The Historical Achilles’ Heel Of Islam

Historical errors. Scientific errors. Erroneous comprehension of basic Christian theology. Contradictory verses. When it comes to the “miraculous” Qur’an, the only “miracle” I see is the fact that anyone still chooses to believe it …

Heavens and Earth Created in 6 Days
Qur’an Sura 7:54, “… your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days …”

Heavens and Earth Created in 8 Days
Qur’an Sura 41:9-12, “… created the earth in two Days … set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures’] sustenance in four days … Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days …”

Noah and All His Family Were Saved From the flood:
Qur’an Sura 21:76, “And mention Noah, when he called to Allah before that time, so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood.”

Noah’s Son Drowned:
Qur’an Sura 11:42-43, “And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart from them, ‘O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers.’ But he said, ‘I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the water.’ … And the waves came between them, and he was among the drowned.”

Qur’an Sura 4:157, “And for their saying, ‘Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah .’ And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but another was made to resemble him to them… they did not kill him, for certain.”

Dr. William Lane Craig on the Qur’an and the Resurrection of Jesus: “[O]ne of the most remarkable things about the Qur’an’s testimony to Jesus is that it denies Jesus’ crucifixion. I find this to be the Achilles’ Heel, frankly, of Islam, is that the one historical fact about Jesus of Nazareth that is universally acknowledged by all critics today, even the most skeptical, is that Jesus of Nazareth was executed by crucifixion by the Romans… so it’s tremendously embarrassing, I think, for the Muslim that this record denies the one historical fact about Jesus that is indisputable, that everyone agrees to, and I think that when you reflect on this it shows, again, that when you’re dealing with the New Testament documents you are dealing with documents that are primitive, primary sources out of the first century during the lifetime of the eye witnesses, compared to a document written in Arabia six centuries after the event with no independent historical source of information for the life of Jesus. Therefore, it’s not surprising that, in the Qur’an, we would have these factual mistakes and legends about Jesus that aren’t characteristics of the primitive, primary sources.”
