…It’s not yet clear whether Washington’s purported allies in Syria are completely on board with the U.S. offensive against Islamic State. One of the administration’s favored moderate rebel factions, Harakat Hazm, part of the Free Syrian Army alliance and a recipient of U.S. missiles and training, issued a statement Tuesday denouncing the “external intervention” — that is, the U.S.-led bombing campaign in Syria — as “an attack on the revolution.”

The group said its main goal was toppling Assad. It is demanding “unconditional arming” of the Free Syrian Army, yet its members also acknowledge fighting alongside Al Nusra Front, the official Al Qaeda force in Syria.

Still, the country’s motley bands of fighters labeled as moderates may well be the White House’s best hope for now. It has few other options….

Z News – “The Islamic State (IS) Sunni radical group has opened an outdoor ‘cinema’ to show videos of their brutal crimes and terrorise residents of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, which they have controlled since June.

The macabre spectacle began last week amid the groves and thickets along the banks of the Tigris river, the only place that people have to relax and ease the tensions caused by the IS occupation of Iraq`s second-largest city.

A large number of young people, children and families gathered at the site waiting to see the programme that the extremists would deliver on big screen monitors that had been installed for the purpose.

After the curtains were drawn back, hymns were sung encouraging people to join the Sunni jihad movement and, in particular, IS, which has occupied large swaths of Syrian and Iraqi territory.

Then, viewers were horrified to see scenes of various bloody slayings by IS executioners, including beheadings and murders of hostages and prisoners of war.

The video that shocked most people showed the execution of British journalist David Haines, who was slaughtered by a hooded man with a knife.

‘The bloody scenes my family and I have seen are unbelievable. My little son, four years old, asked me: ‘Dad, why is this man slaughtering that person?’ What I heard from my son left me shocked, I didn’t know how to respond,’ Mohamed Sobhi Jarallah told Efe news agency.

For Jarallah, a 34-year-old resident of Mosul, IS is showing the videos ‘to convince others that beheading, murder and abuse are what awaits those who oppose them’.

‘Their real goal is to terrorise,’ he added.

A spokesman for the IS, Abu Mohamed al-Adnani, called Monday for the indiscriminate murder of citizens of countries that have joined the alliance led by the US to fight the militant group.” Read more.

Flashback: Psychologist: ‘Islam Creates Monsters’ – “Danish psychologist Nicolai Sennels, an expert in working with Muslim youth criminal offenders, has written a new book entitled Among Criminal Muslims. A Psychologist’s Experience from the Copenhagen Municipality, and in an essay supporting the book, he claims that ‘Islam creates monsters.’ A recent study out of Germany supports Sennels’ statement. It found that devout Muslims were more prone to violence than the non-Muslim participants in the study. Sennels says Islam is different from other religions because the way it is taught brainwashes its youth with violent messages. Parents inflict violence on their children repeatedly, Sennels claims, and at the same time, deliver religious ideology. By Kim Willsher, The Guardian – “Algerian jihadis linked to Islamic State (Isis) militants in Iraq and Syria have beheaded a French tourist they have been holding since the weekend.

The group calling itself Jund al-Khilafah – or Soldiers of the Caliphate – released a video showing the beheading of mountain guide Hervé Gourdel, according to the US terrorism watchdog, Site. The video was entitled Message in Blood for the French Government.

Gourdel, 55, from Nice, was abducted on Sunday while on holiday in Algeria. The kidnappers had threatened to kill him within 48 hours unless France halted air strikes on Isis territory.

France planes joined the United States last week in carrying out strikes against Isis positions in Iraq.

As French and Algerian forces raced to find him, the group announced they had beheaded him.

Gourdel was abducted while walking in the mountainous region of Kabylie, near the capital, Algiers.” Read more.

But if people like this are so intent on killing for “Allah” to guarantee themselves a place in “paradise” then why keep them here? We should let every one of them leave. CBC News – “A man was shot dead and two counterterrorism police were stabbed in a confrontation in Australia’s second largest city on Tuesday, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether the violence was related to a recent call from the Islamic State group to supporters to kill in their home countries. But police said the man appeared to be acting alone.

