MyFoxBoston – “Three new suspects have been taken into custody in the Boston Marathon bombings investigation, the Boston Police Dept. tweeted Wednesday morning.

The new suspects are expected to be charged with providing some sort of assistance to the two main suspects, sources told Fox News. It was not immediately known when the suspects were taken into custody.

Boston police said there was no immediate danger to the public and referred further questions to the FBI.

The development comes as investigators have continued to scrutinize two of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s classmates at UMass-Dartmouth.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s alleged associates are natives of Kazakhstan and have already been detained by U.S. immigration officials for alleged immigration violations.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev were in federal immigration court earlier Wednesday morning on those matters, a government source said; however, the court hearing was delayed.

Authorities were not immediately saying who the three detained were or if Tsarnaev’s two classmates were part of the new group of suspects.

An attorney for Kadyrbayev has told media outlets that the two young men have been interviewed by FBI agents and that they were cooperating.

The Saudi warning, the official told MailOnline, was separate from the multiple red flags raised by Russian intelligence in 2011, and was based on human intelligence developed independently in Yemen. Sudan: Christian Persecution Intensifying, Authorities Threaten To Bury Christians Alive During Interrogations

Morning Star News – “Sudan has stepped up its arrests and deportations of Christians, with interrogation including threats to bury them alive, sources said.

Besides the deportation to South Sudan of the secretary general of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference on April 12, other Christians have been targeted in the past several weeks for arrest, interrogation and/or deportation. On April 21, as a South Sudanese church elder was worshiping at a Sunday service in Khartoum, officials from the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) detained him to pump him for information, the elder told Morning Star News.

Authorities questioned him for four hours before releasing him, he said.

‘They told me to reveal to them 12 names of Christians who are active in evangelism in Sudan, but I told them I have no idea,’ said the elder, whose name is withheld for security reasons.

The right to manifest one’s faith is a key provision of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Sudan is a signatory.

NISS officials have required staff members of a university campus-based ministry to report to them weekly following their arrest on Feb. 23; initially they were held and interrogated for a week, one said.

‘The security officers verbally threatened to bury us alive if we did not give information on who was supporting these Christian activities,’ the Christian worker said.

After the Christian workers were released, for two weeks security officials ordered them to report to NISS offices on a daily basis for interrogation about links with Christian organizations, said the worker, whose organization name is withheld for security reasons. NISS officials confiscated the organization’s equipment, vehicle and documents. They also went to the home of organization members and took academic papers, laptops, digital cameras, mobile phones and iPads, among other personal belongings, he said.

Authorities deported three of the group’s workers to South Sudan in March after monitoring their movements and telephone calls, another member told Morning Star News.

‘They gave me only 72 hours to leave the country,’ the Christian worker said. ‘They came to my house while I was away and took five laptops of my sisters, as well as my documents, identity cards, school documents and mobile phone. I thank God that He has been with me during the interrogation with the Security.'” Read more.

The officials said they are moving toward the shipment of arms but emphasized that they are still pursuing political negotiation. To that end, the administration has launched an effort to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin that the probable use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government — and the more direct outside intervention that could provoke — should lead him to reconsider his support of Assad.

But Obama, who spoke by telephone with Putin on Monday and is sending Secretary of State John F. Kerry to Moscow in the coming days, is likely to make a final decision on the supply of arms to the opposition within weeks, before a scheduled meeting with Putin in June, the officials said.

Confirmation that the Assad government has used chemical weapons, Obama said Tuesday, would mean that ‘there are some options that we might not otherwise exercise that we would strongly consider.’…

Mohamed Mamdouh, 22, copped to three crimes under state terror laws on Feb. 28 in exchange for a five year prison sentence, plus three years of post-release supervision.

Prosecutors said Mamdouh and ‘mastermind’ Ahmed Ferhani — busted on May 11, 2011 — discussed dressing as observant Jews to infiltrate synagogues and tried to buy weapons to arm themselves for ‘the cause.’

‘His case has been about bringing to justice two men, angry at what they perceived as the unjust treatment of Muslims in the world, who spoke of their hatred for Jews, and plotted to attack synagogues in New York City using explosives,’ prosecutor Gary Galperin said at Mamdouh’s sentencing.

‘Their intent was to create chaos and to intimidate and coerce Jews living in New York City, and thereby send a message far beyond New York,’ he added.

Ferhani at one point said he wanted to attack 10 synagogues.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Obus pointed to the gravity of the bomb plot at Friday’s sentencing.

