Report: Terrorism Hits Record High In 2012, Deaths Up 89% From Prior Year, 2013 Set To Hit New Record

10/29/2013 2 comments

Witness Islam’s “proud tradition of tolerance” where devout Muslims can’t even seem to tolerate one another, let alone Jews and Christians or anyone else. The hard reality for many willingly ignorant leftists and Sharia sympathizers to accept is the fact that this rise in global terror is being perpetrated almost exclusively by Muslims. Unfortunately, this is one inconvenient fact that the second half of the article attempts to quickly whitewash by cautioning against “viewing Islam itself as inherently violent” — even though it demonstrably is. When the stone-cold reality of violent Islamism cold-clocks the liberal mind in the face it’s still only “racist Islamophobes” who have the gall to claim that Islam has something to do with Islamic terrorism …

Hadith, Bukhari 2977, “I have been made victorious with terror” – The “Prophet” Of Islam, Mohammed

Hadith, Sahih Muslim 1:33a, “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish [Islamic] prayer …” (The Shahada)

Qur’an Sura 33:21, “Indeed in Allah’s Messenger (Mohammad) you have an excellent example to follow for him who hopes in (meeting with) Allah and the Last Day …”

Coexistence: It's orbidden in Islam

Coexistence: It’s forbidden in Islam

By Daniel Burke, CNN – “As terrorism increasingly becomes a tactic of warfare, the number of attacks and fatalities soared to a record high in 2012, according to a new report obtained exclusively by CNN.

More than 8,500 terrorist attacks killed nearly 15,500 people last year as violence tore through Africa, Asia and the Middle East, according to the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.

That’s a 69% rise in attacks and an 89% jump in fatalities from 2011, said START, one of the world’s leading terrorism-trackers.

Six of the seven most deadly groups are affiliated with al Qaeda, according to START, and most of the violence was committed in Muslim-majority countries.

The previous record for attacks was set in 2011 with more than 5,000 incidents; for fatalities the previous high was 2007 with more than 12,800 deaths.

Headquartered at the University of Maryland, START maintains the Global Terrorism Database, the most comprehensive source of unclassified information about terrorist attacks, with statistics dating to 1970.

START, one of 12 Centers for Excellence funded by the Department of Homeland Security, plans to release its full database in December but shared its early findings after a request by CNN.

This year is expected to outpace even 2012’s record high. There were 5,100 attacks in the first six months of 2013, said Gary LaFree, START’s director, and the wave of violence shows few signs of ebbing.

In recent weeks, Al-Shabaab, a militant group based in Somalia, attacked a mall in Nairobi, Kenya, leaving 67 dead; suicide bombers killed 81 at a church in Pakistan; and the Taliban took credit for killing two police officers with a car bomb in Afghanistan.” Read more.

Flashback: CNN Runs Feature On ‘World’s 10 Most Dangerous Terrorists’ — And They’re All Muslims – “Will Hamas-linked CAIR denounce the network as ‘Islamophobic’ and include a defamatory description of it in its next ‘Islamophobia’ report? Will there be demands to stop reporting on the most wanted terrorists because doing so is ‘demeaning’ to Muslims? Probably none of that will happen, because CNN has a generally reliable Leftist bias that includes sympathy to jihad and Islamic supremacism.” Read more.

Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And ‘The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse’ – “After a relative lull, Islamic persecution has literally exploded once again in the aftermath of 9/11 and the rise of the Arab Spring. The Prophet Daniel writes that this final Beast would be ‘dreadful and terrifying’ and would ‘speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One’ and ‘intend to make alterations in times and in law’ (Daniel 7:7, 25). While the Muslim world seeks to rewrite history in a deceptive effort to buttress its own religious and political declarations and continually seeks to impose Sharia Law whenever and wherever it can, Iran prepares for a nuclear Armageddon and threatens to turn Jerusalem into a mass graveyard, calling for the death of all Jews worldwide and the annihilation of the state of Israel. Hamas and Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood seek to join the fray. In Egypt, Christians are experiencing the worst persecution seen from Islamists in hundreds of years, with many now unable to buy or sell…” Read more.