An Australian Federal Police officer and a Victoria state police officer, who were part of a Joint Counter Terrorism Team, had asked the 18-year-old man to come to a police station in southeast Melbourne in relation to a routine matter in an investigation when the violence erupted, Victoria state police Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius said.

The two police officers were stabbed before one of the officers shot the man dead, Cornelius said.

‘Our members had no inkling that this individual posed a threat to them and as far as we were concerned, it was going to be an amicable discussion about that individual’s behaviour,’ Cornelius told reporters.

‘It appears this individual was acting on his own and was not acting in concert with other individuals,’ Cornelius said. ‘It’s our belief at this stage that this is an isolated incident.’

Onlookers said the dead man had been shouting insults about Prime Minister Tony Abbott and the Australian government in general in the moments before he was shot, The Age newspaper reported.

Australian Federal Police Commander Bruce Giles said reports that the deceased man had been flying an Islamic State flag were being investigated.” Read more.

ISIS Caliphate Calls Upon Muslims Around The World To Kill Non-Muslims By Any Means Possible – “In an audio recording distributed widely on social media Sunday, Islamic extremist group ISIS urged attacks on civilians in member countries of the U.S.-led coalition opposed to their violent spread through areas of Syria and Iraq… ‘If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State … kill him in any manner or way however it may be,’ said Adnani.” Read more.

This reflects a 2013 event when a progressive Muslim group in Toronto — a city that is home to hundreds of thousands of Muslims — only managed to draw 24 of them to protest against Islamic terrorism. Allah the Blessed and Exalted said, {The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him Enslave Your Women, By The Permission Of Allah”, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty} [Ghāfir: 5].

And He the Exalted said, {And [remember], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners} [Al-Anfāl: 30].

Ok, to be more specific, de Blasio calls ads exposing the teachings of Islam as “outrageous, inflammatory and wrong.” What is truly outrageous, however, is Islam’s open-ended call to “terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an” (Qur’an Sura 8:12). What is inflammatory is the timeless decree that “the most intense of the people in animosity toward the [Muslim] believers to be the Jews” (Qur’an Sura 5:82). What is just plain wrong is the eternal edict to “cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve” (Qur’an Sura 3:151). But, according to New York City’s back-bending mayor, exposing such vile hatred is somehow itself hateful. Because in de Blasio’s world, truth need not apply when it comes to the religion of lies and its ballot-casting adherents …

One of the ads, which will appear on 100 buses and at two subway entrances, includes an image of American journalist James Foley just before he was beheaded.

In a statement to the Daily News, de Blasio said the ads had ‘no place in New York City, or anywhere.’

‘These hateful messages serve only to divide and stigmatize when we should be coming together as one city,’ de Blasio said.

‘While those behind these ads only display their irresponsible intolerance, the rest of us who may be forced to view them can take comfort in the knowledge that we share a better, loftier and nobler view of humanity.’

Controversial conservative blogger Pamela Geller is bankrolling the ad blitz, at a cost of $100,000. In an interview, she called it an ‘education campaign” to highlight the dangers of jihadist ideology.'” Read more.

Daily Sabah – “Three hundred Iraqi soldiers died in a chlorine gas attack carried out by the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) in the Iraqi city of Fallujah, said Ali al-Budairi, an Iraqi MP from the Shia-dominated National Iraqi alliance in the Iraqi Parliament on Monday.

It is unclear when the attacks took place. ISIS’s use of chlorine gas in attacks isn’t new. There are reports that the ISIS militants used chlorine-war gas before.

Speaking at a press conference in the Iraqi Parliament on Monday, Ali al-Budairi said: ‘ISIS killed 300 out of 400 soldiers they besieged in Saqlawiya district of northern Fallujah, using chlorine gas.’

Al-Budairi held Anbar’s operations chief Rashid Falih and new Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi responsible for failing to immediately send army backup to the district.

ISIS, which already controls parts of Syria, has extended its reach into Iraq since June 10.

Violence conducted by the ISIS militants has claimed more than 1,400 lives in Iraq, and caused 1.2 million Iraqis, including Turkmens, Arabs, Christians and Ezidis, to flee their homes.” Source – Daily Sabah.
