Syria: Islamist Rebels ‘Cleansing’ Christians From Syrian Town

07/28/2013 Leave a comment

Because Christians believe in YHWH and His Messiah, not in “Allah” and his “messenger.” It is no secret that one of the reasons why Islamists hate Christianity is because it associates Jesus with God, making Jesus a co-equal partner with the Almighty. This, according to Islam, is called shirk“ and is an unpardonable sin that “Allah” will never forgive. The truth of the matter, however, is that Islam itself also associates the “prophet” Mohammed — whom Muslims claim to be the most “perfect man” to ever walk the face of the earth — with “Allah” himself. On one hand, Islam teaches that “Allah” has no partners, but then contradicts itself by teaching that someone cannot become a Muslim unless they acknowledge that “There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his messengerper the Shahada. Unless one acknowledges Mohammed they cannot become a Muslim. In Islam, a Muslim’s “salvation” is therefore entirely determined by their obedience and devotion to Mohammed, effectively elevating the “prophet” of Islam to the same co-equal status of Islam’s own deity. To acknowledge “Allah” is not enough. You MUST acknowledge the “perfect man” Mohammed, too …

Mohammed Engulfed In “Sacred Fire” During His “Ascension Into Heaven”

JNS – “In a recent visit as part of a humanitarian aid mission to Syria, Dr. John Eibner, CEO of Christian Solidarity International (CSI), met with a Syrian Christian man from the city of Qusayr who described the religious cleansing of his home by Islamic extremists.

According to CSI, before the civil war the city of Qusayr, located in eastern portion of Syria near the Lebanese border, had around 40,000 people, including 7,000 Christians.

‘In late 2011, the Sunni townsmen came and told us to either join us in anti-regime demonstrations or leave the town. If we didn’t, we would be killed,’ Fadul Abu Yohanna Kasouhah, a Christian resident of Qusayr, described to CSI.

According to Fadul, the Sunni Islamists in his village used the loudspeakers from the Mosques to name the Christian families by name and told them to leave.

Fadul told CSI how his cousin was gunned down by Sunni extremists for refusing to leave.

‘My cousin Bater said, ‘We will not leave. This is our town, our land.’ He was recently married, and his wife was seven months pregnant. They shot him to death as he was going to work on his motorbike,’ Fadul said.

Eventually, the local Sunni extremists were joined by foreign Islamic jihadists and cleansed the town of Christians, according to Fadul.” Read more.

Flashback: Former Muslim: Islam Is ‘Not Merely A Religion But A Cult Belief System, The Cult Of Muhammad’ – “Exegetically and hermeneutically, the ‘number’ (arithmos) of the Beast does not necessitate the use of mathematics or gammatria to ‘reckon’ what it is, as many prophecy teachers have often assumed. The reason for this is simple. The word ‘arithmos’ is used a total of 18 times in the New Testament, and aside from Revelation 5:11 when John is referring to the number of angels around the throne of God, every other time ‘arithmos’ is used it is always referring to a group of people… in order to convert to ‘Allah’s religion’ one must recite the Islamic creed, called the Shahada, by declaring that ‘There is no god but Allah, and MOHAMMED is his messenger.’ Without Christ, there can be no Christianity. Likewise, without Mohammed, there can be no Islam… it therefore only stands to reason that ‘the number (multitude) of a man’ is not referring to an eschatonic Antichrist, but rather to Mohammed — the founder and (false) prophet of Islam — whose teachings even today, and in increasing measure, continues to force all those under Islamic rule to worship Allah — the god of Islam — who should otherwise be killed if they refuse” Read more.

Italy: Muslim Immigrants Break Into Christian Church, Steal Offerings, Defecate On Altar

07/28/2013 5 comments

The “prophet” of Islam promised that Rome (Christianity) would one day be conquered by Muslims. Although anyone, regardless of ideology, could break into a church and steal offerings, to then relieve themselves on the church’s altar before leaving serves nothing but to demonstrate yet again the true nature of Islam’s deep-seated hatred toward anything and everything associated with Christianity. Whether it be in the Old World or the New, in the world of Islam all conquered roads eventually lead to Rome

Vlad Tepes (Translation) – “SERRAVALLE. First they gained entry to the rectory of Libiola and stole the money collected by the children of Grest, and then, still not happy, they entered the nearby church which, since last year’s earthquake, is a simple tensile structure made of plastic and defecated and urinated next to the altar. This was a contemptuous act of vandalism and sacrilege. The culprits were identified, because a woman saw them coming out of the tent. They were four boys of Moroccan origin, one resident in Serravalle, the others from Ostiglia and surroundings.