Syrian Rebels’ Other Ultimatum To Christians: ‘Convert To Islam Or You Will Be Crucified’

Just like beheading, crucifixion is allowed under Sharia lawlessness as well. For peaceful purposes …

Revelation 13:15, “The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.”

The Washington Post – “Sami Amir is used to the deep echoing rumble of the Syrian army artillery pounding rebel positions on the outskirts of Damascus. It’s the thump of mortars launched from an Islamist-controlled neighborhood that scares him to death.

The mortars have repeatedly hit in his mainly Christian district of Damascus, al-Qassaa, reportedly killing at least 32 people and injuring dozens of others the past two weeks.

‘You don’t know when and you don’t know where they hit,’ says Amir, a 55-year-old Christian merchant. ‘Life here is often too difficult.’

Rebel shelling into the capital has increasingly hit several majority-Christian districts, particularly al-Qassaa, with its wide avenues, middle class apartment blocks, leafy parks, popular restaurants and shopping streets busy with pedestrians.

The shelling and recent rebel assaults on predominantly Christian towns have fueled fears among Syria’s religious minorities about the growing role of Islamic extremists and foreign fighters among the rebels fighting against President Bashar Assad’s rule. Christians believe they are being targeted — in part because of the anti-Christian sentiment among extremists and in part as punishment for what is seen as their support for Assad.

Though some Christians oppose Assad’s brutal crackdown on the opposition and the community has tried to stay on the sidelines in the civil war, the rebellion’s increasingly outspoken Islamist rhetoric and the prominent role of Islamic extremist fighters have pushed them toward support of the government. Christians make up about 10 percent of Syria’s 23 million people.

‘When you bring a Christian and make him choose between Assad and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, the answer is clear,’ said Hilal Khashan, a political scientist professor at the American University of Beirut, referring to the al-Qaida branch fighting alongside the rebels. ‘It doesn’t need much thinking.’

The rebels have targeted other Syrian minorities, particularly Alawites, the Shiite offshoot sect to which Assad belongs and which is his main support base. Altogether, ethnic and religious minorities — also including Kurds and Druze — make up a quarter of Syria’s population. The majority, and most rebels, are Sunni Muslim.

But Christian areas have recently been the focus of fighting…

Youssef Naame and his wife Norma, an elderly Christian couple from Maaloula, described how bearded extremist Islamists stormed the northeastern village early last month chanting ‘God is Great!’

‘The jihadis shouted: Convert to Islam, or you will be crucified like Jesus,’ Youssef said with a shaky voice in his daughter’s al-Qassaa apartment.” Read more.

‘A Sign Of Things To Come’: Eritrean Government Arrests 150 Christians Found Praying Together

Hebrews 13:3, “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”

Acts 14:22, “… continue in the faith … we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

Asmarino Independent – “Release Eritrea, a UK based charity, has learnt that Eritrean security forces, raided a prayer meeting and arrested 150 Christians found praying together in Maitemenai, a suburb to the north of Asmara. It is thought that the believers had gathered to pray about the escalating refugee crisis and the trouble in the country that has been of concern to many Eritreans in recent days.

The gathering is said to have been under the auspices of an underground fellowship known locally as ‘Hiyaw Amlak’ (Living God). The fellowship is part of a wide network of underground fellowships that have been in operation throughout the country since 2002, when the Eritrean government shut all churches not belonging to the officially sanctioned religious groups.

Although no details of the whereabouts of all the prisoners have been disclosed officially, friends and families of the detained believe at least some of them are held at the 4th Police Station near an area known as Edaga Hamus in the adjoining district, from where the raid and arrests occurred.

The arrest has alarmed underground church leaders, who fear that this may be a sign of things to come.” Source – Asmarino Independent.

