Norwegian Muslim Who Massacred Children At Kenya Mall Was ‘Committed’ To Islam ‘But Not Extreme’

So says a former classmate. Closet jihadists. They’ll often appear to be “respectful” and “quiet” and “moderate” by friends and neighbors, at least right up until we hear the screams of “Allahu akbar” following by gunfire

By TOM ODULA and JASON STRAZIUSO, Associated Press – “Almost one month after gunmen attacked an upscale mall in Kenya, one of them has been identified as a Norwegian-Somali, officials said Friday, as charred body parts taken from a collapsed portion of the shopping center awaited forensics analysis to determine if they were the remains of the assailants.

The suspect was identified as Hassan Abdi Dhuhulow, the first time officials have confirmed having a real name of one of possibly four attackers from the Somali militant group al-Shabab who stormed the mall on Sept. 21. Norwegian tax records show a Hassan Abdi Dhuhulow was born in 1990 and was registered at an address in Larvik, southern Norway, as late as 2009.

A former classmate of Dhuhulow’s at Thor Heyerdahl High School – named after the Norwegian adventurer – said she was shocked when she found out he was a suspect in the Nairobi attack.

‘The video I saw looks a lot like him. But it’s difficult to see,’ said the former classmate, who didn’t want her name to be used because she was uncomfortable being associated with a terror investigation.

‘He was a quiet guy,’ she said. ‘He was very committed to his religion, but not extreme. He brought a prayer mat to school.’

Larvik is a coastal town of about 40,000, tucked in between the woods and the sea, surrounded by agricultural land and close to the mountains.

Community leader Mohamed Hassan said that Dhuhulow, as a boy, would listen to his elders in the mosque and be respectful.

‘He was not a trouble maker here in Larvik,’ Hassan told The Associated Press by phone.

But newly released video from closed-circuit TV security cameras installed at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi show four armed men, cold-bloodedly shooting defenseless civilians.” Read more.

Al-Shabaab Calls Upon Devout UK Muslims To Kill ‘Moderates’ And ‘Cut The Necks Of The Disbelievers’

10/18/2013 1 comment

Qur’an Sura 4:76a, “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah …”

“Moderate” Muslims — those who do not practice the true teachings of Islam by not fighting “in the cause of Allah” — are apparently numbered with the “disbelievers” …

By Shiv Malik, Duncan Gardham and Vikram Dodd, The Guardian – “A prominent British Muslim commentator is being protected by police following concerns over his safety following the release of a video by Somali-based terror group, al-Shabaab, which singled out several British Muslims for having criticised jihadists in the aftermath of the Woolwich murder.

Mohammed Ansar, a filmmaker and journalist who has spoken out against extremism in Islam and the far right, said police visited his home at midnight on Wednesday, concerned for his safety after Shabaab released an hour-long film, The Woolwich Attack: It’s an Eye for an Eye.

Other British Muslims named in the film have also been contacted by police and offered security advice since the video’s release, the Guardian has learned.

Narrated by a man with a British accent, wearing a black mask and a camouflage jacket, the Shabaab production praises those behind the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby, describes the Woolwich killings as ‘a new and terrifying reality’ and incites others to carry out attacks in the UK.

In the film, the jihadist group, which has also claimed responsibility for the bloody Kenyan Westgate mall attack, singles out specific British Muslims, including Ansar, who have distanced ‘themselves from the mujahideen who carried out these attacks’ as having ‘mutilated the teachings of Islam’.

Holding an automatic weapon in his hands, the narrator tells people to purchase knives: ‘Do not waste your time trying to reinvent the wheel. If you can’t afford to get hold of one of these then certainly a simple knife from your local B&Q will do the job.’

At the end, the narrator encourages others to follow the example of the Woolwich killers and not to let the security services put them off.

Released to coincide with the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, which ended on Tuesday, the film also identifies 11 British ‘martyrs’ who have died fighting for al-Shabaab.

