Muslim Persecution Of Christians: April, 2013

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “Before Egypt’s President Muhammad Morsi was ousted, April was one of the worst months for Christian Copts there. On April 5 near Cairo, when a longstanding feud between a Christian family and a Muslim family—based on male Muslims sexually harassing Christian girls—culminated in the violent deaths of six Christians, including two of the participants, a Christian and a Muslim, being set on fire, and local Muslims went on another ‘collective punishment‘ spree. It resulted in the injury of at least 20 other Copts, an Evangelical church being set on fire, and an attack on a Coptic church, Two days later, after Copts had mourned their dead in the St. Mark Cathedral—Coptic Christianity’s holiest site and home to the Coptic pope—Muslim mobs, who had waited outside, launched yet another attack—aided by state security forces. Eyewitnesses said as many as 40-50 tear gas canisters targeted the mourners, many of whom were women and children hiding in the cathedral. Two more Copts were killed and many dozens wounded as other officers stood by while the Muslim mob tried to destroy the cathedral.

On one Friday after prayers, the Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque in Cairo was turned into a ‘torture chamber‘ for Egyptians, many of whom were Christians, protesting the Muslim Brotherhood. One of the victims, Amir Ayad, a Christian, said he was severely beaten before being left for dead at the side of the road. He suffered a fractured skull, a broken arm, bleeding in his right eye and pellet wounds. Coptic Christian children, mostly boys, were targeted for kidnapping and held for ransom; one 6-year-old, after his family had paid the Muslim kidnapper, was killed. And a video appeared on Arabic-language websites showing a crowd of Muslims in Egypt assaulting and raping two Christian women on a crowded street and in broad daylight. Throughout, the women scream in terror as the men shout Islamic slogans such as ‘Allahu Akbar!’ ‘[‘Allah is Greater!’] None of the many passersby intervenes in any way.

Also in April, during Easter week in Nigeria, Muslim herdsmen launched a series of raids on Christian villages, killing at least 80 Christians. Most of those slain were either children or the elderly. Over 200 Christian homes were destroyed, eight churches burned, and 4,500 Christians displaced. According to a pastor present at the time, ‘It was a helpless situation, as no Christians had any weapon to fight back. Women, children, and the elderly who were not able to escape were shot and killed. Luckily, all my children are in school, so this made it easier for our escape from the Muslim attackers. We sneaked away in the midst of the confusion and trekked for more than 20 kilometers [12 miles] to find a place to stay.’

Church Attacks

Central African Republic: A number of church buildings were attacked and the homes of Christians looted in the aftermath of a bloody coup by Sharia-adherent Muslim rebels. During the chaos, as in a standard jihad, Christian property was targeted for plundering, while Muslim property was spared. The leader of the Muslim rebels, Michel Djotodia, ‘assumed the presidency from the ousted François Bozizé, becoming the predominantly Christian nation’s first Muslim president.’ According to one Christian, ‘We are no longer at home. They pillage our goods which are then sold by the Muslims, who export them.‘

Israeli General Warns: The Threats Against Israel Are Changing And The Global Jihad Is Literally At Its Doorstep

By Elad Benari, INN – “The threats against Israel are changing and the global jihad is literally at its doorstep, the head of Military Intelligence warned on Tuesday.

‘It is possible that in the long run the winds of change will bring with them an opportunity, but in the short term the risks are increasing,’ said Maj. Gen. Aviv Kochavi during a graduation ceremony for hundreds of new intelligence officers.

‘Syria, which is the most disturbing example, attracts thousands of global jihad activists and Muslim extremists from the region and around the world, who base themselves in the country, not only to bring down Assad, but to promote the vision of a state based on Islamic law,’ he added.

‘Before our very eyes, at our doorstep, a large-scale center of the global jihad is developing, which may affect not only Syria and not just the borders of Israel, but Lebanon, Jordan, Sinai, and can radiate onto the entire region,’ warned Kochavi.

The leader of the jihadist Syrian rebel group Jabhat Al-Nusra (Al-Nusra Front) recently declared that his group is in favor of establishing an Islamic caliphate in civil war torn Syria.

In an audio recorded that has been disseminated over the past several days, Abu Mohammad al-Julani said, ‘Being Muslims, we do not believe in political parties or parliamentary elections, but rather in an Islamic regime based on the Shura (advisory council) and which implements justice … Our heading towards the establishment of Islamic law (Sharia) is jihad in Allah’s way.'” Read more.

Israel: Muslims Outraged Over Construction Of The ‘Third Temple’

By Maayana Miskin, INN – “A Jewish website that aims to teach Israelis about the Temple has been met with an angry backlash from the Arab Muslim community.

