Surely through your channels, Ibe, you can find out where these girls are being held, and send over Ahmed Rehab or some similarly sensitive lug, so as to teach these captive girls not to be so ‘Islamophobic.’

‘Nigeria militants kidnap more girls from village,’ Telegraph, May 6, 2014 (thanks to Kenneth):

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen have kidnapped eight girls aged between 12 and 15 from a village near one of their strongholds in northeast Nigeria.

“They were many, and all of them carried guns,” said Lazarus Musa, a resident of Warabe, where the attack happened.

“They came in two vehicles painted in army colour. They started shooting in our village.”

A police source said the girls were taken away in the early hours of Tuesday on trucks, along with looted livestock and food. The Islamist rebels are still holding 276 girls they abducted from a secondary school on April 14.

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said in a video released on Monday that Allah had told him to sell the girls taken by his fighters from a secondary school in the village of Chibok, in northeastern Borno state.

The abduction on Tuesday appears to bear similarities to the mass-kidnapping on Good Friday.

In the Chibok attack, as with the Warabe seizure, the militants arrived disguised as soldiers.

“Don’t worry, we’re soldiers,” one 16-year-old girl told AP she remembered them saying. “Nothing is going to happen to you.”

The gunmen commanded the hundreds of students at the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School to gather outside. The men went into a storeroom and removed all the food. Then they set fire to the room.

“They started shouting, ‘Allahu Akhbar,’ (God is great),” the 16-year-old student said. “And we knew.”

A local government official, Bana Lawal, received a warning call on his mobile phone, and was told that about 200 heavily armed militants in 20 pickup trucks and more than 30 motorcycles were headed toward his town.

He roused sleeping residents and told them to flee into the bush and the nearby hills.

But two hours later, when the Boko Haram militants arrived, the local forces were unable to fight them off and the extremists headed for the boarding school.

The men set the school ablaze and herded the girl’s group onto the backs of three pickup trucks.

The trucks drove through three villages, but then the car of fighters following them broke down. That’s when the 16-year-old girl and her friend jumped out, and managed to escape by running into the forest.

Britain and the US has offered help in finding the girls, but the Nigerian government has been criticised by the pace of rescue efforts.

It was not clear whether the eight girls taken on Tuesday were being held with the other 276.

Christians Crucified To Death In Syria For Refusing To Convert To Islam And Worship “Allah”

They said they would crucify Christians who refused to worship “Allah.” And they have. They said they would behead Christians who refused to worship “Allah.” And they have. When they say they will “spread the Sharia of Allah on the face of the earth” and will “kill anyone who comes in our way” they will seek to do that, too …

By Raymond Ibrahim, FrontPage Mag – “To the awe of its readership, a recent Daily Mail article reports that the ‘jihadist Islamic State of Iraq and Levant [ISIL],’ which is currently entrenched in Raqqa, Syria, ‘publicly crucified two Syrian rebels in northeastern Syria in revenge for a grenade attack on members of their group.’

While the Daily Mail is to be commended for exposing these barbaric acts — along with posting photos of the crucified — it nonetheless minimized their significance, in two important ways: 1) by repeatedly saying things like ‘even al-Qaeda is distancing itself from ISIL,’ and so implying that the act of crucifixion is some wild aberration that even the poster-child of jihadi terror, al-Qaeda, wants nothing to do with it; and 2) ignoring the much ‘sexier’ story that Christians in Syria are also being crucified simply for refusing to embrace Islam (as opposed to the rather mundane but politically more correct story of Islamic jihadis crucifying each other in the context of vendetta killings).

Consider the atrocities earlier committed in Ma‘loula, Syria, an ancient Christian village where the inhabitants still spoke Aramaic, the language of Christ.

According to recent Arabic news media, ‘a Syrian nun testified to the Vatican news agency that some Christians in Ma‘loula were crucified for refusing to convert to Islam or pay jizya’ (tribute subjugated Christians are required to pay to their Islamic conquerors in order to exist as Christians, per Koran 9:29).