One British man, named as Talha from Tower Hamlets in east London is shown calling on others to follow him: ‘I call upon you today all the Muslim men in Britain, especially the people of Tower Hamlets who are in the city I was born in … I call upon you to come to jihad, and raise the banner, humiliate the disbelievers, cut the necks of the disbelievers.'” Read more.

Syria: Bombs Planted Inside One Of The World’s Oldest Churches

For peaceful purposes, despite paying Islam’s “jizya” extortion money …

By Colin Freeman, The Telegraph – “Bombs have been planted in the confessional box of one of the world’s oldest churches in a Syrian town hailed as the country’s last remaining centre of religious tolerance, Syria’s most senior Christian leader has disclosed.

On a visit to London to highlight the persecution of Christians in the civil war, Patriarch Gregorios III said the two devices were found at the Cathedral of Constantine and Helen in the rebel-held town of Yabroud.

Not only is the church one of the oldest in the world, but it lies in a town where Christians and Sunni Muslims have so far resisted efforts by al-Qaeda-affiliated rebel groups to drive a wedge between them.

As The Telegraph reported on a visit to Yabroud earlier this month, a self-appointed local council has tried to keep both foreign jihadists and local mafia gangs at bay, as well as government forces. Only last week the Syrian army shelled the church.

The Patriarch said that early on Tuesday morning, two remote controlled bombs were discovered planted in the church, one of them in the confessional box. Challenging the town’s image of harmony, he also claimed that local Christian families had been asked to pay a monthly protection tax of $35,000 by local ‘armed groups’.

‘Yabroud is under the control of armed groups, and Christians are asked for protection money, yet in spite of this, there are these bombs being placed in the church,’ he said.

He added that in the event of a rebel victory in the country’s civil war, life for Christians could get even harder because of the hardline Islamist elements in the anti-government ranks.” Read more.

Muslim Scholar: The Islamist Trojan Horse Seeks To Change Laws, Wage War To The Death Against The Christian West And Israel

By Ali Salim, Gatestone Institute – “With every Middle East country at each other’s throat, the Arab-Muslim world is uncertain of its fate. Some of its totalitarian regimes were toppled in the so-called Arab Spring but they have yet to be replaced by stable governments; the battle for the future of the Middle East is still being fought. The real question is whether the young people, representatives of moderate Islam and secular Arabs who initiated the Arab Spring, will be able to keep the region from being taken over by Islamists seeking to promote their own agendas, and to prevent it from being engulfed by a fundamentalist form of Islam.

Radical Islam may have been weakened but it is still a force. The revolution of the young reformists against the Shah of Iran was exploited by the Shi’ite Ayatollahs to take control of Iran. Turkey’s democratic government was overthrown as Erdogan established himself as its Islamist dictator. In the Palestinian Authority-administered territories, Hamas, a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, rose up against the PA, took over the Gaza Strip, and now eyes the West Bank and awaits the chance to pounce. Islamists almost took over Egypt, but praise to Allah (S.W.A.T.), were defeated at the last moment. Fortunately, the Muslim Brotherhood regime of Mohamed Morsi was terminated by the Egyptian army, commanded by the Minister of Defense, Gen. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Past experience has shown that as soon as the Islamists are in control they change the democratic laws and institutions that allowed them to gain power; they are no longer interested in change or willing to accept opposition of any sort. It soon becomes clear that they cannot solve their country’s problems; their only desire is to exercise complete political and religious control, and the desperate, faltering masses continue to suffer as before. Eventually, with no help in sight, some will turn to more extreme forms of Islam, praying to Allah (S.W.A.T.) to save them from their hopeless plight, while others, disappointed by the Islamist regime, will abandon religion altogether.

Exposed by the media to the achievements of the West, the masses of the Middle East thirst for change and desire the quality of life enjoyed by the rest of the world. The Islamist movements, on the other hand, especially those that grabbed political power, desire the total alienation of their citizens from the West. Progress, freedom, human rights, a thriving economy, security and democracy are all trademarks of a competing religion, Christianity, while the Arab and Muslim world, despite its oil, land and water, remains mired in the shifting sand dunes of backwardness and reaction.

