Sen. Rand Paul Shames Media For Ignoring Islam’s ‘Worldwide War On Christianity’

Senator Rand Paul noted in a speech today at the Values Voter Summit that “Pew Research did a poll and it indicated that 21% of Egyptians, 15% of Jordanians … 13% of Pakistani Muslims find terrorism acceptable, if not laudable… [I]f you add up the numbers in just three countries it’s over 40 million Muslims [who] sympathize with violence against Christians. This shouldn’t be understated.” And indeed, if between just 10% and 13% of Muslims all across the Muslim world are devoted enough to their “prophet” and to Islam, that’s about 200 million antichrist soldiers ready to raise the banner of jihad for the cause of “Allah” and his “prophet” against a world of non-Muslims. Where have we heard that number before? …

Revelation 6:8, “And I looked, and behold a [chlōros – green] horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the [thērion – savage, brutal, bestial men] of the earth…”

Sen. Paul went on to describe how “[President Obama is] now arming Islamic rebels who are allied with Al Qaeda who attacked us on 9/11. Does that make any sense at all? American tax dollars should never be spent to prop up a war on Christianity, but that’s what’s happening now across the globe …” 

Qur’an Sura 8:39, “And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. The Daily Caller – “Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul spent Friday morning telling stories to conservatives about the persecution of Christians across the world.

‘Today I want to tell you about a war the mainstream media is ignoring,’ the Republican lawmaker said Friday during the Values Voter Summit in Washington. ‘From Boston to Zanzibar, there is a worldwide war on Christianity.’

‘You won’t hear much about it on the evening news because the answer is not convenient and does not fit the narrative we have been told about radical Islam,’ Paul added.

Paul also said President Obama ‘tries to gloss over who is attacking and killing Christians.’

‘But the truth is, there is a worldwide war on Christians by a fanatical element of Islam,’ Paul said.

‘Ever since 9/11, commentators have tried to avoid pointing fingers at Islam,’ he said. ‘While it is fair to point out that most Muslims are not committed to violence against Christians, this is not the whole truth and we should not let political correctness stand in the way of the truth.’

Examples referenced by Paul:

  • Referencing an incident in Syria, Paul spoke of Islamic rebels storming into town and demanding everyone convert to Islam or die. ‘Sarkis el Zakhm stood up and answered them, ‘I am a Christian and if you want to kill me because I am a Christian, do it.’ Those were Sarkis last words.’
  • ‘Elsewhere in Syria, Islamic rebels have filmed beheadings of their captives and celebrated by eating the heart of an enemy soldier,’ Paul said. ‘Two Christian bishops have been kidnapped and one priest recently killed.’
  • ‘In Zanzibar, a priest was shot in the head on his way to church by two Muslim youths,’ Paul said. :A message by the Muslim Renewal said, ‘We thank our young men, trained in Somalia, for killing an infidel. Many more will die. We will burn homes and churches. We have not finished: at Easter, be prepared for disaster.’’

Amnesty International: Egypt Is Failing To Stop Revenge Attacks On Coptic Christians

ENCA – “Egyptian security forces failed to stop revenge attacks against Coptic Christians after a deadly crackdown on supporters of ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in August, Amnesty International said on Wednesday.

The London-based rights group said attacks targeted Christian churches, schools and charity buildings after the August 14 dispersal by security forces of two pro-Morsi camps in Cairo that killed hundreds of people.

In a report, Amnesty said more than 200 Christian-owned properties were attacked and 43 churches seriously damaged, adding that at least four people were killed.

‘It is deeply disturbing that the Christian community across Egypt was singled out for revenge attacks over the events in Cairo by some supporters of the deposed president, Mohamed Morsi,’ said Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Amnesty’s Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

‘In light of previous attacks, particularly since Morsi’s ousting on 3 July, a backlash against Coptic Christians should have been anticipated, yet security forces failed to prevent attacks or intervene to put an end to the violence.’

Morsi was Egypt’s first democratically elected president, but his divisive single year in office ended abruptly when the army overthrew him with the support of millions of Egyptians.

Islamists accuse Coptic Christians of backing the military that toppled Morsi, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood.

This perception was fuelled by the appearance on television of Coptic Pope Tawadros II alongside army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi when he announced Morsi’s dismissal.

Copts make up six to 10% of Egypt’s 85-million-strong population, and have long complained of discrimination and marginalisation, particularly under Morsi.

Amnesty said that in several cases men armed with guns, metal bars and knives ransacked churches and Christian properties, many chanting slogans such as “God is Great! and using derogatory terms like ‘Christian dogs’.

