By BosNewsLife – “Minority Christians in Syria and neighboring Iraq faced more upheaval Monday, July 7, after an Islamic group expelled tens of thousands of residents from their homes and crucified at least nine people.

The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) reportedly forced some 30,000 people to leave their houses in the eastern Syrian town of Shuheil. Many fear their homes will be looted, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a respected monitoring group.

The ISIL, which declared the territory in Syria and Iraq a ‘caliphate,’ or Islamic state, also nailed nine men to a cross in Syria’s Aleppo province last week as punishment for rebellion, several sources said.

Usually the men ISIL crucifies are shot in the head first, then hung for public viewing with their arms tied to a horizontal beam, according to observers familiar with the situation.

However one of the nine men was ‘crucified alive for eight hours’ in the town of al-Bab, said the Syrian Observatory. The report didn’t specify if the man was killed.

It was unclear whether Syrian troops, who apparently advanced in and around the northern city of Aleppo on Monday, July 7, would be able to halt the ISIL fighters. Yet, most Christians have already been forced to flee Syria and Iraq, where the head of the Chaldean-Catholic Church, Patriarch Louis Raphael I Sako, fears Christian life will eventually come to an end in the region.

‘In ten years there will perhaps be 50,000 Christians left’ in Iraq, he said in a statement released by Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need and obtained by BosNewsLife. ‘Prior to 2003, this figure was about 1.2 million. Within ten years we have shrunk to a community of perhaps four to five hundred thousand faithful,’ he added.

‘When I was in Turkey recently ten Christian families from Mosul arrived. And in the space of only one week twenty families left Alqosh, a completely Christian town not far from Mosul. This is very serious, we are losing our community.'” Read more.

AINA News – “The water purification plants in Mosul supply water for the city and surrounding areas. After taking control of Mosul on June 10, ISIS severely limited the water supply from al-Rashidiya and al-Slamiya water projects, which provide the Northern and Southern Nineveh Plain with potable water (AINA 2014-06-27, 2014-06-18). According to a report by the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, ISIS is allowing only about 90 minutes of pumping per day.

The Assyrian towns of Baghdede, Karemlis, Bartella, Tel Kepe, Batnaya and Bashiqah — home to nearly 200,000 Assyrians — face severe water shortages.

Residents have begun digging wells to secure water, but are limited by a lack of funding.

The towns of Baghdede, Karemlis and Bartella, with a population of 70,000 Assyrians, require more than 20 Artesian wells to supply the water needs of the residents. Each well typically costs about $30,000 to install, with operating crews and generators. $600,000 is required to install these wells.

Donations have come forth. The Christian Endowment will finance 4 wells; the Consulate of The United Arab Emirates has pledged money for 4 wells.

The Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, an NGO based in Baghdad, has stated that it is prepared to begin installing wells pending funding.

If water shortage crisis is not resolved soon, Assyrians will be forced to abandon their homes and villages and move to areas where they can find water.” Source – AINA News.

‘Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade Vows to Silence Church Bells in Bekaa,’ Naharnet, July 2, 2014 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

The vague group known as the Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade vowed to task gunmen to attack churches in Lebanon and in the eastern Bekaa valley in particular.

The Brigade announced on its twitter account that a “specialized group of free jihadists were tasked with cleansing the Islamic state of Bekaa in particular and in Lebanon in general from the churches.”

“We will target crusaders in the state and in Lebanon to silence the ringing of the bells,” the group said.

The Brigade recently pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, previously known as the Islamic State of the Iraq and the Levant.

The Islamic State declared over the weekend the establishment of the “Islamic caliphate” led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, ordering ordered Muslims worldwide to pledge allegiance to their chief, in a spectacular bid to extend their authority.

A “caliphate” is an Islamic form of government last seen under the Ottoman Empire.

The mysterious Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade had in the past claimed that it is an affiliate of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, but the ISIL later denied that.

On March 16, the Brigade engaged in a war of words with the al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, believed to be a local franchise of the Syria-based, Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front.

