Fox News – “Eight ISIS terrorists wielding AK-47s and wearing suicide belts carried out coordinated attacks at six sites around Paris Friday night, killing at least 127 people and wounding at least 180 others, France’s president said Saturday.

American citizens were among the injured and the U.S. government was working closely with French authorities to identify the victims, the State Department said Saturday morning. During the night, the State Department said it was seeking to establish the whereabouts of 70 U.S. citizens known to be in France, but had not received word that any Americans had been killed in the attacks Friday night.

‘The U.S. Embassy in Paris is working round the clock to assist Americans affected by this tragedy,’ deputy spokesperson Mark Toner said in a statement Saturday.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks and a Syrian passport was found on the body of suicide bomber at the Paris stadium. French authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward. One of the bombers was a young Frenchman previously flagged for links to Islamic extremism, police said. The man was among the attackers who blew himself up after a rampage and hostage-taking in a Paris concert hall, officials said.

Authorities have closed the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and other top tourist sites in Paris until further notice. A Louvre spokeswoman said the museum opened as normal Saturday with enhanced security, but was ordered closed by the Culture Ministry after President Francois Hollande called for a national day of mourning. Isabelle Esnous, a spokeswoman for the Eiffel Tower, said the monument did not open as a security precaution. The Culture Ministry said ‘public cultural sites’ were closed in the Paris region Saturday, without specifying.

Speaking after an emergency security meeting to plan his government’s response, Hollande declared three days of national mourning and raised France’s security to its highest level. He described Friday’s attacks, which produced the worst bloodshed in Paris since World War II, as an ‘act of war.’ Hollande said ISIS was ‘a terrorist army … a jihadist army, against France, against the values that we defend everywhere in the world, against what we are: A free country that means something to the whole planet.’

A cell phone video, taken moments after Muslims received the word that they took over the city council, has surfaced of one of the organizers of the Muslim city council effort saying, ‘Today we show the Polish and everybody else…’ The town has a large but shrinking Polish community.

How ugly. How fast.

They won — are they incapable of being gracious? Don’t answer that. The message is clear: non-Muslims move or else.

Yet when the Muslims gained control of the city council last week, a local reporter, Will Jones, summarized how immigrants had ‘dramatically changed the face and culture of this community,’ and said exultantly, ‘Now, the Hamtramck City Council is going to reflect that diversity.’

What’s diverse about a Muslim majority? Is there anything less diverse and more oppressive than Islamic law? What Muslim countries are diverse? Muslims won’t even let Jews pray at the most holy of Jewish sites. Muslim countries under the sharia subjugate their religious minorities.

City Councilor Micky Garus made the comments in relation to a news article about Hamtramck, Michigan, which recently elected America’s first majority-Muslim city council. The comments were posted on both his personal profile and the ‘Micky Garus for Dallas City Council’ page.

‘Do you feel comfortable having this growing Muslim population in our country, knowing that their ultimate goal is too [sic] cleanse the earth of all nonbelievers?’ Garus wrote. ‘Are we okay allowing them to take over our local, state and eventually federal governments?’

He said that, ultimately, Muslims would try to implement Sharia law in the U.S.

Garus declined requests from the Statesman Journal for a phone interview.

A Lewis & Clark College professor who teaches Islamic studies said Garus’ claims were off target and unrealistic.

‘The idea that they’re trying to take over and put Sharia law in place is just profoundly unrealistic,’ Paul Powers said. ‘It’s not happening anywhere in America.’

He said the majority of Muslims in America see the freedom of religion as a precious value that they would not try to take away from others.

‘There is Muslim terrorism. That’s a real issue,’ Powers said. ‘But conflating that with the fear of Muslims in Detroit is worse than useless. If you want to focus on finding policies or military activities that will confront the Islamic State, that makes sense to me. But being afraid that Muslims who live down the street are trying to take over the country seems really off target.'” Read more.

By Carmine Sabia, BPR – “Authorities rushed to call the stabbing spree at the University of California-Merced non-terror related but new information has cast doubt on that assessment.

Faisal Mohammad, 18, was shot dead by police after stabbing and injuring four people Wednesday and information uncovered in his manifesto showed he created a step-by-step numbered list of what he wanted to do.

‘No. 27 was to ‘make sure people are tied down,’ No. 28 was ‘sit down and praise Allah,” according to what Sheriff Vern Warnke told Fox News. ‘I remember seeing four or five times, scribbled on the side of the two-page manifesto, where he wrote something like ‘praise Allah.”

‘There was a gruesome statement he made about wanting to cut someone’s head off and kill two people with one bullet, and he planned to shoot the police,’ Warnke added.

