New York Post – “The Islamic State militant group has executed 700 members of a tribe it has been battling in eastern Syria during the past two weeks, the majority of them civilians, a human rights monitoring group and activists said on Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which has tracked violence on all sides of the three-year-old conflict, said reliable sources reported beheadings were used to execute many of the al-Sheitaat tribe, which is from Deir al-Zor province.

The conflict between Islamic State and the al-Sheitaat tribe, who number about 70,000, flared after the militants took over two oil fields in July.

‘Those who were executed are all al-Sheitaat,’ Observatory director Rami Abdelrahman said by telephone from Britain. ‘Some were arrested, judged and killed.’

Reuters cannot independently verify reports from Syria due to security conditions and reporting restrictions.

Proclaiming a ‘caliphate’ straddling parts of Iraq and Syria, Islamic State has swept across northern Iraq in recent weeks, pushing back Kurdish regional forces and driving tens of thousands of Muslims, Christians and members of the Yazidi religious minority from their homes, prompting the first U.S. air strikes in Iraq since the withdrawal of American troops in 2011.

The insurgents are also tightening their grip in Syria, of which they now control roughly a third, mostly rural areas in the north and east.

An activist in Deir al-Zor who spoke on condition of anonymity told Reuters that 300 men were executed in one day in the town of Ghraneij, one of the three main towns of the al-Sheitaat tribal heartland, when Islamic State stormed the town earlier this week.” Read more.

By Ammar Cheikh Omar, NBC News – “After two years of fighting alongside al Qaeda-backed militants in Syria, Abu Saif thought he was done with jihad and ready to return to his ‘normal’ life as a chef in Belgium. But everything changed when Sunni militants swept through northern Iraq and brought their brand of holy war to a global audience.

The 31-year-old cut ties with his old fighting force and put in with the rival Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), setting out for the militants’ stronghold of Raqqa and then, he hopes, on to Iraq.

‘Fighting against the Americans and the Shiites is one of my biggest wishes,’ Abu Saif, 31, told NBC News. ‘I would go straight to paradise.’

For a long time, Abu Saif’s life was more about kitchens than gunbattles. The Belgium-born restaurant cook said all of that changed two years ago when he saw a video on YouTube purporting to show Syrian soldiers massacring children. He told NBC News that he felt compelled as a Muslim to leave his life in Belgium behind and fight against atrocities in Syria.

Joined by his younger brother Soufian Alilou, Abu Saif flew to Turkey and later crossed the border into Syria. When they reached Aleppo, the brothers sought out a strong Islamist fighting group to join. Jabhat al-Nusra fit the bill.

The al Qaeda-backed group was waging war against the soldiers loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad. Al-Nusra also had long been at loggerheads with ISIS, clashing violently with fighters from the rival militant group.

The brothers from Belgium took up arms with al-Nusra, battling Assad’s soldiers on the streets of Aleppo and Idlib. All around them, Abu Saif said, were foreigners who like him had abandoned everything to come fight a holy war – a phenomenon that has Western counterterrorism officials in a tizzy.

‘I saw fighters from all around the world,’ he said. Abu Saif told NBC that his 70-strong fighting force was mostly made up of French and Belgian fighters – but ‘many brothers,’ too, came from America, the U.K. and Canada.” Read more.

Inquisitr – “ISIS, also known as the Islamic State, has taken somewhat of a pounding in Iraq recently at the hands of the laser guided missile strikes on their positions in the region, ordered by Barack Obama. However, according to intelligence reports on Saturday, ISIS is not just going to let the U.S. strikes against them go unnoticed or unpunished. Five intelligence officials told Bloomberg News some worrying things about ISIS and its strategy. They alleged that the fanatical Islamist terrorist group is planning to carry out major terror attacks against targets in the United States, and possibly in Europe. According to the intelligence officials, ISIS has sleeper cells around the world, including in Europe and America, whose goal is to gain a greater foothold in the Islamic world, politically and militarily. U.S. Army Colonel Derek Harvey said that due to Obama’s failed policy in leaving Iraq, the country is now gripped in a ‘competition for jihadi leadership’ between ISIS and Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, following the falling out between the two groups last year. The Colonel also claimed that President Obama has seriously underestimated ISIS’ hold in Syria in Iraq, as well as what they are capable of in terms of 9/11 type atrocity on mainland America. The issue with ISIS, as with any terror organisation of their kind like Al-Qaeda or Hamas, is the fact that they hold influence worldwide and not just in the Middle East. There are numerous examples of foreign nationals from France, U.K., Germany and the U.S., who are currently fighting with ISIS in Iraq and Syria who will presumably return to their home countries even more radicalized. Brett McGurk, the deputy assistant US Secretary of State for Iran and Iraq, warned on the Charlie Rose show last week that ISIS are far worse than Al Qaeda:

“ISIS is better equipped, they’re better manned, they’re better resourced, they’re better fighters, they’re better trained than the Al Qaeda in Iraq that our forces faced. It is a global expansionist, global jihadist organization. It is swollen with foreign fighters and suicide bombers who will go wherever the organization tells them to go. And that could very easily be capitals in the region, it could be capitals in Europe and, God forbid, it could be here.”

