Iran’s Final Verdict: Allah’s Law Has Spoken, Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani Should Be Killed for Rejecting Islam
Revelation 13:15, “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
John 16:2b, “… the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God.”
By Lisa Daftari – “A trial court in Iran has issued its final verdict, ordering a Christian pastor to be put to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity, according to sources close to the pastor and his legal team.
Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years.
It is unclear whether Nadarkhani can appeal the execution order.
‘The world needs to stand up and say that a man cannot be put to death because of his faith,’ said Jordan Sekulow, executive director of The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).
‘This one case is not just about one execution. We have been able to expose the system instead of just letting one man disappear, like so many other Christians have in the past.’
It is also feared that Nadarkhani will be executed in retaliation as Iran endures crippling sanctions and international pressure in response to its nuclear agenda and rogue rhetoric. The number of executions in Iran has increased significantly in the last month.
‘This is defiance,’ Sekulow said. ‘They want to say they will carry out what they say they will do.'” Read more.
Pakistan: Islamic Extremists Attack Christian Community in Faisalabad, Two Seriously Wounded
“Faisalabad (AsiaNews / Agencies) – A dozen armed Muslims stormed the Grace Ministry Church in Faisalabad, seriously wounding two Christians. Sajid Masih was hit by bullets and is in critical condition in hospital, the man risks having his amputated arm. Another member of the Protestant community, Boota Masih, was pushed from the roof – a height of about six meters – after being struck repeatedly with a rifle butt. The extremist raid was sparked by charges that church was trying to evangelize Muslims in an attempt to convert them to Christianity. The community several times in the past has been the subject of assault and the pastor and his family the subject of death threats.
Sources of Pakistan Christian Post reported that Sajid (pictured) and Boota were transported to hospital for a delicate operation, which lasted over four hours. Doctors have removed a bullet from Sajid’s arm, but his condition remains serious and they may decide to amputate the arm that is at risk of gangrene. The bullet pierced the arm and is lodged in his rib.
The attack took place at Grace Ministry Church yesterday and the Christian community is still in shock. Meanwhile, the police, instead of pursuing the perpetrators of violence, have opened an investigation against the Rev. Altaf Khan – pastor of the community – and 20 other faithful. The agents have already arrested the driver Pervaiz Masih, another Christian faithful called Nazish Nadeem, along with two guards, security officers, Rafiq Masih and Shahzad.
The Protestant church was founded in 1987 and has recently undergone intense pressure attacks, and allegations of proselytizing. Over the past two months, says Rev. Khan, ‘I and my family have received death threats from extremists and terrorists.’ The charge of proselytism was made by the only Muslim family, who lives in the street home to the Grace Ministry Church Faisalabad. ‘Some Christian groups and Muslims – said the rev. Khan -jealous of our ministry have financed and supported terrorist groups in their attacks.'” Source – AsiaNews.
Israeli Navy Reveals New German-Made Nuclear Super-Sub, ‘Most Advanced Underwater Vessel’ Constructed by Germany Since WWII
By Udi Etsion – “Israel’s ‘doomsday weapon’ revealed? The Navy will soon begin its test-deployment of Israel’s new super-submarine, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.
The report quoted various foreign newspapers as saying that the new Dolphin-Class submarine’s systems will enable it to spends prolonged periods of time at sea and fire nuclear missiles.
The submarine, names the ‘INS Tannin,’ is also said to be equipped with special diesel and hydrogen conversion systems that will allow it to produce its own fuel; as well as with a stealth system making its acoustic signature virtually undetectable by sonar.
The INS Tannin (‘Alligator’) is the namesake of the Israel Navy’s first ever S-Class submarine, which was retired from active duty in 1972.
According to German media, the Tannin – which will be supplied by the end of 2012 – is the first of three super-submarine slated to eventually be deployed by the Navy. A second super-sub – the INS Rahav (‘Splendor’) will arrive in 2014 and the third, which has yet to be named, by 2015.
Germany’s Kieler Nachrichten newspaper said that the super-sub is the biggest and most advanced underwater vessel to be constructed in Germany since World War II.” Read more.
Taliban to All Afghans: Kill Non-Muslims Over Qur’an Burnings, Two US Soldiers Killed by Uniformed Afghan Army Soldier
Here’s an update on this story …
“KABUL, Afghanistan — The Taliban urged Afghans Thursday to target foreign military bases and kill Westerners in retaliation for burnings of copies of the Quran at NATO’s main base in the country as a third day of violent protests began.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered across the country, some chanting ‘Death to America!’, Reuters witnesses and officials said. In eastern Kabul, hundreds of youths threw rocks at police, who fired shots into the air to try disperse the crowds.