‘The conduct contemplated is well beyond what can possibly be tolerated in a civilized society,’ Obus said.

BBC – “Six men from the West Midlands have pleaded guilty to planning to bomb an English Defence League rally.

Omar Mohammed Khan, Mohammed Hasseen, Anzal Hussain, Mohammed Saud, Zohaib Ahmed and Jewel Uddin admitted preparing an act of terrorism. All six will be sentenced on 6 June.

Five of them took a homemade bomb to an EDL rally in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, last June but arrived after it ended.

They were caught after their car was stopped and found to have no insurance.

Police and security services had no intelligence about the planned attack, although one of the would-be killers, Jewel Uddin, was under surveillance in relation to another terror plan.

After the hearing at Woolwich Crown Court, Assistant Chief Constable of West Midlands Police Marcus Beale said: “Their capability was clear.

‘They created devices that would have certainly maimed and possibly killed people depending on how close they were.

‘Their intent was very, very clear. In my view they were very dangerous.’

Pentagon’s Top Brass Crush Career Of Army Officer Who Warned Of Jihadists

By Rowan Scarborough, The Washington Times – “The Pentagon’s top brass has dealt another blow to a decorated Army officer who was fired last year as a war college instructor because of his teachings about radical Islam, his attorney told The Washington Times.

A four-star general’s rejection of Lt. Col. Matthew Dooley for consideration for command of a combat battalion likely means the end of a promising Army career of an armor officer who was decorated for valor in Iraq and received glowing evaluations.

Last year, Col. Dooley underwent an Army command selection board review after he was transferred from the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Va., to a weapons integration unit at Fort Eustis, Va.

The review board, comprising three generals and two colonels, voted to keep Col. Dooley as a candidate for battalion commander, his attorney, Richard Thompson, told The Times.

The board, however, was overruled by Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, then the Army’s vice chief and now chief of U.S. Central Command. He ordered Col. Dooley’s name removed from the candidates list, said Mr. Thompson, who added that he had read the ‘official use only’ memo.

News of Col. Dooley’s setback has emerged as some researchers of radical Islam are criticizing the Obama administration for downplaying the Islamic connection in a string of attempted and successful terrorist attacks, including the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15.

Mr. Thompson, president of the Thomas More Law Center in Michigan, said the blame for Col. Dooley’s treatment ultimately belongs to ArmyGen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Gen. Dempsey publicly condemned Col. Dooley’s teachings and set into motion investigations that resulted in his firing.

‘When he entered West Point, Matt Dooley’s ultimate goal was to one day command a battalion,’ Mr. Thompson said. ‘But after 18 years of hard work, family sacrifice, six deployments and outstanding officer evaluations, Matt’s dream was shattered by Gen. Dempsey.

‘Yet, despite Gen. Dempsey’s personal attacks on LTC Dooley, a command review board consisting of generals and colonels voted to retain LTC Dooley on the list for battalion command. But political correctness once again dominated the Pentagon. Gen. Lloyd Austin, the Army’s Vice Chief of Staff, directed that LTC Dooley’s name be removed from the Command List. Sadly, a principle of leadership — loyalty to the men who are loyal to you — is once again ignored. And violation of that principle in this case not only results in a miscarriage of justice to a loyal and patriotic officer, but deprives our nation of a proven combat commander.’

Sobel, American Thinker – “Slavery is explicitly permitted in the Koran.  Recently Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, a prominent Saudi religious leader called for slavery to be re-legalized throughout the kingdom.  According to the Sheik, a member of the Senior Council of Clerics:  ‘Slavery is a part of Islam.  Slavery is part of jihad, and jihad will remain as long there is Islam.’

In thought and deed this way of thinking is common throughout the Islamic world.  Abu Ishaq al-Huwanini, an Egyptian Cleric proudly proclaims he wishes to apply the ancient Shar’i code of enslaving populations which refuse to pay the jizia (poll tax) or converting to Islam when defeated at the hands of a Muslim nation.  He states:  ‘When I want a sex slave, I go to the market and pick whichever female I desire and buy her’

Why such dastardly remarks and proof of such practices are discounted by those so quick to chastise Israel is perplexing to say the least.  A segment of the Jewish population, particularly on campuses throughout the world, denounces Israel as an apartheid state while ignoring the very real practice of Islamic slavery and the endemic degradation of women which exists to this very day; most egregiously throughout Africa and the Middle East.

Perhaps, unfortunate to say, slavery is almost discounted in the Arab Middle East, and recognition of it in today’s politically correct world is muted at best.  But one would think the widespread Muslim enslavement of native black people throughout Africa would be a cause célèbre amongst the self-proclaimed intelligentsia.  It simply isn’t.