Anti-Christian Terror Continues To Grow Throughout The Middle East And South Asia

1 Peter 4:12-13, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you … but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”

Matthew 24:29-31, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days … they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect …”

Colossians 3:12-13, “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another …”

By Steven B. Nasatir, The Washington Post – “The persecution of any religious minority anywhere by anyone is an evil injustice. It requires all persons of conscience to speak out and, when possible, take action.

The upcoming 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht makes this an auspicious time to raise awareness about the contemporary violence targeting religious minorities and their places of worship. Of particular concern are attacks against Christian minorities that have occurred with alarming frequency from Syria to Egypt, from Iraq to Pakistan, and from Kenya to Sudan.

November 9 marks 75 years since the pogrom against Jews committed by mobs throughout the Nazi Reich. Often called Kristallnacht, or the ‘Night of Broken Glass,’ when rioters killed or injured hundreds of Jews; burned over 1,000 synagogues; destroyed 7,000 Jewish-owned shops and businesses; vandalized cemeteries and schools, and; sent 30,000 Jews to German concentration camps. It marked a turning point in the escalating campaign of persecution culminating in the Holocaust.

These events, seared into Jewish collective memory, make us doubly aware—and duty bound—to raise our voices when the deadly brew of religious bigotry and wanton violence are mixed.

Today in Syria, a once thriving Christian population—a community nearly as ancient as that country’s once great Jewish community—has been depopulated by 25 percent, according an estimate the Patriarch Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch Gregorios III Laham shared with the BBC.

In September, The Associated Press reported that Syrian Christians in Maaloula—a community dating to the birth of Christianity and that still speaks Aramaic—were driven out or forcibly converted to Islam by rebels aligned with al-Qaeda.

‘It is chaos, it is violence, it is blood, it is death. Life has been paralyzed. We have lost everything,’ said Archbishop Theophile Georges Kassab of Homs.

In Egypt, some supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi last summer unleashed their rage against that nation’s Christians, a historic community constituting 20 percent of the country’s population. Mobs burned dozens of Christian schools, convents, monasteries, institutions, and churches of any, and all Christian denominations. And just days ago, gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire outside a Coptic Christian church during a wedding, murdering four, including an 8-year-old girl.

‘It never happened before in history that such a big number of churches were attacked on one day,’ Bishop Thomas, a Coptic Orthodox bishop in Assiut told Al Jazeera.” Read more.

Pakistani Police Hunting Down Christian Who Dared To Correct Islamic Misconceptions About Christianity

10/25/2013 9 comments

It is a proven fact that the “prophet” of Islam didn’t understand the basics of Christianity. But trying to explain something like that to those who believe Mohammed to be anything but the most “perfect man” to ever walk the face of the earth will at times be a little like fire-juggling in a house of highly flammable cards …

Qur’an Sura 33:57, 61, “Lo! those who malign Allah and His messenger, Allah hath cursed them in this world and the Hereafter, and hath prepared for them the doom of the disdained … Accursed, they will be seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter.”

Not Too Bright After All: Mohammed Engulfed In “Sacred Fire”

Morning Star News – “Police and a banned Islamic extremist group in Lahore, Pakistan are searching for a young Christian accused of blasphemy – with the extremist group calling for his death – after he sought to correct misconceptions about Christianity in a Muslim book, sources said.

Sources close to Adnan Masih, 26, said he believes that if he turns himself in, he will be killed by either the Islamic extremist Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) or the Pakistani judicial system, which makes blasphemy against Islam’s prophet punishable by death. They said Masih denies having written anything against Islam or its prophet, Muhammad, when he scribbled in a Muslim book he found in a glassworks shop where his brother works.

His brother, Irfan Masih, was busy elsewhere that day, Oct. 7, and asked him to fill in for him at the shop. Masih, who has a master’s in English and trained as a pastor at a United Pentecostal seminary, became bored and began going through books in a desk drawer, where he noticed one entitled, ‘I Asked the Bible Why Korans Were Burnt [in Urdu, ‘Mein ney Bible sey poocha Quran kyun jaley’],’ sources said.