‘Our brave people must target the military bases of invader forces, their military convoys and their invader bases,’ read an emailed Taliban statement released by the insurgency’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid. ‘They have to kill them (Westerners), beat them and capture them to give them a lesson to never dare desecrate the holy Quran again.’
However, provincial officials and police said Thursday that there were peaceful demonstrations in three eastern provinces to vent anger over the Quran burnings.
More than 2,000 people turned out at the biggest demonstration in the capital of eastern Laghman province, officials and police said.” Read more.
Afghanistan: 2 US soldiers reportedly killed by Afghan, as Obama apologizes over Quran burning – “President Barack Obama apologized to Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the burning of Qurans by NATO troops, calling the act an inadvertent ‘error,’ Karzai’s office and National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said Thursday. ‘We will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, including holding accountable those responsible,’ Obama said in the letter, which was delivered by U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ryan Crocker… Two American troops were killed Thursday by a person wearing an Afghan National Army uniform, a U.S. official said, asking not to be named discussing casualties.” Read more.
Iran: Churches Forced to Stop Farsi-Language Worship Services in Tehran
“ISTANBUL, February 17 (CDN) — Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has ordered the last two officially registered churches holding Friday Farsi-language services in Tehran to discontinue them.
Emmanuel Protestant Church and St. Peter’s Evangelical Church were the last two official churches offering Farsi-language services on Fridays in Tehran, according to Middle East Concern (MEC). Officials issued the order on Feb. 10
Authorities had ordered the Central Church of Tehran to close its Friday Farsi services in December 2009. The Central Church, an Assemblies of God (AOG) congregation, had conducted multiple services on Fridays.
Friday services in Tehran attracted the city’s converts to Christianity as well as Muslims interested in Christianity, as Friday is most Iranians’ day off during the week. Authorities told the churches they can hold the services on Sunday, a working day when most Iranians are not able to attend.
‘This decision means that there are now no Farsi-language services on Fridays in any officially registered church in Tehran,’ an MEC report issued this week stated.
Emmanuel and St. Peter’s are Presbyterian churches, and, along with the Central Church, are among Tehran’s few registered churches. They exist mainly to serve the Armenian and Assyrian communities. The three churches’ Armenian- and Assyrian- language services are typically held on Sundays.
Because these churches belong to minority groups, government officials cannot stop them from operating but are doing what they can to limit them and the spread of Christianity to Farsi speakers, an Iranian Christian who requested anonymity told Compass.
‘Authorities want church operations to stop, but because these churches are established by Armenians and Assyrians and their leaders are Armenian and Assyrian, they can’t stop them,’ the source said, ‘but they can stop the Farsi-speaking services.’
The source said that the newest restrictions have cut the two churches’ attendance by half.” Read more.
Iran Threatens Pre-Emptive Action Amid Nuclear Tensions
NBC – “TEHRAN, Iran — Iran would take pre-emptive action against its enemies if it felt its national interests were endangered, the deputy head of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces was quoted by a semi-official news agency as saying Tuesday.
‘Our strategy now is that if we feel our enemies want to endanger Iran’s national interests, and want to decide to do that, we will act without waiting for their actions,’Mohammad Hejazi told the Fars news agency, NBC News reported.
Iran announced air defense war games to practice protecting nuclear and other sensitive sites, the latest in a series of military maneuvers viewed as a message to the West that Iran is prepared both to defend itself against an armed strike and to retaliate.
The U.S. and Israel have not ruled out military action against Iran’s nuclear program.
The official news agency IRNA said the four-day air defense war games, dubbed ‘Sarallah,’ or ‘God’s Revenge,’ were taking place in the south of the country and involve anti-aircraft batteries, radar, and warplanes.” Read more.
The Washington Times: If Iran already has the bomb, what then? – “A majority of Americans support a military strike to stop or slow Iran’s nuclear weapons program. But that assumes Iran doesn’t already have some. What if Iran already has one or more nuclear weapons and the capability to make a nuclear strike on the United States – right now? If true, this would change the calculation for the American people. Then the risks of a U.S. or Israeli military attack on Iran’s nuclear program would change radically. The truth is, no one knows for sure just how far advanced Iran’s nuclear weapons program is. There are sound reasons for doubting Washington’s official estimates that Iran does not yet have the bomb or the ability to make a nuclear strike on the United States.” Read more.