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon, but the parish priest, Father Eugenio Ferrari, has only yesterday made an official complaint to the police. That day the parish house of Libiola, inhabited by two nuns, was empty and locked because the sisters, along with the parish priest, had gone on a trip with the children of the Grest on a day trip to a mountain resort. Undisturbed, then, the criminals broke the lock of a back door and entered. They climbed upstairs and also forced the lock on the bedroom of the Sister Superior. In a bag in a drawer there were about eighty euro, the takings of the third week of Grest, plus a portion of the proceeds of a summer risotto organized by the group of children and parents. Having carried out the theft, the group was still not satisfied to leave. They wanted to leave their mark. A mark of vandalism, that because the place where it was made, also takes on the meaning of a provocation, a disgraceful affront.

Without difficulty, the criminals cut the plastic edge of the tent used as a church and, once inside, they left droppings near the altar. In the tent there is absolutely nothing to steal, then having terminated their organic needs, the thieves-vandals are gone. Apparently, a local woman saw them run away and recognized one, the one who lives in Libiola. The police identified the other three accomplices after receiving the complaint of the pastor. Up to now, four people have been identified, four boys of Moroccan origin living in and around Libiola Ostiglia…” Read more.

Nigeria: Young Christian Girls At Risk Of Abduction, Many Held In Homes Of Muslim ‘Leaders’

Qur’an Sura 4:34a, “Men have authority over women because [Allah] has made the one superior to the other …”

And if “Allah” deems something lawful, who are we to question it? Once again we have more examples of Islamists conquering, seeking to conquer, and taking the spoils …

Christian Today – “Christian girls in northern Nigeria are increasingly at risk of abduction by Muslims who are then forcing them to renounce their faith.

Professor Daniel Babayi, of the Northern Christian Association of Nigeria, told Barnabas Fund that Christian girls below the age of 18 were being targeted.

The girls are held in the homes of Muslim leaders but when Christians report this to the police, they say there is nothing they can do.

‘The police have become very helpless.  In some instances, they are part of the conspiracy,’ said Professor Babayi.

Last year, militant Islamic group Boko Haram threatened to kidnap Christian women as part of ‘new efforts to strike fear into the Christians of the power of Islam’, Barnabas reports.

Boko Haram has stated its intention to eradicate Christians from northern Nigeria and implement a strict interpretation of Sharia law across the region.

The group has repeatedly attacked Christian communities and churches, most recently killing 40 at a boarding school in Yobe state on 6 July.  A dormitory was set alight in the attack and those fleeing gunned down.

Last month, an attack on a secondary school in Yobe and another school in Borno left 16 students dead.

Barnabas Fund added that Boko Haram was recruiting unschooled and unemployed children, sometimes by force.” Source – Christian Today.

Pakistan: Muslim Man Threatens To Abduct, Disfigure Christian Nurse For Refusing To Marry Him And Convert To Islam

07/25/2013 2 comments

According to Islam, all women are like mere animals that can be treated as possessions, so it matters not what women desire. They are all inferior. Christian women, however, are among the “vilest of animals” since they believe in YHWH and His Messiah, not in the god of Islam and his (false) “prophet.” But to live in a Muslim land also means that they have now been “conquered” and have therefore been given by “Allah” to the men of Islam as the spoils of a 1400-year war …

Sura 33:50a, O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowries, and those whom thy right hand possesseth of those whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war…

Daniel 11:37a, “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women …”

By Jibran Kahn, AsiaNews – “Pakistan’s small Catholic community has been shaken again by another case of violence. An influential Muslim businessman in the district of Sanghar has repeatedly threatened a Catholic nurse who has refused to marry him, filing a case against her when she became engaged to another man. Despite the threats, the situation seems under control for now. Police, which so far aided and abetted the Muslim man, has been forced to provide protection to the Catholic woman thanks to pressure from Christian groups and moderate Muslims.

It all began when Ghulam Muhammad decided he wanted to marry Nazia Masih (pictured), a Catholic nurse from Padri-Jo-Goth, Sanghar District, who works at Cheniot Hospital.

Muhammad approached her with a proposal to marry him and convert to Islam. After she turned him down, he threatened to abduct her and disfigure her with acid.

Regrettably, Muhammad has a certain reputation in the district as someone who has already abducted, raped and forcibly converted local Hindu women to Islam. Those who dared sue him for rape were in fact unable to obtain justice.

