WorldWatch Monitor – “A missionary has been killed and several churches set ablaze in attacks by Nigeria’s Islamist group Boko Haram in neighbouring Cameroon.

The Nigerian missionary, David Dina Mataware, with the Christian Missionary Foundation (CMF), was killed on November 13 by suspected Boko Haram militants in Ashigashia, a village which straddles the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

He was murdered on the same day as the kidnapping of a French priest, Father Georges Vandenbeusch, but the death was not reported by the media, a church leader told World Watch Monitor, even though both incidents happened in the same area.

The kidnap was claimed by Boko Haram ‘in an operation co-ordinated with Ansaru’, its spokesman told Agence France Presse. Ansaru is a Boko Haram splinter group that has attacked several Western and Nigerian targets. It claimed responsibility for the kidnap and murder of seven international construction workers earlier in 2013.

Mataware had worked with CMF since 2010. CMF is a Nigeria-based mission agency active in Cameroon since 1989. Its ministry is focused on the tribes of Mandara, Kanouri and Guemergou in the district of Mora in northern Cameroon.

‘An undetermined number of armed men crossed the border and entered into Cameroon at midnight. On their way back, they attacked the CMF compound. Unfortunately, one of the six missionaries had his throat cut. Five others managed to flee,’ said the church leader, who wished to remain nameless.

Cameroon is a secular country in Central Africa. Approximately 70 per cent of the population is at least nominally Christian and most of its population in the North are Muslims.

Over the weekend of November 15-17, a number of incidents took place alongside the porous border of Nigeria and Cameroon. Local sources contacted by World Watch Monitor say dozens of properties, including Ewy church in Tourou (in Cameroon) were attacked while at least one church was set ablaze and destroyed on the Nigerian side of Ashigashia.

At least four people were killed and many others wounded and transferred to health centres. Despite the reinforcement of security forces in the area, villagers fear continued attacks from Islamist militants from Nigeria.” Read more.

For peaceful purposes, mind you. In July of 2013, Muslim Brotherhood supporters promised to create a “new Taliban” in Egypt after the ousting of Mohammed Morsi. Now, any rational human being would have thought that promising to become like those who sheltered Osama Bin Laden and his terror network before, during and after the attacks of 9/11 — and keeping that promise — would have spurred the Obama Administration to begin dropping support for Egypt’s “new Taliban” by now. But in the conveniently twisted world of Barack Hussein Obama, however, the Taliban are suddenly no longer our enemies. Such a title, coveted by terrorists the world over, is instead being reserved for Evangelicals, Catholics and “Islamophobes” …

Authorities are seeking to put down unrest by both Islamists and secular activists as a government-appointed assembly tries to finish a final draft on an amended constitution by early next week. The draft has raised criticism from democracy advocates for increasing powers of the military and president.

Since a popularly backed military coup ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi in July, his supporters have been staging near-daily protests calling for his reinstatement. The rallies have often descended into street clashes with security forces or civilians.

To quash pro-Morsi rallies, which have persisted despite a heavy security crackdown, the military-backed government issued the law Sunday banning protests without a police permit. On Thursday, a student was killed when police put down a march by Islamists from Cairo University…

Islamist supporters of Morsi held their latest rallies around the country and in multiple parts of Cairo, most of them numbering in the hundreds. Ten people were wounded in clashes and 183 arrested, according to emergency services and the Interior Ministry…

Secular activists did not hold rallies Friday, aiming to avoid association with the Islamists. The activists oppose the Islamists, seeing them as equally undemocratic as the new government — and are wary of being tainted as pro-Brotherhood at a time when a large swath of the public remains eager to crush Islamists.

‘Friday is the Brotherhood’s day,’ Mohammed Adel, a leading member of the secular activist group April 6, told the AP. ‘Even if we had the same cause, we will not protest with them.’

Meanwhile, Muslim residents of a village in southern Minya province attacked Christian homes, burning 10 houses and wounding 15 Christians, including a 15 year-old girl thrown from the third floor of a building, according to Ezzat Ibrahim, an activist who monitors minority rights.” Read more.

