ENCA – “At least 38 people were killed following a raid by suspected Islamist Boko Haram gunmen on a village in northeast Nigeria and a military aerial bombardment of fleeing residents mistaken for insurgents, villagers said Monday.

The attack on the Christian farming village of Dille in Askira Uba district, 200 kilometres from regional capital Maiduguri late Sunday through Monday, burnt the entire village including three churches, they said.

Dozens of gunmen in all-terrain vehicles and on motorcycles stormed the village from the nearby Sambisa forest where the insurgents maintain camps, firing indiscriminately and throwing grenades and explosives into homes.

The attack, which sent residents fleeing into the bush followed an earlier raid on Buttuku village in neighbouring Adamawa state, said resident Michael Umaru Jar.

‘We lost 38 people in Boko Haram attacks and bombardments by a military jet on innocent residents fleeing the village,’ Jar said.

‘The Boko Haram gunmen came around 11pm on Sunday and opened fire on the village with guns, rocket-propelled grenades and explosives,’ said Jar who fled to Lassa village, seven kilometres away.

Locals went into the bush where they passed the night but when they tried to return to their homes Monday morning, the attackers opened fire on them from hills overlooking the village where they had taken cover, said another resident, John Buba.

Panicked residents who tried to take a bus out of the village were mistaken for fleeing insurgents by military fighter jets that are deployed to repel the attackers.

‘Unfortunately, the fighter jets threw three explosives on the people waiting for a bus inside the garage (bus station),’ said Buba in an account supported by Jar.” Read more.

Haaretz – “Dozens of men at an anti-Israel demonstration in Antwerp shouted slogans about slaughtering Jews.

Approximately 500 people attended Saturday’s protest in the capital of Belgium’s Flemish region, where one of the speakers used a loudspeaker to chant a call in Arabic that means ‘slaughter the Jews.’

The demonstration against Israel’s assault on Hamas in Gaza happened amid a wave of anti-Semitic attacks in Western Europe that coincided with the Israeli actions, and one day before a similar demonstration in Paris escalated into what European Jewish Congress President Moshe Kantor called an ‘attempted lynch’ outside a local synagogue.

The Belgian League Against Anti-Semitism filed a complaint for incitement to violence against participants and organizers of the Antwerp demonstration, dozens of whom were recorded making the calls.

‘International politics cannot serve as a pretext for incitement to anti-Semitic hatred,’ the organization’s president, Joel Rubinfeld, said in a statement.

It also condemned the presence at the demonstration of three local politicians: Karim Bachar of the Flemish Socialist Party; Ikrame Kastit of the Flemish Green Party; and Mohamed Chebaa of Labor.

The protesters also called out ‘Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning,’ referencing a seventh-century slaughter against Jews in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this month, the same call was heard at a demonstration in The Hague in favor of the ISIS Sunni militia in Syria and Iraq. The protest was held six days before Israel launched its military operation in Gaza.” Read more.

By Rabia Ali, The Express Tribune – “It was on a warm October day that human rights activist Noel Alfonce received a call. A man simply asked him to stop his work or his 10-year-old daughter would suffer the consequences.

With a heavy heart, nearly six months later, he left his home and country behind for good.

‘I wouldn’t have been bothered had they threatened me, but when it comes to your children, you sometimes have to take harsh decisions,’ said the balding man, speaking over the phone from a busy marketplace in Bangkok as Thai announcements blared in the background.

The ‘crimes’ that forced him out of the country were helping victims of forced conversions and their families and visiting the burned down and bullet-riddled churches after they were attacked. His actions irked the wrong people, and Alfonce, who had been working at the National Commission for Justice and Peace for the last four years in Karachi, had to wind up his work and leave.

There are no official figures but community members and activists say that thousands of Christians have left Pakistan and are seeking asylum in other countries.

From Karachi, many Christian families have fled silently; from Dastagir, Pahar Ganj, Mianwali Colony, Akhtar Colony and Essa Nagri. A majority of them opt for Thailand, which offers cheap airfare and easy access to tourist visas.