On her way home on 10 May, Nazia Masih was approached by four armed men who warned her to accept Muhammad’s proposal or else. After harassing her, they drove away. Frightened, she sought help at work but hospital authorities refused.

The girl’s parents decided then to anticipate her engagement to Ejaz Joseph, a local Christian, on 26 May. However, Ghulam Muhammad interrupted the ceremony accompanied by several police officers who, without evidence of any crime, tried to arrest the couple.

Luckily, after the involvement of village elders, police took her father and brother away, but released them a few hours later. Eventually, Nazia’s persecutor decided to change tactic and tried to pressure Joseph with dire consequences if he do not leave the nurse.

The girl’s family decided again to ask the authorities for help and filed a complaint at the police station in Sanghar. Once more, Muhammad’s influence thwarted an investigation into the matter.” Read more.

Devout Muslim Author Writes A Book Of Lies About ‘Jesus’, Liberal Media Loves It

07/24/2013 6 comments

Lies. Islam couldn’t exist without them. Here we have yet another effort by yet another suit-and-tie Islamist attempting to make alterations in history from one that is based upon truth, to one that is anything but. But such is the modus operandi of Islam …

Update: The writer has been caught misrepresenting his “scholarly credentials” …

Daniel 7:25a, “He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law …”

By John S. Dickerson, Fox News – “Reza Aslan, author of the new book, ‘Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth‘ has been interviewed on a host of media outlets in the last week. Riding a publicity wave, the book has surged to #2 on Amazon’s list.

Media reports have introduced Aslan as a ‘religion scholar’ but have failed to mention that he is a devout Muslim.

His book is not a historian’s report on Jesus. It is an educated Muslim’s opinion about Jesus — yet the book is being peddled as objective history on national TV and radio.

Aslan is not a trained historian. Like tens of thousands of us he has been formally educated in theology and New Testament Greek.

He is a bright man with every right to hold his own opinion about Jesus—and to proselytize his opinion.

As a sincere man, Aslan’s Muslim beliefs affect his entire life, including his conclusions about Jesus. But this is not being disclosed. ‘Zealot’ is being presented as objective and scholarly history, not as it actually is—an educated Muslim’s opinions about Jesus and the ancient Near East.

‘Zealot’ is a fast-paced demolition of the core beliefs that Christianity has taught about Jesus for 2,000 years. Its conclusions are long-held Islamic claims—namely, that Jesus was a zealous prophet type who didn’t claim to be God, that Christians have misunderstood him, and that the Christian Gospels are not the actual words or life of Jesus but ‘myth.’

These claims are not new or unique. They are hundreds of years old among Muslims. Sadly, readers who have listened to interviews on NPR, ‘The Daily Show,’ Huffington Post or MSNBC may pick up the book expecting an unbiased and historic report on Jesus and first century Jewish culture. (I will let my Jewish friends address Aslan’s statement on MSNBC that, ‘there were certainly a lot of Jewish terrorists in first century Palestine.’) …

‘Zealot’ is written with the self-assumed authority of groundbreaking revelation from a historian. In reality, it is a religious person’s opinion about Jesus—from an adherent to the religion that has been in violent opposition to Christ for 1,400 years.” Read more.

Muslim Persecution Of Christians: April, 2013

07/24/2013 3 comments

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “Before Egypt’s President Muhammad Morsi was ousted, April was one of the worst months for Christian Copts there. On April 5 near Cairo, when a longstanding feud between a Christian family and a Muslim family—based on male Muslims sexually harassing Christian girls—culminated in the violent deaths of six Christians, including two of the participants, a Christian and a Muslim, being set on fire, and local Muslims went on another ‘collective punishment‘ spree. It resulted in the injury of at least 20 other Copts, an Evangelical church being set on fire, and an attack on a Coptic church, Two days later, after Copts had mourned their dead in the St. Mark Cathedral—Coptic Christianity’s holiest site and home to the Coptic pope—Muslim mobs, who had waited outside, launched yet another attack—aided by state security forces. Eyewitnesses said as many as 40-50 tear gas canisters targeted the mourners, many of whom were women and children hiding in the cathedral. Two more Copts were killed and many dozens wounded as other officers stood by while the Muslim mob tried to destroy the cathedral.