The values of the Judeo-Christian world and the attendant success of its economies and societies threaten the foundations of the Islamic faith and its universal mission, which to us feels as if it has failed, lags behind the rest of the world and deals only in bloodshed. From an Islamic point of view, such a failure is completely unacceptable. In addition, the mere existence and economic and military success of the Jewish State of Israel and what can be seen on television as its genuine democracy present a terrible challenge to radical Islam: for Islam, the Jews are not a nation but a collection of bits and pieces that have no right to a state of their own, to be condemned to eternal division and humiliation for rejecting the words of Allah (S.W.A.T.). Islam represents the one and only true, relevant and timely religion; there is no need for any other.

Therefore, as far as radical, fundamentalist Islam is concerned, the success of the West in general and of the Jews and Israel – the West’s ‘imperialist branch’ – in a flourishing state in the heart of the Middle East, all seem to contradict and cast into doubt the mission and rightness of Islam. The success of the West is unbearable, so the Islamists have declared a war to the death against it and against Israel.

Al Qaeda And The Muslim Brotherhood Hold Secret Meeting In Jordan, Discuss New Jihad In Egypt

10/16/2013 2 comments

Not so secret if the Arab media is reporting it. And not surprising, either, if true. After all, every Al Qaeda leader was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood or one of its arms at some point and both share one mind and one goal for the cause of “Allah” and his “prophet”: a global Islamist caliphate

By ARIEL BEN SOLOMON, The Jerusalem Post – “Al-Qaida and the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood met secretly last week in Jordan according to a source quoted by the Egyptian daily Al-Youm al-Sabaa on Saturday.

The meeting focused on the conflict in Egypt and Syria and an altercation broke out between a Brotherhood member and jihadist leader Mohammad al-Miqdad, and the latter asked the Brotherhood not to publicly denounce the actions of the jihadists.

The jihadists discussed their plans to start moving Syrian and Iraqi jihadists into Egypt in order to carry out terror operations there after the Eid al-Adha festival, which falls on Tuesday.

It was explained in the meeting that the attempted assassination against the Egyptian interior minister and the attack on a satellite dish, which is part of the state’s TV communication system, were meant to demonstrate that they could access vital institutions in Cairo.” Source – The Jerusalem Post.

Flashback: Every Al Qaeda Leader Was A Member Of The Muslim Brotherhood – “Remember that the Muslim Brotherhood are ‘moderate’ Islamists and by moderate, we mean that they kill people and had Osama bin Laden on board as a member… Zawahiri would know all about the Muslim Brotherhood as he came out of Egypt and joined the Muslim Brotherhood as a teenager. He provided much of the real blueprint for Al-Qaeda based on the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood. The pretense that Bin Laden and Zawahari are extremists while Morsi and El-Shater are moderates is just that. They’re all Muslim Brotherhood veterans carrying out its mission and its goals.” Read more.

The Middle East: Will A Divided Kingdom Be Divided Yet Again?

10/16/2013 6 comments

Although the article below from a Lebanese paper touches upon the possibility that we could soon witness Middle Eastern nations divided and maps redrawn across the Arab world, its real focus, surprisingly, is upon just how inept Arab countries have been at “developing” themselves for nearly a century after Western powers first redrew the map of the Middle East. As divided as these nations already are, if they are also split geographically it’ll be because of the same reason they’ve been unable to develop themselves into modern, democratic and free societies to begin with. It’ll be because of Islam

Daniel 2:41-42, 44, “Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile… And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Recommended: Arab Writer: Islam’s Uncivilized ‘Civilization’ Has Accomplished Nothing, ‘Philosophy And Logic Are Considered Heresy In Islam’