How many people have heard the story of Moulkheir Mint Yarba?  Very few if any I assume.  According to a CNN story written by John D. infant daughter left outside in the searing desert heat to die.  This was done as punishment by her master; a man who had fathered the infant subsequent to raping this woman.  Why such a despicable act?  He told her she would work faster without the child on her back.  What recourse did she have?  The same as the other 10%-20% of slaves that live in Mauritania, none.

Just to the South of Mauritania is another West African nation, Senegal.  Its population is 9.1 million, 80% of whom are Muslims.  Goree Island, lies less than 2 miles off the coast of Senegal, and was one of West Africa’s largest slave trading outposts during the Atlantic Slave Trade.  While slaves no longer flow in and out of the slave houses of Gorée Island, slavery continues to riddle the country.  Senegal is a source, transit, and destination country for modern slaves, according to the U.N. Human Rights Council.

Authorities in Nigeria say as many as 40,000 girls and women have been trafficked to nearby West African countries to serve as sex workers.  Simon Egede an investigator from Nigeria’s National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons found slave camps full of Nigerian women and girls in Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Niger, Libya, and Morocco.  He estimates that there are between 20,000 and 40,000 victims.  What do all these nations have in common?  Political correctness aside, the least common denominator denotes an average of better than 75% of their collective population is Islamic.  These are indisputable facts which are documented and well known to the U.N., the E.U., and in governmental agencies throughout the world.  So once again, where is the outcry on American campuses by professors and students so quick to castigate Israel?  And what has the world body done so far about it?

On November 8, 2012 the U.N. elected genocidal, misogynistic and tyrannical Sudan to its 54-member Economic and Social Council.  Laughingly, this U.N. body regulates human rights groups, oversees U.N. committees on women’s rights, and crafts resolutions from Internet freedom to female genital mutilation.  It gets crazier.

The following month, December 12, the U.N.’s top human rights body marked Human Rights Day by electing Mauritania’s Ambassador as one of 4 Vice Presidents to the Human Rights Council.  At the same time another Vice President elected was the representative from the Maldives, a predominantly Islamic Island in the Indian Ocean just off the east coast of Africa.

In this wonderful country, non-Muslim foreign workers may only practice their faith in private.  Speech deemed ‘contrary to the tenets of Islam’ is restricted; women are flogged for extramarital sex, and homosexual activity is a crime punishable with banishment and flogging.

Dismissing or ignoring the crimes and inhumanities committed by the aforementioned nations, it’s become acceptable for leftist groups on and off campus to demonize, delegitimize, and judge Israel with a double standard, while issuing a free pass to Islamic deprivations such as honor killings, misogyny, slavery, as well as other heinous practices.  Quick to drown out and block appearances by pro-Israeli speakers on campus, their silence is deafening to the crimes committed in the Muslim world.  We’ve all heard of the ‘Apartheid week’ libel spewed against Israel every March.  Has anyone heard of an equivalent ‘anti Slavery week?’  I haven’t.

It is biased behavior is par for the course at the U.N. and almost understandable.  It’s a lot easier for them and the nations which they’re comprised of to use Israel as a punching bag rather than focus their attention on the many Muslim nations where barbaric atrocities are continuously committed and are just a part of daily life.

Sweden: Stockholm Bows Down To Allah, Allows Broadcast Of Islamic Call To Prayer Over Loudspeakers For The First Time Ever

The Swedish city of Malmo surrendered to Muslims, now Stockholm bows down to their god. Placating to an ideology that hates all things non-Islamic will not stem the rising tide of anti-Semitism in Sweden. It will not eliminate attacks against converts to Christianity. It will not bring about a swift end to Islamic cruelty and terrorism and “rape jihad.” It will do nothing but encourage more of this behavior, for the Ummah will not settle with just one mosque broadcasting the Islamic call to prayer. They will not settle for just one city. They will not settle for just one nation. They will not settle until every country and city and mosque in Europe proclaims loud and clear that “there is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his messenger” …

By Cynthia Yacowar-Sweeney, American Thinker – “Calls to summon Muslims to prayer were broadcast over loudspeakers for the first time ever in Sweden this past Friday on April 26th at the Fittja Mosque in the Stockholm municipality of Botkyrka.  The Islamic call to prayer (adhan), resonating from the towering 104-foot (32-meter) minaret, began with the ear-shattering ‘Allahu Akbar’ (Allah is Great) and was followed by the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith: ‘There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’.  Every Friday, people from as far as two kilometers away will be subjected to hear what U.S. President Obama called ‘one of the prettiest sounds on earth’.