On one Friday after prayers, the Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque in Cairo was turned into a ‘torture chamber‘ for Egyptians, many of whom were Christians, protesting the Muslim Brotherhood. One of the victims, Amir Ayad, a Christian, said he was severely beaten before being left for dead at the side of the road. He suffered a fractured skull, a broken arm, bleeding in his right eye and pellet wounds. Coptic Christian children, mostly boys, were targeted for kidnapping and held for ransom; one 6-year-old, after his family had paid the Muslim kidnapper, was killed. And a video appeared on Arabic-language websites showing a crowd of Muslims in Egypt assaulting and raping two Christian women on a crowded street and in broad daylight. Throughout, the women scream in terror as the men shout Islamic slogans such as ‘Allahu Akbar!’ ‘[‘Allah is Greater!’] None of the many passersby intervenes in any way.

Also in April, during Easter week in Nigeria, Muslim herdsmen launched a series of raids on Christian villages, killing at least 80 Christians. Most of those slain were either children or the elderly. Over 200 Christian homes were destroyed, eight churches burned, and 4,500 Christians displaced. According to a pastor present at the time, ‘It was a helpless situation, as no Christians had any weapon to fight back. Women, children, and the elderly who were not able to escape were shot and killed. Luckily, all my children are in school, so this made it easier for our escape from the Muslim attackers. We sneaked away in the midst of the confusion and trekked for more than 20 kilometers [12 miles] to find a place to stay.’

Categorized by theme, the rest of April’s Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes (but is not limited to) the following accounts, listed by theme and in country alphabetical order, not necessarily according to severity:

Church Attacks

Central African Republic: A number of church buildings were attacked and the homes of Christians looted in the aftermath of a bloody coup by Sharia-adherent Muslim rebels. During the chaos, as in a standard jihad, Christian property was targeted for plundering, while Muslim property was spared. Iraq: Muslim Ambulance Driver Refuses To Take Dead Body Of Christian Woman To Church For Funeral

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”

AsiaNews – “A Kurdish ambulance driver refused to transport the body of an Assyrian woman from the hospital to the church, saying it was forbidden in Islam. The incident occurred in Iraqi Kurdistan, a symptom of the country’s growing ethnic-religious polarisation.

The body of the Assyrian woman, who died last Sunday at Zarkari hospital in Erbil, had to be brought to the town of Ankawa, but the Muslim ambulance driver refused to drive to the church because it is ‘haram’ (forbidden) in Islam.

Marivan Naqshbandi, media director at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Kurdish Regional Government in north of Iraq, asked the Health Ministry to open an investigation into the case.

‘The Committee for promoting religious coexistence, which was formed recently in the region, should follow up on this case to insure that civil servants carry out their duties professionally and impartially and not on the basis of personal religious beliefs,’ he said.

Insecurity and violence are rising in the country, especially after US and international troops left in 2011.” Read more.

Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas Smuggling Enough Rockets Into Egypt To ‘Destroy An Entire Neighborhood’

07/22/2013 Leave a comment

Muslim Brotherhood supporters know that they cannot fight and win a direct battle against the Egyptian military. Given the fact that Islamists are directly blaming and even targeting Egypt’s Christian community since the ouster of Mohammed Morsi, I cannot help but wonder what the Brotherhood and their fellow Islamists are planning, and against whom? …

Brotherhood Supporter Promises A New Taliban And Al Qaeda In Egypt

By Daniel Greenfield, Frontpage Mag – “The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood doesn’t have the patience to wait around for arms aid from Obama the way that the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood running the Free Syrian Army has. Instead it’s getting rockets from its Hamas outlet over in Gaza.

A high-ranking Egyptian general on Wednesday accused Hamas of smuggling rockets into Egypt for use by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Hamas started out as an offshoot of the Egyptian Brotherhood and maintained close ties with the deposed Egyptian regime led by Brotherhood member Mohamed Morsi.

Maj. Gen. Osama Askar, commander of Egypt’s Third Army, accused Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, of smuggling 19 Grad rockets. Egyptian soldiers intercepted the rocket shipment along the Suez-Cairo highway, which Askar charged was on its way to Cairo to help the Muslim Brotherhood.

“The confiscated rockets were enough to destroy an entire neighborhood, indicating they were on their way to be used in terror activities against the Egyptian people,” Askar told reporters.

The captured rockets are the same type used by the Qassam Brigades against Israel. Egyptian troops also discovered military uniforms last Sunday that that Askar said were “enough for an entire army.”

The Muslim Brotherhood certainly has no objection to a bloody civil war, but the Egyptian Army is a much harder target than the Syrian Army and the Brotherhood won’t have the kind of support it does in Syria.