Flashback: Former Ambassador John Bolton: Iran May Be Much Closer to a Nuclear Bomb Than the World Realizes – “A report that Iran is about a year away from having the capability to build a nuclear bomb may be too optimistic, contended John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. ‘I worry the publicly available information is giving only a very small picture and that Iran is actually even much further along,’ Bolton said today in a radio interview. Bolton was on ‘Aaron Klein Investigative Radio’ on New York’s WABC Radio… Reacting to the one-year timeline, Bolton stated, ‘I think it can be even less than that.’” Read more.
Iran Poised to Greatly Expand Uranium Enrichment Capability, Former Netanyahu Chief of Staff Says Israeli Strike on Iran ‘Imminent’
By Madeleine Morgenstern – “The former chief of staff to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday an Israeli strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities is ‘imminent.’
Naftali Bennett appeared on Fox News’ ‘Huckabee’ and painted a dire picture of a world with a nuclear Iran, saying Israel will not hesitate to take action if necessary — and that time is of the essence.
‘We’re at the very last moment. This is going to be the first time in history that a maniacal, radical Islamic regime will acquire a nuclear weapon,’ he said. ‘The day after they have a bomb will be a different day for the entire world.’
On Saturday, a report emerged saying Iran is headed for a major nuclear expansion, the same day as reports that Iranian warships had passed through the Suez Canal.
Calling Iran ‘an octopus of terror,’ Bennett told host Mike Huckabee in no uncertain terms: ‘We have to stop them, and yes, it is imminent.’
Huckabee questioned whether Israel would be able to sustain a ‘hot war’ against Iran, to which Bennett replied, ‘if necessary we will.'” Read more.
AP Exclusive: Iran poised for big nuke jump – ” Iran is poised to greatly expand uranium enrichment at a fortified underground bunker to a point that would boost how quickly it could make nuclear warheads, diplomats tell The Associated Press. They said Tehran has put finishing touches for the installation of thousands of new-generation centrifuges at the cavernous facility – machines that can produce enriched uranium much more quickly and efficiently than its present machines.” Read more.

The ships from Iran’s 18th fleet – which is comprised of a Khark supplier and Shahid Naqdi destroyers – had stopped in Jedda, Saudi Arabia earlier this month, according to Iran’s state Press TV. Earlier Saturday, Iranian Admiral Habibollah Sayari told a crowd of military leaders and naval personnel that the ships had crossed the Canal for the ‘second time since the Islamic revolution,’ according to the Iran’s official IRNA.” Read more.
US Lawmakers Urge Electronic Banking System SWIFT to Drop Iranian Banks, ‘This Is As Serious As It Gets’ in Economic Terms
By Roberta Rampton – “U.S. Senators agreed on Thursday to a plan that would pressure a global electronic platform used by the world’s banks to stop providing services to Iranian banks blacklisted by the U.S. Treasury.
The proposed measure is part of a package of new sanctions passed by the Senate Banking Committee that lawmakers hope will further crimp revenues that they say Tehran is using to develop nuclear weapons. Iran denies seeking nuclear arms.
If accepted, the provision would push the White House to press SWIFT, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, to shut out Iran’s central bank and its other financial institutions from the infrastructure used for moving money between banks around the world.” Read more.
Jim Sinclair: ‘This is as serious as it gets in nuclear and economic terms’ – “Iran is to be dropped out of the Swift system in Belgium. That means Iran could neither send or receive bank money wires. That would slam Iran’s economy. This is economic war at the highest level of conflict. This could start a greater move of central banks with fears of the West to increase and retrieve their gold positions. It certainly puts cash reserves held by central banks (which are computer entries anyway) into serious question as to security. This is as serious as it gets in nuclear and economic terms. The only weapon that can be effective against Iran’s nuclear industry is Western nuclear deep penetration bunker busters. Hold tight to your insurance investment positions.” Source – SGT Report.
US Senators Introduce Resolution Backing Use of Military Force Against Iran (Video)
Former Israeli Ambassador Dan Gillerman on Senate Resolution: “… the Senators are right. The clock is ticking. Iran has to do the right thing and abolish it’s nuclear program, otherwise military action against Iran will be inevitable and I assure you, Megan, that if the US does not do it — and I hope they do — Israel will, because I would rather have the world … condemn a living Israel than console a dead Israel. We will not wait for that to happen.”
