BBC – “A suspected female suicide bomber has set off explosives on a bus in the southern Russian city of Volgograd, killing at least six people.

Officials believe the woman was from Dagestan in the North Caucasus and was the partner of an Islamist militant.

The blast, which happened just after 14:00 (10:00 GMT), also injured more than 30 people, some of them seriously.

An Islamist insurgency in the North Caucasus region has led to many attacks there in recent years.

The BBC’s Steve Rosenberg in Moscow says the bombing has raised fears that militant groups may be planning to step up attacks in Russia in the run-up to the Winter Olympics in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi next February.

It is believed there were about 40 people on board the bus.

Our correspondent says that all buses in Volgograd have been ordered back to their depots to be searched for any sign of explosives.

One man whose daughter survived the explosion told Moscow Echo radio: ‘It was a powerful explosion – a huge blast. There were lots of students on the bus.’

Another man, who was driving behind the bus, told Rossiya-24 television: ‘There was a blast – a bang – all the glass flew out of the windows. The cloud of smoke quickly dissipated and then I saw people start to fall out and run out to escape the bus. It was a horrible sight.'” Read more.

Al Arabiya – “Boko Haram gunmen dressed in military uniform on Sunday killed 19 people near the Nigerian border with Cameroon in the restive northeast where the Islamists have carried out deadly attacks, residents and a survivor said.

The motorcycle-riding gunmen armed with Kalashnikovs blocked the highway near the town of Logumani, 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the border, shooting and hacking to death 19 motorists and burning three trucks, they said.

‘We have recovered 19 dead bodies from the scene of the attack by Boko Haram gunmen,’ Musa Abur, leader of a civilian vigilante group in the area told AFP.

‘Five of the victims, who included two truck drivers and their assistants, were shot dead while the rest were slaughtered,’ he said.

He said the gunmen had attacked the border town of Gamboru Ngala near Logumani late Friday but were repelled by soldiers and local vigilantes.

A passenger who survived the attack gave a similar account.

‘We were asked to get out of our vehicles and lie face down by nine men dressed as soldiers who blocked the road around 5:00 am,’ the man who gave his name as Buba told AFP.

‘They shot dead five people and went about slaughtering 14 others before someone called them on the phone that soldiers were heading their way,’ he said.

‘They abandoned the rest of us and sped into the bush on their motorcycles,’ added Buba, who was shot in the leg.

He said the attack bore the hallmarks of Boko Haram.

‘We knew they were Boko Haram from their appearance. Soldiers don’t wear beards but some of the gunmen were bearded,’ he said.

‘Everyone in this area knows Boko Haram is on the prowl, raiding villages and attacking vehicles. It has become a common occurrence.'” Read more.

INN – “For at least the second time in five months, Arab residents of Beit Umar in the Palestinian Authority (PA) have placed a Nazi flag over a major thoroughfare where Jews pass in their vehicles.

Beit Umar is located between Halhoul and the Etzion Bloc, not far from Hevron.

Soldiers from the Haruv battalion in Kfir Regiment tried to take down the flag Saturday, but encountered difficulty because it was placed very high up.

A similar event took place at Beit Umar in May, when hundreds of residents of Gush Etzion who drove down Highway 60 were astounded to see an oversized Nazi flag flying next to a mosque in the Arab town.

In a recent key seech, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu quoted numerous historical sources showing that the leader of the Palestinian Arabs in the first half of the 20th century, Mufti Hajj Amin Al-Husseini, was ‘one of the initiators of the Holocaust of the Jews of Europe,’ and that he was constantly encouraging the Nazi leadership to annihilate the Jews, throughout the war. He cited evidence that the Mufti even visited the gas chambers at Auschwitz with Adolf Eichmann.

A known female community leader said that when the local group entered Tent Section 40, an area designated for American, European and Australian Muslims, a pilgrim in the group was asked about his sect, by a member of another group.

‘When he said he was Shi’a, they called him Kafir (infidel) and attacked him,’ said the woman, who did not want her name to be revealed, for safety concerns, until she leaves Saudi Arabia next week.

The attackers, who are Australians of Lebanese descent, then hit three other men in the group and dragged one into a tent, while choking and kicking him.

‘They took him into a woman’s tent and had him in a chokehold. They were choking him out. When our guys got to him, he was blue,’ she said.

The attackers threatened the pilgrims to leave the tent area, while bringing up historic sectarian references.

‘We will kill you Shi’a men and rape your women,’ they shouted, according to the source.

The source said security officers at the tent area were aware of the attack, but stood by and did not do anything to stop it.” Read more.

In the minds of Islamists, by not converting to Islam and instead behaving in ways contrary to the Sharia non-Muslims are essentially telling Mohammed that they don’t believe in “Allah” and the Qur’an. And that is downright insulting to the “prophet” …

Jordan Horner was part of the ‘Muslim Patrol’ which wandered around Tower Hamlets late at night threatening people for drinking beer.

The group said they wanted to ‘kill non-believers’ and said they would stab revellers, as well as uploading YouTube videos in which they criticised non-Muslims for what they were wearing.

Horner, 19, was previously jailed for six weeks after telling photographers gathered outside hate preacher Anjem Choudary’s house that they could end up like murdered soldier Lee Rigby.

In the early house of January 6 this year, Horner and others apparently approached a group of five men walking along the street then snatched cans of beer out of their hands before emptying them into the gutter.
