Rumors Of War: US, UK Preparing To Launch Series Of Missile Strikes Against Assad Regime In Syria
If military action against Damascus following the recent alleged use of chemical weapons by Assad does indeed happen, the jubilant response of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda and all like-minded Sunni terror groups is easily predictable. The Shiite response from Hezbollah and Iran, however, is not …
By Tim Ross and Ben Farmer, The Telegraph – “Royal Navy vessels are being readied to take part in a possible series of cruise missile strikes, alongside the United States, as military commanders finalise a list of potential targets.
Government sources said talks between the Prime Minister and international leaders, including Barack Obama, would continue, but that any military action that was agreed could begin within the next week.
As the preparations gathered pace, William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, warned that the world could not stand by and allow the Assad regime to use chemical weapons against the Syrian people ‘with impunity’.
Britain, the US and their allies must show Mr Assad that to perpetrate such an atrocity ‘is to cross a line and that the world will respond when that line is crossed’, he said.
British forces now look likely to be drawn into an intervention in the Syrian crisis after months of deliberation and international disagreement over how to respond to the bloody two-year civil war.
The possibility of such intervention will provoke demands for Parliament to be recalled this week.
The escalation comes as a direct response to what the Government is convinced was a gas attack perpetrated by Syrian forces on a civilian district of Damascus last Wednesday.
The Assad regime has been under mounting pressure to allow United Nations inspectors on to the site to establish who was to blame for the atrocity. One international agency said it had counted at least 355 people dead and 3,600 injured following the attack, while reports suggested the true death toll could be as high as 1,300.
Syrian state media accused rebel forces of using chemical agents, saying some government soldiers had suffocated as a result during fighting.
After days of delay, the Syrian government finally offered yesterday to allow a team of UN inspectors access to the area.” Read more.

Bad Moon Rising: Christians Are Being Slaughtered By Islamists All Over The World
Acts 14:22, “… continue in the faith … we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
By Archbishop Cranmer via AINA, “In April 1996, Pope John Paul II attacked the intransigence of ‘followers of other religions’ who were persecuting Christians. He didn’t specify Islam, but everyone know who he meant.
In his Easter message Urbi et Orbi, he said Christians in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe had ‘legitimate aspirations’ to jobs, housing, social justice and religious freedom which were ‘hindered’ by other faiths. The Times continued: ‘The Pope recently condemned Islamic persecution of Christians in Sudan and will travel to Tunisia next weekend to plead for Islamic tolerance and Islamic-Christian dialogue.’
Nothing has really changed in almost 20 years. Indeed, the situation for Christians in these regions has actually become an awful lot worse.
The head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, for example, Pope Tawadros II, has had to cancel many public events at St Mark’s Cathedral in Cairo, fearing attacks from Brotherhood supporters who blame the Copts for the fall of Morsi. Indeed, the Copts in Egypt, who make up around 10 per cent of the population, have it an awful lot worse than gays in Russia. But there is no rolling coverage of their plight by the BBC: their persecution and murder is only mentioned in passing. No marches are staged in London; there is no damning comment by David Cameron or President Obama, and the world is largely silent as their churches are torched and congregations slaughtered.
Pope Tawadros was not the only religious leader who demanded change in Egypt, but his church is bearing the brunt. The Copts are increasingly fearful of meeting to worship: one of their number was recently kidnapped and beheaded in the Sinai.
And in Syria, Christians are being executed in their homes or subject to the judgments of sharia courts established to pass sentences upon those who violate precepts of Wahhabi Islam. As the Sunni ‘rebels’ struggle for ‘freedom’, the country’s 2.5 million Christians pray for the restoration of Alawite President Assad, their guardian and protector. Under him they had freedom to assemble, worship and speak. Indeed, Syria was for many the country of choice for Assyrian Christians fleeing the post-Saddam persecution. Their community is 2000 years old: today, they are verging on extinction.
But it is in Nigeria where the Islamist jihad rages most fiercely: according to a report on the Middle East Forum, 70 per cent of Christians killed around the world in 2012 were killed in the African nation. They list the most recent church Attacks: Egypt: According to El Watan News, three Christian brothers were shot dead at their home by automatic weapons a few weeks before two were set to have their weddings. The victims’ family was earlier accused of trying to build a church on land they owned because they purchased building material to build a house on that land. The rumors about the building of a church spread during the Friday sermon at the mosque, following which 2,000 Muslims stormed the land and tried to destroy the house, car and tractor, resulting in the murder of the three Christian brothers.
