Osama and Obama Both Hail Mideast Revolutions

05/19/2011 1 comment

Note to Obama: We’re seeing free speech and freedom of expression take root in the Middle East alright. After Egypt’s revolution, for example, the people are now free to openly express their desire to see the country ruled by Sharia Law, they are now free to express their hatred of Israel, their hatred of Jews, and their unquenchable desire to see an end to the 1979 peace treaty with their Jewish neighbors to the north.  We’re still waiting for the freedom of peaceful assembly.  Freedom of religion has taken a turn for the worse as the ‘religion of peace’ is emboldened to advance its influence and wage war against Coptic Christians.  Equality for women continues to be a pipe dream.  The Muslim Brotherhood — from which Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri began as activists — is now free to run for the Egyptian presidency.  And your rebel friends whom you are fighting with in Libya have questionable connections.  So tell us, Mr. Obama, whose vision of the ‘Arab Spring’ is coming to fruition, yours or Bin Laden’s?

Barack Obama Hails Mideast Revolutions – “For six months, we have witnessed an extraordinary change take place in the Middle East and North Africa. Square by square; town by town; country by country; the people have risen up to demand their basic human rights…

… The nations of the Middle East and North Africa won their independence long ago, but in too many places their people did not … the events of the past six months show us that strategies of repression and diversion won’t work anymore… The question before us is what role America will play as this story unfolds. … It is not America that put people into the streets of Tunis and Cairo – it was the people themselves who launched these movements, and must determine their outcome. Not every country will follow our particular form of representative democracy, and there will be times when our short term interests do not align perfectly with our long term vision of the region…

The United States opposes the use of violence and repression against the people of the region.

We support a set of universal rights. Those rights include free speech; the freedom of peaceful assembly; freedom of religion; equality for men and women under the rule of law; and the right to choose your own leaders – whether you live in Baghdad or Damascus; Sanaa or Tehran.”  Read more.

Bin Laden Hails Mideast Revolution in Recording Made Before His Death – “Al Qaeda has released a new message from Osama bin Laden, the first since the terror group’s leader was killed in a U.S. raid on his Pakistan compound almost three weeks ago.

The 13-minute audiotape, which references the revolts in Tunisia and Egypt, includes still images emblazoned with an old picture of bin Laden and dated with the Islamic month that begins in the last week of April. It seems to have been recorded after Feb. 17…

In the message, bin Laden addresses fellow Muslims across the Middle East, but does not issue threats and does not mention the U.S. or the West.

Instead, he celebrates their struggle with flowery language, and tells them it would be a ‘sin to lose this opportunity.’

‘The winds of change flew to the square of Tahrir,’ he says, referring to Cairo, ‘and a great revolution was begun. This wasn’t a revolution of starving and pain, but a revolution of giving and peace.'” Read more.

Nakbacide

By Daniel Greenfield – “Imagine if every year on the 7th of May, Germans held an annual commemoration of the defeat of the Nazi state, complete with Swastikas, anti-Jewish chants and slogans, and a historical narrative claiming that the Volksdeutsche expelled from Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary were the real victims of WW2. That disgusting spectacle is exactly what takes place on May 15th as Arab Muslims chant and riot to protest their unsuccessful genocide of a regional minority.

It’s hard to think of a more repulsive spectacle of historical obliviousness, than a regional majority responsible for multiple genocides dressing up as the victims because their invasion of Israel ended in a stalemate, rather than a genocidal purge of its residents. Perhaps only the Japanese, with their annual commemorations of a history that begins briefly before Hiroshima and ends after Nagasaki, leaving out Nanking and Pearl Harbor, are a match for the Palestinian Nakba.

The Arab history of Israel leaves out thousands of years of history of the original Jewish inhabitants and a thousand years of persecution under Arab rule. It leaves out the massacres and atrocities carried out by the Arab Muslim invaders against the Jewish inhabitants in the 20th century, including the Hebron Massacre, and the Nazi collaboration of their leader, the Mufti of Jerusalem. Instead it begins and ends with Deir Yassin and angry old women holding up oversized housekeys and reminiscing about the good times they had massacring Jews.” Read more.