The Har Hakodesh (lit. ‘The Holy Mountain’) website includes educational material about the history of the Temple Mount, which was the site of the First Temple and Second Temple. The Temples were the focus of divine service for the Jewish nation.

The site also includes stunning photographs of the Temple Mount, including pictures taken by a non-Jewish photographer from parts of the Mount which Jews may not enter.

What has caused upset in the Muslim world is a representation of the Temple Mount as it would appear with a rebuilt Jewish Temple atop it rather than Al-Aqsa Mosque that currently stands there.

The site has been repeatedly targeted by hackers, and has been the focus of criticism in the Arab media. Sheikh Raed Salah, who heads the hardline northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, has called for an ‘Islamic awakening’ in response to the website.

Arutz Sheva spoke to Boaz Yaakovi, from the Lev Hauma NGO behind the website. ‘We didn’t do this to provoke or to annoy the Arabs,’ Yaakovi insisted.

‘We’re presenting history as it was,’ he argued.

When asked whether he sees the simulation of the Third Temple as provocative, he said, ‘If someone wants to get angry, what can I do? Because he’s angry, I should ignore my truth?’

The desire to see a rebuilt Temple is central to traditional Judaism, and the Amidah prayer, which religious Jews recite three times daily, calls for the Temple to be rebuilt.” Source – INN.

Coming Soon To A City Near You: America’s Own Islamic ‘No-Go’ Zones

By Bob Unruh, WND – “Coming soon to dozens of locations across the United States: America’s own ‘no-go’ zones where Muslims simply install their own courts, government, justice and punishment, much like the Islamist ‘no-go’ zones that already exist across the European Union.

And where others, obviously, ‘no-go.’

That’s according to an expert on such activity, Martin Mawyer, of the Christian Action Network.

His organization has been so solid in its opposition to radical Muslim expansion across the United States, he’s been targeted in a $30 million defamation lawsuit by Muslims of the Americas, founded by Pakistan Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani.

The claims are that the Muslims of the Americas were damaged by CAN’s publication of the book, ‘Twilight in America: The Untold Story of Islamist Terrorist Training Camps Inside America.’

The book accuses the Muslims of the Americas of ‘acting as a front for the radical Islamist group Jamaat al-Fuqre.’

CAN officials Tuesday told WND the case is at the stage of exchanging documents in preparation for further discovery.

Mawyer recently told Fox News that the leaders of the Muslim organization ‘feel they have to defend themselves to their own members,’ because he would have expected the case to be dropped. It is based on the claims of a former New York informant who posed as a member of the Muslims group, and alleged it was involved in ‘street crimes, drugs, brothels, unemployment fraud and other offenses.’

There is no question that terror training camps exist across the U.S. According to a DVD titled, ‘Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.,’ there are nearly three dozen ‘Islamist terrorist training compounds’ operating under the name ‘Muslims of America.’

By Alaa Shahine and Maram Mazen, Bloomberg – “Clashes between supporters and opponents of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi killed nine people, as violence following his ouster by the military showed no sign of ebbing.

The deadliest eruption of fighting took place near Cairo University, where six people were killed, state-run television reported, citing the health ministry. The Brotherhood said security forces attacked unarmed protesters. Another person died in Tahrir Square near the U.S. embassy after Muslim Brotherhood leader Essam El-Erian urged Egyptians to peacefully lay siege to the mission.

Daily violence that has claimed the lives of dozens over the past three weeks risks undermining the interim government’s plan to return to elected rule. At the same time, moves to put that process in motion have buoyed markets.

The military-appointed government is repeating the same mistake Mursi made, ruling ‘in an exclusionary, confrontational manner,’ said Yasser el-Shimy, an analyst in Cairo at International Crisis Group. ‘This could eventually lead to a very dangerous prospect, which is basically the normalization of violence in the political context in Egypt.’

Militants have also stepped up attacks on security forces in the Sinai peninsula, and yesterday, unidentified gunmen shot dead a police sergeant in the northern town of El-Arish, the interior ministry said today in an e-mailed statement.” Read more.

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Scoffs At Reconciliation – “As the military and Muslim Brotherhood square off, violence is rising. Nine people died overnight in clashes, most in Cairo. About 100 people have died since Morsi was ousted on July 3. Brotherhood leaders say they will continue to protest until Morsi is reinstated – even if only long enough to call early presidential elections. Until then, they will not recognize or participate in the political process, they insist… Yet outside Rabaa el Adawiya square many Egyptians in Cairo refer to Brotherhood members as ‘terrorists’ and say there is no need for the group to participate in public life… Brotherhood leaders are now under growing pressure from members to hold firm. Iraq: Muslim Ambulance Driver Refuses To Take Dead Body Of Christian Woman To Church For Funeral

AsiaNews – “A Kurdish ambulance driver refused to transport the body of an Assyrian woman from the hospital to the church, saying it was forbidden in Islam. The incident occurred in Iraqi Kurdistan, a symptom of the country’s growing ethnic-religious polarisation.

