They have deceived themselves into believing that in order for there to be peace anywhere upon the earth Israel must first be destroyed. And “peace and safety” is what they expect to finally achieve when they gather together to come up against Jerusalem, anticipating that Israel will finally be a nation no more. By Jerrold L. Sobel, Frontpage Mag – “As we approach the 4th month and 14th meeting between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), the latest round of U.S. pressured negotiations seem hopelessly deadlocked.  What else is new?

Secretary of State Kerry arrived in Jerusalem this week to try and resuscitate the perpetually moribund peace talks between Israel and the PLO.  According to an article in the Jerusalem Post, Israeli officials claim both sides are cognizant a gap between them is so great that only an interim deal can be made in the 9-month time frame mandated by the Obama Administration.

Not wasting a moment, PLO secretary general, Yasser Abed Rabbo, immediately quashed the report and rejected it out of hand, stating it was ‘baseless.’….’The Palestinian leadership rejects any interim agreements…. We also reject the idea of establishing a Palestinian state with temporary borders.’ As if not emphatic enough, he went on to describe the Israeli position as:  ‘the worst in 20 years.’

PA Foreign Minister Riad Malki concurred, reaffirming as non-negotiable the demand for a two-state solution based upon the pre-1967 lines ‘where Palestine and Israel would live next to each other in security and peace.’  Wouldn’t that be nice?

In accordance, PLO Executive Committee member Wasel Abu Yusef  further dispelled the aura of secret negotiations by stating, if they didn’t get their way, ‘The Palestinians won’t be able to continue with them.  All indications show that the talks are headed toward failure.’  For reasons other than his, I couldn’t agree with him more.

Lost in all the hyperbole of deceptive surface issues such as ‘settlements,’ Jerusalem, the right of return, pre-67 borders, and the creation of a Palestinian state itself, is a failure to recognize these issues are outward symptoms of the struggle, not its essence.  The foundation, the least common denominator of this enmity is the expansionist nature of Islam, a political movement ensconced in a religion.” Read more.

Syria: At Least 9 Children Killed After Islamist Rebel Mortars Hit Christian School, Bus In Damascus

According to Islam, it is permissible to kill innocent children for the cause of “Allah” and his “prophet.” After all, to their beastly minds an infidel, even if they’re a little child, is still an infidel …

Bangkok Post – “Nine children were killed and 27 people wounded when mortar rounds hit a school and a school bus in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday, state television reported.

‘The toll in the terrorist targeting of the St. John of Damascus school with mortar rounds has risen to five dead, all of them children, and 27 injured,’ a news alert on Syrian state television said.

Another four students were killed when a mortar hit the vehicle they were in, in the central Bab Sharqi district of the capital, state news agency SANA said, adding that the driver was also killed.

Six others inside the bus, including four more students, were wounded in the ‘terrorist attack,’ SANA said.

The regime of President Bashar al-Assad uses the blanket term ‘terrorists’ to refer to the opposition.

Earlier, the interior minister told the official Al-Ikhbariya channel that 11 children had been hurt at the school in the majority Christian district of Qassaa, in central Damascus.

Both incidents took place in majority Christian district of the capital.

Rebel fighters arrayed in districts on the outskirts of the capital regularly launch rockets and mortar rounds at central neighbourhoods, causing damage and sometimes fatalities.” Read more.

An Obama Nation: Obama ‘Weakening Military In Unprecedented Ways’

While President Obama is busy “seizing the opportunity to radically change and weaken the culture of the military”, America’s enemies are busy planning to seize an opportunity of their own …

F. Michael Maloof, WND – “The U.S. military, which has seen generals and other high-level officers relieved of duty at an unprecedented rate during the Obama administration, is in trouble largely because of the radical social experimentation being forced upon it, according to the Center for Military Readiness.

CMR’s president, Elaine Donnelly, said in an interview with WND that officers have gotten the Obama administration’s message of political correctness – ‘and most have been virtually silent ever since.’

Under Obama, she said, budgets for the military have been slashed, SEAL Team Six members exposed as the ones who killed Osama bin Laden, open homosexuality introduced and service members pressed into service to hold an umbrella over the president during the rain.

