two weeks, everything we knew about that accident has been turned upside down. We were told three partial meltdowns, ‘don’t worry about it.’ Now we know it was 100% core-melt in all three reactors. ‘Radiation minimal that was released’. Now we know it was comparable to the radiation at Chernobyl. And as far as evacuation, ‘yeah 12 miles that’s it. You don’t have to evacuate beyond 12 miles.’ Now they find hot-spots. Four hot-spots outside the evacuation zone. 34,000 school children now have radiation badges when they go to school, down to 4 years of age! Could you imagine that, kindergarten kids with radiation badges going to school? So all the mythology of the accident has been turned upside down because utility has finally fessed up to how severe this accident really was…
We tried to reconstruct the accident in our computers given the feeble amount of information they gave us. We knew it was much more severe than they were saying because radiation was coming out left and right. So, in other words, they lied to us. They knew how much radiation was coming out. They knew the danger. They knew how much core melting was taking place, but they tried to put a ‘happy face’ on it…
As you know workers are being sent in and they’re getting like a year’s dose of radiation just within, like, 10 minutes at a time… [This will take] 50 to 100 years [to clean up]… cleanup hasn’t even started yet. They’re not in cold shutdown until next year…
This could be the grand-daddy of all industrial accidents … this could be the world’s record holder for an industrial accident … Realize that at Chernobyl, it was just one core’s worth of radiation causing a $200 billion accident, and it’s still ongoing. Here was have 20 core’s worth of radiation — 3 totally melted, one damaged, and the rest in spent fuel ponds…”
Canadian Government, Companies, Universities All Refuse to Conduct Radiation Tests Despite Concerns
By Stephanie Stein – “In the June 2 edition of, The Beacon, it was discussed how the release of radiation from the Fukushima plant in Japan could potentially be poisoning Canadian soil, and possibly central Newfoundland. Evidence from various radiation monitors and news reports have shown that it has become a worldwide issue, and given that the airspace is shared, Canada and the U.S. have been directly affected as well…
Even though central Newfoundland is considered safe, reports by numerous media establishments have shown that radiation saturation has doubled recently. According to a CNN report, Arnie Gundersen, Chief Nuclear Engineer, said hot particles are showing up in North America. The radiation, he explained, emits a big cloud of gases, which can be measured with the Geiger counter. Nuclear engineers have also been finding hot particles or fuel fleas, which can cause cancer around the world. In Tokyo in April, measurements indicated that there are about 10 hot particles a day, which is a high level of concern in what a normal person would breathe. In Seattle, for instance, it went down to about five hot particles a day, which can lodge into lung tissue, the digestive tract or bone, and over time can cause cancer. As a safeguard, it has been strongly advised by Mr. Gundersen to wash all fruits and vegetables before consuming them.” Read more.
Fukushima is the greatest nuclear and environmental disaster in human history – “To give one an example of how lethal radiation is, one pound of plutonium evenly distributed into everyone’s lungs would kill every man, woman and child on Earth. There are literally ‘tons’ of radioactive plutonium (among other radioactive elements) that have been released into the air and ocean environments since March 11th. Another critical fact to remember is that radioactive plutonium, for example, remains lethal (killing life) for thousands years as it has a half-life of 24,000 years. Some other radioactive elements such as uranium have a half-life of 4.47 billion years.” Read more.
Fukushima is the Greatest Nuclear and Environmental Disaster in Human History
By Steven C. Jones – “By way of comparison, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster that occured in 1986 in the Ukraine, Russia- heretofore the worst nuclear disaster on record- burned for 10 days and cumulatively killed an estimated 1 million people worldwide. The Fukushima, Japan nuclear disaster has 5 nuclear reactors burning, 2 in partial meltdown and 3 in full meltdown- and they’ve ALL been uncontrollably burning since March 11th. Its been over 3 months and this nuclear disaster remains completely out of control. In fact, some industry estimates cite the possibility that these meltdowns will be contained (optimistically) in 1-3 years, at the very earliest.
The amount and intensity of the radioactive fallout from this particular nuclear disaster will assuredly kill hundreds of millions of people worldwide over time. Japan itself is, of course, the epicenter of this radioactive contamination that has spread out from these reactors.
However, the Korean peninsula, China and nations immediately surrounding the Japanese archipelago will also bear the brunt of a significant amount of radioactive fallout from this disaster. Immediately downwind of this radioactive release, though, is the United States of America and the entire northern hemisphere, comprising the majority of the world’s industrialized nations on Earth. Significant amounts of plutonium, strontium, cesium, uranium and a whole plethora of other highly radioactive particles have already fallen on the continental land mass of the USA and have already entered the food chains and water tables of the nation.” Read more.
