Racism, rape and riotous behavior. Sounds awfully reminiscent of the routine behavior of a ruthless religion. And it’s only going to get much, much worse …

A life broken, annihilated. For this retired woman of 76 who has been living for years in Ivry (Val-de-Marne) close to the Parisian suburbs, there is a before … and an after August 7. On that day four masked men broke into her home, one of them raped her while the other three ransacked the home. The alleged rapist was arrested last week and remanded in custody.

Long-established in the building, this lady runs a peaceful retirement with her companion, a bit younger than her and still working. He goes to work each morning, leaving his friend about her business. In recent months, anti-social behavior increased in the building. Agitation, insults, occupying halls and friction with residents. ‘The unemployed youths gather there,’ said a local resident. ‘They are often loud, in a daze.’ ‘Between the screams, drugs and tensions, it has become a zone of lawlessness,’ says an exasperated tenant. ‘I have lived here for twenty-three years, I’ve never seen it like that.’

Two steps away from a crowd often gathering under her window, she sometimes called for quiet, attempting to start dialogue. The gang remained deaf to her complaints. Worse, verbal abuse was fused with ‘anti-white’ insults, according to testimony. The lady in her 70’s was intimidated and threatened with reprisals if she remained at her window and was even promised worst torture.