The dispute erupted after both groups claimed responsibility on Twitter for a deadly suicide bombing that rocked the Bekaa town of al-Nabi Othman.

The Brigade has claimed responsibility for several rocket and bomb attacks inside Lebanon, the last of which were the suicide blasts in Dahr al-Baydar and Raouche’s Duroy Hotel.

Colorado: Young Woman Converts To Islam, Develops Newfound Hatred Of Christians And Desire To Kill For “Allah”

By Alan Gathright, ABC 7News Denver – “The FBI says a 19-year-old Colorado woman has been arrested while trying to board a flight at Denver International Airport with the goal of meeting with a terrorist group called the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS.

A federal criminal complaint states that between Sept. 7, 2013 and April 8, 2014, Shannon Maureen Conley, together with others, tried to provide material support and resources, including personnel and expert advice, to a foreign terrorist organization.

ISIS insurgents have been fighting to topple the governments of Iraq and Syria.

Authorities began investigating Conley on Nov. 5, 2013, when the pastor at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada called local police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to report a teen had been spotted suspiciously taking notes at the church’s main campus at 6120 Ward Road on several Sundays at October, according to a federal affidavit supporting the criminal complaint.

Church officials have a heightened awareness about security because Faith Bible Chapel was the scene of a shooting in December 2007 when a man named Matthew Murray opened fire at the church’s Youth with a Mission Training Center, killing two missionaries. A few hours later, Murray went on a shooting spree at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, killing two more people. He was shot by a church security guard and eventually took his own life.

So Faith Bible Chapel staff reacted quickly when they believed Conley was taking notes on various locations and the layout of the campus, the affidavit said.

Church staff approached Conley and asked to see her notes, but she refused.

Conley then became confrontational with FBC staff, citing her own Islamic religious views, church officials told federal investigators…

Conley said, ‘I hate those people.’ …

Conley told the investigators she does not like Israel or FBC’s active and vocal support for Israel.

Conley said she noticed she was being followed by church staff on the campus and felt they treated her like a terrorist. Conley told the investigators that she reasoned that, ‘If they think I’m a terrorist, I’ll give them something to think I am,’ according to the affidavit.

She started keeping a notebook and acted like she was diagramming the church to alarm them. Conley soon got into an argument with the pastor and was asked to leave.

Conley said that Jihad to her is war against ‘kafir’ (which the affidavit describes as a derogatory Arabic term for non-Muslims) to protect Muslim lands.” Read more.

By Joe David, INN – “Call the enemy what you like – radicals, fundamentalists, Islamic terrorists, jihadists, or, historically, just plain Muslims. Connect the dots to their past activities, and you will uncover a disturbing pattern: a fanatical commitment to eliminating infidels.

Some of you may recall the American Embassy bombings (in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and in Nairobi, Kenya), and the brutal killings of innocent Westerners (Wall Street Journal Reporter Daniel Pearl, Businessman Nick Berg, and American Helicopter Engineer Paul Johnson). For those who don’t here are a few highlights from the past you may recall, which should help connect the dots.

  • The murder of Robert Kennedy by a Palestinian national, Sirhan Sirhan (1968);
  • The eleven Israeli athletes murdered during the Munich olympic games by Palestinians (1972);
  • The Beirut barracks’ massacre led by Hezbollah that killed several hundred military members (1983);
  • The Lockerbie, Scotland, bombing of a Pan American flight by Libyan terrorists, which killed 271 victims (1988);
  • The September 11th coordinated attack of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by al-Qaeda, which resulted in about 3,000 deaths and $10 billion in property damages (2001);
  • The shooting of 13 soldiers and the injuring of about 30 others at Fort Hood military base by a psychiatrist, shouting Allahu Akbar! (Allah is great) (2009);
  • The savage murder of the U.S. Ambassador and several others in Benghazi, Libya by jihadists (2012);
  • The Boston Marathon bombings, planned by two Chechen brothers, which killed 3 and injured 260 (2013);
  • And the kidnapping of about 230 Nigerian school girls by the Islamic terrorists, Boko Haram (2014).

