By Barak Ravid – “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday blasted Israeli and world politicians who support the Arab Spring revolutions and accused the Arab world of ‘moving not forward, but backward.’

In his sharpest Knesset comment since the wave of uprisings swept out of Tunisia and across the Arab states in January, Netanyahu expressed his complete contempt for the Arab people’s ability to sustain democratic regimes, and his nostalgia for Hosni Mubarak’s regime in Egypt. He said he feared the collapse of Jordan’s Hashemite monarchy and also reiterated his absolute refusal to make any concessions to the Palestinians.

‘In February, when millions of Egyptians thronged to the streets in Cairo, commentators and quite a few Israeli members of the opposition said that we’re facing a new era of liberalism and progress…They said I was trying to scare the public and was on the wrong side of history and don’t see where things are heading,’ he said.

But time has proved him right, Netanyahu said. His forecast that the Arab Spring would turn into an ‘Islamic, anti-Western, anti-liberal, anti-Israeli and anti-democratic wave’ turned out to be true, he said.

Netanyahu also slammed Western leaders, and especially U.S. President Barak Obama, who had pushed Mubarak to resign from power. At the time this was happening Netanyahu said in closed talks that the American administration and many European leaders don’t understand reality. On Wednesday, he called them ‘naive.'” Read more.

By Chana Ya’ar – “A secret Hizbullah terrorist warehouse exploded overnight near the coastal city of Tyre, located in southern Lebanon not far from Israel’s northern border, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Beirut.

The blast occurred in an area under the control of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Nevertheless, Hizbullah forces have prevented security personnel from reaching the site, making it impossible to obtain any information about what actually happened.

A UNIFIL spokesman told reporters, ‘We have no information as yet,’ in response to questions about the explosion. The international force is expected to investigate.

Hizbullah has boasted that the group possesses tens of thousands of missiles of varying ranges that it can aim at Israel whenever it chooses.

U.N. Resolution 1701, the ceasefire agreement that ended the Second Lebanon War in 2006, specifically prohibits Hizbullah from storing munitions or other ordnance in southern Lebanon.” Source – Arutz Sheva.

Report: Hezbollah considering military coup if Assad falls – “Hezbollah’s leadership is considering the possibility of taking control of Beirut and effectively carrying out a military coup in Lebanon should the current Syrian regime fall, the al-Arabia network reported Tuesday. According to the report, Hezbollah members have expressed concerns over the escalation of the civil uprising in Syria, which could lead to the fall of Bashar Assad’s regime. The Syrian president is an ally of the Lebanese Shiite group. Sources close to Hezbollah noted that it was due to those concerns that the Hezbollah leadership was examining various scenarios – including a ‘broad maneuver on the ground,’ similar to the takeover of Beirut in May 2008. However, the current plans apparently include a much more extensive maneuver which may expand to a military coup. ‘As soon as Hezbollah will sense that the collapse of Assad’s regime is imminent, armed cells will quickly begin operating to seize control of Beirut’s eastern and western parts,’ one of the sources told al-Arabia.” Read more.

Turkey warns Assad his days are numbered – “Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday that his days as leader were numbered and he cannot remain in power indefinitely through military force. After reports that two buses carrying Turkish pilgrims came under attack in Syria, Erdogan said his one-time ally’s defiant refusal to end a bloody crackdown on protesters had increased the prospects of foreign intervention. ‘You can remain in power with tanks and cannons only up to a certain point. The day will come when you’ll also leave,’ Erdogan told a meeting in Istanbul. ‘Someone shows up and says ‘I’ll fight and die. Against whom will you fight? Will you fight against your Muslim brothers you rule in your country?’ said Erdogan.” Read more.

If the Iranians acquire a nuclear bomb, they might be able to cripple their ‘Great Satan’ even sooner through an electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, attack off America’s coastline.

‘Within a year of an EMP event, at least two-thirds of the American population would perish from starvation, disease, and societal collapse. It’s a high-tech means of killing people the old fashioned way,’ Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, president of EMPact America, explained.

A nuclear weapon detonated above the U.S. would emit powerful electromagnetic pulses, frying America’s electrical grid and shutting down necessities from cars to computers to airplanes and refrigerators.

Iranian military handbooks point out the benefits of such an attack. Russia, China, and North Korea also possess EMP technology.