A source close to Masih said the evangelist and tutor noticed several false statements about the Bible and about Jesus, which he highlighted with a marker and corrected by answering with verses from the Bible. The next day Masih found a case had been registered against him for blasphemy under the Pakistan Penal Code’s Section 295, parts A, B and C – for allegedly outraging religious feelings, defiling the Koran and defaming Muhammad respectively.

The book belonged to a Muslim worker at the shop, Abid Mehmood, who upon seeing the notations went to police and also notified the JuD, a banned Islamic militant organization related to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, which has been designated as a global terrorist group operating in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.

The United States has announced a $10 million bounty on JuD chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, but he is supported by Pakistan’s powerful Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence and moves about freely in the country.

Masih, married and a father of two young girls, went into hiding after learning that JuD had issued a fatwa calling for his head. A source said he had no idea that ‘pointing out false references in a book would land him in such big trouble.’

Hafiz Abdul Malik of the JuD told Morning Star News that the group would not tolerate one word against their prophet.

‘The police better arrest the blasphemer and hand him over to us on Saturday [Oct. 19],’ Malik said last week. ‘We will not be responsible for any law-and-order situation in the city if the police fails to keep its assurance. How dare someone use derogatory language against our beloved prophet … Don’t they know that the Koran orders us to slit the throat of whoever is disrespectful to Allah’s beloved prophet?'” Read more.

A Few Simple Questions for Muslim Visitors – “The Qur’an teaches that, according to Christianity, God acquired a son through procreation with Mary. In the eyes of Muslims, the term ‘son of God’ is believed to be, and is therefore understood, in a literal sense.  But this misrepresentation is so far from the basic tenets of Christianity that any serious student of the Qur’an should begin questioning the veracity of some of the teachings of Islam on this error alone… Because of Mohammed’s misunderstanding of what Christians believed and practiced, Islam teaches that the Christian belief of the Trinity is a polytheistic teaching of  ‘three gods’, characterized as the ‘Father’, and the ‘Son’ and the ‘Virgin Mary’ …” Read more.

Islamism Spreads In Central Africa: ‘Torture, Looting, The Murder Of Civilians Are Continuing Unabated’, Whole Villages Burn

For peaceful purposes …

Qur’an Sura 4:89, ”They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies … seize them and kill them wherever you find them …”

CNA – “Widespread violence in the Central African Republic which began in December is in risk of diffusing to nearby countries, an official with Aid to the Church in Need has warned.

‘The situation is becoming steadily more dramatic. Torture, looting and the murder of civilians are continuing unabated, whole villages are being burnt down,’ said Christine du Coudray, head of the charity’s African section, in an Oct. 22 interview with Aid to the Church in Need.

‘The country is sinking further and further into chaos, and there is a danger of a conflagration which could destabilize the whole region.’

The Central African Republic was engulfed in a war from 2004 to 2007, but violence broke out again in December, 2012. On March 24, 2013, Séléka rebels ousted the president, and installed their own leader in a coup.

The Séléka have since been officially disbanded, but its members continue to plunder the country through looting, torture and rape. The Central African Republic is among the world’s poorest countries, with extremely low human development and major human rights abuses.

The Central African Republic borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, and South Sudan. Of its population of 4.4 million, the United Nations estimates that hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their homes by this year’s violence.

du Coudray welcomed an Oct. 10 United Nations Security Council resolution which opens a path for international intervention in the country which it has said is in danger of becoming a failed state. She called the resolution “the first glimmer of hope for a country which has been on the brink for months.”

‘Public life does not function and the country is still being destroyed,’ du Coudray said, adding that ‘schools are closed, wages and salaries are not being paid … even in the past it was almost exclusively the Church which took care of the population.’

That remains true today. In Bossangoa, a city 200 miles north of the capital, Bangui, some 30,000 people took refuge in an enclosed church compound, a director of Doctors Without Borders reported in The Guardian Oct. 17. The compound is a Roman Catholic mission.

