Times of Israel – 1,000 Boats Said Set To Leave Turkey For Gaza Waters In New ‘Freedom Flotilla’ – “Approximately 1,000 boats will gather in Turkey on Wednesday before heading toward Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade and disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel during the war with Hamas, in an apparent repeat of similar attempts from over a decade ago.

In an interview with Turkish news website Haber7, Volkan Okçu, one of the organizers of the protest, indicated the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries, ‘including anti-Zionist Jews.’

Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists, he said. Only 12 Turkish vessels will join the flotilla, he told Haber7.

However, Okçu said in a later tweet that he expected the number of Turkish vessels to be much higher, at least 1,000, and insisted that the initiative is not associated with the Turkish government. He did not explain the discrepancy in numbers.

The activist indicated to Haber7 that the flotilla is scheduled to leave Turkish coasts on Thursday. The maritime convoy is set to make a first stop in Cyprus before continuing toward the Israeli port of Ashdod. Some participants in the flotilla will also reportedly take their spouses and children on board.” Read more.

Times of Israel – Cabinet Approves Deal For Release Of 50 Gaza Hostages In Exchange For Multi-Day Truce – “In a pivotal vote early Wednesday morning, Israel’s cabinet approved an agreement to secure the release of roughly 50 hostages who were abducted into Gaza during Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught…

Not all details of the agreement have been formally released to the public, but an Israeli government official briefing reporters on Tuesday said the deal was expected to see the release of 50 living Israeli citizens, mostly women and children, in groups of 12-13 people per day.

In exchange, Israel has agreed to a ceasefire for at least four days for the first time since the outbreak of the war.

The government confirmed those terms of the agreement following the vote, without offering details regarding any of the other Israeli concessions, which are expected to include the release of imprisoned female and underage terror convicts, though not those convicted of murdering Israelis.” Read more.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the Palestinian Authority for its falsehood, calling the statement ‘utterly preposterous.’

‘It denied that it was Hamas that carried out the horrible massacre at the nature festival near Gaza,’ Netanyahu said in a video statement released on Sunday in Hebrew and English. ‘It actually accused Israel of carrying out that massacre. This is a complete reversal of truth.’

Gatestone Institute – “One of the reasons why Palestinian leaders refuse to condemn Hamas’s October 7 massacre of Israelis is because they know that many Palestinians support the atrocities committed by the Iran-backed Palestinian terrorist group…

A public opinion poll published on November 14 showed that 75% of Palestinians support Hamas’s murder spree, including rape and beheadings, as opposed to only 13% who disapprove.

The poll, conducted by the Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD), covered 668 respondents across the West Bank and Gaza Strip…

Surprisingly, the poll found that support for Hamas and its ‘military operation’ is even higher in the West Bank, where Abbas’s Palestinian Authority is based, than in the Gaza Strip. In the past two years, the West Bank, controlled by Abbas’s security forces, have seen the emergence of several terrorist groups affiliated with Hamas, as well as another Iranian proxy, Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Abbas has done nothing, ever, to rein in the terrorists, who are responsible for countless attacks on Israelis. Unfortunately, this is the same West Bank where the Biden administration and the European Union want to establish a Palestinian state. If such a large number of Palestinians in the West Bank support the murder of Israelis and Hamas, it is safe to assume that a new ‘Palestinian state’ would be controlled by Hamas or another genocidal, antisemitic terror group.

The poll also showed that 68% of the Palestinians in the West Bank said they ‘extremely support’ the butchering of Israelis, while another 14.8% said they ‘somewhat’ support it. In total, 87.7% of the Palestinians in the West Bank have a positive sentiment toward Hamas. Only 10.2% of the Palestinians living in the West Bank have a negative sentiment toward Hamas.

Another, but less-surprising, result of the poll is that 80% of the Palestinians reject both the ‘one-state’ and ‘two-state’ solutions, and instead demand all the territory, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea – in short, the entire State of Israel within any borders.” Read more.

The Jerusalem Post – “In testimony to the US House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, officials from the US Department of Homeland Security and the FBI warned about increased security threats following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7.

Their testimony highlighted the rapidly evolving global threat landscape and the potential consequences for the United States and its communities.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas opened the testimony on a somber note.

‘Already, in the weeks since the assessment publication, the world has changed after Hamas terrorists viciously attacked thousands of innocent men, women, and children in Israel on October 7, 2023, brutally murdering, wounding, and taking hostages of all ages,’ he said.

The terrorist attack sent shock waves across the world, but it also had implications for the United States.

‘Since this department’s inception, the threat landscape our department is charged with confronting continues to evolve,’ Mayorkas said. ‘Although the terrorism threat in the United States has remained heightened throughout 2023, Hamas’s attack on Israel, along with other recent events, have sharpened the focus of potential attacks on targeted individuals and institutions perceived as symbolic of or tied to the conflict.'” Read more.

It is a possibility and one that I don’t believe would always be confined to Muslim majority nations. There are thousands of Muslims imprisoned all across the West for rape, murder, terrorism and more, so it is conceivable that Western hostages could be taken in exchange for the release and safe passage of high-profile figures. Perhaps more nations would do well to adopt their own version of America’s Second Amendment …

The Times Of Israel – “Massacres and large-scale abductions of civilians such as seen in Israel on October 7 are nearly unprecedented in the annals of global terrorism, an already horrific history that includes atrocities such as the hijacking of civilian aircraft, the deliberate crashing of planes into skyscrapers, and the execution of civilians using various methods — sometimes broadcast live to the world.