Incidentally, they were crucified by the al-Qaeda linked Nasra Front (so much for Daily Mail’s portrayal of al-Qaeda ‘distancing’ itself from the apparently ‘extra-extremist’ ISIL for crucifying its victims).

Sister Raghad, the former head of the Patriarchate School in Damascus who currently resides in France, told Vatican Radio how she personally witnessed jihadi rebels terrorize Ma‘loula, including by pressuring Christians to proclaim the shehada — Islam’s credo that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger — which, when uttered before Muslim witnesses transforms the speaker into a Muslim, with the death penalty for apostasy should the convert later ‘renege’ by returning to Christianity.

According to the nun, those Christians who refused to embrace Islam were

killed in atrocious and violent ways that cannot be described. If you want examples, they crucified two youths in Ma‘loula for refusing to proclaim Islam’s credo, saying to them: “Perhaps you want to die like your teacher [Christ] whom you believe in? You have two choices: either proclaim the shehada or else be crucified. One of them was crucified before his father, whom they also killed.”

The Daily Star – “Recent deadly attacks in China that have been blamed on Islamist extremists are getting bolder and bloodier, targeting civilians rather than the authorities and further challenging Beijing’s ability to stop them.

The latest attack at a train station Wednesday in the far-western region of Xinjiang – where extremists among the Turkic Uighur Muslim population have been waging a simmering insurgency against Beijing for years – left three people dead and 79 injured, prompting Chinese President Xi Jinping to demand ‘decisive actions’ against terrorism.

Authorities said two of the dead were assailants, marking the attack as an apparent suicide bombing that hints at a further escalation in tactics, said Raffaello Pantucci, a terrorism expert at the Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies in London.

Prior to that, in March, five knife-wielding men and women believed to be Uighurs slashed at crowds indiscriminately at a railway station in southwestern China, killing 29 people. And last year, three Uighurs rammed a vehicle into crowds in a suicide attack near the Forbidden City gate in the heart of Beijing, killing themselves and two tourists.

While these attacks are still relatively crude and bear little sign of specialized training, they seem to have an audaciousness and deliberateness that wasn’t present before, said Andrew Small, an expert on China and Central Asia at the German Marshall Fund in Washington, D.C.

‘The capacity of groups inside China to mount effective, politically targeted attacks does seem to be growing,’ Small said.

‘It’s a step beyond the sort of localized incidents in western Xinjiang that were taking off a few years ago.’

Embarrassingly, the latest incident came as Xi wrapped up a four-day trip to the region that included a visit to an anti-terror unit and bold rhetoric from the leader about the need to maintain social stability at all costs.” Read more.

He said the clerics and worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque, which has recently been the site of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces, were awaiting ‘the legions of the conquerors’ who would take over Israel.” Read more.

“Sex Jihad” Fatwa Permits Incest In Syria

By Raymond Ibrahim, FrontPage Mag – “Last year, according to Arabic media accounts, ‘Saudi cleric Nasser al-‘Umar issued a fatwa permitting mujahidin [jihadis] in Syria to have sex-jihad with their sisters [muharamhum] if no one else is available.  The Saudi preacher also praised the mujahidin for their ongoing fight against, in his words, the machine of infidelity and oppression, that is, the Syrian and Iranian regimes.’

The cleric issued his fatwa on ‘one of the channels associated with the radical jihadi movements’ where he also reportedly said: ‘Some today are opposing the fatwas being issued by the clerics which serve our mujahidin brethren fighting in Syria [a likely reference to Muslim criticism — as opposed to Western denial — of the sex–jihad fatwas], without criticizing the killing of children and women in Syria.’

 As shocking as this report may seem, it is not the first of its kind. For example, according to this Arabic documentary video (click ‘cc’ for English subtitles), ‘The new jihad allows brothers and sisters in Syria belonging to the [al-Qaeda linked] al-Nusra Front to marry each other under the name of jihad because of the lack of girls among fighters of that organization.’