During the Reagan administration, Donnelly was appointed by Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services. And in 1992, Pres. George H. W. Bush likewise appointed her to the Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces.

Donnelly says Obama has done ‘great damage’ to the military by taking away resources and imposing ‘heavy burdens of social experimentation.’

‘But most flag and general officers are following orders, keeping their heads down and, in my opinion, letting down the troops,’ she said.

Although the president is ‘weakening our military in unprecedented ways,’ she reiterated, ‘the brass has remained largely silent since the spring of 2010.’

And she believes the Obama administration is taking advantage of this silence among military leaders.

‘Due to dissembling and deception from the military’s uniformed and civilian leaders, President Obama is seizing the opportunity to radically change and weaken the culture of the military,’ Donnelly told WND. ‘The president’s objective is ‘gender diversity’ in the combat arms, and the Joint Chiefs, so far, have persuaded Congress that they need not intervene.’

‘Liberal activists,’ she said, are seeking to remove all military opposition ‘to their most radical objectives.'” Read more.

‘We Will Bleed You To Death’: Muslim Killers Describe Their Aims For The West After Syria Fight

By Sharona Schwartz, The Blaze – “British men fighting alongside Al Qaeda-linked groups in Syria have said that after Syria, they aim to take the battle to the United States and Britain.

Vice News posted video with interviews of British men who traveled to the combat zone to pair up with the jihadi groups Jabhat al-Nusra (Nusra Front) and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

‘I say to United States that your time will come and we will bleed you to death and, inshallah [Allah willing], will raise the flag in the White House,’ a 26-year-old Briton told the Vice News interviewer.

‘My feeling is great, hamdullallah (thank Allah), I’m happy I’m here. And I’m here to please Allah… and I’m not here to please anyone else but Allah,’ he added, describing his aim as contributing to jihad on behalf of Muslims.

During the entire video, all of the men were masked, revealing only their eyes, and none provided their names.

A second British citizen blamed his government and prime minister for perpetrating ‘crimes’ against Muslims. He tied his objectives with those of the killers of Lee Rigby, the British soldier who was hacked to death in the London neighborhood of Woolwich in May. The perpetrators – both Muslim converts – described their motives as revenge for the killing of Muslims by British forces serving in the Middle East.

‘Like the guy in Woolwich, he explained that [Prime Minister] David Cameron would never walk on the street, and he’ll never get shot in the face, whereas you guys who are soldiers, or just normal folk, will take the blame for the crimes that are committed worldwide by Britain itself so we have to fight. It’s part of our obligation…to protect our honor, to protect our women,’ the Syrian rebel from the UK said.

After Syria, the aim is ‘to bring back the honor of Islam from Filastine [Palestine] to Al Aqsa to all over the Muslim world, and Britain will be next,’ said one of the British jihadis.

‘From this land we will march toward the Al Aqsa mosque [in Jerusalem] in the name of Allah. Allahu Akbar! [Allah is the greatest],’ said another.” Read more.

British Intelligence: ‘There Are Thousands Of People Living In Britain Today Who Support Al Qaida’

By Owen Bennett, Express – “Speaking in an unprecedented joint appearance before Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee, the heads of MI5, MI6 and the GCHQ answered questions in public.

The committee heard that Syria has become a haven for jihadists since the outbreak of the civil war, and hundreds of British citizens have travelled to the country as a result.

MI5 chief Andrew Parker said there are thousands of people living in Britain today who support al Qaida, and the head of MI6 Sir John Sawers warned the threat of terrorist attacks against Britain is increasing.

Asked how concerned he was about terrorist tourism, Mr Parker told the committee: ‘It has grown recently and is growing at the moment, because of Syria.

‘Syria has become a very attractive place for people to go for that reason – those who support or sympathise with the al Qaida ideological message.

‘We’ve seen low hundreds of people from this country go to Syria for periods and come back – some large numbers are still there – and get involved in fighting.

‘This is partly because of the proximity of Syria and the ease of travel there, but also because it is attractive as what they would see as a jihadi cause.’