By Sonia Bailley, American Thinker – “Muslims groups around the world are crying Islamophobia and playing the victim card as horrific Islamic-motivated crimes, such as grooming and rape-gangs, rage on with impunity throughout the Western world, especially in Europe. Rape or grooming gangs, which are almost entirely Muslim, are committing a crime that is religiously mandated in Islamic doctrine.

Muslim grooming gangs have been operating unchallenged in Europe for over 20 years, especially in the UK, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and France. These widespread and highly organized gangs continue to rape and pimp non-Muslim underage schoolgirls who are used as sex slaves and sometimes tortured or killed. Just recently, in mid-2013, British police arrested 45 mostly Muslim men (mainly Pakistani and Bangladeshi) in West Yorkshire belonging to the largest grooming gang uncovered in the UK.

Throughout Europe, gang members are being described as ‘Asians’, and not Muslim. Governments, police forces, social services, childcare agencies, the mainstream media, and even academics fear being falsely accused by leftists and Muslim groups of Islamophobia or ‘racism’ if they were to publicly identify the gangs as Muslim. In Britain, a detailed and comprehensive report will be issued next year illustrating the failure of the government to stop Muslim grooming gangs.

No country with a Muslim population is immune to grooming gangs. America is on the same path as Europe and trailing not too far behind. In fact, Muslim grooming gangs (mainly Somali) have already found their way to the streets of America. These gangs have been operating for over 10 years in Minnesota, Tennessee, Michigan, and Ohio. The largest grooming case in U.S. history was from Somali immigrant communities in Minneapolis (MN) and Nashville (TN), in which 29 Somali Muslims were indicted in 2010 for kidnapping, raping, and selling underage girls between 2000 and 2010.

Canada and Australia are also seeing their fair share of Muslim grooming gangs. But as with Europe, government agencies assume the politically-correct approach in insisting that Islam has nothing to do with this crime, and the mainstream media fails to report these gang members as being mainly Muslim. In doing so, the rape and exploitation of thousands more vulnerable schoolgirls are being facilitated. Also, many Muslim gang-rapes go unreported because the victims are too scared or embarrassed to report these crimes.

Why is this horrific global crime of child grooming a phenomenon that occurs mainly amongst Muslim immigrants from Islamic countries? As it turns out, this crime is religiously and politically motivated by Islamic doctrine, which calls for the capturing, raping, and prostituting of non-Muslim women and children after battle, as well as keeping or selling them as sex slaves. Mohammed himself was a slave-owner, and had sex slaves whom he captured in battle. He advised his male followers to imitate his example. In Islam, everything that Mohammed did must be emulated, as he is considered to be the exemplary leader, the perfect man.

India: News Reporter Severely Beaten By Muslim Mob After Trying To Help Elderly Muslim Woman

DNA India – “A reporter of local eveninger Karavali Ale was beaten up by members of a Muslim fundamentalist group on Thursday morning at Kolnad near Vittla, about 40 km from here, for helping an aged Muslim woman build a house for herself.

VT Prasad has been hospitalised for severe injuries and internal bleeding.

According to police, 35 men suspected to be from Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) attacked the reporter near his house, beating him up with clubs and sticks and dragged him to a distance of 100 metres before they dumped him.

The group tried to prevent him from being taken to hospital, blocking the road leading to Kolnad. When the ambulance arrived, they surrounded the vehicle and tried to drag him out. A strong crowd of locals intervened and shifted him to Mangalore hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical, but stable.

Prasad helped an old Muslim woman who was living alone in abject poverty. He collected donations from local residents and helped her build a small house on a piece of land she owned. Russia: ‘Unidentified Extremists’ Burn Churches In Tatarstan, Christians Pressured To Convert To Islam

In Tatarstan – autonomous republic of the Russian Federation, with a Muslim majority – the extremism alarm is increasing. So much so that the President Rustam Minnikhanov has expressed concern and promised to personally follow the investigations.

As for the fires, and in various parts of the region, the charges  have been formalized as vandalism , and arson,  in violation of freedom of conscience and religion. Investigators insist, however , that they be considered as ‘acts of terrorism’ .

The last year saw Christian seven parishes torched. The last two episodes occurred on 28 and 29 November, as reported by the Regnum.ru  news agency. In 2012 there was a similar case. The attorney general pointed the finger at ‘unidentified extremists’ and the culprits risk up to 20 years in prison .