And despite Warnke’s insistence at the start that the attack was not terror related Merced County News reporter Matthew Gonzales said anonymous law enforcement sources informed him that Mohammad was on a terror watch list and, moreover, that the school was aware of it.

Unfortunately the tragic event at UC Merced illustrates just how our law enforcement leaders have not learned from their past mistakes and may have jeopardized the lives of an entire classroom in doing so. What I am about to tell you has been confirmed by three independent law enforcement officials, all who cannot be named for fear of losing their jobs/pensions. The conversations I have engaged in compel me to believe that we are not being told the truth about the incident at our UC Merced and just who the suspect was.

From the information I have gathered, the suspect was indeed not only on the FBI’s terrorist watch list but he was also on a national watch list and had been one of the topics of discussion at a recent FBI briefing to Merced County law enforcement leaders…

In the two-page document found in Faisal Mohammad’s pocket by the county coroner, the 18-year-old freshman wrote a numeric list outlining his plans of who he wanted to kill, and how, including beheading and shooting his victims, Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke told FoxNews.com

Mohammad’s intended bloodbath began around 8 a.m.,when he burst into his classroom with an 8-inch hunting knife. Police said it would have continued – and possibly claimed lives – if he hadn’t been interrupted by a construction team, and then shot dead by police.

‘There was a gruesome statement he made about wanting to cut someone’s head off and kill two people with one bullet, and he planned to shoot the police,’ Warnke said. ‘He did not have a firearm with him and didn’t seem to have a lot of experience with firearms because he thought he could kill two people with one bullet. He reminded himself in the list to raise the gun slowly. He scripted everything out in chronological order.’

But all law enforcement involved in the investigation, including Warnke, continued to maintain that there is no evidence Mohammed is tied to a terrorist group or was inspired by terrorists.

‘There was nothing to indicate he was doing this because of Allah, or because he was going to be rewarded with 72 virgins, or because of ties to a terror group,’ Warnke said. ‘He appeared to be a devout Muslim, on the strong side of the belief.'” Read more.

Fox News – “As authorities worked to establish a motive for the 18-year-old college freshman who stabbed four people on a California campus Wednesday, more disturbing details emerged about the attacker.

Faisal Mohammad, who was killed by University of California Merced police, was described by at least one witness as smiling as he slashed at victims, called a loner by a fellow dorm resident and drew praise Thursday from a Twitter account associated with ISIS, which just last week released a series of videos calling for lone wolf stabbing attacks.

‘May Allah accept him,’ read a tweet in Arabic from a Twitter account that has previously carried messages purporting to be from ISIS, just minutes after Mohammad’s name was divulged by campus authorities.

Investigators were expected to reveal more information in a news conference later Thursday morning.

‘He had a smile on his face, he was having fun,’ a construction worker who helped stop the attacker told CBS 47.

A suitemate said Mohammad ‘didn’t talk much.’ Speaking to KFSN, Andrew Velasquez said he never saw the stabber walking to class with anyone, adding, ‘Every time I would try and say something he would just ignore it.’

By Barbara Starr, CNN – “The latest U.S. intelligence suggests that the crash of a Russian passenger jet in the Sinai over the weekend was most likely caused by a bomb on the plane planted by ISIS or an ISIS affiliate, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

But the official stressed a formal conclusion has not been reached by the U.S. intelligence community.

‘There is a definite feeling it was an explosive device planted in luggage or somewhere on the plane,’ the official, who is familiar with the latest U.S. intelligence analysis of the crash, told CNN.

Other U.S. officials also told CNN that the analysis is pointing toward the cause being a bomb.

Based on the same intelligence, the U.S. belief is that ISIS or an ISIS-affiliated group is responsible for the attack, the official said.” Read more.

According to Islamic teachings, for example, a “Muslim Jesus” will one day return to earth and destroy all crosses and Christianity. Unsurprisingly, as Islamic fundamentalism metastasizes across the Islamic world, more and more devout followers seem to be jumping at every opportunity to give their “Muslim Jesus” a head start. The attackers smashed wooden statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on the cross during the shocking attack earlier this week.

They stormed the Church of our Lady of Carmen in the Spanish town of Rincon de la Victoria, Andalucia on Monday morning.

Spain’s Civil Guard has now launched a probe into the vandalism.

A spokesman for the Diocese of Malaga said the attack – first discovered by priest Agustin Carrasco – was not representative of all Muslims.

He also said it was committed to maintaining ‘respect and fraternity between different religious groups’.

Last month a Moroccan man was arrested in the same town after allegedly trying to damage another statue of the Virgin Mary.