Mr Parker said: ‘It is a very important strand of the threat we face, the way in which there is interaction between people who live in this country who sympathise with or support the al Qaida ideology and then travel to areas where they meet these al Qaida groupings, either al Qaida itself in south Asia or some of these other groupings across other regions.

‘The attractiveness to these groupings is that they meet British citizens who are willing to engage in terrorism and they task them to do so back at home, where they have higher impact, in this country.” Read more.

Barack Hussein Obama Calls Israel’s Netanyahu After Stinging Criticism Of Iran Nuclear Plan

By Mark Felsenthal and Matt Spetalnick, Reuters – “U.S. President Barack Obama called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday after the Israeli leader delivered a stinging rebuke to Washington over a deal taking shape in talks between Iran and world powers seeking to curb Tehran’s nuclear program.

The telephone call marked an apparent bid by Obama to tamp down growing unease over the emerging Iran deal among the United States’ Middle East allies, including Saudi Arabia, as well as mounting opposition to the plan on Capitol Hill.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who flew to Geneva to join the high-stakes talks after what was described as a tense meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem, was seeking to close what he called ‘important gaps’ with Iran over the terms of an agreement.

‘The president provided the prime minister with an update on negotiations in Geneva and underscored his strong commitment to preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which is the aim of the ongoing negotiations,’ the White House said, adding that they agreed to continue ‘to stay in touch on this issue.’

An Obama administration official said the call between the two leaders – who have a history of strained relations over Iran policy – was ‘very long’ but declined to characterize the tone or provide further details.

Netanyahu warned Kerry and his European counterparts that Iran would be getting ‘the deal of the century’ if they carried out proposals to grant Tehran limited, temporary sanctions relief in exchange for a partial suspension of its nuclear program and a pledge not to expand it.

‘Israel utterly rejects it and what I am saying is shared by many in the region, whether or not they express that publicly,’ Netanyahu told reporters in Jerusalem.

Israel, believed to be the Middle East’s only nuclear-armed power, has left open the prospect of military strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites if diplomacy fails to halt its atomic drive.” Read more.

Newsweek: Turkey Trumping Islam Over Democracy, Seeks To Become Major World Power

In seeking to become a major world power, Turkey’s rapid shift towards an Islamist theocracy means we may soon see this “King of the North” make a stand on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood, the former Islamist rulers in Egypt and Turkish ally. And having one of the largest militaries in the Muslim world isn’t good news for the Egyptian military’s “King of the South” General Al-Sisi, nor for Israel …

Although Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has long been essential to President Barack Obama’s strategy in the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, and although he boasts the second largest army in the American-led NATO, he is currently exploring new alliances with some of America’s main commercial and political competitors and long-established enemies.

By reaching out to countries like China and Iran, Erdogan is expressing his disappointment at America’s perceived withdrawal from the region, according to some foreign policy analysts. He has snubbed advances from America’s arms manufacturers, hosted top officials from Tehran and deepened a rift with Israel, its former ally. Others believe he is returning to his former policy, long considered a failure, of seeking ties with everybody in the neighborhood and beyond.

But recent dramatic shifts in policy may also be part of Erdogan’s search for a new political role, steering Turkey away from its century-long secularism and turning it towards a new model in which Islam trumps democracy and Turkey moves from being not simply one more member of the NATO alliance but a major world power in its own right with ties around the globe.

Erdogan was quick to develop a special relationship with Obama, who saw the policies of his Islamist Justice and Development Party (AKP) as a model for how Islam and democracy can exist side by side. But Erdogan was unhappy about Obama’s reluctance to intervene in Syria’s civil war and some of his latest diplomatic moves have raised eyebrows in Washington.

‘Relations remain good,’ said Steven Cook of the Council of Foreign Relations, a longtime Turkey watcher. But, he adds, a nagging question now arises in American foreign policy circles: ‘What is it that Turkey provides?’

As Ankara seeks new alliances, Erdogan’s opponents, both inside and outside the country, point to his ‘neo-Ottomanism.’ Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, a former academic who is the main architect of the AKP’s foreign policy shifts, often invokes the memory of the old Ottoman Empire, complete with dropping the names of the empire’s major outposts. ‘Without going to war, we will again tie Sarajevo to Damascus, Benghazi to Erzurum and to Batumi,’ he promised recently.