According to the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, investigators are following the trail of Wahhabi groups  That those responsible for the attacks are Muslims adherents to radical Islam with the support of the local clergy. In an interview with Interfax , Father Dmitri Sizov , pastor of Pestrechinsky, said that ‘the whole community knows that it is the work of the Wahhabis.’ According to the priest, in some predominantly Christian villages of Tatarstan ‘fundamentalist agitators roam, inviting the faithful to convert to Islam’. ‘The priests remain silent because they are afraid of being accused of incitement to religious hatred’, added Fr . Sizov .

President Minnikhanov has offered a reward of one million rubles for those who provide useful information to identify those responsible for the attacks, and a criminal investigation for terrorist attacks was opened, after the discovery of unexploded ordnance in the districts of Alexeyevsky and Nizhnekamsk , at the end of November.” Read more.

Islamic Movement: All Negev Lands In Israel Belong To Islam

In an official statement released earlier this week, the movement blessed the violent protesters, calling them ‘heroes’ for their ‘honorable battle stance’ against the ‘fascist’ Israeli government. The movement claims that Israel is ‘racist’ for trying to ‘expel the Arabs from the Negev and confiscate the their land.’

‘We oppose and condemn the plans for the establishment of Jewish villages on Arab land to be confiscated in the Negev, and we see that [Israel has] a record of sadism, racism and contempt for all the Arabs.’

The movement failed to specify which Knesset members were involved with the movement.

The Islamic movement in the Negev, which is led by regional Sheikh Mousa Abu Iyada, opposes the sale of land owned by Muslims to Israelis and non-Muslims under restrictions they claim are imposed by Sharia law. The movement also claimed in a December 2011 demonstration that the entire Negev is ‘Waqf,’ or sacred to Islam, and that Muslims are forbidden from “giving it up” to its legal Israeli owners under any circumstances.” Read more.

Islamic Party Member In Egypt Threatens Christians: You ‘Will Regret’ Supporting Overthrow Of Morsi

The Christian Post – “Assem Abdel Magid, a member of the Islamic party Gamaah Islamiya, has renewed his threats against the Coptic Church and its leaders, who he accused again of supporting what he called a ‘coup.’

Magid insisted that the church and its leaders will regret it, and that the church made a strategic mistake when it stood against the first elected president. Magid was referring to the church’s support of the revolution of June 30, which deposed Mohamed Morsi.

In an interview on Al-Jazeera, Magid said the church leaders will be held accountable for what they did, adding that the coup was headed by a religious minority against the majority and a minority of corrupt seculars.

Prior to the Morsi ouster, Magid claimed in an interview on el-Nas Islamic channel on June 9, that, ‘Coptic communists, extremists, and atheists are calling for demonstrations on June 30’ while warning that Copts to not participate in these demonstrations by saying, ‘Do not offer your children as sacrifices.’

Coptic Christians have been subjected to fierce attacks by Islamists since the ouster of President Morsi on July 3 and the breakup of the Muslim Brotherhood’s sit-ins in Rabaa el-Adaweya and Nahda squares on August 14.

The attacks resulted in the burning of 82 churches, 32 of which were completely destroyed. This was in addition to the looting and torching of a large number of Coptic homes and shops in various Egyptian governorates.” Source – The Christian Post.

Since Islam’s “perfect man” and “excellent example to follow” was himself a slave trader, this poor Saudi believer may have simply been trying to earn a meeting with “Allah” some day by following in the footsteps of Mohammed himself. No word on whether or not funds were now being raised to expedite that meeting …

No it’s not a joke. Saudi Arabia had an estimated 300,000 slaves in 1960. Slavery was then officially abolished, but unofficially continues to exist.

Saudis who travel outside their country sometimes bring their slaves with them, leading to run-ins with the law. One of the ugliest such incidents was the murder of a slave by a Saudi prince in London.” Read more.

The Vancouver Sun – “A provincial court judge has tightened restrictions on a Kamloops teenager labelled by the RCMP as a high risk to commit targeted acts of violence and terrorism.

The court heard that Mounties searched the 17-year-old boy’s home earlier this year and found documents about bomb making, interrogation and torturing techniques and Canadian links to al-Qaida.

