Australia: Prime Minister’s Newly Chosen Parliamentary Secretary Ed Husic Swears Loyalty To The Qur’an

Like many other Western nations, there are those in Australia’s government who believe that a multicultural Western society that includes a religious anti-Western ideology is a “wonderful” place to live. But in reality, that’s not working out very well at all in the land down under. And I wonder how the newly chosen parliamentary secretary feels about working for a Prime Minister who, according to the very Qur’an he is holding, is an infidel who must not be obeyed but rather shunned and fought against? …

Qur’an Sura 4:59, “O you who believe [Muslims]! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you [Muslims only] …”

Qur’an Sura 53:29, “Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world.”

Qur’an Sura 9:29a, “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth [Islam] …”

The Age – “The Prime Minister’s new parliamentary secretary, Ed Husic, has been subjected to a torrent of abuse online for being sworn in to his position with a Koran.

Mr Husic became Australia’s first Muslim frontbencher on Monday when he was appointed to Kevin Rudd’s new-look ministry as parliamentary secretary to the Prime Minister and parliamentary secretary for broadband.

‘This is a wonderful day for multiculturalism, and everything it stands for in our country,’ Governor-General Quentin Bryce told Mr Husic during the swearing-in ceremony in Canberra on Monday.

However, after receiving dozens of messages of congratulations on his Facebook page, the comments quickly turned to disgust and outrage that he had chosen to be sworn in on the Muslim holy book.

Some called it un-Australian and unconstitutional.

‘Our allegiance should have been to Queen and Country first Ed. That means saying the oath on the holy bible not the Koran…. Shame, Shame, Shame,’ posted one user, Ross Peace. ‘I am so disappointed in this government that they don’t have the spine to stand up for the Australian way of life.’

Another user, Therese Pearce, said she was ‘disgusted and embarrassed’ for the Australian people.

‘Hell i might just have to use snow white and the 7 dwarfs next time i take the oath for australia,’ she posted.

One user, Anna Dean, claimed his decision to be sworn in on the Koran undermined ‘our culture and country and constitution in this way’.

Another user, Carrie Forrest, accused him of disregarding Australia’s constitution and pushing for sharia.

Mr Husic played down the abuse on Tuesday afternoon by saying that people were entitled in a democracy to question his choice to be sworn in using a Koran and the public should not necessarily jump ‘because of harsh words out of dark corners’.” Read more.

Sunni-Shiite War Spills Over Onto The Streets Of Australia, ‘It’s Very Frightening, What Is Happening’ – “It was not so much a death threat as a declaration of war. ‘You wanna go to war, you f—in’ Shia dogs?’ the phone message says. ‘We’re taking all of you to war, in Sydney and overseas!’ … ‘You wanna kill our brothers and sisters overseas, we’re gonna kill you motherf—ers here,’ the caller says… the civil war in Syria has spilled on to the streets of Sydney. Australia: Muslim Jailed For Beating Wife Says Physical Punishment Of Women Is ‘Good’ In His Culture – “A Melbourne man who bound, gagged and repeatedly struck his wife with a piece of garden hose – and also shaved off her hair – has voluntarily bought a one-way ticket out of Australia… Janabi told Judge Murphy how before he came to Australia in 1996 as a political refugee that ‘our culture’ in Iraq was that ‘if a wife cheats and the husband kills her’ and he attends the police or a court ‘they said to him ‘good on you, just go home’.” Read more.

Australian Muslims Discussing The Beheading Of Lee Rigby Say ‘He Deserved It’ – “Are these Muslims simply outliers within the Ummah, or do they now reflect the true inward sentiments of many “moderate” Muslims living in the West? It appears that the latter is much closer to reality than many of us wish to believe. The Islamic world that has been in a relative “cocoon-like” state is now approaching a new phase in its metamorphosis. And what is emerging is far from beautiful …” Read more.

Do not take it ill. It’s foolish for taking oath on 236 years old Bible. Edham Nurredin Husic wise decision was to take oath on 1434 years old Quran is virtue. Quran is authored by God and the Bible ain’t authored by god but by the following Freemasons Contenders: Amelia Bassano, Edward de Vere, Christopher Marlowe, Francis Bacon, and William Stanley. Guide me to DNA+C40 that discredit this argument and I will have one million dollar in your checking account.

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah is not bound by any contract or treaty with non-Muslims, nor is His Apostle.”

Ishaq:552 “When the populace settled down, Muhammad went to the Ka’aba and compassed it seven times on his camel, touching the Black Stone with a stick. Then he went inside the Temple. There he found a dove made of wood. He broke it in his hands and threw it away.”

[The first idol Muhammad broke was the international symbol of peace.]

Da 8:25 He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power

Hello alakhtal, here are a few facts for your consideration that are historically/archaeologically verifiable and not up for debate. The Bible is a collection of 66 different books that were written over a period of 1,500 years by 40 different authors (the oldest books may be nearly 4000 years old). The Qur’an is just 1 book that was written over a period of 23 years by 1 author. How can the Bible only be “236 years old” when the Qur’an itself refers to it? As I note in my “Questions for Muslim Visitors” page, archaeological discoveries have repeatedly confirmed what Christians have already believed, that Biblical manuscripts and fragments dated even hundreds of years before Mohammed are virtually identical to the canonized Biblical texts we have today. The same cannot be said for the Qur’an, however, where even Muslim archaeologists acknowledge that many aberrations exist in old Qur’anic texts, a forthright admission that runs counter to the Islamic claim that the Qur’an is unchanged and eternal. Contrary to the claims of Muslim apologists, not only does the Qur’an distort and incorrectly define some very basic Christian doctrines, it is also at odds with factual and observable science by presenting a flat earth model for the earth and universe, for instance (and Muslim apologists scrambled to re-interpret their book when science proved it wrong). Moreover, when Muhammad recited the Qur’an, he clearly stated that he did not believe that the Bible was “corrupt” at that time and called upon Christians to adhere to the Scriptures that they already possessed. But this begs the question: Since the Scriptures we have today are the same Scriptures that Christians had even well before the time of Mohammed, when do you believe the Bible could have possibly been corrupted, who corrupted it, and how was it corrupted? And how seriously can we possibly take a book like the Qur’an that isn’t even arranged chronologically, yet says to ignore earlier verses? What is your definition of “timeless and unchanged”?
