By Mark Berman, The Washington Post – “A police officer in Philadelphia was shot multiple times late Thursday by an attacker who told authorities he had pledged loyalty to the Islamic State.

The officer survived the ‘unprovoked’ shooting and returned fire, hitting the attacker, who survived and was taken into custody, Richard Ross Jr., the city’s new police commissioner, said at a news conference.

Ross said during a later news conference that the suspect confessed to the shooting and told detectives he did it ‘in the name of Islam.’

Police also said that the attacker told authorities he was pledging allegiance to the Islamic State, the militant group that has declared a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria.

The gun used in the shooting was a stolen police firearm, Ross said.

Officer Jesse Hartnett, 33, was driving through an intersection in West Philadelphia at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday when a man began firing into the driver’s side window of the police car, Ross said.

‘When you look at the video … this is absolutely one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen,’ Ross said. ‘This guy tried to execute the police officer. The police officer had no idea he was coming.'” Read more.

By Jason Taylor, Daily Express – “ISIS is planning to massacre thousands of civilians in public places around the world in 2016 as it desperately seeks to draw the west into a titanic ‘final battle’.

The sick terror group will activate hundreds of sleeper cells in ‘dozens of countries’ in an unprecedented bid to destabilise western governments and spark a huge military retaliation in the Middle East.

The shock claim, from one of the world’s leading authorities on the death cult, comes amid fears of a New Year’s Eve terror plot in London and other major world cities.

Islamic State has carried out more than 50 attacks in 18 countries that have killed 1,100 people and injured 1,700 since it declared its caliphate in 2014.

By Julian Hattem, The Hill – “The owner of a Rochester, N.Y., pizza parlor pleaded guilty on Thursday to trying to recruit people to join Islamic extremists in the Middle East.

The man, 31-year-old Mufid Elfgeeh, used the Internet to find potential supporters of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), send them propaganda and support their efforts to join the extremist group in Syria, officials alleged.

To spread his message, Elfgeeh used a combination of three Twitter accounts, 23 Facebook accounts and one WhatsApp account, which he used to seek out funding and support radical fighters, according to details in his plea agreement.

From late 2013 to early 2014, Elfgeeh. a naturalized U.S. citizen from Yemen, began communicating with two people who appeared willing to travel to Syria and join the jihadist fight.

Among other steps, Elfgeeh connected the two people with overseas contacts and bought them a laptop computer and a high-definition camera to use on their journey. He also gave one of the travelers $1,000 in cash to buy two handguns, and paid money so that one of the two people could obtain a copy of his birth certificate.

Unbeknownst to Elfgeeh, both people were cooperating with the FBI.

In other cases, Elfgeeh sent $600 to someone in Yemen to help them get into Syria, and communicated with different groups of fighters in Syria to get them to join ISIS.” Read more.

FOX2 Now – “Police are revealing more about a report of a group of men asking about the Bagnell Dam. Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott tells Lake News that the Camden County Sheriff’s Office forwarded a security tip regarding the hydroelectric facility to the FBI.

Police tell KMIZ-TV that the incident happened about two weeks ago at the Golden Corral in Osage Beach. A deputy was eating lunch and the wait staff told him about the group of men. Staffers said the men were asking questions about the dam. They wanted to know if they could rent a boat and tour the dam.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office tells Lake News that they received a tip about a group of ‘Middle Eastern’ men asking about Bagnell Dam. The police department forwarded that report to the FBI and a joint task force on terrorism.

The Miller County Sheriff’s office have have been in contact with the St. Louis security office for the dam. Patrols of the dam are continuing as normal.

‘With recent things going on in our country and around the world, people are kind of a little bit more alerted. It’s everyone’s responsibility to watch out for each other. We all live in this community, and we’re going to notice things that seem out of place and if we don’t notify the proper authorities, who will?’ Officer Corporal Scott Hines told KMIZ-TV.

INN – “Italian police have arrested a Syrian ‘refugee’ for being a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization, clapping him in cuffs shortly after he arrived by boat along with hundreds of migrants, media reports said Monday.

The man, reportedly in his 20s, was arrested by officers in Sicily after Italy’s special operations division discovered incriminating material on his cell phone.

The suspect had videos and photographs which appeared to be of ISIS attacks along with a text message which read ‘Allah is great, but ISIS is even better,’ according to the reports.

The local Corriere di Ragusa daily said the images contained ‘corpses, wounds and lots of blood.’

The Syrian arrived on December 4 on a wooden fishing boat carrying 500 people, and had been staying at the reception center in the southeastern Sicilian port before his arrest.