The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, also weighed in with an article in the Sunday Telegraph addressing the current ISIS threat:

“If we do not act to stem the onslaught of this exceptionally dangerous terrorist movement, it will only grow stronger until it can target us on the streets of Britain. I agree that we should avoid sending armies to fight or occupy, but we need to recognize that the brighter future we long for requires a long-term plan.”

The reports of a possible terror attack in the United States come after reports in the last few days that ISIS slaughtered more than 400 Yazidis in Iraq and more than 700 tribes people in Syria.” Read more.

By Anthony Kimery, HS Today – “Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) expressed solidarity with jihadists in Iraq — pledging to kill as many Americans as possible — and called on all Islamic jihadist organizations and Muslims everywhere to do the same, especially in the United States.

In an August 14 communiqué, AQAP said the US is leading a war against Muslims and that Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al Zawahiri ‘always advised to crush the head of the American serpent, in order to make it easier to eliminate its agents, the leaders of the Muslim countries.’

In its message, AQAP assured jihadists fighting with the Islamic State in Iraq that experience teaches that airstrikes ‘cannot defeat those who place their trust in Allah,’ and that jihad continues from generation to generation.

‘It should be noted that this communiqué, like the August 12, video by AQAP’s mufti, Sheikh Ibrahim Al Rubaish, indicates AQAP support for the IS (though this organization is not mentioned by name),’ said the Middle East Media Research Institute which monitors jihadist websites. ‘At the same time, here too the organization is careful to maintain a balance between the IS and Al Qaeda by mentioning Al Qaeda leaders bin Laden and Al Zawahiri as sources of authority and guiding lights.’

The following are excerpts from the communiqué, posted on the jihadi website alplatformmedia.com.

‘The Muslim ummah is currently suffering a series of grave events. It is facing difficult challenges and [dangerous] conspiracies… The war of the infidel nations against Islam is constant … At the present time, the leader of [this] war is the US, who has borne the banner and raised the Cross and has done everything in its power to weaken Islam and humiliate the Muslims. It is putting everything it has into this war and spilling the blood of Muslims.

‘The [US’s] latest action was to launch drones against our Muslim brethren in Iraq, with groundless and stupid excuses. We ask: Why didn’t the US try to save hundreds of thousands of Sunnis when Al-Maliki hurled barrel bombs into Falluja, Diyala and Mosul? Where were Obama’s human feelings and moral considerations when Al-Maliki’s Shi’ite government committed aggression against [Iraq’s] Sunnis, spilled their blood and harmed their honor for all to see? It’s no surprise [that the US did not intervene to help them]. The Muslims have not forgotten and will not soon forget the crimes that the US and its army committed in Iraq at the time of the [US] occupation … It is the policy of the lying and hypocritical US-led West to protect infidel sects against the Muslims and to apply a double standard vis-a-vis the nations. The Jews’ aggression against Gaza [is considered] self-defense, [but] the mujahideen’s advance in Iraq is a dangerous attack on the rights of minorities; jihad against the US and its allies in the West and East is terrorism and violence, whereas infidels attacking, persecuting and killing Muslims is noble and honorable [activity] that enjoys international support and assistance.

‘Obama’s declaration of war on the Muslims in Iraq, and his subsequent airstrikes on the mujahideen, prove that the Zionist-Crusader enemy is still the most dangerous enemy of the Muslim ummah. [This enemy] sometimes goes into hiding, but when its agents [in the region] are too defeated or weak to do its bidding according to its will, it is compelled to act in the open in order to protect its interests, which [involve] robbing the Muslim peoples … That is why Sheikh Osama [bin Laden] and after him [Ayman] Al-Zawahiri always advised to crush the head of the American serpent, in order to make it easier to eliminate its agents, the leaders of the Muslim countries.

‘Hence, we declare our solidarity with our Muslim brethren in Iraq in [their struggle against] this Crusade. Their blood is our blood, their wound is in our hearts, and we have a duty to defend them. With Allah’s help, we will employ every means to cause the US as many casualties as possible, as part of jihad for the sake of Allah and in order to realize what our Sheikh Osama [bin Laden] vowed [to achieve].'” Read more.