The violence in the Central African Republic is in danger of becoming sectarian. du Coudray said many of the Séléka ‘come from the Sudan or Chad’ and that a portion of them ‘are now importing Islamism …” Read more.

The Black Flag of Al-Qaeda Raised in Syria

The Black Flag of Al-Qaeda Raised in Syria

DW – “In the days after a sharpshooter put his brother in the crosshairs and pulled the trigger, Jalal Gazouha lived as if in a cloud. ‘I almost went crazy with grief,’ the Syrian explained on the telephone. The connection crackles. The 29-year-old’s brother was killed by al Qaeda fighters in the western Syrian city of al-Qusayr, close to the Lebanese border. Gazouha is convinced that his brother was killed because he was Christian. ‘They want to drive us out of Syria,’ he told DW.

By ‘they,’ he’s referring to Jihadists from countries neighboring Syria – with a few hundred from Germany mixed in – who have joined in the Syrian civil war to fight against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. According to Gazouha, they’re also targeting Christians. Twenty of his family members have been murdered, he says. When Gazouha received death threats, he fled the country. ‘I saw my name on a list on the Internet. That list contained names of Christians who were supposed to be killed, he says, written by ‘the terrorists of al Qaeda.’

Jean Kawak, a Syriac bishop from Damascus, chose his words carefully when he spoke about the subject with DW. ‘We Christians have recently felt threatened by particular radical Islamist groups,’ he said.

Kawak’s own sister was forced to flee Ma’loula, a small, largely Christian village just an hour’s drive north of Damascus. Islamist rebel groups attacked that village, carried out fire attacks on two churches in Rakka in north central Syria and also kidnapped two Syrian bishops in April; the culprits behind the latter attack, eyewitnesses said, were foreign Jihadists. All of these things, the Aramaic bishop says, ‘affect our Christian presence within Syria.’ One-third of Christians have fled the country in the last two years due to the civil war – with numbers increasing.

These radicalized groups are not only targeting Christians though, Kawak says. ‘Moderate Muslims are also being threatened.'” Read more.

Pakistan: Muslims Beat Christians For Refusing To Convert To Islam

10/25/2013 Leave a comment

The Muslim attackers repeated a common Islamic accusation by stating that Christians were guilty of altering the Bible over the years while the Qur’an was perfect (despite discoveries of old Qur’anic texts revealing many aberrations). What Muslims obviously fail to consider, however, are the logical implications of the fact that Mohammed himself clearly believed the Bible was not corrupt during the time in which the Qur’an was being “revealed” to him and even called upon the Christians of his day to adhere to the Scriptures they already possessed: Since archaeological discoveries have proven that, unlike the Qur’an, the Biblical texts we have today are the same Scriptures that Christians had during Mohammed’s time, when could the Bible have possibly been corrupted, who corrupted it, and how was it corrupted? …

Isaiah 59:21, “‘As for me, this is my covenant with them,’ says the LORD. ‘My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,’ says the LORD.”

Morning Star News – “Police in Islamabad have arrested three Muslims for pistol-whipping a Christian and his teenage nephews after they refused to convert to Islam, sources said.

The assailants in an Islamabad suburb allegedly have links to a banned Islamic extremist group. The primary suspect, Muhammad Nadeem, and others approached a 43-year-old Christian, low-level government worker Boota Masih, the night of Oct. 4 in the Khokhar Town area of suburban Islamabad, Masih said.

‘At around 9 p.m. my teenage nephews and I were standing in the street along with some Muslim neighbors when Nadeem and three of his accomplices approached us on two motorcycles,’ Masih said. ‘At that time we were discussing the recent terrorist attacks in Peshawar, including the one on a church [in which more than 80 Christians were killed and several dozen injured when two Uzbek suicide bombers targeted the Sunday service].’

The visitors joined the conversation, which turned tense when Nadeem said Christians had altered the Bible over the years and that Christianity was ‘a distortion of facts.’