It said historical and religious relics were desecrated, and graffiti scrawled on walls included slogans such as ‘Morsi is my president’ and ‘They killed our brothers during prayer’.

‘Given the fact that these attacks were in retaliation for the crackdown on pro-Morsi sit-ins, the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood said too little too late, and laid the blame on ‘thugs’ distancing their supporters from the attacks,’ Hadj Sahraoui said.

Amnesty also said the body of a 60-year-old Coptic Christian shot dead at his home in the central town of Delga was dragged through the streets behind a tractor, and that after he had been buried his grave was dug up twice.

Attacks by Islamists on three churches and a monastery in Delga have shattered its Christian community, a reporter who visited the town said.” Read more.

Pay particularly close attention to how the Muslim “scholar” in the video below berates Jews as “culturally evil” by falsely accusing them of doing the very thing that he and other Islamists like him are guilty of on a daily basis …

Kuwaiti scholar Muhanna Hamad Al-Muhanna, Al-Rai TV (Kuwait), 9/30/2013: “First of all, as a Muslim, I believe that (the Jews) are evil. It is not that evil is in their genes, but that their cultural education is based upon the Talmud, which derides the goyim, or ‘the others.’ For them, even God is racist. Yahweh is the god of the Israelites alone. The word Elohim is barely mentioned, and Yahweh belongs to the Jews alone. Racism became part and parcel of this religion, or this people. The Jews became a separate people with its own religion… What is remarkable is that, secular or not, the Jews are racist…”

Mr. Al-Muhanna must have forgotten to actually study the Old Testament. In Jeremiah 32:27a Yahweh says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh ….” The Hebrew word for “flesh” is “basar” (H1320) meaning “all people” or “all mankind” and from the very beginning demonstrates His unconditional love for humanity by including all nations in His plan of salvation (Gen 12:1-3; Ephs 3:5-6; Rom 5:8) regardless of race (John 3:16). Setting Israel apart as a beacon of light to the nations (Isa 42:6) in no way makes the God of Israel a “racist” God, evidenced by the insistence of Old Testament law that once a foreigner attained legal immigrant status in Israel they were to be treated like a native born Hebrew (cf. Ex 14:49; Lev 18:26), enjoying legal protection, social benefits and religious inclusion, hardly something that one would expect from a God who was “racist.” In the teachings of Islam, however, “Allah” does not love those who do wrong (Sura 3:57). “Allah” does not love those who waste food or drink (Sura 7:31). “Allah” does not love non-Muslims (Sura 2:276) and, in fact, considers all of them “vile animals” (Sura 8:55), among other things. It is quite apparent that the god if Islam is only the god of Muslims whose love is completely conditional. And we haven’t even begun to discuss the prevalent sexism in Islam or the fact that “Allah” prefers the Arab race over others according to the Hadith …

According to some scholars, including Prof. Norman Cohn in his noted book, Warrant for Genocide, the world-control myth was actually lifted from a 19th century French politcal satire in which the alleged plotters weren’t even Jewish” …

This despite the fact that the FBI recently ran essentially the same ad, and Seattle officials had no problem with it. It was not they, but the FBI, who took it down after Islamic supremacists and Leftist politicans complained.

So now CNN has published an article entitled, ‘Who are the world’s 10 most dangerous terrorists?,’ by Tim Lister, October 10. The ten are Ayman al-Zawahiri, Nasir al Wuhayshi, Ibrahim al-Asiri, Ahmed Abdi Godane, Moktar Belmoktar, Abu Muhammad al-Julani, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Sirajuddin Haqqani, Abubakar Shekau, and Doku Umarov — all Muslims.

Has CNN then succumbed to ‘Islamophobia’? Will Hamas-linked CAIR denounce the network as ‘Islamophobic’ and include a defamatory description of it in its next ‘Islamophobia’ report? Will there be demands to stop reporting on the most wanted terrorists because doing so is ‘demeaning’ to Muslims?

Barack Hussein Obama: The Muslim Brotherhood President

By Robert Spencer, Frontpage Mag – “The State Department announced Wednesday that it was cutting hundreds of millions in military and other aid to Egypt, and make no mistake: this was not a government shutdown move. This was the President of the United States blackmailing a sovereign state to force it to restore the Muslim Brotherhood government he favors. With the Egyptian economy in crisis and Egypt strongly dependent on this aid, Obama has just effectively cast his vote for the Muslim Brotherhood’s return to power – and his vote outweighs that of millions of Egyptians.