The body of the Assyrian woman, who died last Sunday at Zarkari hospital in Erbil, had to be brought to the town of Ankawa, but the Muslim ambulance driver refused to drive to the church because it is ‘haram’ (forbidden) in Islam.

Marivan Naqshbandi, media director at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Kurdish Regional Government in north of Iraq, asked the Health Ministry to open an investigation into the case.

‘The Committee for promoting religious coexistence, which was formed recently in the region, should follow up on this case to insure that civil servants carry out their duties professionally and impartially and not on the basis of personal religious beliefs,’ he said.

Insecurity and violence are rising in the country, especially after US and international troops left in 2011.” Read more.

Since then Canadian Muslims have been arrested for planning terror against a train, another train that was derailed in France was robbed by Muslims – who probably are also guilty in derailing that same train… And now this:

“A Danish family crashed and rolled around in their car on the highway in Malmo last night, after vandals -presumably with evil intentions – threw stones across the road.

The mother, according to Malmo police, has fractures of the pelvis due to the accident, while the father received injuries on his face. The couple’s three teenage children escaped uninjured …

The press spokesman of the police in the region, Nils Norling, said to Ekstra Bladet that the parents were still in hospital in Malmo, but their condition was stable and there were no life-threatening injuries.

He says the family was lucky that it did not go worse, but he described the accident as very serious.

‘- It wasn a powerful collision. Someone placed stones across the road and the car collided with them and overturned …

‘- Is it possible that a car simply lost stones from the load by accident?’

‘- We do not think so. It is not the first time big rocks have been placed on the road at that particular place,’ says Nils Norlin

Malaysian Edition – “A decision by a primary school administration to order its non-Muslim pupils to have their meals during recess in what appears to be the school’s shower room has gone viral and angered netizens.

  

Photographs of the pupils having their meals in the bathroom at the Sungai Buloh school have been posted in Facebook. It is believed the pupils had been told to do it there because it is the fasting month.” Source – Malaysian Edition.

By Daniel Greenfield, Frontpage Mag – “The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood doesn’t have the patience to wait around for arms aid from Obama the way that the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood running the Free Syrian Army has. Instead it’s getting rockets from its Hamas outlet over in Gaza.

A high-ranking Egyptian general on Wednesday accused Hamas of smuggling rockets into Egypt for use by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Hamas started out as an offshoot of the Egyptian Brotherhood and maintained close ties with the deposed Egyptian regime led by Brotherhood member Mohamed Morsi.

Maj. Gen. Osama Askar, commander of Egypt’s Third Army, accused Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, of smuggling 19 Grad rockets. Egyptian soldiers intercepted the rocket shipment along the Suez-Cairo highway, which Askar charged was on its way to Cairo to help the Muslim Brotherhood.

“The confiscated rockets were enough to destroy an entire neighborhood, indicating they were on their way to be used in terror activities against the Egyptian people,” Askar told reporters.

The captured rockets are the same type used by the Qassam Brigades against Israel. Egyptian troops also discovered military uniforms last Sunday that that Askar said were “enough for an entire army.”

The Muslim Brotherhood certainly has no objection to a bloody civil war, but the Egyptian Army is a much harder target than the Syrian Army and the Brotherhood won’t have the kind of support it does in Syria.

Still enough weapons can create some very bloody disruptions while destabilizing the situation. Attacks can be blamed on the military, especially if they’re carried out as false flag operations by Muslim Brotherhood personnel in uniform.

The Muslim Brotherhood is making it clear that they are not going to limit themselves to protesting while waiting for political pressure from Obama to force a reversal. Instead they’re going to disrupt things in a much bloodier way.

By Michael Carl, WND – “A campaign on Twitter aims to inspire Muslim men to join war in the Middle East by featuring the faces of the dead – smiling.

The Middle East Media Research Institute report says the macabre images are to convince additional fighters to join the effort to overthrow Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

Besides the images, there are messages. One of the Tweets even mentions the smile on the jihadist’s face and invokes the war against Assad.

‘A deceased martyr smiling … your glory oh Allah (oh Allah make the ending better) #martyr #Syria Oh God, your glory eclipses the land of Bashar.’

Another Tweet mentions the smell coming from the martyr’s body.

‘The scent of musk emanated from his pure body, and it was smelled by the mujahideen. Women trilled loudly after they smelled the musk emanating from his body.’