‘Apart from personal attacks and threats, the Badami Bagh incident in Lahore and the church bombing in Peshawar have led to an increase in migration of Christians. Unemployment and lack of security are making them leave,’ said former parliamentarian and minority representative Michael Javed.

But Alfonce, whose bike was riddled with bullets when he spoke against a church attack in Karachi’s Mianwali Colony in 2012 and received death threats in September of last year after he condemned the killing of a Christian accused of blasphemy, has no one to share his grievances with.

‘Who do I complain to? The government has no writ and it is the terrorists who are in control now,’ he said.

With a quivering voice, he added, ‘I don’t know what I will do when my savings run out next month. I don’t know how we will survive.'” Read more.

CNA – “Two Iraqi archbishops are seeking ‘faith and hope’ in Iraq, while bewailing the continuing exodus of Christians from the country amid continued violence.

Archbishop Yousif Mirkis heads the Chaldean Archdiocese of Kirkuk, in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region.

He said that he ‘quite definitely’ fears the end of Christianity in Iraq.

‘We are in the process of disappearing, just as the Christians in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and North Africa have disappeared. And even in Lebanon they now constitute only a minority,’ he told the international Catholic pastoral charity Aid to the Church in Need July 8.

Archbishop Mirkis said he is not resigned to defeat, but ‘trying to be realistic.’

‘There is still the hope that faith brings,’ he said. While he himself will not leave Iraq, he said he understands why young Christians are leaving in the wake of so many violent deaths.

‘In the past ten years we have lost a bishop and six priests. In addition there are about a thousand of the faithful who have died in attacks.’

‘Not everybody shares the faith and the hope.’

The Christian population in Iraq has plummeted to 400,000, down from about 1.5 million before the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

Their situation has worsened further since June, when insurgents with the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant seized a sizeable amount of territory in north-western Iraq.

According to U.N. figures, acts of violence and terrorism killed at least 2,400 Iraqis and 1,500 civilians in June alone. The violence has also driven more than 1 million people from their homes.” Read more.

The country has been under an Islamic regime since 1989.

The announcement was made Saturday by the Sudanese Minister of Guidance and Religious Endowments Shalil Abdullah.

He told the press that the government will henceforth not issue permits for the building of churches in the country.

Minister Shalil Abdullah argued that the existing churches are enough for the Christians population remaining in Sudan after the secession of South Sudan in 2011.

He pointed out that South Sudan is now an independent country with a majority of its people being Christians, and that the number of Christians still in Sudan is small.

This ban has raised a lot of criticism from the Christian leaders in the country.

Speaking at radio Tamazuj, the Secretary-General of Sudan Council of Churches Reverend Kori El Ramli condemned the ban.

‘Yes, we are a minority, but we have freedom of worship and belief just like the rest of the Sudanese as long as we are Sudanese nationals like them,’ he explained.

The Bishop further criticized the recent demolition of a church near a suburb located in Khartoum North by local authorities.

On July 1, authorities demolished the Sudanese Christ Church at El Izba residential area in Khartoum North.

Kuwa Shamal Kuku, the bishop of the demolished church, expressed his discontent saying the demolition was carried out under the pretext of protecting the land.” Source – UGO News.

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “Along with an especially jarring list of atrocities committed against Christian minorities throughout the Islamic world, March also saw some callous indifference or worse from the U.S. government.

President Barack Obama was criticized by human rights activists for not addressing the plight of Christians and other minorities during his talks with leaders in Saudi Arabia, where Christianity is actively banned.

According to the Washington-based International Christian Concern [ICC] advocacy group, Obama did not ‘publicly broach the subject of religious freedom’ when he spoke on March 28 with Saudi King Abdullah, despite a letter from 70 members of Congress urging him to ‘address specific human rights reforms’ both in public and in direct meetings with the king and other officials.

‘This visit was an excellent opportunity for the president to speak up on an issue that affects millions of Saudi citizens and millions more foreign workers living in Saudi Arabia,’ said Todd Daniels, ICC’s Middle East regional manager. He added that it was ‘remarkable that the president could stay completely silent about religious freedom,’ despite pressure from Congress ‘to publicly address the issue, as well as other human rights concerns, with King Abdullah…’

U.S. officials reportedly responded by saying that ‘Obama had not had time to raise concerns about the kingdom’s human rights record.’