‘He then bluntly asked me to convert to Islam,’ Masih said, adding that Nadeem told him, ‘Islam is the only true faith, and you must join us to fulfill Allah’s will. The West and Zionists are hatching conspiracies against Islam because they are scared of its rise and popularity in their countries … They know one day Allah will give the whole world in our control and every person will become a Muslim.’

Masih told Nadeem that he wasn’t interested in discussing religion with him, and that he should stop unnecessarily criticizing Christianity, he said.

‘The other Muslims present there also objected to Nadeem’s provocative remarks and told him to leave us alone, but he refused to leave, threatening instead that they would make sure that all Christians ‘seek forgiveness’ and ‘embrace Islam,’ or else they would have to face the ‘consequences,’’ he said.” Read more.

Syria: Islamist Rebels Burn Bibles And Christian Books In Front Of Raqqa Church

For futile purposes …

Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

Agenzia Fides – “The militia of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the faction that in several regions of Syria monopolized the armed insurrection against the regime in Damascus in recent days have organized a book burning of Bibles and Christian books in front of the Greek – Catholic church of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Raqqa, the Syrian city which has been for months under the control of anti-Assad militias. This information was reported by the indipendent Kurdish Agency – AraNews, known for its critical stance against the Syrian regime and in contact with activists and informers that from Raqqa have leaked the news via social networks.

The region of Raqqa was the scene of clashes between the army of Assad and the militias of the opposition in March. After the withdrawal of the government army, internal clashes between the anti-regime Free Syrian Army battalions and groups of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant began. The stated purpose of this faction is the creation of an Islamic caliphate in the areas which have fallen under its control. To do this, civilians are subjected to campaigns of indoctrination and fanaticization – based on jiahdist ideology. Already in September several videos circulating online had documented the vandalism committed against the two churches in the city of Raqqa by militants of ISIL, with the destruction of crosses, statues and sacred images.

In Raqqa, in late July, the Roman Jesuit Paolo Dall’Oglio was kidnapped. As reconstructed by Fides Agency (08/26/2013) the main suspects in the kidnapping of father Paolo are the affiliates of ISIL.” Source – Agenzia Fides.

By Raymond Ibrahim, American Thinker – “Who is more deserving of punishment by the United States?  Millions of Egyptians, for ousting the Muslim Brotherhood?  Or the Muslim Brotherhood, for habitually terrorizing and murdering Christians, among many other crimes?

According to the unmistakably clear actions of the Obama administration, it is the millions of anti-Brotherhood Egyptians who deserve punishment.

Last Sunday, the Church of the Virgin [Mary] in Waraq near Cairo was attacked during a wedding ceremony, leaving four dead and many wounded.  According to Dr. Hisham Abdul Hamid of forensics, two of those who were murdered were Christian children.  Both girls were named Mary: 12-year-old Mary Nabil Fahmy, who took five shots in the chest, and 8-year-old Mary Ashraf Masih (Christ), who took a bullet in the back.

It should be noted that this scene — attacked Coptic churches and murdered Christians, especially on holy days and celebrations — has become a normalized aspect of Egypt’s landscape (see Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians, especially pgs. 42-43 and 56-62).

So too are the murders of Christian children increasingly common in Egypt.  Indeed, along with Sunday’s two murdered Marys, back in July, another Christian girl, 10-year-old Jessi Boulos, was shot dead while walking home from Bible class.

All of these church attacks and murders are a direct byproduct of the Muslim Brotherhood’s incitements against Egypt’s Christians in response to the June 30 Revolution, which saw the ousting of the Brotherhood.

Needing someone to scapegoat in order to set Egypt ablaze, Brotherhood leadership — including supreme leader Muhammad Badie, Safwat Hegazi, and Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi — repeatedly demonized the nation’s Christian minority, leading to any number of atrocities committed against the Copts.