92-Year-Old Arab Gloats Over 1929 Rape-Massacre of Jews, Wants Encore

The Palestinians, indeed much of the Arab world, prays that they will have the chance to finish what Hitler started.  Another example of the Palestinian culture of death

Ezekiel 35:1-6, “The word of the LORD came to me: ‘Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir; prophesy against it and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you and make you a desolate waste. I will turn your towns into ruins and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD. Because you harbored an ancient hostility and delivered the Israelites over to the sword at the time of their calamity, the time their punishment reached its climax, therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.'”

By Gil Ronen – “As the world is subjected to a hail of propaganda from Arabs regarding the 1948 ‘disaster’ inflicted upon them by the creation of the state of Israel, Arab press watchdog MEMRI has released a video that places the Arab claims in perspective.

In the video, a 92-year-old Arab woman, originally from Hevron, glowingly recalls on Hamas-Gaza TV how the Arabs of Hevron, including her father, without provocation, massacred the peaceful Jewish neighbors they had lived beside for years in 1929 – almost 20 years before the 1948 War of Independence. Needless to say, there was no State of Israel then, no IDF, no ‘occupation’ etc.

In an orgy of sadistic violence on August 24, 1929, 67 of Hevron’s Jews were murdered. The Arabs murdered children in front of their parents, severed limbs, raped and burned people alive.” Read more.

Iran Could Play Role in Al-Qaida, Post-Bin Laden

05/18/2011 Leave a comment

By MATT APUZZO – “The death of Osama bin Laden has put a new focus on what role Iran might play in al-Qaida’s future, as intelligence officials around the world analyzed reports that Saif al-Adel had taken over as al-Qaida’s interim leader. Al-Adel was last known to be under house arrest outside Tehran.

The terrorist resume of al-Adel, one of al-Qaida’s founders, includes helping orchestrate the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa. But he had sharp disagreements with bin Laden’s leadership and opposed the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He accurately predicted that inciting the wrath of the U.S. would hurt al-Qaida’s worldwide efforts.

Al-Adel is among the many senior al-Qaida figures who fled into Iran after the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. They were arrested there in 2003 and were placed under what has been loosely called ‘house arrest’ in a compound outside Tehran. Over the years, some have been able to come and go, and the U.S. has worried that Iran would someday free them to restore al-Qaida’s ranks.”  Read more.

“Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that the Bushehr power plant is operational, Press TV reported on Wednesday.

‘As we have previously announced, Bushehr power plant has reached the criticality stage, meaning it has been successfully launched,’ Salehi reportedly said.

Criticality is the stage in a nuclear reaction when the fissile material is self-sustaining.

‘This stage lasts for two months. We hope the plant will gain some 40 percent of its power within the next one or two months,’Salehi added.” Read more.

‘A World Without America’: Iran Building Rocket Bases in Venezuela to be Used Against ‘Iran’s Enemies’

05/16/2011 4 comments

Today the United Nations is reporting that Iran — a state sponsor of terrorism — has been working with North Korea on ballistic missile technology (and who knows what else) with shipments taking place through China.  Now, either China is chronically inept at securing and inspecting large shipments passing through its borders, or they are willingly ignorant about what is taking place in their own back yard.  All of this, of course, while Iran laughs at the West and forges ahead with its nuclear program (aided by Russia and possibly others), repeatedly boasts about the ‘attainable’ vision of a world without Israel and America, and continues to prophetize about the soon coming of the ‘divinely appointed Islamic savior’ of mankind that will force the world into Islamic submission.  And now Iran is building rocket bases in Venezuela to be used against its enemies?  Where next, Cuba?  Seems to me like the Iranians are doing as much as they can now, and as fast as they can, while the Office of the Presidency and American leadership is still controlled by eunuchs those who continue to believe that diplomacy is the answer …

By BENJAMIN WEINTHAL – “BERLIN – The Iranian government is moving forward with the construction of rocket launch bases in Venezuela, the German daily Die Welt wrote in its Friday edition.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is Teheran’s most important South American ally.