History is replete with many more examples. Open your history books, the ones which haven’t been rewritten by revisionists, and this is what you will uncover:

  • In 622 AD, Mohamed, a camel driver, saw the light. It was revealed to him through the divine voice of Gabriel while he was in a religious trance, worshipping in a cave.  From 622 AD until his death in 632 AD, Mohamed followed this light and inspired others to do the same. During the subsequent wars, designed to expand Mohamed’s control in the Arabian Peninsula, he and his followers slaughtered non-believers, kidnapped women and children, and stole their land and gold.
  • After his death, his followers continued in his footsteps. Through war, they spread Islam beyond the borders of the Arabian Peninsula into India, North Africa, and even Spain.
  • In 732 AD, Charles Martel halted Muslim advances into Europe during the Battle of Tours, France. This defeat in Europe, though, didn’t end Islamic expansion; the Muslims continued to crush the infidels in other areas of the world, taking advantage of every opportunity available to them to murder and enslave.

Nigeria: Dozens Of Christians Killed After Muslims Torch Multiple Churches, Spray Worshippers With Gunfire

Associated Press – “Suspected Islamic extremists sprayed gunfire at worshippers and torched four churches Sunday in a village just miles from the town where more than 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped, witnesses said.

At least 30 bodies have been recovered but more are turning up in the bushes, where people tried to escape from Kwada village, said a member of a vigilante group that has had some successes in repelling attacks.

‘They killed dozens of people and burned houses after attacking worshippers,’ survivor Mallam Yahi told The Associated Press by telephone from Chibok town, to which he escaped.

Some of the church buildings destroyed included the Protestant Church of Christ in Nigeria, the Pentecostal Deeper Life Bible Church and Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa, which is Hausa for Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, Yahi said. The last was started by American missionaries from Illinois in the 1920s.

Yahi said the attackers went on to neighboring Kautikari, where they gunned down villagers and burned down homes. The vigilante said they had not yet reached Kautikari so did not know what the death toll was there.

Police spokesman Gideon Jubrin said he could not confirm the attack because bad communications have kept officials from reaching the nearest security post at Chibok, though Associated Press reporters were able to make cell phone calls to the town. Chibok is the town in northeast Borno state from which more than 200 girls were abducted in April. Officials say 219 girls remain captive. Kwada is six miles and Kautikari four miles away.

Angry Chibok residents said soldiers were slow to respond to news of the attack, and the vigilantes said that once they reached Kwada, the soldiers refused to confront the extremists directly, only shooting at them from a distance outside the village. They spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals from the military.

Boko Haram extremists attacked a military camp in the neighboring local government area of Damboa last week and killed at least 51 soldiers.” Read more.

By Abul Taher and Nic North, Mail Online – “A radical hate preacher linked to the ‘brainwashing’ of three Welsh young jihadis fighting in Iraq and Syria has outlined his chilling vision of a Nazi-style, Islamic state in Britain on video, describing how non-Muslims will be forced to shave their heads and wear a red sash, in a land where the ringing of church bells is banned.

Abu Waleed, 35, a leading preacher for a group banned last week for incitement to terrorism, was seen earlier this month at a barbecue in the Welsh capital where the banner of the Isis terror group – the Al Qaeda splinter group which the trio are fighting for – was flying.

According to friends, former students Reyaad Khan, Nasser Muthana, both 20, and Muthana’s 17-year-old brother Aseel were seen handing out leaflets for a group closely linked to Waleed outside a Cardiff mosque seven months ago. Khan and Nasser appeared on an  Isis recruitment video  this month.

Jobless Waleed – whose real name is Shahid Janjua – lives in a council house in Hounslow, West London, and claims benefits for himself, his wife and three disabled children.