The 27-year-old repeatedly launched a large rock at a wall protecting the statue.

He is also said to have shouted the Arabic phrase ‘Allahu Akbar’ – meaning ‘God is great’ [ICA: “Allahu Akbar” actually means “Allah is Greater”] – while being led away from the shrine by police.” Read more.

The Christian leaders of the West are so fanatically committed to ‘dialogue’ with Muslim leaders that they ruthlessly ostracize and silence anyone who dares speak about the reasons why Canon Andrew White’s people are being persecuted. White’s own experience with his dinner invitation, however, shows how futile and self-defeating that ‘dialogue’ really is: it hasn’t saved a single Christian from persecution, or changed a single Muslim’s mind about the necessity to persecute Christians. White himself has no illusions: ‘You can’t negotiate with them. I have never said that about another group of people. These are really so different, so extreme, so radical, so evil.’ But if he repeats that in the comfortable and complacent rectories of the West, he is liable to be charged with ‘Islamophobia.’

They were coming for him and his people. Friends were being killed or fleeing for their lives. So Andrew White did what he always does when faced with an enemy. “I invited the leaders of Isis [Islamic State] for dinner. I am a great believer in that. I have asked some of the worst people ever to eat with me.”

This extraordinarily self-confident priest is best known as the vicar of Baghdad, leader of a church in the chaos outside the protected Green Zone. He made his offer last year as the terrorist forces threatened to take the city. Did he get a reply?

“Isis said, ‘You can invite us to dinner, but we’ll chop your head off.’ So I didn’t invite them again!”

And he roars with laughter, despite believing that Islamic State has put a huge price on his head, apparently willing to pay $157m (£100m) to anyone who can kill this harmless-looking eccentric. Canon White was a doctor before he became a priest and could be one still, in his colourful bow-tie and double-breasted blazer with a pocket square spilling silk. But appearances are deceptive.

For the last two decades, he has worked as a mediator in some of the deadliest disputes on Earth, in Israel and Palestine, Iraq and Nigeria. He has sat down to eat with terrorists, extremists, warlords and the sons of Saddam Hussein, with presidents and prime ministers.

White has been shot at and kidnapped, and was once held captive in a room littered with other people’s severed fingers and toes, until he talked his way out of it. He is an Anglican priest but was raised a Pentecostal and has that church’s gift of the gab, even though multiple sclerosis (MS) makes him drawl like a posh barfly. “When I went on Radio 4 talking about Baghdad there were complaints because they thought I was drunk. I wasn’t!”

MS also affects his vision and his balance, but he claims to have come up with his own way of keeping the symptoms down, by injecting his own stem cells. A big man with a boyish enthusiasm, he declares himself afraid of nothing, not even the direct threat to his life.

“They’ve not sent an email telling me it’s off,” says White, 50, chuckling and looking at his travelling companion Terry, a former policeman. How does it feel to have that price on his head? “It feels good.” Terry raises his eyebrows and mutters, “While the head’s attached.”

It’s knockabout stuff, but let’s put this in context. White reopened St George’s church after the invasion of Iraq even though civil war raged and the diplomats and ex-pats who had once made up the congregation no longer dared to go there.

Iraqis came instead, and the congregation reached a peak of 6,500. They built a school, a clinic and food bank. White pledged to stay even as the sound of bombs grew louder. “We had Isis on the doorstep of Baghdad last year. I said to my people, ‘I will not leave you; don’t leave me.’ But many did leave me and they went to Nineveh and Mosul. Isis were there too. There was total mayhem.”

More than 1,200 men, women and children who worshipped with him have been killed in recent years, he says. Four boys he knew were beheaded because they refused to swear allegiance to Islam. The church caretaker was forced to watch as his five-year-old boy was cut in half.

There used to be 1.5 million Christians in Iraq but now there are only 260,000, he says. Some are calling it genocide. Surely he no longer believes that negotiations with Isis could work? White stares at me from behind owlish spectacles. “Can I be honest? You are absolutely right. You can’t negotiate with them. I have never said that about another group of people. These are really so different, so extreme, so radical, so evil.”

So what is to be done? “We must try and continue to keep the door open. We have to show that there is a willingness to engage. There are good Sunni leaders; they are not all evil like Isis.”

But surely there is only one logical conclusion to be drawn? He sighs, and answers slowly. “You are asking me how we can deal radically with Isis. The only answer is to radically destroy them. I don’t think we can do it by dropping bombs. We have got to bring about real change. It is a terrible thing to say as a priest.

“You’re probably thinking, ‘So you’re telling me there should be war?’ Yes!” …