Iran is building intermediate- range missile launch pads on the Paraguaná Peninsula, and engineers from a construction firm – Khatam al-Anbia – owned by the Revolutionary Guards visited Paraguaná in February. Amir al-Hadschisadeh, the head of the Guard’s Air Force, participated in the visit, according to the report. Die Welt cited information from ‘Western security insiders.’

… According to Die Welt, the clandestine agreement between Venezuela and Iran would mean the Chavez government would fire rocket at Iran’s enemies should the Islamic Republic face military strikes.” Read more.

Ahmadinejad Envisions ‘A World Without America’ – “The country that is probably the most dangerous current sponsor of terrorism–Iran—is also pursuing a nuclear capacity, and may well harbor an intention to use it against both the US and Israel. Iranian President Ahmadinejad envisions ‘a world without America.’ … Iran could launch rockets to detonate a nuclear warhead some 70 miles above the earth’s surface. This would create an electromagnetic pulse (EMP)… [which] could effectively shut down wide swaths of the US economy. Millions would perish in a short period.”  Read more.

Iran, North Korea Partnering on Ballistic Missiles, U.N. Says – “Iran and North Korea seem to routinely be swapping ballistic missile equipment in breach of U.N. Security Council directives, a classified expert report to the international body stated on Friday. Illegal trades of missile technology had ‘transshipment through a neighboring third country,’ the report states. Multiple envoys told Reuters the nation in question is China.” Read more.

Iran trains terrorists in Venezuela, hides behind mercenaries – “Al-Seyassah has published reports about Iranian training camps on the border between Venezuela and Colombia, where Shiites from the Arab world are taught to make bombs, carry out assassinations, kidnap people and transport hostages to other locations. Hamas MP and Cleric: The Caliphate is Coming and in a Few Years a ‘Great Massacre of Jews’

05/16/2011 5 comments

These demented clerics and leaders, who wield incredible influence over the Palestinian population, are really looking forward to the mass murder and genocide of Jews, and the destruction of Israel…

John 16:2-3, “… a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.”

Hamas MP and Cleric Yunis Al-Astal, May 11, 2011: “The (Jews) are brought in droves to Palestine so that the Palestinians – and the Islamic nation behind them – will have the honor of annihilating the evil of this gang… All the predators, all the birds of prey, all the dangerous reptiles and insects, and all the lethal bacteria are far less dangerous than the Jews… In Just a few years, all the Zionists and the settlers will realize that their arrival in Palestine was for the purpose of the great massacre, by means of which Allah wants to relieve humanity of their evil… When Palestine is liberated and its people return to it, and the entire region, with the grace of Allah, will have turned into the United States of Islam, the land of Palestine will become the capital of the Islamic Caliphate, and all these countries will turn into states within the Caliphate…” Watch video.

Mainstream Media’s Mea Culpa: Arab Spring or Nuclear Winter?

05/16/2011 3 comments

By Pamela Geller – “The Washington Post wrote Thursday that the ‘Arab Spring’ has taken ‘an altogether darker and more sinister turn, one in which the prospect of a brighter future no longer seems so readily assured.’

So the media is finally recognizing what was happening from the very first in US-allied Muslim countries across the world.

Uh, I told you so — from the very first ‘Allahu akbar‘ I warned readers of my website AtlasShrugs.com (and anyone who would listen) that Islamic supremacists would seize power and destroy the little democratic reforms that had inched their way into many of these backward, barbaric cultures. It was little noted that these uprisings were stirring in the Muslim countries with the most freedom — such actions were near impossible where the iron fist of Islamic law reigned.” Read more.