Indonesia: Authorities demolished a church building with a bulldozer in West Java, even as Muslim bystanders cheered and denounced Christians as ‘infidels.’ According to Pastor Leonard Nababan, the government is ‘criminalising our religion.’ The congregation had gathered around the church in an effort to save it; so did Muslims, shouting, ‘They’re infidels and they’ve built their church without permission,’ ‘Knock the church down now’ and ‘Allahu Akbar.’
Iraq: According to Fox News, before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, there were more than 300 Christian churches. Today, a decade after the jihad was unleashed on Christians and their churches, only 57 Christian churches remain in the nation. And ‘The churches that remain are Read more…
‘Islam Is Coming’: Jihadist Leader Warns U.S. That Foreign Fighting In Syria Could Be In America Next
Worry not, for the war on terror is over. Because Mr. Obama understands Muslims and treats them how they want to be treated, so why on earth would they want to see America destroyed? Besides, with all of the Muslim “It-Has-Nothing-To-Do-With-Islam” terrorists now on the run, what is there to worry about? …
Hadith, Saheeh Muslim 2889, “Verily Allah has shown me the eastern and western part of the earth, and I saw the authority of my Ummah (Islamic nation) dominate all that I saw.”
Revelation 13:12a, 15b, “It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast … and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.”
Qur’an: Sura 4:89, “Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers [non-Muslims] wherever you find them.”
WND – “During a radio interview Sunday, a representative of al-Qaida in the Gaza Strip sent a message to the United States: ‘Islam is coming and there is no other choice.’
That sentiment was expressed by Abu Saqer, leader of Jihadiya Salafiya in the Gaza Strip, speaking on ‘Aaron Klein Investigative Radio’ on New York’s WABC Radio.
Jihadiya Salafiya represents al-Qaida in the Gaza Strip.
Saqer further stated that after battling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the thousands of foreign jihadists currently in Syria could turn their ire on what he called the many other ‘enemies of Islam,’ including Israel and the United States.
Saqer did not say the spread of Islam in the U.S. will come through violence.
‘Islam is coming and there is no other choice,’ he told Klein about America and Europe.
‘Because we think Islam will come and this is something that no one can prevent,’ he stated.
‘And we will raise the Islamic flag on every point on earth where Muslims live and we will chase all the enemies of Islam wherever they are. Even in the West, in Europe and in the United States.’
Asked where he thinks the thousands of foreign jihadists fighting Assad will go next, Saqer replied, ‘After finishing with him, there are many enemies for Islam.’
He continued: ‘At the head the Zionist enemy and the United States. And the evolution on the ground in Syria will define where is the next target and who is the next target of the Mujahadeen.'” Read more.

Mideast Christians: Endangered In Their Ancestral Land, ‘Their Numbers Are Fast Dwindling’
Matthew 24:22,27, “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened… For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

By Noah Beck, The Commentator – “Last Saturday, Raymond Ibrahim reported on two more Muslim attacks on Egyptian churches, as ‘Egypt’s Christian Copts continue to be targeted and scapegoated for the ousting of the Muslim Brotherhood.’
As defenceless and abandoned as Mideast Christians seem today, it is worth remembering their historical roots, and recognising just how much the plight of Middle East Christians has deteriorated. Over 2,000 years ago, Christianity was born as a religion and spread from Jerusalem to other parts of the Levant, including territories in modern Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt.
The Christian faith flourished as one of the major religions in the Middle East until the Muslim conquests of the 7th century. Despite Muslim domination of the region, Christians comprised an estimated 20 percent of the Middle East population until the early 20th century.
Today, however, Christians make up a mere 2-5 percent of the Middle East and their numbers are fast dwindling. Writing in the Winter 2001 issue of Middle East Quarterly, scholar Daniel Pipes estimated that Middle East Christians would ‘likely drop to’ half of their numbers ‘by the year 2020’ because of declining birth rates, and a pattern of ‘exclusion and persecution’ leading to emigration.
The ‘Arab Spring’ has only worsened conditions for the indigenous Christians of the Middle East. Like the Kurds, Middle East Christians are a stateless minority, struggling to survive in the world’s toughest neighborhood.
But the Kurds at least have enjoyed partial autonomy in Iraqi Kurdistan since 1991 and most of them are Sunni Muslim, making it easier for them to survive in the Muslim-dominated Middle East. Christians, on the other hand, are a religious minority that controls no territory and is entirely subject to the whims of their hosts. These host countries – with the exception of Israel – offer a grim future to Middle East Christians.
Home to one of the oldest Christian communities in the world, Egypt also has the largest Christian population in the Middle East, totaling 8-12 million people. But because Christian Copts make up only about 10-15 percent of Egypt’s estimated 80 million people, they have for decades lived in fear as second-class citizens, subjected to attacks on churches, villages, homes, and shops; mob killings; and the abduction and forced Islamic conversion of Christian women compelled to marry Muslim men.