Another Tweet told of a man who didn’t marry because of his coming martyrdom.

‘He refrained from marriage because he was hastening to meet the virgins under the shadows and the trees. As he died, he will be honored with the company of the prophet Muhammad’s companions and the love of the prophet Muhammad.’

Another references Syria and a Muslim convert coming from Europe.

‘He came from Spain, leaving behind him a well-off and blissful life; Abu Adam the Moroccan was killed, may Allah have mercy on him, in one of the battles in Aleppo.’

The celebrants note that in some cases, the ‘martyrs’ killed in ‘holy wars’ in Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia and elsewhere seem to be smiling.

Among the ‘martyrs’ are prominent Muslim sheiks, writers on online jihadi forums and ordinary Muslim men who died carrying out jihad.

Center for Security Policy Senior Fellow Clare Lopez says that jihadists believe the tweets and photos will inspire young Muslim men to become martyrs.

‘They’re trying to encourage other fighters saying, if you give your life in the way of Allah, death is sweet, and the reward awaiting you on the other side is paradise, is better than you can imagine,’ Lopez said. ‘In the case of these jihadis, they’re promised a reward of 72 virgins if you die in jihad as well as avoiding the torments of the grave.’

By Khaled Abu Toameh, Gatestone Institute – “What happened at the al-Aqsa Mosque during last week’s Friday prayers should be sounding alarm bells in the U.S., Britain and France.

After the prayers, during a demonstration in support of Egypt’s deposed President Mohamed Morsi, thousands of Muslims began shouting slogans against the U.S., Britain, France and Israel

‘Allahu Akbar, destroy the U.S., Britain and France!’ the demonstrators chanted in scenes that appeared as if they were taking place in a remote Taliban-controlled village in Afghanistan.

But the protest did not take place in Afghanistan or Pakistan. It took place at the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, during which Israel allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank to enter Jerusalem for Friday prayers.

Why did the Muslim worshippers chant slogans against the US, Britain and France? Because they believe that these countries are the enemies of Islam and were involved in the ‘conspiracy’ to remove the Muslim Brotherhood from power in Egypt.

But of course such demonstrations cannot occur without also shouting threats and slogans against Jews.

Why Jews? Because the declared goal of these extremists is to destroy Israel and establish an Islamic Caliphate.

It is frightening to see thousands of Muslims chanting, ‘Khaybar, Khaybar Jews — the army of Mohamed will return!’

They were referring of course to the Battle of Khaybar, fought in the year 629, between Muslims and Jews living in the oasis of Khaybar in the Arabian Peninsula.

The Jews there were attacked after being accused by the Muslims of inciting hostilities among Arab tribes. The Jews finally surrendered and were permitted to live in Khaybar on condition that they gave one-half of their produce to Muslims.

The demonstrators at the Aqsa Mosque are hoping that the Muslims will again attack the Jews, this time in Israel, and force them to succumb, and either to leave or agree to live as a humiliated minority under the rule of an Islamic Caliph.

What is worrying is that some of these demonstrators were Israeli citizens affiliated with the Islamic Movement in Israel, headed by Sheikh Raed Salah. This movement, affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, has thousands of supporters among the Arab community inside Israel.

India: Muslim Member Of Congress Threatens To Behead Political Opponent, ‘It Would Not Take Me Even A Minute’

By IANS Kolkata, India Today – “As a controversy rages over a ruling Trinamool Congress leader asking party workers to attack houses of Independent candidates in the ongoing panchayat polls, a Trinamool legislator Sunday publicly threatened to decapitate a Congress leader.

The threat was directed at Bapi Dutta, a Congress leader of Birbhum district.

‘Bapi Dutta, it would not take me even a minute to behead you,’ shouted Monirul Islam, Trinamool’s member of assembly from Labhpur in Birbhum district, at an election rally.

Continuing in the same vein, the Trinamool Congress MLA claimed he had ‘squashed’ three people under his feet for committing atrocities against women.

Dutta, the target of the verbal attack, reacted sharply: ‘There is no doubt that Trinamool Congress is a party of anti-socials. People will give Islam’s comments a befitting reply through the ballot.’

The threat comes close on the heels of the party’s Birbhum district president Anubrata Mandal saying at a rally: ‘If Independent candidates issue threats, set fire to their houses.’

Asking the people not to vote for Independent candidates, many of whom are believed to be dissident Trinamool workers, Mandal said: ‘If the administration thinks of supporting the Independents, then hurl bombs at the police and the administration: I am telling you.’

However, facing widespread criticism, Mandal backtracked Thursday claiming it was a ‘slip of tongue’.

The State Election Commission has asked the state government and the district administration to take steps against Mondal, but nothing has been done so far.” Read more.