The youth, who can’t be named under a publication ban, was in court Monday after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a social worker last month and breaching probation.

He is already serving a three-year probation order for a conviction of arson and break and enter last year.

Judge Chris Cleaveley sentenced the teen to 30 days in custody for the recent charges and then tightened the teen’s probation conditions after hearing about the materials Mounties found in his home.

Karzai confirmed that the Obama Administration actually told him that the Taliban, which provided al Qaeda its base of support for September 11, was not an enemy of the U.S. He said:

Last year, during my visit to Washington, in a very important briefing a day before I met U.S. President [Barack Obama], his national security adviser Tom Donilon, and senior White House officials, generals, and intelligence officials, the national security adviser met with me. He told me: “The Taliban are not our enemies and we don’t want to fight them.”

If Obama really believes that, and certainly his willingness to negotiate with the Taliban and to release high-ranking Taliban prisoners, without at least exchanging them for Sgt Bowe Bergdahl still being held in captivity, suggests he does, why are we still there?

Al Qaeda was hardly a presence in Afghanistan during Obama’s surge. So why did Obama approve a massive military surge? He repeatedly claimed it was against Al Qaeda, but there were something like 100 Al Qaeda there.

As he justified sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan at a cost of $30 billion a year, President Barack Obama’s description Tuesday of the al Qaeda “cancer” in that country left out one key fact: U.S. intelligence officials have concluded there are only about 100 al Qaeda fighters in the entire country.

A senior U.S. intelligence official told ABCNews.com the approximate estimate of 100 al Qaeda members left in Afghanistan reflects the conclusion of American intelligence agencies and the Defense Department. The relatively small number was part of the intelligence passed on to the White House as President Obama conducted his deliberations.

So under him over 1,500 American soldiers died fighting an enemy that Obama never believed was our enemy? And they died because he tied their hands with rules of engagement that did not let them defend themselves.” Source – Frontpage Mag.

Muslim Persecution Of Christians: September 2013, A Month Of Horror For Christians Under Islam

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “The same month that Obama tried to wage war on behalf of the jihadi rebels in Syria (citing ‘human rights‘ concerns), some of the war’s worst atrocities were committed against that nation’s Christian minority, most notably in Ma’loula, an ancient Christian region where the inhabitants spoke Aramaic, the language of Jesus.

There, al-Qaeda-linked jihadis fired mortars and missiles into at least two ancient churches before looting them; some 80 Christians trying to defend their homes were killed. Others who could not flee were forced, on pain of death, to convert to Islam.

One man’s last words before being slaughtered by the rebels were: ‘I am a Christian, and if you want to kill me for that, I do not object to it.’ A nun involved with humanitarian relief said the man ‘is a Martyr in Christ in the full sense of this word, since he was murdered solely because of religious hatred!’

The Christian Post reports:

Jihadists reportedly forced one man to convert to Islam at gunpoint and slit the throat of another Christian woman’s fiancé and then [mockingly] told her, ‘Jesus didn’t come to save him.’…. ‘I saw people wearing Al-Nusra headbands who started shooting at crosses,’ the Christian senior told the AFP. One of the shooters, he said, ‘put a pistol to the head of my neighbor and forced him to convert to Islam by obliging him to repeat ‘there is no God but God’ [Islamic shehada] … Afterwards they joked, ‘he’s one of ours now.”

In al-Thawrah, Syria, Christians were also singled out for attack by jihadi invaders. In one incident, they stopped three residents, released two who identified themselves as Muslims, and bludgeoned to death the third after he identified himself a Christian (graphic image). They also destroyed, among other churches, the Antiochian Orthodox church of Sts. Sergius and Bacchus.

In Raqqah, a city in northern Syria, the al-Qaeda linked ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ broke the crosses off the area’s two Christian churches and placed on them al-Qaeda’s Islamic flags. They also set the contents of the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of Martyrs aflame. In one video, a Muslim ‘freedom fighter’ smashes a statue of Virgin Mary to shouts of Islam’s war-cry cry, ‘Allahu Akbar!’ [‘Allah is Greater!’]

These latest attacks come in the context of yet another fatwa that appeared in September, and issued by 36 Islamic scholars who legitimized ‘the right of the faithful Sunni Muslims to Read more…