By Rami G. Khouri, The Daily Star (Lebanon) – “An article and map in The New York Times’ Sunday edition two weeks ago examined the possibility that current upheavals may cause some Arab states to break up into smaller units. Written by the veteran foreign correspondent Robin Wright, the article created lively discussion among Middle East-focused circles in the United States, and in the Middle East it sparked wild speculation that it evidenced a new plan by Western powers, Israelis and others of evil intent to further partition large Arab countries into many smaller, weaker ones. The title of the article, ‘How 5 Countries Could Become 14,’ naturally fed such speculation, as did the immediate linkage in millions of Arab minds of how British and French colonial officials in 1916-1918 partitioned the former Ottoman lands of the Levant into a series of new countries called Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel, while their colonial handiwork had also created new entities that ultimately became independent countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and others.

Wright’s article explored the possibility that Libya could fracture into three units, Iraq and Syria into five units (of Druze, Kurds, Alawites, Sunnis and Shiites), Saudi Arabia into five units, and Yemen into two units. Syria might trigger such fragmentation across the region in stressed multisectarian societies. She did not advocate this, but only speculated whether sectarian stresses and conflicts might reconfigure countries that were not designed by the will of their own people.

Most critics of the article and map were horrified by the possibility that foreign powers may once again be at work redrawing the map of the Middle East, reaffirming two of the greatest lived traumas that have long plagued the Arab world: the ability and willingness of external powers to meddle deeply and structurally in our domestic condition, and the total inability of vulnerable, helpless Arab societies to do anything about this.

I understand the harsh reactions by Arabs who fear another possible redrawing of our map by foreign hands, but I fear that this is not really the bad news of the day; the really bad news is the state of existing Arab countries, and how most of them have done such a terrible job of managing the societies that they inherited after 1920.

The horror map is not the one published in the NYT two weeks ago; it is the existing map and condition of the Arab countries that have spent nearly a century developing themselves and have so little to show for it.

Not a single credible Arab democracy. Not a single Arab land where the consent of the governed actually matters. Not a single Arab society where individual men and women are allowed to use all their God-given human faculties of creativity, ingenuity, individuality, debate, free expression, autonomous analysis and full productivity. Not a single Arab society that can claim to have achieved a Read more…

Syrian Rebels Desecrate Churches, Replace Crosses With The Black Flag Of Al Qaeda

10/15/2013 4 comments

1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

By Alissa Tabirian, CNS News – “A Syrian rebel group affiliated with Al Qaeda desecrated two Christian churches in Northern Syria late last month, replacing their crosses with the symbolic black flag of jihad.

The rebels also destroyed relics, painting and statues allegedly in response to the city’s anti-sectarian protests against the jihadist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

‘We in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights strongly condemn such sectarian actions that contradict the Syrian people’s demands in justice, freedom, democracy and equality,’ the group said.

Dubai-based al-Aan TV broadcast exclusive footage of members of the ISIS attacking the al-Shuhada Armenian Orthodox Church, also known as the Martyrs’ Church,  and the Sayida al-Bishara Catholic Church in the Islamist-held city of Raqqa.

The video, posted on YouTube, shows a jihadist on the roof of the church throwing a crucifix to the ground below, where it is kicked by an onlooker.

The conflict between U.S.-backed rebel groups and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, which has so far resulted in about 100,000 casualties, has also had grave consequences for the country’s vulnerable Christian minority.

Although Christians in Syria have been hesitant to take sides in the ongoing civil war, they are considered sympathetic to Assad, making them targets for rebel-led violence.

As CNSNews previously reported, the patriarchal vicar of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Jordan warned that Christians ‘will be massacred’ if the Syrian Army were to leave Christian-populated cities.” Read more.

Jihadists Across The Islamic World See Syria Insurgency As Just The Beginning Of A Middle East Revolution

The healing is well under way …

Revelation 13:2b-4, “And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth [“gē” (G1093) – land enclosed within fixed boundaries; territory; region] marveled as they followed the beast. And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?'”