There have long been concerns in Italy and Europe of would-be jihadists entering the country and the rest of the continent on the rickety boats of migrants crossing the Mediterranean from northern Africa…

Minnesota: Muslim Refugee From Somalia Arrested For Aiding The Islamic State – “Federal agents in Minneapolis have arrested a 20-year-old man of Somali origin who they say was the ’emir’ – or leader – of Islamic State recruiting efforts in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. Abdirizak Mohamed Warsame of Eagan, Minnesota appeared in the US District Court in Minneapolis on Thursday morning, to answer the charges of supplying material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. He was arrested without incident on Wednesday evening, the FBI said. The criminal complaint against Warsame, signed by FBI Special Agent Vadim Vinetsky, says that a group of at least ten young Somalis from Minnesota began conspiring to join Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the spring of 2014. One member of the group, 18-year-old Abdi Nir, actually managed to get to Syria in May 2014, while nine others have been arrested by the FBI.” Read more.

Illinois: Two Muslims Pleads Guilty To Supporting ISIS, Plotting Attack On American Soil – “A former Illinois National Guard soldier pleaded guilty Monday to charges alleging he conspired to provide material support to the Islamic State group. Hasan Edmonds, 23, of Aurora, Illinois, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. The pleas in Chicago federal court came one week after his cousin, Jonas Edmonds, 30, of Aurora, pleaded guilty to similar charges. ‘Hasan and Jonas Edmonds conspired to provide material support to ISIL,’ John P. Maryland: Muslim Charged With Supporting ISIS, Receiving Money From Terrorists For Possible Attack In America – “A Maryland man has been charged with providing support to the Islamic State group and with lying to the FBI, the Washington Post reported on Monday. Mohamed Yousef ElShinawy was arrested on Friday afternoon at his home in Edgewood, Maryland, U.S. law enforcement officials said. ElShinawy was communicating with ISIS terrorists in other countries, many of whom sent him money to possibly carry out an attack or to travel to Syria. He was expected to be arraigned on Monday in federal court. It was unclear if ElShinawy had an attorney. This arrest comes as Americans are already on edge after recent terror attacks in Paris and in San Bernardino, California. Recent polls have shown American adults see terrorism as the biggest threat facing their country and that nearly 80 percent of Americans believe a terrorist threat is at least somewhat likely. The FBI has arrested more than 60 people in the past year in connection with ISIS and the agency has sharply increased its efforts to combat the threat …” Read more.

Islam truly was the “Religion of Peace” that night. The terrorists didn’t make a sound.

By Raymond Ibrahim – “According to a new report published yesterday, December 12, by RT Arabic, the ‘Swedish government is in a state of panic after dozens of its citizens received threatening letters signed by ISIS and offering them three choices, either conversion to Islam, payment of jizya, or decapitation.’

The letters warned their recipients that they had three days to decide.

Written in the Swedish language, the letters appeared yesterday on dozens of homes in different cities at the same time.  Police are reportedly taking the threat ‘very seriously.’  Among other regions, letters appeared in the cities of Ronneba, Sigtuna, Vstroes and the capital Stockholm.

Along with threatening those who refuse to convert to Islam or pay the jizya with death, some letters also threatened their recipients with ‘the bombing of theirs roofs above their heads.’  The letters further warned that the police will not save recipients of the letters and that ‘death would extend to all.’

The complete translation of the above letter follows:

In the name of Allah, the merciful, full of grace. You who are not believers will be decapitated in three days in your own house; we will bomb your rotten corpses afterwards.  You must choose between these three choices: 1. Convert to Islam.  2. Pay the jizya [religious tax] for protection   3. Or else, you will be decapitated. The police will not prevent or save you from you being murdered. (Death comes to all of you).

By Sam Webb, Mirror – “Vile ISIS terror thugs have issued a fatwa to kill babies and children with Down’s Syndrome, it has been reported.

Iraqi activist group Mosul Eye says the ISIS Shar’ia Board issued a savage ‘oral fatwa (an Islamic term for a religious decree)’ to its members authorising them to ‘kill newborn babies with Down’s Syndrome and congenital deformities and disabled children’.

If true – and reports from the war-torn region are difficult to verify – it means ISIS has taken a leaf from the Nazis, who murdered disabled children it perceived to be a ‘burden on the state’.

Mosul Eye monitored the deaths of children with Down’s Syndrome and other congenital deformities and discovered the fatwa was issued by one of Islamic States’s Shar’ia judges, a Saudi judge named ‘Abu Said Aljazrawi.

Their information indicates that most of the children born with Down’s Syndrome are those of foreign fighters who married Iraqi, Syrian and Asian women.

The activists recorded more than 38 confirmed cases of killing babies with congenital deformities and Down’s Syndrome, aged between one week to three months. They were killed by either lethal injection or suffocation.