Still enough weapons can create some very bloody disruptions while destabilizing the situation. Attacks can be blamed on the military, especially if they’re carried out as false flag operations by Muslim Brotherhood personnel in uniform.

The Muslim Brotherhood is making it clear that they are not going to limit themselves to protesting while waiting for political pressure from Obama to force a reversal. Instead they’re going to disrupt things in a much bloodier way.

But what else would anyone expect from a terrorist group?” Source – Frontpage Mag.

Human Rights Group: Young Christian Women Are Bearing The Biggest Brunt Of Syria’s Two-Year-Old Civil War

Daniel 11:37a, “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers [Yahweh], nor the desire of women …”

Al Rod Al Anf, Volume 2, Page 182: “You see [our god Allah] will soon make you inherit their land, their treasures and make you sleep with their women.” (The Words of Mohammed as Recorded by Ibn Hisham)

By Michael Carl, WND – “Syria’s young Christian women are bearing the biggest brunt of the two-year-old civil war, according to a human rights group.

The report by Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, released by Open Doors USA, estimates there have been more than 100,000 casualties since the war’s beginning in 2011.

Five thousand of those casualties are children under the age of 16.

Open Doors spokesman Jerry Dykstra told WND that a disproportionate number of the casualties are young Christian women and girls.

‘The fact is there have been reports of rape of women and girls in Christian communities of Syria. In some of the areas, students stay home from school and church. One report said 5,000 children 16 and below have been killed in the war,’ Dykstra said.

International Christian Concern’s Middle East area specialist Todd Daniels says that non-Muslim Christian women are the target of a fatwa, a religious instruction under Islam.

‘Women, especially those who are non-Sunni, have been particularly affected by the influx of militant Islamic extremists,’ Daniels said. ‘They have taken to abusing non-Sunni women who are viewed as infidels or worse.’

He said the fatwa is an ‘example of the kind of ideology that is not only permitting but in some instances even encouraging treatment of these women in what is really an inhumane way.’

The fatwa was issued by Jordan-born Salafi cleric Sheikh Yasir al-Ajlawni, who said Muslims fighting to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad can legally ‘capture and have sex with all non-Sunni women.’

Daniels says that means the sheik is permitting rape of all non-Muslim women. Even though the fatwa includes all non-Sunni women, he said, Syria’s Christian women are getting the worst treatment.

Daniels said he has met with Syrian who still have close links to the country and has heard a number of stories of attacks.

‘There have been a lot of refugees who have fled from the Qusair region to Damascus, and they have very bad stories of what they are experiencing,’ Daniels said.

A young Syrian Christian woman told WND through Open Doors that before the war, Christians were on the fringes. She said that now they’re rebel targets.” Read more.

Egypt: Christian Girls Being Snatched By Islamist Traffickers

07/22/2013 Leave a comment

AINA – “The recent upheaval in Egypt once again brings to the forefront the plight of the country’s Christians who have come under increased attack from Islamists since the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi.

Now they’re hoping and praying Egypt’s next government will do a better job of protecting them from attacks and the trafficking of Christian girls.

Funerals like the recent one at St. Mina Church in North Sinai have become all too familiar for Egyptian Christians. Friends and family recently paid final respects to Father Mina Aboud, a beloved Coptic priest. Islamist gunmen opened fire on Mina July 6 while he drove his car after shopping in the northern Sinai town of el Arish.

Father Mina’s murder was no surprise to Egypt’s Christians because they are frequent targets of attack during times of political instability. Christians have struggled for years–not only to protect their churches, homes and businesses, but also their daughters.

One of the challenges facing Christian families, particularly in Upper Egypt, is the kidnapping of young Christian girls. It generally happens when the girls enter their teen years.

To help avoid this tragedy, some families re-locate to Christian villages. But with that comes a whole new set of challenges.

Manel moved her family from a Muslim village to a Christian one near el Minya because she wanted to protect her oldest daughter Maryam from abduction and forced conversion. She made the decision after noticing some Muslim girls and boys attempting to lure Maryam away from her family and faith.

‘The girls used to tell Maryam, ‘Come with us, we will give you a some money, you are having a hard life.’ The young boys were sending the young girls to do this,’ Manel explained. ‘I feared they would kidnap her and then demand a lot of money to return her, or they would return her and she wouldn’t be in the same way as they took her.’ Now residing as strangers in a new town, Manel’s husband has difficulty finding work.

‘I’m much happier now because it is safe for my daughters here, but the working opportunities for my husband are little because few people know my husband,’ she said.