By Loveday Morris, Joby Warrick and Souad Mekhennet, The Independent – “Shortly before its operatives killed 14 Iraqi Shia children in a school bombing this month, the group once known as al-Qa’ida in Iraq sent guerrillas into northern Syrian villages with orders to reopen local Sunni classrooms. In a series of early-autumn visits, the militants handed out religious textbooks and backpacks bearing the group’s new name: the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

A four-hour drive to the east, a rival al-Qa’ida faction, Jabhat al-Nusra, was busy setting up a jobs programme in Ash-Shaddadi, a desert town it has held since February. The Islamists restarted production in an oilfield that had been closed by the fighting, and fired up the town’s gas plant, now a source of income for the town.

The two rebel groups, with their distinct lineages to the terrorist network founded by Osama bin Laden, have concentrated Western fears of rising jihadist influences within Syria’s rebel movement. Two-and-a-half years after the start of the country’s uprising, Islamists are carving out fiefdoms and showing signs of digging in.

‘We all have the same aqidah [Islamic creed] as al-Nusra or the Islamic State,’ said a 23-year-old Jordanian Palestinian who gave the name Abu Abdallah in an interview in Jordan and who fights for a rebel brigade allied with the Islamists. ‘The aim is to free the Muslim lands and have the Islamic flag there.’

The prominence of the two groups — as fighters, as recruiters and, more recently, as local administrators — appears to have accelerated even as the Obama administration seeks to bolster moderate and secularist rebels with new weapons and training. Multiple independent studies, as well as Western and Middle Eastern intelligence officials, show the hard-line Islamists surging ahead by almost every measure, undermining Western efforts to find a democratic alternative to President Assad…

The formal titles adopted by both al-Qa’ida groups include the Arabic term for greater Syria — al-Sham — that radical Islamists use to link their movement to the ancient Islamic caliphate that ruled a vast swath of the Middle East, with Damascus as its capital. Its use, the jihadists say, evokes an image of a future Middle East with a single Islamic state, encompassing the territories of Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan and Israel.

It is the groups’ appeal to a greater jihad that explains why foreign volunteers continue streaming into Syria in numbers that surpass those seen during earlier conflicts in Afghanistan, Bosnia or Iraq, said Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer and a Middle East adviser to four US administrations. ‘Syria has become the most important destination for aspiring jihadists ever …'” Read more.

‘Having A Blast … Literally’: California Convert To Islam Posts The Joy Of Jihad On Facebook, Arrested For Aiding Terrorists

Hadith Sahih Muslim 1:33, “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah …”

By AP, Daily Mail – “A 24-year-old Muslim convert who had been licensed to work as a security guard has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to join Al-Qaeda and lying on a U.S. passport application to aid international terrorism.

Sinh Vinh Ngo Nguyen, who also went by the name Hasan Abu Omar Ghannoum after converting to Islam, was arrested on Friday in Santa Ana while waiting to board a bus to Mexico, the FBI said.

Officials said he planned to become a foot soldier for the terrorist group and had spent time in Syria.

Facebook page with the name Hasan Abu Omar Ghannoum, the same identity Nguyen used in his passport, documented a trip to Lebanon last year and a crossing into Syria.

In January, Ghannoum wrote: ‘I’m doing well in Syria … having a blast here, and I mean literally.’

The Garden Grove, California, resident was ordered detained on the grounds of danger and risk of flight during a brief federal court appearance in Orange County. He is a U.S. citizen.

The four-page indictment alleges Nguyen attempted to work under the direction of Al-Qaeda, but no details of the alleged terrorism act were provided.

The Orange County Register reported Nguyen went to Syria in December after hearing about the civil war.