Such abuse took place under the staunchly secular regime of Hosni Mubarak, but grew much worse under the rule of Mohammed Morsi, the jailed Muslim Brotherhood activist who succeeded Mubarak, and they are now being blamed for Morsi’s ouster.
In Lebanon, Christians represent a bigger portion of the population, so their fate is for now less precarious than that of their Egyptian coreligionists, but their long-term prospects are worrisome. The Christian population is estimated to have dropped from over 50 percent (according to a 1932 census) to

Proverbs 17:12, “Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool bent on folly.”
By Joseph DeCaro, Worthy News – “Last week’s disappearance of an Italian Jesuit priest in Syria suggested foul play following the kidnappings of two other clergy in April, according to Morning Star News.
The Rev. Paolo Dall’Oglio was reportedly negotiating with the Al Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq for the release of hostages and peace between its militants and the Kurds. After Dall’Oglio went missing on July 29, Reuters reported that the Al Qaeda affiliate had kidnapped him.
Dall’Oglio’s disappearance comes three months after the kidnappings of the Greek Orthodox and Syriac Orthodox archbishops of Aleppo; Paul Yazigi and Yohanna Ibrahim were both kidnapped after gunmen intercepted their vehicle and killed its driver near Kafr Dael as the clergymen returned from a humanitarian relief mission on April 22. They are both believed to be held by Chechen jihadists.
Kidnappings of Christians in Syria are often for ransom, but as Al Qaeda-linked groups take over more territory with Christian populations, jihadists are now targeting them to either convert to Islam, or face torture and other violence, according to Ahmad Majidyar, a Middle Eastern Analyst for the American Enterprise Institute.
‘In the case of the Italian priest, the Al Qaeda-affiliated groups may also have been upset at his message of inter-faith and inter-ethnic harmony in Syria,’ Majidyar told Morning Star News.
Hundreds of Christians have been kidnapped and thousands more have fled Syria since the civil war began in 2011; many more have crossed into Lebanon and Turkey to obtain asylum Europe.
However, should Al Qaeda-affiliated groups end up in control of Syria, Christians who remain will not be able to live there and practice their religion freely, said Majidyar.
‘They would be given three choices: convert to Islam, leave the country, or suffer heavy punishments, including death and jizya, or the Islamic tax,’ he said.
Unlike other religious and ethnic groups in Syria, Christians do not have armed militias to protect them.” Source – Worthy News.
Al-Shabaab Terror Group Releases Video To Recruit Minnesota Muslims For Violent Jihad
Revelation 6:8a, “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him …”
CBS Minnesota – “MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s well documented that foreign terror groups have been working to bring in new recruits. In fact, more than two-dozen young Somali-Americans from the Twin Cities have already been lured to training camps overseas, mostly in Somalia.
Now, there’s growing concern over a propaganda video just released that’s trying to attract more young men to do the same.
The FBI believes Al-Shabaab is responsible for producing and releasing a 40-minute video that follows three Twin Cities men on the path to martyrdom.
For the past seven years, federal agents have been investigating and prosecuting Minnesota’s so-called ‘terror pipeline.’
With the country’s largest population of Somali-Americans, the Twin Cities has been fighting the recruitment of young men into Al-Shabaab and Al-Qaeda training camps overseas. Once trained, they engage in Jihad against the ruling factions in war-torn Somalia.
‘It is troubling, because it uses the medium of video to romanticize what it is to go to Somalia and fight,’ said the FBI’s Kyle Loven. ‘And it’s appealing, unfortunately, to some young men here in Minneapolis.’ …
Early Thursday morning, a video titled ‘Minnesota’s Martyrs: The Path to Paradise’ hit the internet.
The 40-minute video follows three young men — Dahir Gure, Muhammad Al Amriki and Mohamud Hassan — they leave the Twin Cities to join the training camps in Somalia. Hassan was an engineering student at the University of Minnesota. Amriki was a graduate of Roosevelt High School.
From their initial reasons to interviews on the battlefield, the men each pause to record their appeals for others back in Minnesota to join Jihad.
In the video, Gure is heard saying, ‘This is the real Disneyland. You need to come here and join us!’
But the video is both violent and extremely graphic: it follows each man to his death or ‘shakada.'” Read more.
Obama’s Irresponsible Withdrawal From Iraq Allowed Terrorists To Drive Iraq Toward Chaos, Lawlessness
Barack Obama: “As a candidate for president, I pledged to bring the war in Iraq to a responsible end.” Perhaps he should have simply pledged to be a failure. At least that way he would have actually made a promise he could keep …
By Ashish Kumar Sen, The Washington Times – “Security inside Iraq is unraveling at an alarming pace, and al Qaeda terrorists there aren’t just pulling the thread; they’re setting it on fire.