As today’s headline from one of Egypt’s most read newspapers, Tahrir News, put it: ‘The Brotherhood’s crime in Waraq [location of Sunday’s church attack].  Seventeen murdered Copts and 85 torched churches since ousting of Morsi[.] … Copts pay price of June 30 Revolution.’

Now consider the response of the United States concerning the conflict between Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood in the context of U.S. aid.

For years, human rights activists have been imploring the Obama administration to Read more…

The Law Of “Allah” Hath Spoken: Iran Sentences Christians To 80 Lashes For Taking Communion

10/24/2013 8 comments

Yes, 80. According to Muslims, taking communion in remembrance of Christ’s “it-didn’t-even-happen” sacrifice on the “it’s-an-evil-symbol” cross is grievous enough as it is, but to do so with wine? Boy, that’ll leave them seeing red. Which begs the question: What in “Allah’s name” will they do about all those rivers of wine in Mohammed’s glorious “paradise”? Contradictions. Where would Islam be without them? …

Qur’an Sura 47:15, “A similitude of the Garden which those who keep their duty (to Allah) are promised: Therein are rivers of water unpolluted … and rivers of wine delicious to the drinkers.”

By Benjamin Weinthal, Fox News – “Four Iranian Christians were reportedly sentenced to 80 lashes for drinking wine for communion, a shocking punishment meted out even as a new United Nations report blasted the Islamic republic for its systematic persecution of non-Muslims.

The four men were sentenced Oct. 6 after being arrested in a house church last December and charged with consuming alcohol in violation of the theocracy’s strict laws, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide. They were among several Christians punished for their faith in a nation where converting from Islam to Christianity can bring the death penalty. According to a new October UN report by Ahmed Shaheed, UN special rapporteur on human rights in Iran, such persecution is common, despite new President Hasan Rouhani’s pledge to be a moderate.

‘At least 20 Christians were in custody in July 2013,’ Shaheed wrote. ‘In addition, violations of the rights of Christians, particularly those belonging to evangelical Protestant groups, many of whom are converts, who proselytize to and serve Iranian Christians of Muslim background, continue to be reported.’

Iran’s regime has made stopping the spread of Christianity a cornerstone of its crackdown on religious freedom. There are estimated to be as many as 370,000 Christians in Iran, according to the most recent U.S. State Department report. The clerical rulers see Christianity as a threat to Iran’s majority ultra-orthodox Shiite Islamic religion.

‘Despite the recent Iranian charm offensive, Dr. Shaheed’s report reminds us of the true nature of the Iranian regime where the abuse of human rights continue,’ Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), chairman and founder of the Iran Dissident Awareness Program, told FoxNews.com.

‘Political prisoners like blogger Mohammad  Reza Pourshajari are being denied adequate medical care,  journalists and their families continue to be targets of the regime, Pastor Saeed Abedini and Amir Hekmati are still languishing in prison and the Baha’i community faces increasing persecution. This is the true nature of the regime we’re dealing with during negotiations in Geneva.’

Alireza Miryousefi,a spokesman for Iran’s mission to the UN, did not respond to requests for comment, but Iran’s government blasted Dr. Shaheed’s report as not objective. According to Iran’s state-controlled news outlet Press TV, an Iranian official from the UN mission said Shaheed ‘has not paid sufficient notice to Iran’s legal system and Islamic culture and considers whatever he sees in the West as an international standard for the entire world.’

Shaheed is widely considered to be one of the world’s leading authorities on human rights. He served as the minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.

‘It should be no surprise that Iran’s human rights record as documented by the UN is nothing short of atrocious,’ Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told FoxNews.com. ‘If the regime thinks that its international charm offensive will help whitewash its appalling human rights record as documented by the UN report, they are sorely mistaken.'” Read more.

Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And ‘The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse’ – “John describes the rider of the Black Horse in Revelation 6:5 as having ‘scales’ or ‘balances’ in his hands, employing the Greek word ‘zygos‘ which is also used metaphorically to refer to any sort of ‘burden’ or ‘bondage’ as well as the imposition of ‘troublesome laws’. Not only is inequality rampant in the Islamic world where Muslim men are considered superior to women and all non-Muslims in general, Islam is also a works-based system whereby ‘Allah’ weighs the ‘good and bad deeds’ of Muslims on a scale to determine who earns entry into Heaven and who does not. In every facet of daily life a Muslim’s conduct must be based upon a strict set of Islamic laws, called the Sharia, and anyone failing to follow ‘Allah’s’ burdensome edicts must suffer draconian punishments, non-Musims included.” Read more.

Anti-Christian Violence And The Silence Of ‘Moderate’ Muslims

10/22/2013 3 comments

Why should “moderate Muslims” do anything but remain silent about Islamic terror when, according to so many Western leaders, Islamic terrorism has absolutely nothing to do with Islam? …

Qur’an Sura 24:35, “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth… Allah doth guide whom He will to His light…”

2 Corinthians 11:14-15, “… for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

By Piero Gheddo, AsiaNews – “An Italian man, who recently came back from the Philippines, told me that on the big island of Mindanao, hundreds of extremists came at night from the island’s interior and from smaller islands to attack a suburb of the city of Zamboanga, looting and burning houses and huts. They retreated taking dozens of hostages, leaving behind dead and wounded victims. The Italian said that targeted killings and kidnappings are frequent, but perhaps this is the first time that such a large-scale attack on Christians was carried out. Fear of new attacks has spread and nothing will be as before. The government is bound to send in the army and more fighting, revenge attacks and destruction are to be expected. Those who can have fled to other parts of the country, as people’s lives and the economy are on hold. From Gulf countries, money is being sent to ulemas, mosques and Qur’anic schools to train young people to fight and accept to become ‘martyrs for Islam’ against the Christian state. Salafists want an autonomous region for the Muslim minority on the island of Mindanao, which would join Malaya and Malaysian Borneo to form a single Islamic state.

All this does not make its way into front-page news, and yet there is more. Three days ago, an attack was carried out against a Christian wedding in Giza, in southern Cairo, that left four people dead and 18 wounded according to the latest report.

In Bangladesh, people have always adhered to a moderate form of Islam. At present, foreign missionaries and nuns are still allowed in, but in recent years, a number of Islamist movements and groups have stirred people up. They have called on the government to make the Sharia (Islamic law) the law of the land, holding up the country for days with non-stop strikes and demonstrations that often result in unnecessary violence (travellers and workers are stopped, beaten, stabbed and killed sometimes). The small Christian, Hindu and Buddhist minorities are under pressure and have to endure every day specious sentences, acts of injustice, and violence. As Bangladesh’s upcoming general election draws near, many fear the worse.

The Central African Republic is ‘one of the most destabilised states in the continent’ because of foreign Muslim gangs (from Nigeria, Chad, Niger, and Sudan) who seized power in the capital Bangui, ousting President Bozizé. As Mondo e Missione (October 2013) reported, ‘during the offensive by Seleka forces (the ruling Islamists), hospitals and health centres were looted and medical staff fled. The health situation is dramatic. […] Christians are being targeted by Islamic soldiers,’ a Protestant clergyman said, ‘tied, beaten and forced to hand over money to save their life …. Seleka rebels have ravaged and plundered places of worship, killing and forcing hundreds of thousands of people to flee, targeting especially Christians.’ In four dioceses in Central Africa, at least half of all Church assets have been heavily looted, destroyed or taken away. ‘Everywhere, people are leaving,’ Mgr Juan José Aguirre, bishop of Bangassou, said. ‘Civilians are killed and girls raped. They stole everything they could in the dioceses: cars, motorcycles, even refrigerators, television sets, blankets. They destroyed everything: from educational centres to children’s facilities.’ And ‘In Bohong, foreign Seleka soldiers did not spare a single hut belonging to non-Muslims residents,’ a report issued by the Diocese of Bohong said. ‘Throughout the city, except on the Muslim side, the same scene can be seen: roofless, empty homes and blackened walls ….'” Read more.