This comes as the Brotherhood is becoming increasingly violent in Egypt, belying its ‘moderate’ reputation. The New York Times reported Tuesday that ‘three brazen attacks across the country included a drive-by shooting near the Suez Canal that killed six soldiers, a car bomb that killed three police officers and wounded dozens near the Red Sea resorts area, and the first rocket-propelled grenade launched in the struggle, exploding near an elite enclave of the capital and damaging a satellite transmitter.’

Obama has said nothing about this. Nor has he said anything about the recent attempt by Muslim Brotherhood supporters to assassinate Bishop Makarios of Upper Egypt’s Minya governorate, where Brotherhood men have burned churches and terrorized Christians, scapegoating them for the toppling of the Muslim Brotherhood regime. Indeed, Christians have been scapegoated and brutalized all over Egypt at the hands of supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This persecution has had a decidedly Islamic cast: Asia News reported on September 13 that ‘the Muslim Brotherhood have turned an evangelical Protestant church in Monshaat Baddini in the province of Samalout (Minya, Upper Egypt) into a mosque. According to local sources, the Islamists have removed all sacred furnishings, paintings, icons and recited the special prayer to consecrate the building to Allah. On the wall of the church an inscription reads: ‘mosque of martyrs and there is no other God but Allah.’’

And AINA reported on the same day that ‘two Coptic Christians government employees were shot dead yesterday for refusing to pay Jizya, the Muslim poll tax on Christians. Emad Damian, 50, and his cousin Medhat Damian, 37, from the village of Sahel Selim in Assuit Province, were contacted two days before their murder by the leader of a Muslim gang, who was identified by Watany Coptic Newspaper as Ashraf Ahmed Mohammed Khalajah, a registered criminal from the village.’ …

Yet while warning the Burmese government to stop persecuting that nation’s Muslims, Obama has said little about the escalating persecution of Christians in Egypt – a persecution that is being carried out by people who want to see the Muslim Brotherhood in power there.” Read more.

By Soeren Kern, Gatestone Institute – “From Britain to Greece, and Spain to Slovenia, Muslim immigration and the accompanying rise of Islam are transforming the European way of life in ways unimaginable only a few years ago. What follows is a brief survey of 20 noteworthy stories involving Islam in Europe during just the month of September 2013.

In Britain, the Department of Education revealed that is recruiting former agents of the British secret service, MI5, to investigate the alleged infiltration of British schools by Islamic extremists. The agents will form part of a new counter-extremism unit, established to investigate schools in which radical activity has been suspected. Speaking to the Sunday Times on September 29, Education Secretary Michael Gove said some schools are being ‘taken over’ by Muslim hardliners in the hope of radicalizing pupils and staff. He also said he was determined to ‘weed out’ schools whose practices do not conform to British values.

A survey published by the BBC on September 25 revealed that more than a quarter of young British people distrust Muslims and feel Britain would be better off if there were fewer of them in the country. Of the 1,000 young people questioned in the survey conducted by ComRes, a leading market research agency, 27% of 18-to-24-year-olds said they did not trust Muslims, while 28% said Britain would be better off with fewer Muslims. It also emerged that 60% thought the British public had a negative image of Muslims, and 44% said Muslims do not have the same values as the rest of the population.

A separate survey published by Lord Ashcroft Polls on September 1, showed that six in ten Britons thought immigration had produced more disadvantages than advantages for their country; only 17% thought the pros outweighed the cons. The biggest concerns were about migrants claiming benefits or using public services without having contributed in return.

Elsewhere in Britain, a judge on September 16 ordered a Muslim defendant to take off her full-face veil to give evidence in court. But — in a case that made legal history — he said the woman could retain the veil for all other parts of her trial. Judge Peter Murphy said the court should recognize ‘freedom of religious expression,’ but that allowing her to retain the niqab during her evidence, as she wanted, would ‘drive a coach and horses through justice administered in England and Wales for centuries.’ Murphy said ‘the niqab has become the elephant in the courtroom’ and there was widespread anxiety among judges over how to tackle the issue. He added that he hoped ‘Parliament or a higher court will provide a definite answer to the issue soon;’ and that ‘If judges in different cases in different places took differing approaches [to the niqab] the result would be judicial anarchy.’

Muslim Convert To Christianity Prays For The Men Stoning Him

Charisma News – “In a country that stresses religious freedom, it is often difficult for Americans to understand what it means to live and die for faith. Global Advance reports about Pastor Ibrahím, a man who knows firsthand the dangers of pursuing God.

Ibrahím lives in a community of radical Muslims. His country, unnamed for security reasons, is one of the ‘-stan’ nations, all of which are Islamic countries in which the persecution of Christians is not uncommon. The region, in general, is charged with violence.