Sen. Rand Paul Shames Media For Ignoring Islam’s ‘Worldwide War On Christianity’

10/11/2013 8 comments

Senator Rand Paul noted in a speech today at the Values Voter Summit that “Pew Research did a poll and it indicated that 21% of Egyptians, 15% of Jordanians … 13% of Pakistani Muslims find terrorism acceptable, if not laudable… [I]f you add up the numbers in just three countries it’s over 40 million Muslims [who] sympathize with violence against Christians. This shouldn’t be understated.” And indeed, if between just 10% and 13% of Muslims all across the Muslim world are devoted enough to their “prophet” and to Islam, that’s about 200 million antichrist soldiers ready to raise the banner of jihad for the cause of “Allah” and his “prophet” against a world of non-Muslims. Where have we heard that number before? …

Revelation 6:8, “And I looked, and behold a [chlōros – green] horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the [thērion – savage, brutal, bestial men] of the earth…”

Revelation 9:13-16, “Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.”

Sen. Paul went on to describe how “[President Obama is] now arming Islamic rebels who are allied with Al Qaeda who attacked us on 9/11. Does that make any sense at all? American tax dollars should never be spent to prop up a war on Christianity, but that’s what’s happening now across the globe …”

Qur’an Sura 8:39, “And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.”

The Daily Caller – “Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul spent Friday morning telling stories to conservatives about the persecution of Christians across the world.

‘Today I want to tell you about a war the mainstream media is ignoring,’ the Republican lawmaker said Friday during the Values Voter Summit in Washington. ‘From Boston to Zanzibar, there is a worldwide war on Christianity.’

‘You won’t hear much about it on the evening news because the answer is not convenient and does not fit the narrative we have been told about radical Islam,’ Paul added.

Paul also said President Obama ‘tries to gloss over who is attacking and killing Christians.’

‘But the truth is, there is a worldwide war on Christians by a fanatical element of Islam,’ Paul said.

‘Ever since 9/11, commentators have tried to avoid pointing fingers at Islam,’ he said. ‘While it is fair to point out that most Muslims are not committed to violence against Christians, this is not the whole truth and we should not let political correctness stand in the way of the truth.’

Examples referenced by Paul:

  • Referencing an incident in Syria, Paul spoke of Islamic rebels storming into town and demanding everyone convert to Islam or die. ‘Sarkis el Zakhm stood up and answered them, ‘I am a Christian and if you want to kill me because I am a Christian, do it.’ Those were Sarkis last words.’
  • ‘Elsewhere in Syria, Islamic rebels have filmed beheadings of their captives and celebrated by eating the heart of an enemy soldier,’ Paul said. ‘Two Christian bishops have been kidnapped and one priest recently killed.’
  • ‘In Zanzibar, a priest was shot in the head on his way to church by two Muslim youths,’ Paul said. :A message by the Muslim Renewal said, ‘We thank our young men, trained in Somalia, for killing an infidel. Many more will die. We will burn homes and churches. We have not finished: at Easter, be prepared for disaster.’’

Geert Wilders: The Specter Of Islam Is Haunting The Free World

10/08/2013 1 comment

DominateWorldDaniel 7:7, “… and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet …”

By Geert Wilders, No Compulsion – “‘A specter is haunting Europe – the specter of Communism,’ Karl Marx once famously wrote. It took Europe almost a century to liberate itself from this scourge. Today, another specter is haunting not just Europe, but the entire world – the specter of Islam.

The biggest danger confronting the West today is not the economic situation, nor is it youth unemployment, nor the dire budget situation of our governments; the biggest danger is one of which we are reminded on an almost daily basis. And, yet, many politicians seem to fail to notice.

On the last day of September, 50 students of an agricultural college in Nigeria were gunned down in their dormitories by terrorists from the Islamic organization Boko Haram. Earlier in September, terrorists from the Islamic organization al-Shabaab killed at least 67 civilians, and probably many more, in a shopping mall in Nairobi. They separated Muslims from non-Muslims, allowed the Muslims to leave and then tortured, mutilated and killed the non-Muslims. Even children were murdered in the most vicious and cruel way.

In Egypt, every week dozens of Christians are being harassed, kidnapped and assassinated by Islamic thugs from the Muslim Brotherhood. In Syria, Islamic rebels terrorize and murder Christians. In Lebanon and in Iraq, too, indigenous Christian communities whose ties to their native lands are many centuries older than those of the Muslim communities, are victims of ethnic cleansing.