More than 1,000 Iraqis were killed in bombings and shootings last month, making July the deadliest month since violence between Sunni and Shiite Muslims peaked from 2006 to 2008, the United Nations says.
On Thursday, gunmen stormed a policeman’s home in Tikrit and killed him, his wife and their three children. When neighbors later approached the house, a nearby car bomb exploded and killed eight people — a noted al Qaeda tactic, though the terrorist group has not claimed responsibility for the attack.
In the past week alone, more than 85 Iraqis have been gunned down or blown up.
‘We are certainly seeing a rise of al Qaeda in Iraq,’ said Anthony Cordesman, a defense analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Jessica Lewis, a research director at the Institute for the Study of War, said in a recent report that al Qaeda in Iraq is ‘now setting the terms of battle in Iraq for the first time since 2006.’
Iraq’s slide toward chaos began in the aftermath of the 2011 withdrawal of U.S. troops, who had mostly secured the country after its eruption of sectarian violence.
Al Qaeda in Iraq, predominantly Sunni extremists, has claimed responsibility for scores of deadly attacks in its long-running efforts to disrupt the Shiite-led government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Its insurgency is part of a trend in which the global terrorist network’s affiliates have asserted themselves throughout the Arab world.
This week, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the American consulates in the Iraqi cities of Basra and Erbil were among more than two dozen U.S. diplomatic facilities in the Middle East, Asia and Africa that were closed because of concerns about an imminent terrorist attack. The facilities in Iraq reopened Monday.
‘The growing Sunni rebellion in Iraq has fueled the resurgence [of al Qaeda in Iraq], as has the fact that the U.S. isn’t there providing intelligence, backstopping the Iraqi security forces or continuing to train and keep up their skill levels,’ said Kenneth Katzman, an analyst of Middle Eastern affairs at the Congressional Research Service.” Read more.

Pakistan: US State Department Evacuates Nearly All American Diplomats From US Consulate After Receiving ‘Specific’ Terror Threat
“When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.” – Osama Bin Laden …
Revelation 13:4, “And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?‘”

By Hayley Peterson, Daily Mail – “The State Department has evacuated most of its diplomats from Lahore, Pakistan in response to terrorist threats against the U.S. consulate, according to senior officials.
‘We have picked up what we regard as a threat worthy of taking this action,’ a senior U.S. official told CNN.
All diplomats were ordered to evacuate Thursday except for a few emergency personnel. The diplomats were reportedly moved to Islamabad.
The threat in Lahore is reportedly unrelated to the ongoing terror threat against U.S. personnel that has prompted the closures of diplomatic posts throughout the Middle East and Africa. No U.S. posts in Pakistan had been closed due to the earlier threat.
In a warning to U.S. citizens in Pakistan, the State Department said it ‘ordered this drawdown due to specific threats concerning the U.S. Consulate in Lahore.’
‘The presence of several foreign and indigenous terrorist groups poses a potential danger to U.S. citizens throughout Pakistan,’ the warning said.” Read more.
Is Al Qaeda On The Run, Or Is America?
Revelation 13:4, “And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?‘”
By Katie Pavlich, Town Hall – “Last week, I reminded readers of President Obama’s claims before the 2012 election that al Qaeda was ‘on the run’ and ‘decimated.’ Not only is al Qaeda not ‘on the run,’ many analysts say they are as strong, if not stronger, than they were before 9/11.
Over the weekend on Fox News Sunday, the Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol again reminded Americans of Obama’s phony claim.
“Four years ago President Obama gave a much heralded speech as outreach to the Muslim world,” Kristol said. “And now, four years later we are closing embassies throughout the Muslim world. A year ago, the president said al-Qaida is on the run. And now we seem to be on the run.”
“I’m not criticizing the decision to close the embassies. That’s probably the right thing to do for the sake of trying to save American lives and others, but it’s a terrible thing,” he added. “That you know, just a year ago boasting al-Qaida is on the run and Osama bin Laden is dead.”
Obama’s so-called outreach and pandering to the Muslim world isn’t working. We had the first terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 and the first murder of a U.S. ambassador in 30 years under his watch. Al Qaeda isn’t ‘on the run’ and terrorism is very much alive.” Source – Townhall.