By Bill Kaufmann,Canoe.ca – “Multiple reports state a Calgarian who volunteered to fight with the extremist Islamic army ISIS has been killed in Iraq.

Farah Mohamed Shirdon, who comes from a prominent Calgary Somali family, has been reported dead on various social media sites, though no cause of his death have been given.

If true, Shirdon would be the third Calgarian known to have been killed in recent months while serving with Jihadist forces in Syria and Iraq.

Canadian foreign affairs officials say they’re checking the reports of the death of Shirdon, a man in his early 20s who’d taken the name Shaheed while fighting in both Syria and Iraq.

On a Twitter feed attributed to him, Shirdon wrote on June 23: ‘Martyrdom is what I seek’ and on July 10, he posted an entry directed at his ‘dear mother.’

‘I have sold my soul for the sake of Allah. We may never meet again in this life but Allah willing, Allah will reunite us in (heaven).’

Other posts describe the fighting during the ISIS advance throughout the region.

Last April, Shirdon was seen in an ISIS video burning his Canadian passport with comrades armed with AK-47 assault rifles, while shouting threats against Canada and the West.

‘We are coming and will destroy you… this is a message for Canada and for all America,’ he said to the camera.” Source – Canoe.ca.

Hadith, Sahih Muslim 4457, “The Messenger of Allah … used not to kill the children, so thou shouldst not kill them unless … you could distinguish between a child who would grow up to he a believer (and a child who would grow up to be a non-believer), so that you killed the (prospective) non-believer and left the (prospective) believer aside.”

As we can see, killing and beheading non-Muslims — even children — for the cause of “Allah” is sanctioned in the “holy” teachings of Islam. The Bible itself even prophesied hundreds of years in advance that this sort of behavior would be coming …

John 16:2b-3, “… the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God. This is because they have never known the Father or Me.”

They cannot all be confirmed. But there is a pattern emerging: Even children are not immune from the barbaric acts of radical Muslims.

I saw a photograph that makes me sick. It is the corpse of a little girl, about ten years old, wearing a dress and leotards. She lies sprawled on the floor with her arms outstretched. For a presumably poor girl, she looks like she’s dressed in her Sunday best.

Everything about her looks normal, except that her head is gone. This photo makes you sick. It’s right out of a horror movie. Something within you dies when you look at it.

Some have reported this is a Christian girl in Iraq deliberately beheaded by ISIS. Others report a different scenario for her death. I can’t verify it. But either way radical Islam killed her.

How could you kill a child? And more importantly, how could you do so in the name of God? As of this writing, Christians continue to be killed in Iraq simply because they won’t convert to Islam. It is convert, pay a strict tax, flee, or die. In some cases, just convert or die.

In one sense, this is not new. Radical Islam has been on the march since 632. Most of the population of the land they conquered and forced conversions or killed the conquered were Christians. I remember reading that by about 950 AD, 50% of what had been Christendom was under Muslim control, and the vast majority of it has never reverted back.

But some leaders of Islam are more barbaric than others.

The current crop of ISIS leaders is particularly barbaric. ISIS refers to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. They are intent in re-creating the caliphate in the Middle East. Their spokesman said they won’t stop until they fly the black flag of Islam over the U.S. White House.” Read more.

Flashback: Iraq: ISIS Terrorists Cut Five-Year-Old Christian Child In Half – “The five-year-old son of a founding member of Baghdad’s Anglican church was cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State1 on the Christian town of Qaraqosh. In an interview Aug. 8, an emotional Canon Andrew White told ACNS that he christened the boy several years ago, and that the child’s parents had named the lad Andrew after him. ‘I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half,’ he said. ‘I baptized his child in my church in Baghdad. This little boy, they named him after me – he was called Andrew.’” Read more.

Flashback: ‘Our Youngest Hostage’: Syrian Islamists Post Shocking Photo Of Tiny Christian Toddler, Guns Pointed At Head – “According to Sham Times and other Arabic websites, jihadi social media networks posted the above picture of a child sitting on the ground while surrounded by armed men pointing their rifles at him.  The caption appearing with the picture, purportedly posted by a supporter of the Free Syrian Army, is ‘Our youngest hostage from among the hostile sects of Kessab.’ Kessab is a predominantly Christian Armenian village in Syria near the Turkish border.  Earlier it was invaded by jihadis, who terrorized, pillaged churches, and prompted some 2000 residents to flee.” Read more.

