Beheading And Islam: You Can’t Think Of One Without Thinking About The Other

By James Nye, Mail Online – “ISIS has released a video that shows the beheading of U.S. journalist Steven Sotloff and says the murder is retaliation for the Obama administration’s continued airstrikes in Iraq.

Sotloff is the second American journalist to be killed by ISIS, and his death comes two weeks after James Foley was executed in a similar video.

In the video entitled ‘A Second Message to America,’ Sotloff appears in a orange jumpsuit before he is beheaded by an Islamic State fighter.

The executioner appears to be the same man who killed Foley – known as ‘Jihadi John’ – and tells the camera: ‘I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State.’

He also threatens to kill a Briton held hostage by the group next.

The executioner points his knife menacingly at the camera as he speaks. Clad in the same black garb he wore during Foley’s execution, the killer has a pistol strapped under his arm in a shoulder holster. The black flag of the Islamic State can be seen waving in the background.

Sotloff calmly read a statement moments before his murder: ‘I’m sure you know exactly who I am by now and why I am appearing.

He tells the camera: ‘Obama, your foreign policy of intervention in Iraq was supposed to be for preservation of American lives and interests, so why is it that I am paying the price of your interference with my life?’

While he speaks, a militant calmly holds a knife at his side and stands next to Sotloff.

The man believed to be Jihadi John also says: ‘As your missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike necks of your people.’

The chilling threat to execute a UK hostage is a direct challenge to Prime Minister David Cameron and will send shockwaves through the British government.

Tonight Mr Cameron condemned the video and said: ‘It is an absolutely disgusting and despicable act.’

There is growing concern that a list of ‘soft’ targets is being drawn up, and that weapons and explosives have already been smuggled into the country.

The Sun is reporting that the SAS has moved part of its anti-terror team to a forward base near London, amid concerns that a prolonged attack may be staged in that city. MI5 also referred to the Mumbai atrocity of 2008 as a comparison, in which coordinated bombings and shootings took place over four consecutive days, killing 174 and wounding a further 300.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘The nightmare scenario is they mount a spectacular attack at a high profile location. They may try to storm a building, take hostages, rig it with explosives or kill at will.’

The threat has caused the official ‘threat level’ to be raised to severe, increasing tensions in the city and prompting people to share warnings of an imminent bomb attack on the London Underground on social media and via text last night. The threat was dismissed as a hoax after the head of the British Transport Police took to Twitter, posting: ‘Social media contains lots of rumours regarding threats to tube network tomorrow. There is no specific threat so keep calm & carry on.’

However, Twitter user David O’Neill pointed out: ‘Must say though. If you raise the threat level to severe you can’t be shocked when people believe stupid rumours about attacks on the tube.’

Up to 500 British-born men are understood to have gone abroad in order to fight for the Islamic State (IS). Scotland Yard believes that up to 200 may have already returned, and are concerned that they will have been taught to carry out similar violent attacks on the streets of Britain.” Read more.

By Jennifer Newton, Mail Online – “A video has emerged reportedly showing children at training camps run by the Islamic State firing machine guns that are almost as big as them.

The footage released by the terror group shows small children sitting reading from the holy book before showing a youngster, wearing a ski mask, firing an automatic weapon, which he struggle to control as he fires it.

It then shows another boy assembling a weapon, while other children look on in the background.

The video, one of many made by the group is thought to be an attempt to boast of their young recruits.

It also shows youngsters taking an oath pledging an allegiance to the Islamic State and an even younger boy being asked what he would like to say to infidels.

He replies: ‘Infidels.. you are to be killed.’

One boy, who managed to flee from one of the training camps told CNN how he was just 13 when ISIS tried to recruit him.

He says that his father tried to stop him but militias threatened to behead him if he didn’t let his son go.

The boy, who has not been named, eventually went to the camp, where he said they exercised, learned about the Quran, took courses on weapons, while some were forced to watch gruesome videos.