This is what Swedes in the Stockholm municipality of Botkyrka will have to get used to, now that the decision rendered by the Botkyrka Municipal Assembly and authorized by the Botkyrka Police to approve the public call to worship, has taken effect.  Whether or not Swedes find it offensive, loud, or disruptive, they have no choice but to listen every Friday to the live three-to-five-minute amplified recitation of the Muslim declaration of faith that calls the people to come together and pray. To pray for what?

Has anyone ever wondered, or taken the time to understand what these prayers, to which Muslims are now being publicly called, are all about?  One of the Friday prayers consists of the seven verses of the opening chapter of the Koran, Al-Fatiha (The Beginning).  This prayer, which is repeated twice during Friday noon prayer, and repeated 17 times a day by religious Muslims, instills distrust of the non-believer by asking Allah to keep Muslims away from the path of the Jews and Christians:

Guide us to the Straight Way, the Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

According to Louis Palme who often writes on Muslim apostate websites, Friday prayers include recitation of two additional Koranic chapters, chapters 62 (Friday) and 63 (Hypocrites).  These chapters encourage hatred of not only Jews and Christians, but also of those who renounce their Muslim faith. Jews are compared to ‘the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them)’ and are told to long for death if they pretend to be friends of Allah.  Non-believers (i.e., Christians, Hindus, Buddhists) are condemned to a state of error until Mohammed purifies them ‘from the filth of disbelief and polytheism’ with his verses.  Hypocrites or apostates ‘are the enemies so beware of them. May Allah curse them!’

The application to demand permission for the amplified call to prayer in Botkyrka was submitted in January 2012 by the President of the Botkyrka Islamic Cultural Association, Ismail Okur.  He convinced the majority of the Botkyrka Municipal Assembly members to concede to his demand after telling Swedish newspaper Dagen that ‘now we want to have religious freedom.’

The Death Of Churches In The Islamic World

By Raymond Ibrahim, Human Events – “Christians throughout the Islamic world are under attack.  Unlike Muslim attacks on Christians, which are regularly confused with a myriad of social factors, the ongoing attacks on Christian churches in the Muslim world are perhaps the most visible expression of Christian persecution under Islam. In churches, Christians throughout the Islamic world are simply being Christians—peacefully and apolitically worshipping their God.  And yet modern day Muslim governments try to prevent them, Muslim mobs attack them, and Muslim jihadis massacre them.

To understand the nature of this perennial hostility, one must first examine Muslim doctrines concerning Christian churches; then look at how these teachings have manifested themselves in reality over the course of centuries; and finally  look at how modern day attacks on Christian churches mirror the attacks of history, often in identical patterns.   The continuity is undeniable.

Because tracing and documenting the treatment of churches across the thousands of miles of formerly Christian lands conquered by Islam is well beyond the purview of this study, a paradigm is needed.  Accordingly, an examination of the treatment of Christian churches in Egypt suffices as a model for understanding the fate of churches under Islamic dominion.   Indeed, as one of the oldest and largest Muslim nations, with one of the oldest and largest Christian populations, Egypt is the ultimate paragon for understanding all aspects of Christianity under Islam, both past and present.

Muslim Doctrine Concerning Churches

Sharia law is draconian if not hostile to Christian worship.  Consider the words of some of Islam’s most authoritative and classic jurists, the same ones revered today by Egypt’s Salafis.  According to Ibn Qayyim author of the multivolume Rules for the Dhimmis, it is ‘obligatory’ to destroy or convert into a mosque ‘every church’ both old and new that exists on lands that were taken by Muslims through force, for they ‘breed corruption.’  Even if Muslims are not sure whether one of ‘these things [churches] is old [pre-conquest] or new, it is better to err on the side of caution, treat it as new, and demolition it.’

Likewise, Ibn Taymiyya confirms that ‘the ulema of the Muslims from all four schools of law—Hanafi, Shafi‘i, Maliki, Hanbali, and others, including al-Thawri, al-Layth, all the way back to the companions and the followers—are all agreed that if the imam destroys every church in lands taken by force, such as Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Syria … this would not be deemed unjust of him,’ adding that, if Christians resist, ‘they forfeit their covenant, their lives, and their possessions.’ Elsewhere he writes, ‘Wherever Muslims live and have mosques, it is impermissible for any sign of infidelity to be present, churches or otherwise.’