Even in the West, we are not immune to Islamic terror. Europe experienced this last May, when two assassins with meat-cleavers decapitated a soldier in London. America experienced it last April, when Islamic murderers ignited pressure cooker bombs during the Boston Marathon and killed 3 people and injured hundreds.

Like the specter of Communism in the past, the danger of Islam is political. Islam is mainly a political ideology because its aim is political. What the London and Boston killers, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda and other individuals and groups, causing pain and misery all over the globe, have in common is that, inspired by the Koran, they want to impose Islamic sharia law on the whole world.

They share this goal with an organization that is being held in the highest esteem by Western governments: the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The OIC counts 57 member-states and forms the largest voting bloc in the United Nations. In 1990, it superseded the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights with its own Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam. The Cairo Declaration is a document of unabashed Islamic supremacism. It explicitly states that all human rights and freedoms ‘are Read more…

‘All But Totally Ignored’: No One Wants To Admit That There’s A War Being Waged Against Christians

“Even western Christians turn a blind eye to the worst persecution of our times” …

Daniel 12:1b-2, 10, “And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt… Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.”

By John L Allen Jr, CH – “Back in 1997, American author Paul Marshall said that anti-Christian persecution had been ‘all but totally ignored by the world at large’. To be sure, the situation has changed in the 16 years since Marshall’s classic work Their Blood Cries Out. A cluster of advocacy groups and relief organisations has emerged, and from time to time anti-Christian persecution has drawn coverage in major news outlets such as the Economist, Newsweek and Commentary. On the whole, however, the war on Christians remains the world’s best-kept secret. As recently as 2011, Italian journalist Francesca Paci – who writes for the Italian media market, which probably pays more attention to Christian topics than almost any other culture on earth, given the massive footprint of the Vatican – said about the fate of persecuted Christians in places such as Iraq, Algeria, and India: ‘We ignore too many things, and even more indefensibly, we pretend not to see too many things.’

In 2011, the Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, addressed the crisis facing Arab Christianity in the Middle East during a conference in London. He bluntly asked: ‘Does anybody hear our cry? How many atrocities must we endure before somebody, somewhere, comes to our aid?’ Those are questions that deserve answers, and understanding the motives for the silence about the global war on Christians is a good place to begin.

In the secular milieu, several factors intersect to explain the relative indifference toward the global persecution of Christians. First is the basic point that some secularists have little personal experience of religion and can be strikingly ignorant on religious subjects. There’s also a reflexive hostility to institutional religion, especially Christianity, in some sectors of secular opinion. People conditioned by such views are inclined to see Christianity as the agent of repression, not its victim. Say ‘religious persecution,’ and the images that come to mind are the Crusades, the Inquisition, the wars of religion, Bruno and Savonarola, the Salem witch trials – all chapters of history in which Christianity is cast as the villain. For many such folks today, ‘Christianity’ means an all-male gerontocracy in Rome cracking down on progressive American nuns, or intemperate Evangelicals seeking to restrict a woman’s ‘right to choose’ or a gay’s right to marry.

Victims of the global war on Christians challenge this narrative head-on, because they show Christianity not as the oppressor but as the oppressed. By 2012, almost two thirds of the 2.2 billion Christians in the world lived outside of the West, and that share should reach three quarters by mid-century.” Read more.

Flashback: ‘Time Is Running Out’: US Congressman Asks Why Churches In The West Are Silent On Worldwide Christian Persecution – “Congressman Frank Wolf, who has been a champion of human rights, is hard pressed to understand why U.S. churches are silent when it comes to advocating for persecuted Christians. The Republican Virginia rep. specifically called out big-name pastors such as Rick Warren and John Piper for their non-activity, especially at a time when Christians and other religious minorities in Syria and Egypt are at greater risk for persecution.” Read more.