Islamic terrorism isn’t limited to exploding bombs and a hail of bullets. Simply being forced to witness devout followers of Mohammed ruthlessly implement Sharia Law punishments is itself another form of Islamic terror …

Qur’an Sura 5:33, “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement …”

FRANCE 24 – “Displaced Yazidi people fleeing across a bridge into Syria from northern Iraq told FRANCE 24 reporters on the ground of the horrors committed by Islamist militants terrorising their region.

‘They took the women and the young girls. The men were killed with butcher’s knives,’ one young woman told FRANCE 24.

‘They cut off their arms and their legs. They killed my family, I have no one now,’ a young man added.

Yazidis, a Kurdish-speaking religious minority, are fleeing the violence of the militant group Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS or ISIL), which wants to force them to convert to Islam.

Yazidis have suffered religious persecution for generations because of their beliefs, which include some elements similar to Christianity, Judaism and other ancient religions. ISIS (which now calls itself the Islamic State) militants consider them ‘devil worshippers’, because of a similarity in the name of a spirit they worship and the Arabic word for ‘devil’.

Reporting from the border between Syria and Iraq, FRANCE 24 correspondent Adam Pletts said even bread and water were unavailable to the thousands of refugees from Sinjar: ‘Some won’t cross this bridge alive. In this ambulance is the body of a young man who died of dehydration in the desert.’

‘It’s perhaps an irony that so many people are fleeing for safety to Syria, which is itself embroiled in a three-year civil war. But that’s an indication of just how desperate the situation is for those fleeing the violence of ISIS.'” Source – FRANCE 24.

By Gene Kapp, Charisma News – “Pastor Saeed Abedini is now facing new death threats from ISIS terrorists who are being held in the same Iranian prison where he is being detained, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) reported Wednesday.

Abedini has been able to communicate to family members and let them know that he fears for his life after he was told the ISIS prisoners plan to murder him because of his Christian faith.

‘This is an extremely dangerous development that puts Pastor Saeed’s life at grave risk,’ says Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the ACLJ, which represents Pastor Saeed’s wife, Naghmeh, and their two children living in the U.S. ‘Not only is Pastor Saeed facing threats from Iranian militants who have imprisoned him because of his Christian faith, he now faces new and perhaps even more dangerous threats from Iraqi ISIS prisoners who want to murder Pastor Saeed because of his faith.

‘ISIS’ is an acronym for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria–the two countries where the ruthless offshoot of al-Qaeda have been most active–but the group sometimes is called ‘Islamic State’ for short.

Abedini, who continues to suffer from injuries sustained at the hands of his captors, revealed to family members this week that Iraqi ISIS members are now being held in Rajai Shahr Prison—in the same prison ward where he is. Other prisoners have told Abedini that—if ISIS prisoners have the opportunity—they intend to murder Abedini because of his Christian faith.

Abedini has told family members that he is currently in a separate section of the ward—removed from the ISIS terrorists—but is concerned that he will be subjected to the general prison population—including the ISIS terrorists—during a brief, daily exercise period in the prison yard. Many Christians are often unaware of the fact that in order for meat to be considered “Halal” to Muslims the animal must be prepared according to Islamic guidelines, such as reciting a prayer to the Islamic god “Allah” while the animal is ritually slaughtered (cf. Qur’an Sura 5:3). According to Biblical Scripture, however, all false gods are idols, whether physical or immaterial. Yasmin Jackson, 24, claims staff at Kingswood Daycare Nursery in Mitcham, south London, ‘starved’ her five-year-old daughter Amari over concerns about the meat in her packed lunch.

And police are now investigating possible race and religious offences against the nursery after an online campaign surrounding the incident.

She took Amari to the first day of a summer play scheme at the nursery with a packed lunch on Monday, as instructed by Merton Council.

But when she collected Amari in the afternoon, she found her child hadn’t been allowed to eat the chicken salad sandwich, houmous, carrots and a chocolate bar in her lunch box.

Ms Jackson, a single mother and former nursery worker, said: ‘When I picked her up at the end of the day the first thing she said to me was, “mummy I’m really hungry, can I have my lunch now?”

‘I went to speak to the manager and I said “why wasn’t my daughter allowed her lunch” and she said “we didn’t know it was healthy”.

‘And she said “the form was wrong, you weren’t meant to send a lunch as it is provided here. We gave her a small portion of spaghetti pasta and an apple”.

‘And she said we didn’t know if it’s halal.

‘I said we are a Christian family and it was a chicken sandwich.

‘And she said “we don’t allow any non-halal meat in the nursery”. So I thought “this is just ridiculous”.'” Read more.