Ben Stein Links Muslim Brotherhood to Hitler, Warns Iran Gaining Power – “… Ben Stein gave a pessimistic view of the ‘Arab Spring’ movement to topple authoritarian governments in the Middle East, charged that America would regret allowing Hosni Mubarak lose power in Egypt, and predicted that the radical Muslm Brotherhood would take over there. He also gave rare attention to the Muslim Brotherhood’s history of alliance with Nazi Germany during World War II.” Read more.

Allahu Akbar – An Assertion of Individual Superiority Through Collective Superiority

05/15/2011 1 comment

I encourage everyone to read this excellent article by Daniel Greenfield that delves into the Muslim mindset and the intrinsic meaning of ‘Allahu Akbar‘ …

By Daniel Greenfield – Canada Free Press – “No sooner does a Yemeni Muslim begin hammering on the cockpit door shouting “Allahu Akbar”, then the media speculates that he must have gotten confused looking for the bathroom. And on September 11, four groups of Muslim men with boxcutters got confused looking for the nearest post office.

The lead is invariably buried. Paragraphs fly by until it’s mentioned that the confused fellow may have been a Muslim. If it’s mentioned at all. And his cry of Allahu Akbar is translated as God is Great to render it more acceptable to readers. But like so many Islamic translations, it’s right enough to be wrong. Allahu Akbar doesn’t mean Allah is Great, in a ‘Isn’t ‘Allah and the Virgins of Paradise’ a great band’. It’s more like Allah is Greatest or Superior. And if you’re on the right side of the cockpit door, the one doing the shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ means that Allah is superior to your country and to you. And one of his followers is about to do his best to show you why.” Read more.

Nigerian Government Not Protecting Christian Citizens

By Becky Yeh – “Muslim radicals recently attacked and killed 17 Christians, contributing to an ongoing rampage against believers since the country adopted sharia law.

A Christian pastor, his wife, and their three children were viciously killed by Islamic extremists, along with a dozen other believers, as Muslims burned down the homes of Christians in the village of Kurum, which is located in Bauchi State, Nigeria.

Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern (ICC) tells OneNewsNow the attack is part of a series of violent assaults against Christians in Nigeria — a country that has not protected its citizens.”  Read more.

Muslim Mob Attacks Christian Protesters on Strike in Egypt, 2 Killed

“An angry mob attacked a group of mainly Christian protesters demanding drastic measures to heal religious tension amid a spike in violence, leaving 65 people injured, officials said.

The Christian protesters have been holding their sit-in outside the state television building in Cairo for nearly a week following deadly Christian-Muslim clashes that left a church burned and 15 people dead.

More than 100 people rushed into the sit-in area on Sunday, lobbing rocks and fire bombs from an overpass and charging toward the few hundred protesters sleeping in the area. Vehicles were set on fire and fires burned in the middle of the street.”  Read more.

Third Intifada: 15 Said Killed as IDF Troops Clash With Protesters on 3 Hostile Borders

How long will it take for Turkey and other Muslim nations to decry the Jews as ‘cold-blooded killers’ for protecting their country against anti-semites, while these same Muslim nations say nothing against Syria for killing 800 and counting anti-government protesters?

Update:  The hypocrisy of Syria knows no bounds – ‘Syria condemns Israel’s criminal acts against protesters …

MAJDAL SHAMS, Golan Heights – “Mobilized by calls on Facebook, thousands of Arab protesters marched on Israel’s borders with Syria, Lebanon and Gaza on Sunday in an unprecedented wave of demonstrations, sparking clashes that left at least 15 people dead in an annual Palestinian mourning ritual marking the anniversary of Israel’s birth.

In a surprising turn of events, hundreds of Palestinians and supporters poured across the Syrian frontier and staged riots, drawing Israeli accusations that Damascus, and its ally Iran, orchestrated the unrest to shift attention from an uprising back home. It was a rare incursion from the usually tightly controlled Syrian side and could upset the delicate balance between the two longtime foes.” Read more.
