If Attacked Iran Threatens to Retaliate Against Israel With ‘30,000 Suicide Bombers’ From Syria


By Dudi Cohen – “In response to reports of a possible Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, Iran is threatening to mount an attack on Israel via the Syrian border. Some 30,000 Syrian and Palestinian men have spent the past three months training to infiltrate Israel in order to carry out suicide missions, the Iranian Fars news agency reported Friday.

The agency, which is associated with the Revolutionary Guards, reported that the men have sent a petition to the Syrian government expressing their willingness to help it through ‘any crisis’ which may arise with Israel.

The article mentions the last ‘Nakba Day’ during which five Palestinians infiltrated Israel and were arrested by security forces.

‘The petition said that those who signed it have passed military, combat and tactical trainings and are ready to tolerate the hardest conditions in Israel,’ the report said.

‘In case a crisis is caused by Israel, these men can give Netanyahu’s government serious problems.'” Read more.

Hezbollah warns of regional war if Iran, Syria attacked – “Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah on Friday warned Israel and the US that a war against Iran and Syria would lead to an all-out regional conflict. ‘They should understand that a war on Iran and Syria will not remain in Iran and Syrian territory, but it will engulf the whole region and there is no escaping this reality,’ Nasrallah said during a televised speech honoring ‘Martyrs’ Day.'” Read more.

Panetta: Strike on Iran Could Have Unintended Consequences – “U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said on Thursday that military action against Iran could have unintended consequences, The Associated Press reported. Speaking to reporters at the Pentagon, Panetta said he agrees with earlier assessments that a strike would only set Iran’s nuclear program back by three years at most. ‘You’ve got to be careful of unintended consequences here,’ Panetta was quoted as saying. ‘And those consequences could involve not only not really deterring Iran from what they want to do, but more importantly, it could have a serious impact in the region and it could have a serious impact on U.S. forces in the region.'” Read more.

U.S. Reportedly Planning Bomb Sales in Gulf to Counter Iran – “The Obama administration has quietly drawn up plans to provide a key Persian Gulf ally with thousands of advanced ‘bunker-buster’ bombs and other munitions, part of a stepped-up U.S. effort to build a regional coalition to counter Iran. The proposed sale to the United Arab Emirates would vastly expand the existing capabilities of the country’s air force to target fixed structures, which could include bunkers and tunnels-the kind of installations where Iran is believed to be developing weapons.” Read more.