He added: ‘When we go to the mosque, they order us to come the next day at a specific time and place to [watch] heads cut off, lashings or stonings.

‘We saw a young man who did not fast for Ramadan, so they crucified him for three days, and we saw a woman being stoned [to death] because she committed adultery.'” Read more.

In fact, the one who was thrown out of Heaven was found to be supremely proud (Isaiah 14:12-15). He is also the one who then deceives the whole earth (Revelation 20:10). The Islamic world knows him as “Allah.” We know him as “Satan.” And his days are numbered …

Death Metal Musician Converts To Religion Of Death

By Leon Watson, Mail Online – “A British mother-of-two who once fronted an all-girl rock band is believed to have made it to Syria where she is threatening to behead Christians with a blunt knife.

Investigations have revealed the real name of a Muslim convert who calls herself Umm Hussain al-Britani may be Sally Jones, from Chatham in Kent.

Umm Hussain has previously claimed she married British computer hacker-turned jihadi Junaid Hussain after an online romance before the pair travelled separately to Syria to join the Islamic State.

He has since become a potential suspect in the beheading of the American journalist James Foley.

On August 10 Umm Hussain tweeted that she had made it to the ‘Caliphate’ with her husband after being stuck in Idlib, north-western Syria, for seven months.

Umm Hussain later indicated she was in the IS stronghold of Raqqa.

In messages that have since been deleted, she warned: ‘You Christians all need beheading with a nice blunt knife and stuck on the railings at raqqa … Come here I’ll do it for you!’

Now a probe into his wife Umm Hussain’s online activities carried out by the Sunday Times have linked her to an address in the Medway town.

Neighbours have also identified pictures used in Umm Hussain’s online accounts as the woman who moved out five years ago and had two boys.

One neighbour said she was ‘scatty’ and another said she was interested in ‘black magic’ and witchcraft.” Read more.

Now in the organization’s new English language publication, Dabiq, aimed at young Muslims in western states, the extremist organization declared, ‘Islamic State will do everything within its means to continue striking down every apostate who stands as an obstacle on its path towards Palestine.’

Denouncing the ineffectiveness of other Arab states and organizations in carrying out the ‘will of Allah,’ the magazine vows that, ‘Its [Islamic State’s] actions speak louder than its words and it is only a matter of time and patience before it reaches Palestine to fight the barbaric Jews and kill those of them hiding behind the gharqad trees – the trees of the jews.’

The Islamic State recently brought attention to the large and growing number of westerners in its ranks with the video of American journalist James Foley’s execution, at the hands of a masked IS militant speaking English in a British accent.

The shocking video and revelation that the American hostage’s killer might be a British citizen turned jihadist led a man hunt to identify the man. Assessments by Britain’s two intelligence and security agencies led to the positive identification of  23-year-old British-born Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, nicknamed ‘Jihadi John’ by his colleagues.

Western countries are well aware of the issue. ‘I don’t think this video changes anything. It just heightens awareness of a situation which is very grave and which we’ve been working on for several months.’ British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammondtold the BBC.

Now the Islamic State is producing a slick new magazine in English which caters to potential recruits around the world to answer the ‘call to Hijrah,’ migration to the Islamic State.

The publication does away with the often poetic translation of Arab prose found in other jihadist propoganda and writes in plain English that young Muslims in Europe or the United States can relate to.” Read more.

‘Islamic State’ Jihadi Says His Group Gets Funding From Turkey – “Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his AK Party have a well developed reputation for anti-Semitism and anti-Israel policies generally. But now ties to the Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS, are emerging. The Jerusalem Post reported one Islamic State member said Turkey, a member of NATO, provided funds for the terrorist group. ‘Turkey paved the way for us. Had Turkey not shown such understanding for us, the Islamic State would not be in its current place. It [Turkey] showed us affection. Large [numbers] of our mujahedeen received medical treatment in Turkey …'” Read more.