His group Need4khilafah, whose leader is Anjem Choudary, the firebrand who once led the Al-Muhajiroun group – banned after the deadly July 7 terror attacks in London in 2005 – dreams of the flag of Islam flying over Big Ben.

In the films, he calls for the Queen to wear a burka and brands the Duchess of Cambridge ‘a whore’.

The videos were recovered by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), an American anti-extremism monitoring group…

He tells the male audience: ‘What is the nightmare on Downing Street? The nightmare on Downing Street, my dear brothers, is when the door of 10 Downing Street is kicked down by one muwahid [Muslim], and the Caliph [Islamic ruler] he walks in, and establishes the sharia.

‘The nightmare on Downing Street, my dear brothers, is when one muwahid pulls a rope, and he raises the banner of “there is no god but Allah” above Big Ben.

The nightmare on Downing Street is when one muwahid flies a helicopter all the way to the top of Big Ben, and he removes those numbers and he replaces them with Arabic numbers.

Iraq: 50,000 Christians Forced To Flee Muslim Violence In Northern City Of Qaraqosh

AINA News – “Nearly all of the population of Qaraqosh, 50,000 Assyrians, has fled the city amid fighting between ISIS and Kurds. Syrian Catholic Archbishop Mar Youhana Boutros Moshe attempted to negotiate with ISIS and the Kurds to convince them to leave the city, but the negotiations failed. ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ (Sunnis) are set to storm the city.

According to Bishop Yousif Habash of the Syriac Orthodox Church in New Jersey, Qaraqosh (also known as Baghdede) is now almost completely abandoned. A source reporting from Qaraqosh told AINA the population has fled to Arbel, Dohuk, Alqosh, Tel Kepe, Telsqop and Ankawa. Monasteries and churches are filled with displaced Christian refugees from Baghdede. There is an urgent need for food, water, medical aid and blankets.

Kurdish forces and ISIS pounded each other with mortars. The Kurds have positioned themselves on the east side of Qaraqosh, ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ have stationed themselves on the west and south side, near the villages of Tawajna and Qurtaba-Arab and south of Balawat.

ISIS has given the Kurdish forces an ultimatum to leave by 7 P.M. else face an attack.

The city is known by three names: Baghdede in Assyrian, Hamdaniya in Arabic and Qaraqosh in Turkish.” Source – AINA.

Malaysiakini – “A Perkasa leader has threatened to ‘chop the heads off’ those who ‘ridicule’ Islam and the Selangor sultan.

In a fiery speech, Perkasa information chief Ruslan Kassim (right) told those attending a rally in front of the Selangor palace for such ‘parasites’ to ‘get lost’.

‘If they continue to ridicule the religion and the sultan, we will chop off their heads.

‘It is better they get lost, better they die, better they don’t live in this country than be a disease, a virus and a parasite on our religion, race and country,’ he said.

Ruslan was speaking at the rally to show thanks to Sultan Sharafudin Idris Shah for ‘defending the sanctity of Islam’ and the actions of the Selangor Islamic authorities.

This is in relation to the Selangor Islamic Affairs Council’s (Mais) refusal to return the 321 copies of the Bible seized by the Selangor Islamic Affairs Department (Jais) from Bible Society Malaysia (BSM).

Sudan Releases Christian Woman Sentenced To Death For Leaving Islam, Then Re-Arrests Her At Airport Along With Entire Family

ICC – “International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that Meriam Yahia Ibrahim, her husband, Daniel Wani, and two children were arrested at a Khartoum airport earlier this morning. The arrest follows Ibrahim’s court-ordered release from prison and acquittal of charges of adultery and apostasy just yesterday.

Ibrahim, a 27-year-old mother of two and wife of a United States (U.S.) citizen, was sentenced to death for her Christian faith on May 15 by the El Haj Yousif Public Order Court in Khartoum. Ibrahim’s case was filed with the Khartoum Court of Appeals on May 22, which ordered her full acquittal and immediate release from the Omdurman Federal Women’s Prison, where she and her two children, 22-month-old, Martin, and 4-week-old, Maya, had been held for 126 days.