Tokyo area parents’ radiation worries grow with discovery of local ‘hotspots’ – “More than three months after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the meltdowns at the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant, Tokyo region residents are becoming increasingly worried over radiation exposure as a number of radioactive ‘hotspots’ have been discovered in and around the capital.” Read more.
US: Doctors Say 35% Spike in Infant Mortality in Northwest Cities Since Meltdown May Be the Result of Fukushima Fallout
“As I’ve previously noted, infants are much more vulnerable to radiation than adults. And see this.
However, radiation safety standards are set based on the assumption that everyone exposed is a healthy man in his 20s.
Now, a physician (Janette D. Sherman, M. D.) and epidemiologist (Joseph Mangano) have penned a short but horrifying essay asking whether a spike in infant deaths in the Northwest are due to Fukushima” Read more.
Tokyo Paper: What’s happening to children outside of Fukushima exclusion zone? – “Tokyo Shinbun (paper edition only, 6/16/2011) reports that many children in Koriyama City in Fukushima Prefecture, 50 kilometers from Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, are suffering inexplicable nosebleed, diarrhea, and lack of energy since the nuke plant accident.” Read more.
And it’s not just the Northwest. Questions are even being raised in the Northeast …

Japan: Major Newspaper Questions TEPCO’s Ability to Overcome the Mountain of Problems Still Remaining at Fukushima
“One cannot help but wonder how far efforts being made by the national government and Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) to bring the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant under control have progressed.
Two months have passed since TEPCO first unveiled a roadmap for bringing the crippled plant under control, but various problems that have occurred since then show the roadmap was overly optimistic.
Uncertainty over the current state of the power plant and when it could be brought under control continues to disrupt the lives of locals. Many people probably wonder whether the wisdom and power of Japan and the rest of the world are effectively being brought together and applied in the ongoing efforts at the plant.” Read more.
Elevated radiation levels widespread in eastern Japan – “Unsafe levels of radioactive contamination have been reported from multiple sources throughout vast areas of eastern Japan in locations far away from the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Science Magazine cites data from the prefectural government of Iwate revealing radioactive cesium has traveled over 100 miles away from Fukushima. Pastoral grasses are contaminated beyond safety standards.” Read more.
China: The Sea and Waves Continue to Roar While ‘No One Else is Listening’
By Eunice Yoon – “Xintang, China (CNN) — The authorities here are obviously nervous. My crew and I are sitting in a local government building being questioned by six propaganda officials.
One of them is scribbling down our credentials in a worn pocket-sized notebook. My producer, Steven Jiang, is talking non-stop to one officer who looks especially nonplussed.
We traveled to the manufacturing town of Xintang to investigate why thousands of migrant workers suddenly took to the streets just a week ago.
We knew the unrest was triggered by what appeared to be a minor event — a pregnant migrant worker and her husband got in a scuffle with city officials and she ended up falling on the ground.
However, the ferocity by which this dispute exploded in a massive conflagration, pitting thousands of enraged workers against hundreds of riot police, took many by surprise.” Read more.
‘Far Worse Than a Core Meltdown’: Nuclear Fuel has Melted Through Base of Fukushima Plant
By Julian Ryall – “The findings of the report, which has been given to the International Atomic Energy Agency, were revealed by the Yomiuri newspaper, which described a ‘melt-through’ as being ‘far worse than a core meltdown’ and ‘the worst possibility in a nuclear accident.’
A spokesman for Tokyo Electric Power Co. said the company is presently revising the road-map for bringing the plant under control, including the time required to achieve cold shutdown of the reactors.
In a best-case scenario, the company says it will be able to achieve that by October, although that may have to be revised in light of the report.
Water that was pumped into the pressure vessels to cool the fuel rods, becoming highly radioactive in the process, has been confirmed to have leaked out of the containment vessels and outside the buildings that house the reactors.
Tepco said it is trying to contain the contaminated water and prevent it from leaking into the sea, but elevated levels of radiation have been confirmed in the ocean off the plant.” Read more.
March 29 Flashback: When The Fukushima Meltdown Hits Groundwater – “Fukushima is going to dwarf Chenobyl. The Japanese government has had a level 7 nuclear disaster going for almost a week but won’t admit it.
The disaster is occurring the opposite way than Chernobyl, which exploded and stopped the reaction. At Fukushima, the reactions are getting worse. I suspect three nuclear piles are in meltdown and we will probably get some of it.
If reactor 3 is in meltdown, the concrete under the containment looks like lava. But Fukushima is not far off the water table. When that molten mass of self-sustaining nuclear material gets to the water table it won’t simply cool down. It will explode not a nuclear explosion, but probably enough to involve the rest of the reactors and fuel rods at the facility.” Read more.