There are many signs of Turkey’s departure from the century-old traditions established by the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – who turned the country into an outward facing, secular, Western-friendly state in the aftermath of the Ottoman defeat in World War I. Erdogan is so hostile to Ataturk, he can’t even bring himself to utter the words Istanbul Ataturk Airport. This week, in another sign he is shifting Turkey in a new direction, he clashed with students in Istanbul who were afraid he’d outlaw mixed-sex apartment-sharing, which is seen by some in his entourage as sinful and un-Islamic.” Read more.

‘Reign Of Terror’: Islamist Rebels Target Citizen Journalists, ‘I Swear To Allah Your Head Will Be Cut Off’

AFP – “Al Qaeda is targeting citizen journalists in Syria’s Raqa with a wave of kidnappings, beatings and assassinations aimed at silencing them, in what activists call a reign of terror.

‘Is your head still attached to your body? I swear to God your head will be cut off, and that we’ll give you a visa to hell,’ read the threat sent last week to photographer Abd Hakawati.

It came from the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Originally from the central province of Hama, Hakawati had worked on and off in the northern city of Raqa in recent months.

The regime has detained him twice and he has been wounded three times since the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began in March 2011.

‘But I had never thought of leaving Syria until now, nor did I ever feel any fear,’ Hakawati told AFP over the Internet.

‘Just thinking of these mercenary killers hidden behind beards and masks makes my heart shiver with fear, and makes me want to kill myself.’

Hakawati is friends with citizen journalist Mohammad Nour Matar, a Raqa native kidnapped by ISIL in August.

Matar’s brother Mezar, himself a photographer, spoke to AFP from neighbouring Turkey, where dozens of Raqa activists have fled ISIL in recent weeks.

‘It’s become hard to work in Raqa because of the kidnappings, beatings, detentions and attacks against media activists,’ said Mezar Matar.

ISIL, he said, ‘sees all media activists as collaborators with the West.'” Read more.

At the top of the most wanted list of the Simon Wiesenthal Center there is a man who today would be one hundred years old. His name is Alois Brunner and he is responsible for the deaths of over 130,000 Jews. The Nazi hunters still place him in Syria, where he was last seen in 2001, protected by the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

Brunner was one of the most zealous ideologues and officials of the ‘Final Solution’, the plan for the extermination of the Jews. The idea haunted him to the point that in 1985 he said to the German magazine Bunte: ‘I regret that I didn’t finish the job’.

When the United Arab Republic of Syria was formed, Dr. Brunner took up residence at 7 George Haddad, in the embassy district of Damascus. In 1961, the year that Adolf Eichmann was captured by the Israelis in Buenos Aires, Brunner received a bomb-letter, probably from the Mossad and lost an eye.

Brunner, a personal friend of Hafez el Assad, took part in the construction of Syria’s secret services on the model of the Gestapo.

In November 1967, the neo-Nazi organization Bund Heimattreuer Jugend published in Esslingen Hegensberg, West Germany, the obituary of Karl van Kynast: ‘Lieutenant (res.) of the Bundeswehr, Captain in the army of the United Arab Republic, he felt at the Suez Canal on 12 September, 1967’.

Brunner is, in fact, only the best known of a number of Nazi officials who participated in the construction of of the Islamic regimes and who died in those lands after converting to Islam.

This alliance between the Nazi swastika and the Islamic Koran is well explained in a 1942 article written by Johann von Leers, the best known of Nazi converts to Islam. Published in the newspaper ‘Die Judenfrage‘, the article presented Judaism and Islam in terms of Hegel’s thesis and antithesis: ‘The hostility of Muhammad towards the Jews had a consequence: the Oriental Jews were totally paralyzed. If the rest of the world had adopted a similar policy, we would not have the ‘Jewish question’. Islam has made an eternal service to the world by preventing the conquest of Arabia by the Jews’.” Read more.