Separately, after the United States Institute for Peace [USIP] brought together the governors of Nigeria’s mostly Muslim northern states for a conference in the U.S., the State Department, citing ‘administrative’ problems, blocked the visa of the region’s only Christian governor, Jonah David Jang, an ordained minister. The USIP confirmed that all 19 northern governors were invited, but the organization did not respond to requests for comments on why it would hold talks without the region’s only Christian governor.

According to Emmanuel Ogebe, a Nigerian human rights lawyer based in Washington, the Christian governor’s ‘visa problems’ are due to anti-Christian bias in the U.S. government: ‘The U.S. insists that Muslims are the primary victims of Boko Haram. It also claims that Christians discriminate against Muslims in Plateau, which is one of the few Christian majority states in the north. After [Jang, the Christian governor] told them [U.S. authorities] that they were ignoring the 12 Shariah states who [sic] institutionalized persecution … he suddenly developed visa problems… The question remains—why is the U.S. downplaying or denying the attacks against Christians?’

By Naharnet Newsdesk – “The head of Nigeria’s Boko Haram Islamists has voiced support for the extremist Sunni Islamic State (IS) militants who have taken over large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria, in a video obtained by Agence France Presse Sunday.

In the 16-minute video, given to AFP through similar channels as past messages, Boko Haram chief Abubakar Shekau also claims responsibility for a June 25 bombing in the capital Abuja and an attack hours later in Lagos which the authorities tried to cover up

He also mocks the social media campaign Bring Back Our Girls which emerged to call attention to the plight of the more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped on April 14 by the Islamists from the remote northeastern town of Chibok.

‘We were the ones who detonated the bomb in filthy Abuja,’ Shekau said, referring to the attack a popular shopping center that killed at least 22 people.

Later that day, a huge blast rocked the Apapa port district of Lagos, which the authorities blamed on cooking gas explosion, with no casualties.

An AFP investigation has revealed the blast was a deliberate attack involving high explosives.

‘A bomb went off in Lagos. I ordered (the bomber) who went and detonated it,’ Shekau says in the video, which shows him flanked by at least ten gunmen in front of two armored personnel carriers and two pickup trucks.

‘You said it was a fire incident,’ he added. ‘Well, if you hide it from people you can’t hide it from Allah.’

Near the beginning of the video he calls several of the world’s most prominent Islamist extremists his ‘brethren.’

BBC Promotes Lie That Israel Is Targeting Civilians In Gaza

The Algemeiner – “The BBC News website’s main article on the second day of Operation Protective Edge  – July 9th – underwent amendment numerous times (available to view here) until reaching its fourteenth and final version. Currently going under the title ‘Hamas fires rockets amid Israeli air strikes on Gaza,’ its first four versions were titled ‘Hamas fires rockets at Israeli cities after Gaza offensive’, thus misleadingly suggesting to BBC audiences that the firing of missiles by terrorists from the Gaza Strip is a response to Israeli actions, rather than the exact opposite, which is actually the case.

The first eleven versions of that article used the sub-heading ‘War crime’ – as did the previous day’s main report – in the section of the report relating to the incident on the morning of July 8th in Khan Younis in which Palestinians acting as ‘human shields’ were killed after a warning had been given to the building’s occupants to vacate the premises.

The report’s final version was not updated to include accurate figures.

“Israel said it had intercepted 15 rockets on Wednesday, including eight over Tel Aviv, Ashkelon and Ashdod.” […]

“It [the IDF] said 117 rockets had hit Israel on Tuesday, with the Iron Dome interceptor system shooting down 20. Three rockets landed around Jerusalem.” […]

“Some 48 rockets were fired at Israel on Wednesday, the military said. Iron Dome intercepted two rockets above Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning, three over Ashkelon and three over Ashdod.

The town of Hadera 100km (60 miles) north of Gaza, was also attacked, with an M-302 surface-to-surface rocket, the furthest target so far reached.”