When Ibrahím converted to Christianity, his Muslim friends decided it was necessary to kill him. It was their ‘sacred duty’ to stop the spread of Christianity, and this was the way to do it.

His friends informed him he could say goodbye to his wife before they stoned him. Ibrahím chose to keep the situation from his wife and told her he would be right back. He did not want to risk her life or alarm her.

The friends took the new Christian to the local dump. There they began beating him. One man picked up a large rock to complete the act of murder by hitting Ibrahím in the head. At this, Ibrahím launched aloud into prayer for his abusers and their children.

His prayer was not in vain.

Sharia In Action In France: Journalist Faces Criminal Trial For Questioning Islam During Radio Debate

By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch – “‘The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,’ said Barack Obama, and judging by how those who tell the truth about Islam and jihad are smeared, demonized and marginalized in the U.S. today, it won’t be much longer before trials of this kind come to the U.S. as well.

‘French journalist is prosecuted under 19th century press law for questioning Islam during a radio debate,’ by Peter Allen in the Daily Mail, October 9:

A French journalist is facing a criminal trial under the country’s strict press laws for remarks made during a radio debate about the influence of Islam.Ivan Rioufol, 61, believes the way he is being treated is an example of how writers are criminalised when the state is able to control the media.

He was summoned to court under strict press laws which date back to the 19th Century following a complaint from a pressure group called the Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF).

‘In seeking to undermine liberty of expression, a sacred principle of our civilisation, the Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF) takes the risk of appearing like a menace to democracy,’ said Mr Rioufol.

‘This is essentially what I hope to be able to explain in court, because I will have to appear in a few months before the 17th Criminal Court in Paris.’

Mr Rioufol, who has written for Le Figaro newspaper for almost 28 years, made some allegedly defamatory remarks on November 15th 2012 during an RTL radio programme called ‘We Reshape the World.’

Mr Rioufol particularly objected to a CCIF poster campaign which showed pictures of predominantly bearded and veiled Muslims under the slogan ‘We are the Nation’.

The journalist said that this was against the spirit of France’s inclusive, secular republic – something which CCIF objected to.

Mr Rioufol said that France’s 1881 Press Law was being used to ‘penalise criticism, intimidate journalists, censor the media’ and even ‘to reintroduce the offence of blasphemy’.

The 1881 law was nominally meant to guarantee the ‘freedom of the press’ but in fact criminalised a range of journalistic behaviour.

So called ‘press offenses’ ranged from insulting the President of France, to defaming private citizens through comment.

Mr Rioufol said about the case’s first hearing: ‘The judge reminded me that he himself had no opportunity to verify the existence of the alleged offense, the procedure – Press Law 1881 – leading automatically to court, where the case will be considered on its merits.’

Mr Rioufol said the law was ‘easily manipulated’ by those who wanted to persecute journalists.

A spokesman for CCIF said it had a duty to challenge ‘Islamophobia’ and the press laws were a logical way of challenging journalism it objected to.

‘Mr Rioufol will in court seek to prove that his words were true – one of the defences against defamation.’

Canada: Toronto Probes Publicly-Funded Mosque Mural Promoting Holy War Against Non-Muslims

In Canada, a Muslim cleric in Montreal promotes Sharia law amputations and death sentences for criminals and adulterers. The authorities do nothing. Another cleric in Brampton teaches that homosexuals should be stoned to death. The authorities do nothing. In Toronto, a Muslim school teaches children to hate Jews while an Islamic bookstore sells material that encourages wife-beatings and a “street-preaching” convert to Islam demands that all non-Muslim women wear burkas, head scarves and face veils, or risk being raped. And still, the authorities do nothing. Since governments all throughout the Western world have the backbone of a jellyfish, this mural will likely stay for “multicultural” purposes or because it didn’t break any law. Unfortunately, the real lesson that ends up being learned by the Muslim community is that political correctness and our lily-livered laws are allowing them to slowly, but surely, subdue civilized societies which, incidentally, is precisely what at least one Islamic bookstore in Scarborough teaches Muslims they must do: “destroy all States and Governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and programme of Islam regardless of the country or the Nation that rules it” because “Islam requires the earth – not just a portion – but the whole planet.” And while Islam slowly chips away at the fabric of civilized society, the authorities, well, they’ll continue to do absolutely nothing …

The city-funded piece of art on the wall of a building housing the Al-Tawakal mosque on Gerrard St. E., near Greenwood Ave., incorporates a verse from the Qur’an, which is written in Arabic and scrawled in modern, urban-style graffiti.