The official, Khalil Al-Khiya, stressed that Hamas will never give up on one inch of ‘Palestine’. He made the comments during a memorial event for five Hamas terrorists who were killed by IDF soldiers in Gaza last week.

‘This way (in which the dead terrorists acted) sends a message to the Zionists, according to which they have no place in the land of Palestine,’ said Al-Khiya, who threatened, ‘We shall expel you from our land, we will fight on it against you, and we will either kill you or expel you from it after you surrender.’

Al-Khiya praised the ‘resistance’ in Judea and Samaria, calling on Palestinian Authority Arabs in the region to ‘continue the path of Jihad.’

He stressed that the jihad is the way to achieve victory. The event was attended by top officials in Hamas, including the deputy head of its political bureau and Hamas’s Prime Minister in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh.

The statement by Al-Khiya follows another one by a senior Hamas politician, who earlier joined the call for an ‘intifada’ terror war against Israel over Jews’ visits to the Temple Mount.” Read more.

The Enemy has been hard at work seeking to exalt and magnify himself as Isaiah prophesied above through the religious ideology of Islam, one that diametrically opposes everything that the Judeo-Christian faith represents and stands for. Reuters – “The messages that accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wrote on the inside walls of the boat he hid in during a police manhunt four days after the attack were intended to explain his actions should he die, his lawyers argued…

Prosecutors have argued that Tsarnaev poses both a safety risk to prison officials and that his words could inspire others to plan attacks similar to the Boston Marathon incident, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his other brother, Tamerlan, planted a pair of homemade pressure-cooker bombs at the crowded finish line.

‘While the government may view these words as an implied ‘clarion call’ to other would-be radicals … it was law enforcement that originally leaked existence of the alleged boat writings to the press and it is the government that continues to broadcast the ‘clarion’ by repeating, emphasizing, and attributing inspirational significance to these words,’ the filing said.

A June filing by prosecutors, which charged Tsarnaev with the April 15 bombing and the murder of a university police officer three days later, provided detail on the messages the ethnic Chechen, who had lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts, wrote as he hid in a boat dry-docked in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Plague And Pestilence: Outbreaks In Syria Putting Europe At Risk From Polio Say Disease Experts

BBC – “Europe could be at risk from polio following a recent outbreak in Syria, infectious disease experts say.

In the Lancet journal, two doctors in Germany say the cases in Syria – which had been free of wild poliovirus since 1999 – could endanger nearby regions.

They say because only one in 200 people infected develops paralysis it could take a year of ‘silent transmission’ before an outbreak is detected.

In that time hundreds of individuals could be carrying the infection.

Prof Martin Eichner, of the University of Tubingen and Stefan Brockmann, of Reutlingen Regional Public Health Office explain that most European countries use inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) rather than the live oral polio vaccine (OPV), because the latter can, in rare cases, lead to cases of acute flaccid paralysis, the main symptom of polio.

Whilst IPV is highly effective at preventing polio disease, it does not give the same level of protection against the virus as the oral drops, so vaccination coverage needs to be very high. The doctors say that countries with low coverage such as Austria (83%) and Ukraine (74%) risk a sustained outbreak should the virus be introduced via refugees fleeing Syria. Polio vaccine coverage in the UK is at 95%.

The doctors said Israel could also pose a potential polio threat.

Prof Eichner told me: ‘Wild poliovirus has also been found in sewage in Israel and from samples taken from some symptom-free individuals since February 2013. Although there have been no cases of polio in Israel, tourists could risk bringing the infection to other countries.’

Dr Benjamin Neuman, a virologist at the University of Reading, said: ‘The Syrian outbreak puts Europe at risk because of the way we give vaccines. In parts of the world where it is still possible to catch a wild strain of poliovirus, children are usually vaccinated with a live but genetically weakened poliovirus which gives excellent protection but has a tiny risk of changing back to the more dangerous form.

‘However, in parts of the world where polio has been eradicated, like the UK, children are usually given a killed vaccine. It doesn’t protect quite as well but it cannot mutate, so it protects reasonably well while preventing polio from being accidentally reintroduced to a country.'” Read more.