One man appears on video saying, ‘At the Zawia mountain there is an imam called Imam Hussein. They bring him a brother and a sister, he says ‘Allahu Akbar’ on them three times to have sex together and make them husband and wife.’

The rationale and justification of these fatwas is based on the Islamic maxim, ‘necessity makes the prohibited permissible,’ not unlike the more familiar adage, ‘the ends justify the means.’

In other words, because fighting to make the ‘word of Allah,’ or Sharia, supreme is the greatest good, and because sexually-deprived jihadis fighting to do just that may lose morale and quit the theatre of war for lack of women, it is permissible, indeed laudable, for Muslim women — including apparently relatives — to volunteer to give up their bodies to these men so that they can continue the jihad to empower Islam, in accordance with the Koran: ‘Allah has purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain’ (Yusuf Ali trans. 9:111).’ Read more.

Note also Allahshukur Pashazadeh about the ‘occupied territories’ that, he claims, Armenia has illegally seized from Azerbaijan. His rhetoric here is remarkably similar to that of the ‘Palestinian’ jihadis; both know that such talk of ‘occupation,’ however divorced from reality it may be, will arouse the righteous indignation of many whose holy book exhorts them to ‘slay them wherever you find them, and drive them out of the places from which they drove you out’ (Qur’an 2:191).

The Sheikh-ul-Islam noted that one of the unsettled problems in the Caucasus region is the Karabakh conflict in which Armenians have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory and a million people were exposed to the policy of ethnic cleansing and this situation has been going on for over 20 years: “In the occupied territories Islamic, Christian and Jewish religious monuments were destroyed. And it can pave way to inter-religious confrontation. I consider that the joint efforts of religious leaders are important in terms of establishing peace and tranquility in the world, moral and spiritual healthy environment in societies and preserving traditional values. We should preserve and actively promote our unity and tolerance for the sake of humanity and salvation of mankind from global disasters.”

Baghdad (AsiaNew / Agencies) – The Iraqi Chaldean Patriarch, Louis Raphael Sako I, says he is seriously concerned over the continuing decline of Christian presence in the country: “If measures are not taken soon, in 10 years’ time there will only be a few thousand Christians left in Iraq”.

The Iraqi Christian community had more than a million followers, 600 thousand in Baghdad alone, now they have less than 400 thousand in the whole country. The main causes of this massive migration are poor security, increased death threats against Christians from Islamists and the seizure of their property by armed groups.

The Patriarch describes the scale of the phenomenon of migration as “frightening” and says it is worsened by the encouragement of Western powers.

After visiting communities throughout the country, Sako said: “Christians are those who suffer most from the upsurge in violence across Iraq. This is due to the fact that Christians do not maintain tribal affiliations, as do Arab Muslims. The only way they have to resolve disputes is through the Iraqi legal system, which is often criticized for its corruption, and which is subject to political manipulation”.

When the onslaught by Boko Haram began sometime in 2009, not many had thought that the attacks would assume such a murderous dimension as it is today.

Of all the attacks perpetrated by suspected members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, in the North Eastern part of the country, one that has remained in the minds of people is the February 25, 2014 attack on the pupils of Federal Government College, Buni Yadi in Yobe State.

In the attack that lasted several hours, no fewer than 59 students were slaughtered by the sect members while some of the victims were burnt to ashes.

In what appeared as the height of cruelty, the Islamic sect members arrived the College at about 2am and set the locked hostels, where the students slept, on fire, before shooting and slitting the throats of those who tried to climb out of the windows.

A teacher in the school was reported to have said that the sect members hurled explosives and fired guns into one of the hostels. When the pupils were trying to climb out of the windows, they were caught and slaughtered like sheep by the terrorists while some had their throats slit. Those who attempted to run away were gunned down.