Critics charge it is a jihadist battle-cry against the West — an assertion disputed by the artist and at least two Toronto academics.

‘City staff are currently investigating the concerns raised about this mural,’ city spokesman Lynne Kyle said in an e-mail, adding ‘there was an extensive amount of community consultation that went into the design of the mural and there were no issues raised at that time.’

Taken from a chapter of the Muslim holy book, it is a verse that talks of Allah’s blessing and an Islamic victory of some kind being close at hand.

Salim Ahmad, a member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, has launched a petition calling on Toronto Mayor Rob Ford to remove the contentious image.

The Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre (RIWC), located just west of the mosque, applied for a grant and was awarded $17,000 in 2012 for mural projects under a city art program.

Laury Silvers, a part-time professor of Islamic studies at University of Toronto, said the mural’s message has been blown out of proportion.

By Geert Wilders, No Compulsion – “‘A specter is haunting Europe – the specter of Communism,’ Karl Marx once famously wrote. It took Europe almost a century to liberate itself from this scourge. Today, another specter is haunting not just Europe, but the entire world – the specter of Islam.

The biggest danger confronting the West today is not the economic situation, nor is it youth unemployment, nor the dire budget situation of our governments; the biggest danger is one of which we are reminded on an almost daily basis. And, yet, many politicians seem to fail to notice.

On the last day of September, 50 students of an agricultural college in Nigeria were gunned down in their dormitories by terrorists from the Islamic organization Boko Haram. Earlier in September, terrorists from the Islamic organization al-Shabaab killed at least 67 civilians, and probably many more, in a shopping mall in Nairobi. They separated Muslims from non-Muslims, allowed the Muslims to leave and then tortured, mutilated and killed the non-Muslims. Even children were murdered in the most vicious and cruel way.

In Egypt, every week dozens of Christians are being harassed, kidnapped and assassinated by Islamic thugs from the Muslim Brotherhood. In Syria, Islamic rebels terrorize and murder Christians. In Lebanon and in Iraq, too, indigenous Christian communities whose ties to their native lands are many centuries older than those of the Muslim communities, are victims of ethnic cleansing.

Even in the West, we are not immune to Islamic terror. Europe experienced this last May, when two assassins with meat-cleavers decapitated a soldier in London. America experienced it last April, when Islamic murderers ignited pressure cooker bombs during the Boston Marathon and killed 3 people and injured hundreds.

Like the specter of Communism in the past, the danger of Islam is political. Islam is mainly a political ideology because its aim is political. What the London and Boston killers, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda and other individuals and groups, causing pain and misery all over the globe, have in common is that, inspired by the Koran, they want to impose Islamic sharia law on the whole world.

They share this goal with an organization that is being held in the highest esteem by Western governments: the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The OIC counts 57 member-states and forms the largest voting bloc in the United Nations. By John L Allen Jr, CH – “Back in 1997, American author Paul Marshall said that anti-Christian persecution had been ‘all but totally ignored by the world at large’. To be sure, the situation has changed in the 16 years since Marshall’s classic work Their Blood Cries Out. A cluster of advocacy groups and relief organisations has emerged, and from time to time anti-Christian persecution has drawn coverage in major news outlets such as the Economist, Newsweek and Commentary. On the whole, however, the war on Christians remains the world’s best-kept secret. In 2011, the Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, addressed the crisis facing Arab Christianity in the Middle East during a conference in London. He bluntly asked: ‘Does anybody hear our cry? How many atrocities must we endure before somebody, somewhere, comes to our aid?’ Those are questions that deserve answers, and understanding the motives for the silence about the global war on Christians is a good place to begin.

In the secular milieu, several factors intersect to explain the relative indifference toward the global persecution of Christians. First is the basic point that some secularists have little personal experience of religion and can be strikingly ignorant on religious subjects. There’s also a reflexive hostility to institutional religion, especially Christianity, in some sectors of secular opinion. People conditioned by such views are inclined to see Christianity as the agent of repression, not its victim. Say ‘religious persecution,’ and the images that come to mind are the Crusades, the Inquisition, the wars of religion, Bruno and Savonarola, the Salem witch trials – all chapters of history in which Christianity is cast as the villain. For many such folks today, ‘Christianity’ means an all-male gerontocracy in Rome cracking down on progressive American nuns, or intemperate Evangelicals seeking to restrict a woman’s ‘right to choose’ or a gay’s right to marry.

Victims of the global war on Christians challenge this narrative head-on, because they show Christianity not as the oppressor but as the oppressed. By 2012, almost two thirds of the 2.2 billion Christians in the world lived outside of the West, and that share should reach three quarters by mid-century.” Read more.