The figures provided by the IDF are actually as follows:

Tuesday July 8: 117 missiles fired from the Gaza Strip hit Israel. A further 29 (not 20 as the BBC claims) were intercepted.

Wednesday July 9: 90 missiles (not 48 as the BBC claims) fired from the Gaza Strip hit Israel. A further 24 (not 15 as claimed by the BBC) were intercepted.

No explanation is provided to readers regarding the origins of that M-302 missile that hit Hadera and they are not informed that a shipment of such Syrian-made missiles was intercepted as recently as March of this year, nor of Iran’s role in the smuggling of such weapons to the Gaza Strip.

With regard to Palestinian casualties, this report does at least acknowledge that some are not civilians, although it does not inform readers that they are terrorists.

“Reports from Gaza said at least eight people had been killed in the latest Israeli air strikes.

Gaza officials say 35 Palestinians have now died in the recent hostilities, with 150 more injured.

The officials say half of the casualties are civilians, a number of them women and children.”

Under the sub-heading ‘No safe haven,’ the report promotes and amplifies what the BBC knows full well to be a baseless allegation from an official belonging to what it equally well knows is a politically motivated NGO.

“The head of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights in Gaza, Raji Sourani, accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians.

He told the BBC: “There is no safe haven in this place and Palestinian civilians are once again in the eye of the storm and are paying heavily. Israelis.. are trying to pressure militant groups through targeting civilians.”” [emphasis added]

New York: “Palestinian” Rally Features Genocidal, Anti-Semitic Jihad Chant

Across the street raged an ugly, hate-filled pro-‘Palestinian’ rally, at which — as you can hear in the above video — demonstrators chanted, ‘Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahoud, jaish Muhammad saufa yaoud.’ That’s ‘Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.’ As I explain in my book The Truth About Muhammad, this chant refers to Muhammad’s unprovoked massacre of Jews at the Khaybar oasis in northern Arabia. When modern-day Muslims invoke Khaybar, they are doing much more than just recalling the glory days of Islam and its prophet: they are recalling an aggressive, surprise raid by Muhammad which resulted in the final eradication of the once considerable Jewish presence in Arabia. To Islamic supremacists, Khaybar means the destruction of the Jews and the seizure of their property by the Muslims.

And on Wednesday, this genocidal, anti-Semitic chant was heard right in the heart of New York City.

Invoking Emmett Till. The biggest racists on the face of the earth (the whole jihadic/sharia ideology is based on hate, racism and apartheid) invoke race into a horrible crime. You can’t make this stuff up. That horrible crime repels us, they celebrate when Jews are slaughtered.

What’s more, there is no comparison between Emmett Till and Mohammed Abu Khdeir. The brutal murder of Till did not follow the kidnapping and murder of three white boys. The murderers of Emmett Till were not properly prosecuted, and were acquitted after a sham trial. The murderers of Mohammed Abu Khdeir are going to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and imprisoned for life if found guilty. The murder of Emmett Till was widely considered justified in the racist South. The murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir has been the cause of a huge outpouring of grief and apologies from Israelis.

For the “Palestinians” to make this comparison shows how morally monstrous they really are. “Palestinians” didn’t mourn the murders of the three Jewish boys; they celebrated them. Now they claim the moral high ground. Unconscionable.

The Times of Israel – “A popular Turkish female pop singer was under pressure Friday to make a public apology after she posted a succession of anti-Semitic tweets over Israel’s deadly air campaign in Gaza

Yildiz Tilbe, who has been making folk-influenced hit albums since the 1990s, appeared to praise Hitler in the tweets and say the end of the Jews was near.

‘If God allows, it will be again Muslims who will bring the end of those Jews, it is near, near,’ she tweeted on her official account @YildizzTilbee.

‘They (Jews) are hostile to Allah and all prophets including their own prophet Moses.’

In another tweet she appeared to praise Hitler for the mass extermination of Jews in the Holocaust, writing ‘May God bless Hitler.’

The Jewish Community of Turkey condemned the singer’s tweets as ‘racist and inciting hatred,’ calling on judicial authorities to ‘immediately start necessary legal procedures’ under the country’s penal code.” Read more.