Pry, a member of the congressional EMP Commission, said America could plunge back into the 19th century, with Katrina-like chaos nationwide.

‘A single nuclear weapon will cause the collapse of the electric power grid, all the critical infrastructures and other electronic systems across the entire continental United States and basically cause a permanent blackout,’ he told CBN News.

Pry’s nightmare scenario shows Iran or its terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, parking an unmarked freighter off America’s East Coast or in the Gulf of Mexico.

They would fire a nuclear-tipped scud above a city like New York, then immediately sink the freighter to destroy evidence of their handiwork.

‘Even if we were able to identify the scud by our radars, we wouldn’t be able to identify who did it,’ he explained. ‘This is a way of keeping your fingerprints off it.'” Read more.

Is Iran claiming to have secret “hidden energy” weapon to use against Israel and America? – “Iran dares Israel to attack, because the retaliation would send the Jewish state to ‘the dustbin of history,’ a senior Revolutionary Guards commander said, according to the Fars news agency Monday. ‘Our greatest wish is that they commit such a mistake,’ the chief of the Guards’ aerospatial division, Amir-Ali Hadjizadeh, was quoted as saying. ‘For some time there has been a hidden energy we hope to expend to consign the enemies of Islam forever to the dustbin of history,’ he said. ‘Our ballistic (missile) capacity never ceases to grow,’ he added. The comments were one of the most belligerent reactions yet by an Iranian official to speculation that Israel was considering launching air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.” Read more.

By Gil Ronen – “An Israeli attack on nuclear sites in Iran would go beyond air strikes from fighter planes and likely include electronic warfare against Iran’s electric grid, Internet, cellphone network, and emergency frequencies for fire and police services, according to a report by Eli Lake, a correspondent for Newsweek and the Daily Beast.

For much of the last decade, writes Lake, ‘Israel has been assembling a multibillion-dollar array of high-tech weapons that would allow it to jam, blind, and deafen Tehran’s defenses in the case of a pre-emptive aerial strike.’

U.S. intelligence officials are reported as saying that Israel has developed a weapon capable of mimicking a maintenance cellphone signal that commands a cell network to ‘sleep,’ effectively stopping transmissions. The Israelis ‘also have jammers capable of creating interference within Iran’s emergency frequencies for first responders,’ they said.

In the 2007 attack on a suspected nuclear site in Syria, Israeli planes ‘spoofed’ the enemy’s air-defense radars, ‘at first making it appear that no jets were in the sky and then in an instant making the radar believe the sky was filled with hundreds of planes,’ Lake writes.” Read more.

War coming in the Middle East? – “How big a concern is Israel’s growing insecurity? Will it lead it to go to war? The U.S. government is turning some screws on Iran, and Israel continues to fret in public. I’ve heard talk of an attack coming but I don’t understand what Israel might gain from doing so, especially because it isn’t clear that air strikes could really take apart much of the Iranian nuclear program, or even do as much damage as Stuxnet did. On the other hand, with Egypt, Libya and Syria in turmoil and Iraq about to be stripped of any air defense capability… Meanwhile, in Iran, satellite imagery shows stepped-up activity at an alleged nuke site. And Ahmadinejad’s press guy was arrested. I wonder if that is the Middle Eastern political equivalent of fish and birds sensing an imminent earthquake.” Source.

Take one Obama Administration, toss in a pint of protest, add a generous amount of blind political correctness and questionable judgments, and let it simmer on high for a few years.  You’ve got yourself a homemade recipe for disaster that will one day leave a very bitter taste in the mouths of the American people …

By Robert Spencer – “Last Friday around 500 Muslims in New York marched to NYPD headquarters in lower Manhattan to protest police infiltration of mosques and surveillance in Muslim areas. It is noteworthy that we have never, in 10 years since 9/11, seen Muslims anywhere in the U.S. mount a demonstration of comparable size against Islamic jihad terrorism and the supposed ‘hijacking’ of Islam by terrorists. Even worse, the protesters failed to explain how they would propose to stop Islamic jihad terrorism in the U.S. without this kind of vigilance.