Report: Al Qaeda Flag Hoisted Above Churches While Anti-Christian Fury Takes On ‘Genocidal Proportions’ In Egypt
By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “Days ago, al-Qaeda’s Egyptian leader, Ayman Zawahiri, portrayed the overthrow of Muhammad Morsi and the Brotherhood as a ‘Crusader’ campaign led by Coptic Pope Tawadros II who, according to Zawahiri and other terrorists, is trying to create a Coptic state in Egypt.
Since then, not only are Egypt’s Christians and churches now being attacked in ways unprecedented in the modern era, but new reports indicate that al-Qaeda’s black flag has been raised on some of them, specifically St. George Church in Sohag.
Considering that it was al-Qaeda linked terrorists who initiated one of the bloodiest church attacks in recent history, the 2010 Baghdad church attack in which nearly 60 Christians were slaughtered (click here for graphic images), al-Qaeda’s singling out Egypt’s Christians looks alarming.
The Islamic terrorist organization’s incitement against the Copts is just the latest emanating from Islamists — from the top of the Brotherhood leadership to the bottom of the ‘Muslim street’ — and is creating something of an ‘open season’ on Egypt’s Christians.
Days after the overthrow of Morsi, the supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badie, was first to attack by Coptic Pope Tawadros by name for supporting the popular June 30 revolution, which saw tens of millions of Egyptians take to the streets. After Badie demonized the Copts, assaults on Christians began in earnest. Many churches were attacked and burned, and several Christians were murdered in Upper Egypt; over in the Sinai, a young Coptic priest was shot dead, while the body of Magdy Lam’i Habib, a Christian, was found mutilated and beheaded. Due to the many death threats to Pope Tawadros, he has left the papal residence at the St. Mark Cathedral, which was earlier savagely attacked when Morsi was still president.
This anti-Christian fury is far from sated; it has taken on genocidal proportions. While Al Jazeera was covering (and distorting) events in Egypt, a Libyan man, Tamar Rashad called in and said, ‘I want to offer the good news to [Pope] Tawadros that, Allah willing, the day is coming when no Copt will ever again tread the ground of Egypt — and no churches. We will no longer allow churches to exist.’ When the host appeared to protest, Rashad interrupted him saying, ‘It’s already decided, take your cameras and go to the churches and you’ll see what’s going to happen soon Read more…
‘Kill Them All’: Death-Loving Muslim Tells Alabama Court That Islam’s Goal Is To Rule The World With The Sword Of Jihad
Imagine that, a bit of honesty from a death-loving terror-supporting Islamist. While we’re on the subject of honesty, here’s a bit more: There will be no paradise with 72 virgins for this jihadist. It’ll be prison, with 72 non-virgins …
Revelation 6:4, “Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.”
The “Prophet” Mohammed, Al Bukhari Hadith 2977, “I have been made victorious with terror.”
By Brendan Kirby, AL.com – “MOBILE, Alabama – A Syracuse, New York, native pleaded guilty Tuesday to a terrorism charge, admitting that he moved here and discussed carrying out violent acts in the United States before settling on a plot to join a jihadist movement overseas.
Mohammad Abdul Rahman Abukhdair, 25, had been scheduled to go on trial later this year. On the day of his pretrial conference Tuesday, the defendant switched his plea to guilty.
Federal prosecutors have agreed to recommend a 15-year prison sentence for the charge of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. They will ask U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose to dismiss a passport fraud charge.
The plea comes four months after co-defendant Randy ‘Rasheed’ Wilson, pleaded guilty in the case. Both men now will be sentenced in December.
Although the defendants ultimately agreed to fight for Islam in Africa, court records indicate that Abukhdair initially favored terrorism at home. At one point, during a conversation about AQI – al-Qaida in Iraq – Abuhkdair suggested he and Wilson would be AQUSA – al-Qaida in the United States.
‘I don’t know if you guys understand the greatness of a jihad operation in the United States, man,’ he told Wilson and an undercover FBI agent in February of last year, according to a partial transcript of the conversation.
Abukhdair told the agent that an Egyptian sheik was wrong to suggest that he give up jihad for a more peaceful form of proselytizing known as ‘dawah.’ The goal of Islam, the defendant said, was to take over the world, and the means of achieving that goal was the sword of jihad.
The recorded conversations indicate that Abukhdair suggested taking hostages and demanding the release of Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, the so-called ‘Blind Sheik’ implicated in a 1993 bombing at the World Trade Center; and Aafia Siddiqui, a scientist serving an 86-year prison sentence for assault with intent to murder investigators who were interrogating her in 2008.
‘We just shoot it out with police,’ Abukhdair said on Feb. 3 of last year, according to his plea document.
And if U.S. officials did not comply with their demands, the defendant said, ‘Well, at the very least, we kill them all.'” Read more.
