Hi Mehdi, the issue is not with just a “few people”, it is with an entire religious and political ideology and what it condones, encourages and teaches in it’s so-called “holy” texts. Islam positions itself as the one true religion of God, one that is morally superior to Judeo-Christian values which recognizes the dignity of life, equality between men and women and supports human rights & freedom. Yet Islam calls for Muslims to wage war against non-Muslims and to kill them, it permits the raping of women captured as the spoils of war, it demonizes Jews and Christians, it permits lying and deception to advance the cause of Islam, it supports polygamy, it denigrates women to only half the value of a Muslim man, it permits a form of prostitution disguised as “marriage”, it permits marriages to young children (in fact its own self-declared “prophet” consummated a marriage to a 9 year-old child), etc. Sure, there are some positive traits to Muslims. YHWH God loves the Muslim people and desires to see them come to Him, but the problem is with Islam itself. It is morally bankrupt and oppresses those that follow it in spiritual darkness. They are imprisoned by it. It even demands the death of anyone who leaves Islam for another faith. What Muslims need is not Islam. They need Truth. They need real Peace. They need to be set free. They need Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

To the contrary, YHWH God is using the means that we now have to help shed light upon Islam and the atrocities committed in the name of Allah so that the world can see it for what it truly is.

According to TROP, since 9/11/2001 Islamic terrorists have carried out nearly 19,000 documented acts of terrorism in the name of Islam against both Muslims and non-Muslims. In fact, more people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. Nineteen Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the last 65 years. Is pointing out facts like this “Islamophobic”? Or merely more inconvenient truths that proponents of Islam would rather we just ignore?

The key word here is “innocent.” But who is innocent according to Islam? Were the thousands and thousands referred to above “innocent”? Let’s take a look at where you find this in the Qur’an:

Qur’an 5:32-33, “For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom.”

What is “striving after corruption”? Is it not “blasphemy” such as criticizing Mohammed, criticizing Islam, leaving Islam, teaching Christianity, teaching Judaism, or any behaviour or ideas contrary to Islam? And what does this passage state that the consequences are for those who “strive after corruption”? Is it not death, crucifixion, dismemberment, or expulsion from the land? If you really wanted to show us what Islam says, why did you leave this part out?

I agree that suicide bombings are not sanctioned in Islam. Suicide is forbidden, but killing the enemies of Islam is a direct mandate. According to those who promote and engage in suicide operations, if one dies a martyr while killing the enemies of Islam it is not considered suicide. People who commit “suicide” kill only themselves, thus suicide is not the focus, but rather the focus is the killing of the enemies of Islam. Dying in this jihad is therefore considered martyrdom in the eyes of these Islamists, and a guaranteed ticket to Mohammed’s “paradise.”

What you said above contradicts the clear teachings of the Qur’an. For example, Sura 3:85 says, “And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.” Why among the losers? Because, according to the Qur’an, he is in hell.

Christians believe in the Triunity of One God and that Jesus is God in the flesh. According to Islam, belief in the Trinity is “shirk” — which is an unforgivable sin. How can a non-Muslim such as a Christian who believes this basic teaching of Christianity and who follows his faith strictly not end up in hell if believing that Jesus is God is “unforgivable”? The answer is simple. According to Islam it will never be accepted from him and he will never be “worthy” enough to enter Mohammed’s “paradise.”

Some Muslim apologists would love for us to believe that, but even a cursory study of Mohammed and Islamic history demonstrates why such a notion is completely disregarded by even many Muslim historians. In the book “Jurisprudence in Muhammad’s Biography”, the Azhar scholar, Dr. Muhammad Sa’id Ramadan al-Buti says the following (page 134, 7th edition):

“The Holy War, as it is known in Islamic Jurisprudence, is basically an offensive war. This is the duty of Muslims in every age when the needed military power becomes available to them. This is the phase in which the meaning of Holy War has taken its final form. Thus the apostle of God said: ‘I was commanded to fight the people until they believe in God and his message …“’

Many provocative and painful events were inflicted on individuals and tribes in the course of Muhammad’s life. Muhammad, as we will see, used to exhort his followers:

“Invitation first (that is, call them first to embrace Islam). If they refuse, then war.”

In other words, he told his followers not to kill anybody unless you first invite him to embrace Islam. Only if he rejects it, must he be killed. This is evident in the story of Abu Sufyan:

When Muhammad and his followers were about to attack Mecca to subjugate it to Islam, his adherents arrested Abu Sufyan, one of Mecca’s inhabitants. They brought him to Muhammad. Muhammad told him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to realize that there is no God but the only God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “I do believe that.” Muhammad then said to him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to know that I am the apostle of God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “By God, O Muhammad, of this there is doubt in my soul.” The ’Abbas who was present with Muhammad told Abu Sufyan: “Woe to you! Accept Islam and testify that Muhammad is the apostle of God before your neck is cut off by the sword.” Thus he professed the faith of Islam and became a Muslim.

Read more here. Within a hundred years the Muslim hordes, by force of arms, had conquered territories from Spain in the West to India in the East. Was this all purely defensive? What threat faced the small community of Muslims in Medina from the shores of Spain and frontiers of France? The thesis that Muhammad never took the sword for aggressive purposes appears very weak in the light of this famous verse from the Qur’an, known as the ayatus-saif, the “verse of the sword”:

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and Iie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war). Surah 9.5

They were only to be spared if they repented and became Muslims, the verse continues. Read more here.