Gullible: US, EU Welcome Iran Nuclear Letter, Suggest Talks
As hopeful as we should all be for any chance of peace, don’t be surprised if (when) this proves to be yet another Iranian ruse. Offering “talks” or “dialogue” in the form of statements or letters is the Iranian version of a “hudna” that has again and again and again done nothing but given the Ayatollah death cult something that money could never buy: Time. And now Iran is on the cusp of developing nuclear weapons. I get the distinct impression that a “cautiously optimistic” West may once again prove itself to be hopelessly naive …
By Andrew Quinn and Arshad Mohammed – “(Reuters) – The United States and European Union expressed cautious optimism on Friday over prospects that Iran may be willing to engage major powers in new talks, but underscored any resumed negotiations must be sustained and focus on the nuclear issue.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton told reporters that Iran’s recent letter to Ashton might mark a step forward.
‘We think this is an important step and we welcome the letter,’ Clinton said in a joint meeting with Ashton. She stressed that the major powers were still reviewing their formal response to Tehran’s offer.
Ashton, who handles contact with Iran on behalf of the ‘P5+1’ group comprised of the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany, said the letter showed ‘a potential possibility that Iran may be ready to start talks.’
Iran’s letter to Ashton, which was obtained by Reuters on Thursday, proposed resuming the stalled talks and said Tehran would have ‘new initiatives’ to bring to the table.
But the brief letter, which responded to a letter Ashton sent to her Iranian counterpart in October, offered no specific proposals, leaving a question mark over Tehran’s willingness to enter substantive negotiations on its nuclear work.” Read more.
Flashback: Iran won’t retreat ‘one iota’ from nuclear path, says Ahmadinejad – “Iran won’t retreat ‘one iota’ from its nuclear program and the world is being misled by claims it seeks atomic weapons, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday. His comments — broadcast live on state TV and his first since a UN watchdog report said Tehran is on the brink of developing a nuclear warhead — contrasted sharply with Western warnings that Iran appears to be engaged in a dangerous defiance of international demands to control its nuclear ambitions. In Paris, French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said his country would support boosting sanctions against Tehran to an ‘unprecedented scale’ if Iran stonewalls investigations, even as Israel and others say that military options are still possible.” Read more.

Muslim Terrorist Headed for US Capitol with ‘Suicide Vest’ is Arrested by Federal Agents
He was simply hoping to spread the religion of peace. Over a wide area …
By Mike Levine – “Authorities arrested and charged Friday a Virginia man allegedly on his way to the U.S. Capitol for what he thought would be a suicide attack on one of the nation’s most symbolic landmarks.
The federal criminal complaint against the suspect identifies him as Amine El Khalifi, a 29-year-old Moroccan citizen who has been living in the United States illegally since 1999 after his visa expired. He was nabbed following a lengthy investigation by the FBI, initiated after he allegedly expressed interest in conducting an attack. Court documents say he came onto the radar screen in early December after he told an undercover agent about an earlier plan to bomb a northern Virginia building.
According to charging documents, he first entered the country that year on a tourist visa, which expired and was never renewed. Khalifi was charged Friday in U.S. District Court in northern Virginia with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.
The suspect allegedly weighed hitting various targets ranging from a military installation to synagogues to a Washington restaurant before settling on the Capitol.
The man thought undercover FBI agents assisting him in his plot were associates of Al Qaeda. He purchased bomb materials including jackets, nails and glue in preparation for an attack. He even conducted a test explosives demonstration in a quarry.
When he was arrested Friday in Washington, he was carrying with him a vest that he had been led to believe was packed with explosives, but the material inside was not actually dangerous, Fox News was told.
A short time earlier, Khalifi had been praying at a mosque in the Washington area. His destination was Capitol Hill.” Read more.

Report: US Military Ordered to Prepare for Iran Operation Between March and October
By F. Michael Maloof – “WASHINGTON – Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta believes that Israel could attack Iran in an April-to-June timeframe, and there apparently has been a decision made for the U.S. to help in an assault on the radical Islamic nation’s nuclear facilities.
U.S. military sources tell WND that the Pentagon has begun preparations for ‘a number of operational plans and counter-operations,’ with a Feb. 22 due date for submitting the plans.
There also is a request for identifying U.S. forces ‘by 1 March with a ‘through’ date of October.’
The military sources indicated that U.S. forces will be augmented by an Aegis warship, presumably one of the two in the U.S. carrier task forces scheduled to be in the Persian Gulf.
The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln carrier task force already has re-entered the Gulf.
The Aegis combat system on U.S. Navy ships is used to track and guide weapons to destroy intended targets and to act as a protective shield to counter ballistic missile threats…
Pentagon spokesman Navy Cmdr. Bill Speaks told WND there was ‘nothing to what your sources are saying,’ but he also quickly added that the Pentagon ‘doesn’t discuss what future contingency plans we have, and I am not going to discuss this with you.'” Read more.