Maryam’s family borrowed money to buy food and make their house payment. They prayed God would provide help.

She and her family are not alone. Last year, a Helsinki Commission hearing revealed the number of disappearances and abduction of Christian girls is increasing. Human trafficking expert Michel Clark told of more than 800 cases.” Read more.

According to a story by Morning Star News, human rights group Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reported that the eight members of the Church of Iran were sentenced in Shiraz, 571 miles south of Tehran.

Seven of them were originally arrested in Oct. 2012, when security forces raided an evening prayer service. The eighth, Massoud Rezaid, was arrested six days later.

Sentences ranged between one and six years.

Morning Star News said Iranian Christian leaders denied the eight were involved in politically subversive activity.

‘In accordance with the gospel, the church is apolitical,’ said a statement released by the National Council of the Church of Iran.

‘While individual Christians are entitled to hold political opinions, the church does not. These charges are entirely without foundation.

‘However, as loyal citizens we will continue to pray for our leaders and for peace and reconciliation in our nation.’…

Morning Star News said the sentencing comes a month after the presidential election of Hassan Rouhani. Many international analysts believed he would be a modernising force after the eight-year presidency of hardliner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his crack-down on religious minorities and political dissidents.

Little has changed in terms of religious freedoms for non-Muslims since Rouhani’s election, CSW Press Officer Kiri Kankhwende told Morning Star News.” Read more.

Nigeria: Suspected Islamists Slaughter Dozens Of Christians In Plateau State

Romans 8:35-37, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, ‘For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

Morning Star News – “Gunmen killed six Christians in an early morning attack yesterday on Dinu village in southern Plateau state, a month after  Muslim Fulani herdsmen shot a Christian to death in a nearby village, Christian leaders said.

The identities of the gunmen and the victims were not immediately known, though the Rev. Johnson Kikem, chairman of a nearby Regional Church Council of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), reported that church members who fled the village in Wase Local Government Area said the assailants were Muslims.

‘Some of our church members there who escaped from the village and ran to us here in Langtang brought the news of the attack,’ Kikem said. ‘We have been told that six of our members have been killed.’

On June 18, ethnic Fulani Muslims killed Toma Vongjen, 40, in a village in Bakin Rijiya of the Wase area, 216 kilometers (134 miles) southeast of Jos in Plateau state, and left church buildings in four villages in ruins (see Morning Star News, June 21).

Fulani Muslims have long fought over property with Christians of other ethnicities, and Islamic extremist groups are suspected of inflaming the herdsmen’s anti-Christian sentiment. The Fulani herdsmen and the predominantly Christian, ethnic Tarok farmers have accused each other of castle-rustling and retaliatory violence in recent months...

In Langtang Local Government Area 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Wase, however, more than 30 Christian men, women and children were slain in three villages in southern Plateau state on June 27 by suspected Islamic extremists from outside of Nigeria, authorities said.

Initially a Muslim spokesman for the military’s Special Task Force (STF), Capt. Salisu Mustapha, said the Christian residents of Magama, Bolgong and Karkashi were attacked by Fulani herdsmen in apparent retaliation for cattle theft. The extent of the massacre and the STF’s firestorm response – killing 20 of the assailants in gun battles, and tracking down and killing another 100 – indicated the attacks resulted from more than tribal conflict, and a week later a more authoritative STF officer denied the attack grew out of ethnic tensions.

‘This is not a case of ethnic crisis between [Muslim] Fulani and [Christian] Tarok, it was a case where some gunmen came to attack residents of three communities of Langtang South Local Government,’ Maj. Gen. Henry Ayoola, commander of the STF in Plateau state, told reporters in Jos on July 3. ‘We found that most of the attackers were not even Nigerians; also, many of them wore talismans and all manners of things over their bodies.'” Read more.

Flashback: Islam In Africa: ‘An Invisible Genocide Where Sadistic Killers Slaughter And Execute Thousands Of Christians’ – “The UN does nothing, the world is silent, and most Western citizens, who know little about Africa, do not know it is happening. The goal is creating a big African-Islamic continent. Christians must be killed or expelled. Fom Nigeria to Sudan, it is raging, the ‘Odium Fidei’, the war of religion. A genocide epitomized not by the images of Sydney Pollack’s ‘Out of Africa’, which presents a continent that is rich and attractive, but by the Nigerian village of Dogo Nahawa, where Islamists, armed with machetes, killed 300 Christians, mostly women and children.” Read more.