One protester asserted: ‘Had this been happening to any other religious group, all of America would be outraged.’ That is probably true, because no other religious group has provided any cause for such surveillance. If any group did so, then it would be incumbent upon the NYPD and all other law enforcement bodies to do the same things they have done in reaction to Islamic jihad terrorism, while of course ending immediately any surveillance or other procedure that violates constitutional protections.

For these protesters to have behaved as if the surveillance of their mosques and communities was motivated by simple ‘racism’ and ‘Islamophobia’ required them to ignore a particularly significant elephant in the room: the ongoing and increasingly common reality of jihad terror plots in the United States. And ignore it they did: ‘We’re peaceful people. We don’t deserve to be under surveillance,’ said one protester. Another complained: ‘They think that all Muslims are criminals, and it’s not right.’

Those words recalled a prominent Muslim saying in 2010 that he wanted to combat ‘Islamophobia’ and ‘to try and put a good positive spin out there that Islam is a good, peaceful religion. We’re not all terrorists, you know?’

Those were the words of Naser Abdo, a Muslim soldier in the U.S. Army who was granted conscientious objector status because he did not want to fight against his fellow Muslims in Afghanistan. After gaining this status, Abdo found a novel way to put a ‘positive spin out there,’ and show that ‘we’re not all terrorists.’ He began plotting to construct bombs and detonate them in a crowded restaurant full of soldiers from Fort Hood, where another Muslim, U.S. Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Malik Hasan​, murdered 13 Americans in a jihad attack in November 2009. Abdo defiantly admitted his guilt in court, and even cried out, ‘Nidal Hasan Fort Hood 2009.’

Abdo’s case doesn’t mean that every self-described believer in Islam as a ‘good, peaceful religion’ is a murderous liar as he was, but it does illustrate the fact that assurances are not enough from peaceful Muslims—and protests against law enforcement certainly aren’t any help, either.” Read more.

Mother of Homegrown NY Jihadist: ‘My Son Was a Normal American Guy … Then He Became a Muslim and He Changed’ – “Sosa said her son’s personality began to change after the then-teenager swapped salsa for Islam about five years ago. ‘My son was a normal American guy,’ she said. ‘He did what young people do. Then he became a Muslim and he changed.’ … When he started reading the Koran in 2001, Sosa wasn’t happy because she’s a Catholic, but she noted that ‘in beginning, he wasn’t a fanatic.’ ‘He prayed and went to the mosque,’ she said. Over time, he stopped writing and listening to salsa music and spent his days praying, reading and sleeping. She said Pimentel’s fierce embrace of Islam — he converted in 2004, according to police — prompted her to move him back to the city from Schenectady in early 2010. ‘I brought him here because I didn’t like the way he was acting,’ she said… The move did not dampen his fervor.” Read more.

“Russia on Tuesday dismissed the new Western sanctions targeting Iran’s financial and energy sectors as ‘unacceptable,’ warning that such measures would hurt the chances of renewing talks with Tehran over its nuclear program.

‘We again underline that the Russian Federation considers such extraterritorial measures unacceptable and contradictory to international law,’ Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in the statement.

Iran’s foreign ministry also condemned the new measures as a ‘show [of] the hostility of these countries toward Iran.’

‘These sanctions are futile repetitious efforts which will not affect Iran’s economy,’ Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said in Tehran. ‘Such illogical, intimidating moves are propaganda and psychological war which however will not change our nation’s will but just make us more united.’

Italy, meanwhile, offered its full backing to the economic sanctions against Iran announced by the U.S. government, new Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said on Tuesday, adding to international pressure against Tehran’s nuclear programme.

‘Italy supports with full conviction the plan for economic sanctions announced by the U.S. administration,’ the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Tough new sanctions were announced Monday by the United States, Britain, France and Canada following a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency that Iran was seeking nuclear warheads.” Read more.

Iran Will Never End Its Nuclear Quest Because It Believes Allah Is Protecting the Country – “Despite the IAEA’s recent report on Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the country’s leadership couldn’t care less. They remain unconcerned about the West’s denunciations and threats of further sanctions even after the international nuclear watchdog reported last week that the Islamic regime is building nuclear weapons. There will be no comprise with the United States and its allies, Iran insists, because the regime’s critics fail to understand the nature of what Tehran’s radicals call the ‘true Islam.’ … Combating Israel and staying on top of all that has the stench of America on it are the fuels that feed the vital engine of revolutionary Islam in the Middle East.” Read more.
