Qur’an Sura 9:29, “[Mohammed said] Fight those who believe not in Allah … (even if they are) of the People of the Book [Christians], until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”

According to Islam, the religiously-sanctioned extortion tax imposed upon Christians — called “jizya” — will one day come to an end, but it will not be abolished because Islam will suddenly have a change of heart and grant Christians equal status amongst Muslims. It will be abolished because at that time all Christians who refuse to convert to Islam will then be slaughtered for the glory of the magnificent and merciful “Allah.” After all, how can Muslims impose their “tax” upon Christians when the Islamic version of “Jesus” sees to it that no Christians are left to impose it upon? …

Hadith, AbuHurayrah Book 37, Number 4310, “Jesus … will descent (to the earth)… He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam.”

AINA – “The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has begun to brutally enforce Islamic laws (AINA 2014-06-14) in Mosul, Iraq, which it overran on June 10.

Dr. Sallama Al Khafaji, a member of the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights, told AINA that on Saturday, June 21 ISIS began demanding a poll tax (jizya) from Christians in Mosul (AINA 2014-06-21). In one instance, ISIS members entered the home of an Assyrian family in Mosul and demanded the poll tax (jizya). When the Assyrian family said they did not have the money, three ISIS members raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband and father. The husband and father was so traumatized that he committed suicide.

‘The Christians have told me that they cannot pay this tax,’ said Dr. Al-Khafaji, ‘and they say ‘what am I to do, shall I kill myself?’

According to the Arabic language website Alghadeer, four Christian women were shot and killed by ISIS members because they were not wearing veils. AINA has not confirmed this and this website is known to be administered by Shiites.” Source – AINA.

Accoring to Emad’s brother Dr. Samy Damian, Emad was contacted about 9:30 PM by a member of the gang, who demanded 10,000 Egyptian pounds so that he could buy weapons. ‘My brother said that he had no problems with anyone, does not require services from anyone, and does not have the money.’” Read more.

    With a strict interpretation of the Bible, Christian women would be required to dress like Muslim women. How lukewarm modern Christians are.

    No, Christian women are not required to dress like Muslim women. Remember, according to Biblical Scripture God’s order is that the husband is the head of the wife just as God the Father is the head of God the Son (1 Cor. 11:3). Unlike what we see in Islam, inferiority and inequality is never implied in any way, shape or form in Christianity. The Father and the Son are co-equal and united, just as the husband and the wife are one.

    Moreover, according to PlainSimpleFaith.com, “The first mistake people make when studying this issue is by beginning with 1 Corinthians 11:2. To adequately understand the passage, we must know the context, which Paul begins in 10:23 … Here we are introduced to an important principle. Paul begins in verse 23 by informing us that while all things have a legitimate use, they may be used illegitimately. More specifically (verse 24), even good things, if we are not careful, can be detrimental to the people around us. This principle is illustrated with the example of eating meat (verses 25-31)… The point is this: Christians need to be aware of how their actions could be perceived by other people. We must place a priority on protecting the name of Christ and building up His Church… Paul further illuminates this principle for these early Corinthian Christians with the cultural practice of that day concerning women and head coverings (1 Corinthians 11:2-16)…

    Evidently, some of these early Christian women were engaging in their religious duties and public interactions without their veil/head-covering. By violating this cultural norm, they were also violating the principle found in 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1. Why was this so bad?

    * It sent a message that they did not recognize or respect the headship of a man.
    * It sent a message that they did not respect the fact of creation – that woman was created from man.
    * It sent a message that they did not care about what the angels witnessed.
    * It sent a message that they did not care about society’s standards and customs.
    * It sent a message that they were being rebellious to the regular practice of the churches and Paul’s instructions.

    Paul told these early Christians they needed to stop violating the cultural norms of appearance (cf. 11:4-6, 13). Corinthian Christian women were to start covering their heads when in public. Christian men were to look like men, and Christian women were to look like women. In so doing, they would stop hurting the image of the Church and offending the consciences of weaker Christians.”

    In Western culture, wearing any type of head covering — be they hats, veils or scarves — is little more than a fashion accessory. It is not a cultural norm, nor does it symbolize respect or submission to the headship of the husband, and as such the principle given to us in 1 Corinthians 10 and 11 are not applicable in this regard.
