Democrat party policies are much more about creating a constituency than helping people.

In America now its no longer lower, middle and upper classes, but the dependent and non-dependent classes.

Romney’s selection for VP will be what makes or breaks a Republican victory in November. He’ll need to pick someone that will draw in an even larger segment of the conservative vote and someone that will attract a portion of the minority vote. Ideally, someone from one of the big swing states. Florida’s Allen West for VP would be a good pick imho.

Romney has an uphill battle – he can’t just invent new constituencies like Obama can, by Presidential fiat. BTW, did you hear Allen West’s opinion of Obama’s edict? He said exactly what I was thinking.

On the VP – it might result in a momentary uptick in the polls, like Sarah Palin did 4 years ago, but in the end, I don’t think it makes much difference to voters in November. The VP is a really do-nothing position, except for “inserting foot-in-mouth”, as Biden has done a few times. Our last VP Dick Cheney didn’t even have a heartbeat for a few years!

Hey KJ. THe thing with Romney is his family is known in the Mormon church, actually a long well known line. With such a connectedness, the eyes of a few million Mormons, and a desire to be temple worthy at all times, he may stick to his morals even in presidency or his family be shamed and shunned on their way out.

      BIG QUESTIONS THOUGH……..

      1. Would it be weird to have a president under a Mormon bishop? You know the leader of the ‘free world’ being under someone. Would the system allow for that? What would happen to him by adhering to strict Mormon morals (constant attack by LGBT)?

      2. What about Joseph Smith’s prophecy about the Mormon leader in the end times, times when the Constitution would be hanging by a thread? This situation is so complex and generates a million possible conclusions (God knows though Isa 42, last vs.). I mean on one hand, we have a candidate that is bound to religious morals because the Mormon system keep an account of each other and sees each other a few times per week, and that is good, but at the same time, the book of the Revelation warns us about religious leaders as well. Too, the false prophet. Possibly far-fetched but a valid question: For an argument within the confines of the eschatos, what if Rom was AC or had the least bit to do with a babylonic system.empire.etc, and we actually voted him in since he was the best of two evils???? D:

That aside, as the Mormon church would call him, “brother Romney”, is the best option on a potential moral level putting aside theological beliefs. Talk about Rubio as VP?

ALLEN WEST –> BOTH THUMBS UP

    Johnny Jacob,

Its a matter for the rest of the country to fret about, I suppose. Like last time, I won’t be voting for the ‘R’ front runner because there is no way an ‘R’ is going to win our state, therefore I feel more liberty to vote my conscience.

Last time it was Alan Keyes I voted for; this time it will be someone similar; I don’t know who is on the general ballot. In the primary I voted for Santorum.

Ultimately, no man is our savior, and the hole is already too deep for anyone to dig us out of.

And vis a vis an American “Antichrist”, I don’t see it biblically, although there is plenty of damage to be done by bad American leadership, as we have seen.