The insurgents burnt down all the 24 buildings and staff quarters in the school before attacking the students. Reports had it that the onslaught lasted several hours.

A Junior Secondary School 3 student, Aliyu Ayuba, who fled the scene with a bullet in his back, said the assailants who were young men and boys in military uniforms and plain clothes, ordered the students to gather in one room and started shooting sporadically. Aliyu added that his roommates were killed and some burnt inside the hostel.” Read more.

World Review – “THE WEST is sleep-walking into a tragedy with implications beyond the Middle East unless it exposes the ideology behind radical Islamist thinking, writes Lord Alton.

Reports of religiously-motivated atrocities against Christians appear almost daily but the West, including some Christian leaders, seems to be in a state of denial.

Persecution in Nigeria, Syria, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sudan, Iran, Egypt and many other countries is relevant to us and by denying it, the nature and intensity of the suffering is minimised.

The West has to challenge a conspiracy of silence surrounding religious persecution.

Religious illiteracy among policy-makers in Western nations has led to serious mistakes in how conflicts in the Middle East are viewed. Those same mistakes could have consequences in our own back yard.

Article 18 of the 1948 Declaration of Human Rights was fashioned in the aftermath of the annihilation of millions of Jews in Nazi concentration camps in the Second World War (1939-1945). It states that, ‘ Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.’

But where is Article 18 in Syria, where Christians, some fleeing persecution in neighbouring Iraq, have been caught in the cross-fire and targeted by radical Islamist groups?

In Blue Nile and South Kordofan, the mainly Christian population suffers daily bombardment by the Sudanese government.

In Nigeria, 29 students were murdered by the terrorist group Boko Haram in their hostel in February 2014. Fifty more died in Boko Haram bombings in Maiduguri days later.” Read more.

The War Against Christians In Africa

By William Borst, Catholic Journal – “On September 21, 2013 a shocked world watched as Islamic gunmen attacked the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya targeting Christians, Westerners, and Muslims who were seen as not true-believers. The attack lasted four days, leaving 72 dead, including 61 civilians, six Kenyan soldiers and five attackers. More than 200 people were wounded in this attack.

The Westgate massacre was only part of a larger war against Christians that raged across Africa over the past three years. Stories of atrocities are numerous and horrific. The brutality of these attacks should awaken Christians globally and be a warning to Western leaders that the attack on the American embassy in Benghazi and the later Westgate killing spree were not isolated events, but part of a continuing pattern. Expect more reports of atrocities committed against Christians in the region.

The Islamist terrorists who are committing these atrocities in the name of religion make the Romans who persecuted Christians in ancient times look like 18th- century European philosophes. Eventually Rome converted to the powerful message brought by Christians — one that promised peace to the world through the salvation of Christ. These Islamist terrorists are not open to reason or conversion to the Christian message of ‘love thy neighbor.’ These fanatical Islamists seek to impose their beliefs through the sword by bringing death to the infidel unless their narrow interpretation of the Koran is accepted.

The Westgate Horror

The Westgate shopping mall proved an easy target for an Islamist gunman who shot Westerners on sight and rounded up natives suspected of being Christians. When dozens of militants wearing black turbans entered the upscale shopping mall frequented by Westerners and wealthy Kenyans, the terrorist began firing assault rifles and throwing grenades. Victims included six British citizens as well as others from France, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Peru, India, Ghana, South Africa and China.

Witnesses said that the gunman asked shoppers held hostage questions about Islam. Merely stating that one was a Muslim wasn’t enough. Terrorists demanded that those who claimed the faith recite verses from the Koran or name the Prophet Mohammed’s mother. Those who passed the test were allowed to walk away, while those who could not were summarily executed, children among them. One witness described her experience to the press this way: ‘I saw people being shot all around me, some with blood pouring from bad wounds. I was just praying, ‘God, keep me alive’ and that my day hadn’t come.’

A Pattern of Violence