US Is Nearing Even Worse Financial Crisis
By Margo D. Beller – “The U.S. is approaching a financial crisis worse than 2008, Jim Rogers, chief executive, Rogers Holdings, warned CNBC Wednesday.
‘The debts that are in this country are skyrocketing,’ he said. ‘In the last three years the government has spent staggering amounts of money and the Federal Reserve is taking on staggering amounts of debt.
‘When the problems arise next time … what are they going to do? They can’t quadruple the debt again. They cannot print that much more money. It’s gonna be worse the next time around.'” Read more.
Worries grow that U.S. could default on debt – “The possibility that the United States could default on its debt — if only for a few days — is starting to alarm the global community even as the idea gains favour among Republicans as a way to force Washington to cut runaway spending. Fitch Ratings agency warned Wednesday that U.S. treasury bonds, seen worldwide as a risk-free investment, could be labelled ‘junk’ if the government misses debt payments by Aug. 15.” Read more.
Hundreds of Dead Fish Found in Pavana River, India
“PUNE: Hundreds of dead fish were found floating in the Pavana river near Ravet and other areas on Tuesday morning causing concern among local residents.
The Maharashtra pollution control board (MPCB) has taken samples of the water and fish from four spots in the river and sent them for testing, said H D Gandhe, deputy regional officer, MPCB.
Ganesh Bhondwe, Nationalist Congress Party corporator from Punawale village, said, ‘Some children from our village had gone for a bath around 6 am and found the dead fish in the Pavana river near Mayekar vasti. Also, there was a copper coloured layer floating on the river water. We suspect that some chemical was mixed in the water causing the death of the fish.'” Read more.
A First in History: The Coming Simultaneous European Banking Collapse
By Toni Straka – “Watching international financial policy persisting on a concept to fight debt with more debt in an environment where official GDP growth rates only remain positive because of ridiculously low deflators, while interest rates apart from those central bank help for banks via laughingly low interest rates begin to surge everywhere else, this observer begins to wonder if one can expect anything else than a fast-rolling, simultaneous European banking collapse.
Engulfed in more exponentially rising debt on public and private levels than ever before there simply cannot be another end of the longest growth cycle in history than a simultaneous collapse of international banking when lending freezes up due to fears about the real creditworthiness of the respective counter party.
Globalization will have made it possible.
Bank Reserve Requirements: EU 2% – China 21%
The rise of supra-regional financial institutions that have evolved from two decades of radical deregulation of financial markets and are now too big to fail overshadows all major industrial nations as it has given birth to unprecedented bulks risks never seen before. The situation gets aggravated by the fact that banks have never held more derivatives than nowadays.” Read more.
Official: 3 Nuclear Reactors Melted Down After Quake, Japan Confirms
“Tokyo (CNN) — Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant experienced full meltdowns at three reactors in the wake of an earthquake and tsunami in March, the country’s Nuclear Emergency Response Headquarters said Monday.
The nuclear group’s new evaluation, released Monday, goes further than previous statements in describing the extent of the damage caused by an earthquake and tsunami on March 11.
The announcement will not change plans for how to stabilize the Fukushima Daiichi plant, the agency said.
Reactors 1, 2 and 3 experienced a full meltdown, it said.
The plant’s owner, Tokyo Electric Power Co., admitted last month that nuclear fuel rods in reactors 2 and 3 probably melted during the first week of the nuclear crisis.
It had already said fuel rods at the heart of reactor No. 1 melted almost completely in the first 16 hours after the disaster struck. The remnants of that core are now sitting in the bottom of the reactor pressure vessel at the heart of the unit and that vessel is now believed to be leaking.” Read more.
Nuclear Engineer: Seattle Residents Breathed Ten ‘Hot’ Particles A Day – “Well, I am in touch with some scientists now who have been monitoring the air on the West Coast and in Seattle for instance, in April, the average person in Seattle breathed in 10 hot particles a day… The average human being breathes about 10 meters a day of air, cubic meters of air. And the air out in the Seattle area are detecting, when they pull 10 cubic meters through them, this is in April now, so we are in the end of May so it is a better situation now. That air filter will have 10 hot particles on it. And that was before the Unit Four issue. Clearly we all can’t run south of the equator to our second homes in Rio or something like that. But it will stay north of the equator for anyone who has a Leer jet and can get out. But I guess what I am advising at that point is keep your windows closed. I would definitely wear some sort of a filter if I was outside. I certainly wouldn’t run and exercise until I was sure the plume had dissipated. This isn’t now. This is, as you were saying, this is worst case.” Read more.