Mehdi, “Oppression of women,there is no religion in this world who have elevated the statues of women like Islam”

According to Islam’s prophet, women are little more than a man’s possession imparted by Allah with only half the intelligence of her owner-husband, thus worth only half that of the superior sex and worthy of just half the inheritance that a male receives. Such intellectual and social deficiencies must therefore mean that it’ll be twice as hard for a woman to earn her way into Mohammed’s Paradise, which would explain why Mohammed said that a majority of the occupants in Hell were women. Indeed, no other religion in this world has elevated the status of women like Islam has, because they’ve all elevated women to the status of a full human being.

Mehdi, “women were taken as the spoils of the wars that’s not the case the real case was that when their husband were killed in the war then they did not have any means to support themselves so what Muslims used to do was that they used to take them as their wife’s in order to support them and not to leave them behind”

First, their husbands were killed for not converting to Islam. Second, Muslim men are permitted (Sura 4:24) to take them against their will as their wives, or to keep them as sex slaves. Sura 33:50, “Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty.” Also see 23:5 and 70:30. Sugar coat it if you like, the fact remains that Mohammed clearly believed that taking women as the spoils of war and raping them was sanctioned by Allah. Those statistics are way off. The percentage of males and females are virtually split down the middle (51% male vs. 49% female) at birth. Later in life there are generally a little more women than men since males have a higher mortality. See here.

Perhaps equally between the four of them, but per above they’re still only worth half that of a man. Hardly what I would call “equality”.

The “Jesus” (Isa) of the Qur’an is not the same Jesus that is taught in Biblical Scripture. Mohammed borrowed a few details from the Biblical account of Jesus, but invents another “Jesus” who is instead a Muslim that is simply a prophet of Allah, a mere man. Mohammed even thought that the Christians believed in a God who acquired a son through procreation with Mary. According to the prophet of Islam, the term “son of God” is believed to be, and is therefore understood, in a literal sense. But this misrepresentation is so far from the basic tenets of Christianity that any serious student of the Qur’an should begin questioning the veracity of some of the teachings of Islam on this error alone. The term “son of God” in the Bible is an anthropomorphism and is intended to be understood in a figurative sense, not in a wooden literal sense. It is a metaphor to describe a relational identity. In John 3:16, Jesus is called the only “begotten” son of God (the Greek word monogenēs) which means “unique” or “one of a kind” or “one and only”. As Christians, the Bible teaches us that we are all called God’s children (Matthew 5:9; Romans 8:16; Galatians 3:6; Galatians 4:5; Ephesians 1:5, etc.). But this term is an analogy to describe our relationship to our Heavenly Father. We are not literal “sons” and “daughters”. Even the angels are called “sons of God” in the Bible (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). Even Adam himself is call a “sons of God” (Luke 3:38). But Jesus is called the only “unique” son of God in Scripture for a very good reason. In the Old Testament, before Jesus came as a child into this world, He appeared before His people as the “Angel of the Lord”. He revealed Himself in the burning bush that spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. He appeared before Joshua as the Commander of the Hosts of Heaven. And in the New Testament He is the eternal “Word of God”, called the “unique son of God”, because He is God in the flesh and there is no one else like Him.

John 1:1,14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God … And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten [monogenēs] of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Additonally, we, too, believe in One God. As I wrote here, Mohammed had much difficulty with some of the basic teachings of Christianity. In fact, he believed that the Christian belief of the Trinity to be a polytheistic teaching of “three gods”, characterized as the “Father”, and the “Son” and the “Virgin Mary”. Not only does the “Virgin Mary” have nothing to do with the Trinity (it is the Holy Spirit, not Mary), Christianity teaches in One God only and One God that is Triune. Not three gods. To use an analogy to illustrate this, consider fire. When we observe the fire of a candle, for example, we observe three distinct things: light, heat, and a flame. Yet, the light is fire. The heat is fire. The flame is fire. Although these three are fire, are there three different fires, or only one? Likewise, the Father is called God in Biblical Scripture (Phil 2:1), and so is the Son (John 1:1,14; Col 2:9), and so is the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4). Even though there is a clear distinction, there is only One God. As Deuteronomy 6:4 declares, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” Literally translated, “Hear, O Israel: Yahweh and our Elohim are a united one.” The Old Testament demonstrates a plurality in the Godhead that is a united One, and this distinction is reaffirmed in the New Testament: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).

But the fact that Mohammed got these teachings wrong begs the follow question: What else did he get wrong? Please think about this very carefully. In light of the fact that even Mohammed himself did not know with absolute certainty what would happen to him in the afterlife, why should I — or any other Christian who knows beyond a doubt that they are guaranteed eternal life through faith in the Jesus of the Bible — give up the Christian faith of Jesus for the Islamic faith of Mohammed which we know will guarantee us nothing? You, too, can have the same guarantee that we as Christians share. All you have to do is believe in and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. Would you be willing to pray with an open heart and ask God to guide you to His truth, even if that truth is found in the Jesus of the Bible, and not in Islam?