In speaking with a member of Ibrahim’s legal defense this morning, ICC learned that Meriam, Daniel, and their two children were arrested for ‘national security concerns’ by members of the Sudanese military.

According to that same defense lawyer, the Ibrahims were, at the time of this release, being held at a ‘National Security Office.’ In speaking with ICC, Ibrahim’s defense expressed great concern over the situation, repeatedly stating that ‘no one can do anything.’ The defense explained that no legal mechanism exists by which to intervene on the Ibrahims’ behalf. Some ICC sources also reported that the Ibrahims’ legal defense have been threatened with arrest by Sudanese authorities.

Though the Ibrahims’ legal defense did not confirm the destination the Ibrahims were scheduled to fly to, the BBC has reported that Daniel stated his intention Monday to ‘leave for the US.’ Unconfirmed reports, however, have speculated that the family was on its way to South Sudan, Daniel’s home country.

ICC’s Regional Manager for Africa, Cameron Thomas, said, ‘We are deeply concerned by Meriam, Daniel, Martin and Maya’s arrest this morning at the hands of military personnel. The implication that an educated mother, debilitated father, toddler and infant pose a national security concern is absolutely absurd. Just yesterday, a Sudanese court not only released Meriam and her children, but acquitted her of all charges, dropped all imposed sentences and recognized as legal her marriage to Daniel, which had previously been annulled by a lower court. For the Sudanese State to violate not only its interim constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the African Charter for Human and People’s Rights and now a decision by one of the highest courts in its allegedly independent judiciary is inexcusable. In arresting Meriam and her family this morning, the al-Bashir Regime has once again confirmed its commitment to the violation, not the protection, of human rights and religious freedom, and the international community must respond immediately.'” Source – Persecution.org.

According to Islam, the religiously-sanctioned extortion tax imposed upon Christians — called “jizya” — will one day come to an end, but it will not be abolished because Islam will suddenly have a change of heart and grant Christians equal status amongst Muslims. It will be abolished because at that time all Christians who refuse to convert to Islam will then be slaughtered for the glory of the magnificent and merciful “Allah.” After all, how can Muslims impose their “tax” upon Christians when the Islamic version of “Jesus” sees to it that no Christians are left to impose it upon? …

Hadith, AbuHurayrah Book 37, Number 4310, “Jesus … will descent (to the earth)… He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam.”

AINA – “The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has begun to brutally enforce Islamic laws (AINA 2014-06-14) in Mosul, Iraq, which it overran on June 10.

Dr. Sallama Al Khafaji, a member of the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights, told AINA that on Saturday, June 21 ISIS began demanding a poll tax (jizya) from Christians in Mosul (AINA 2014-06-21). In one instance, ISIS members entered the home of an Assyrian family in Mosul and demanded the poll tax (jizya). When the Assyrian family said they did not have the money, three ISIS members raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband and father. The husband and father was so traumatized that he committed suicide.

‘The Christians have told me that they cannot pay this tax,’ said Dr. Al-Khafaji, ‘and they say ‘what am I to do, shall I kill myself?’

According to the Arabic language website Alghadeer, four Christian women were shot and killed by ISIS members because they were not wearing veils. AINA has not confirmed this and this website is known to be administered by Shiites.” Source – AINA.

Convert Or Face The Sword: ISIS Forcing Sharia Law Upon Iraqi Christians

ISIS, moreover, has ‘launched a reign of terror against Shiites and Christians that has included beheadings and at least three crucifixions.’ That, too, is from the Qur’an: ‘When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks (47:4); and ‘Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.’ (5:33)

That was the stark message Christians in the Syrian city of Raqqa received last year when ultra-fundamentalist Sunni extremists, proclaiming themselves to be members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), seized power and launched a reign of terror against Shiites and Christians that has included beheadings and at least three crucifixions.
