Would it be ok if there were infidels on Mars to kill? Considering Islam’s twisted logic it would have to be why a Muslim cleric can issue a fatwa against missions to Mars, but not against suicide missions here on Earth. And if it should “be done with animals, not people” like this cleric suggests, I can think of a few animals of the Islamist species that would fit the bill nicely …

News.com.au – “A SAUDI sheikh has issued a fatwa against anyone wanting to travel to Mars.

A member Saudi Arabia’s board of religious scholars Sheikh Ali al Hemki has criticised the Mars One project which is attempting to organise a commercial mission to the red planet and has drawn expressions of interest from more than 200 thousand people worldwide.

The Ah Hayat newspaper quotes him as saying the mission does not conform to ‘responsible Muslim’ practices.

‘These experiments will lead to the destruction of those who try,’ and so should be done with animals, not people,’ he said.

‘Believers should not should throw themselves into their own hands into perdition.’

While 477 Saudi citizens have applied for the mission, only six have so far been accepted.

The Mars One project aims to create the first human settlement on the Solar System’s second-smallest planet.

More than 2500 Australians have applied for the one-way trip to Mars, which will double as a reality TV show.” Read more.

    NOTHING from Yahoo, Main Stream Media or any other website for that matter. Talk about “censorship!!!”

    Kim Stanley Robinson writes about Bedouin Muslims on Mars in the future but this Imam must not have read it.

      Too bad the answer can’t be just that easy–ship ’em off to Mars!

      And just in case that somehow sounds too insensitive, let me say, hey, I’m all for saving them from hell fire–trouble is, they already know about Jesus, and the Gospel and hell fire (their imams make sure to educate them all about Christian doctrines). But they’ve chosen to reject true salvation. It’s called ‘the blind leading the blind’–just like Jesus said!

      And that being the case, I can only say, ‘Have at it. If you choose death, hey, don’t let me stand in your way!’ If they trample on the Blood of Christ, then they deserve nothing but everlasting torments! There’s no other Savior who’s going to rescue them, as they will surely come to know soon enough!

    This cleric forgets his allahs challenge that none can escape the earth, that allah will shoot them down with fiery arrows meteors???) How can he issue a fatwa that goes beyond the earth, moon and upto mars? Either he disobeys allah or does not believe in that crap.
